GOP watch: Working around Steele

In what is a case of water-cooler gossip to the extreme, some conservatives and pundits are floating Sarah Palin's name to take over as the Republican National Committee chairwoman. But don't miss this quote in this New York Daily News article about Michael Steele from GOP strategist Vin Weber: "Everyone is basically working around him. Republicans have sort of put together a mode of operation for this election cycle that does not put the RNC chairman in a central role."

Speaking of Palin, her PAC has released a gauzy Web video called, "Mama Grizzlies." In it Palin says with crowd cheering in the background, "Look out Washington, 'cause there's a whole stampede of pink elephants crossin' the line, and the ETA, stampeding through, is November 2nd, 2010. Lotta women comin' together." Politico notes that she the her remarks "borrow heavily from her speech to the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List."

What could possibly be better for the Democrats prospects in 2012 than to have Steele replaced by Palin? Santa Claus must be a Democrat! :)

So telling just how racist the Insolent Minority is that they're working around Wailing Old Woeman Michelle Steele, their token Uncle Tom whom they picked to run the RNC to counter Democrats and our first black president. Hopefully Melancon will go after Prostitute Patron Vitter about Vitter's woman beating staffer.

Nothing says drunk and gay like Pink Elephants and Simpleton Sarah Palin is the epitome of drunken gay corrupt conservatives with Elephant Dung all over them. Sinister Sarah Palin is just the most stupid woman ever to be elected to office. We know that the only kind of old hags in the party of sore losers would be Grizzled Mommas, no wonder the repugnant one men need to wolf down so much Viagra.

I thought the Republicans didn't believe Affirmative Action!!Micheal Steele is what Affirmative Action is not about!

It is about giving people with potential the opportunity to be successful. Steele has no potential and is not successful except at being a Buffon!

        What does "buffon" mean?

I have a republican, female friend. On Palin she tells me she admires a woman who can "get far in politics".

                  My response to her:

"Wow! You must really admire Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi."

                  Her response back:

Just picture a deer in the headlights! Go figure!

Palin will do anything to stir up fear and hate, especially getting paid big bucks to do it. And as long as there are idiots who will pay and support her, Palin will not stop. She is about the worse American in this country.

all of these republican women( brewer, palin, angle, thomas, just to mention a few) must feel they have to be combative, tough, war like ,spout anything whether it is true or not just to get in the public eye. They look scary, spouting hate and fighting all the time. No class and no character and sarah palin leads the pack. no matter how you dress a pig , it looks, smells and acts like a pig

So your party has a chairman, the leader, spokesman for your party and you work AROUND him. Why is that? Could it be that he is the "token negro" to balance out the successful African-American President who happens to be from the other party? If the chairman is not doing what they expect than they need to replace him with someone who will do their will. What good is the chairman if he has no power?

As a Democrat I see that going from Steele to Palin would be the gift of a lifetime for the Democratic Party. As stupid as Steele seems Palin is worse. Some pretty weird and outrageous stuff has come from the mouth of Steele but think about the malarkey that has come from the hatefilled mouth of Palin. I, for one, would love to see the GOP move to make Palin their head. I would love to see that party melt away as more and more Democrats replace Republicans even in staunchly Republican precints. The few vocal extremists among us will support Palin and the manifestation of the Republican Party the moderates and progressives will get as far from her as possible. As chairperson she will always be there in the background.

The Right, Hamiltonians, were Federalists and they didn't last as they were too conservative so the Hamiltonians became more liberal and called themselves Whigs. Then, they became more liberal by supporting the abolition of slavery and other issues thus abandoning the more conservative Whigs, moderate and progressives went to the Republican Party. Now that the Republican Party is extremely conservative, Hamiltonians will do it again and abandon the conservatives and form a new party which will be more liberal than theirs. What will it be called? Who will be their candidates and their party leader? How long will the Jeffersonians (Democrats) continue to dominate before the new, more liberal, Hamiltonian party can gain any real power?
