Sarah Palin has spent much of this primary season supporting her "Mama Grizzlies," touring the country to stump for female conservatives like Nikki Haley in South Carolina and Karen Handel in Georgia -- as she did yesterday.
But an analysis of her primary endorsements reveals that, so far this cycle, the former Alaska governor has actually lent her support to more men than women.
Among the 28 candidates she's endorsed, according to her Facebook page, 10 have been women and 18 have been men. And of the 12 Palin-endorsed candidates who already have faced voters, four men and four women ended up winning the GOP nomination, while two men and two women have failed to win their party's nod -- so a 67% success rate for Palin's endorsements.
(Thirteen Palin-backed candidates haven't yet had their primaries. And another three others -- Handel, Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer, and Colorado congressional candidate Bob McConnell -- have their primaries today.)
In light of Palin's consistent message of women-powered politics -- such as her "Mama Grizzlies" Web ad, in which she proclaimed, "This year will be remembered as a year when common-sense conservative women get things done for our country" -- it's interesting to note that three out of her last four endorsements have been for men: Brian Murphy (MD-GOV), Rita Meyer (WY-GOV), John Gomez (NY-2) and Michael Grimm (NY-13).
In a few cases, Palin has purposefully not endorsed a female candidate -- like Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), with whom Palin has had a strained relationship. (Palin endorsed Murkowski's opponent in 2004 after Murkowski was appointed to the Senate by her father. Palin defeated her father in the 2006 GOP gubernatorial primary.) Palin threw her support in the race this year to Tea Party-backed challenger Joe Miller.
Palin also refrained from endorsing Colorado Senate hopeful Jane Norton when she appeared in Denver in May, despite praising the former lieutenant governor's pro-life stance in a speech in Washington, D.C., a week earlier. Her former 2008 presidential campaign running mate, John McCain, campaigned for Norton Sunday. Palin, however, did not endorse Norton's primary opponent, Ken Buck.

Palin's picks are mainly right wing authoritarian hacks who will steal votes from legitimate contenders, people who would actually represent the rights of citizens. In the Maryland governors race, we have a common sense, moderate, Republican former governor who was swept out in the anti-Bush, anti-GOP fervor, facing a fairly popular Democratic governor in a Democratic state. Palin's intrusion only confuses the issue by rallying the hateniks and right wing extremists into committing to someone other than the only Republican with a chance of winning against the incumbent. Palin should keep her stupid nose out of races she knows nothing about, which appears to be most of them.

Well, Palin is not a victim so I think it's worth nothing Palin only appears on the scene when the momentum is in favor of the winning candidate. Tea baggers if I'm not mistaken represent 20% of the electorate. So she's still a loser.

Well ater the drug culture of the 60s and 70s. And the S&L Scandel of the 70s fll up of DEMOS trying to damage control. That was about low income housing money being lended to housing contractors to build condos, that turned out to be 2000 plus dollar a month rental units. They got caught with their hinds and fists in the tax payers money pot, and it was the oil embargo that messed them up. They couldn't replace the money, hence the Savings and Loan Scandle and guess who was a s s hole deep in that one. And then White water scandel. And now the bailouts and still no jobs, no homes,, And it was wealthy money people that dumped their muliti-million dollar homes and brought on the crash in housing and hedge fund investments. How in h e ll can any one like palin be any worse the the corrupt bunch we have now be. They are all lawyers lawyers lawyers lawyers andd more lawyers.
And every thing that has happened like what I talked in my last post was deliberately planed by all the people on the hill and they all got million of american dollars from all involved. The only way to fix an old house some times is to totally rase it and build from scratch. This crape of the dems putting the repubs down is all play act. They all take drama class before becoming a trial lawyer, called double think, If you advertise a soo called fact enough it becomes a truth, but it is still a lie. FR ~ Could you possibly put the gender thing in a little clearer perspective by telling us what was the gender of the opponents that Ms. Palin did not endorse in each of the races? For example, if both candidates were men or both women, then non sum zero. Unless there's some dramatic pattern in the remaining races, the numbers you show don't mean very much. Besides, the sample itself may be too small to draw any significant inferences. Just sayin'

how anyone in their right mind want to have this ditz who only finished out 1/2 of her first term as the governor of the largest state with the least people of any state in our country basically because she knew she would have had impeachment brought to her very soon for corruption and other things. being the governor of alaska would be a breeze for a honest person but in politics anyone with a brain knows there is no honesty in politics and if it was not for political power atleast half of them would be in jail or possibly prison - yep, politics - the place where a convicted felon can keep on running for office time and time over while if you are not in politics you would be in prison for most of the crap they get away with

I am super conservative, and even I do not want her to run for president. She would win because she can build frenzy like few others, and there are sadly those that would support her only because she would be the first women pres, but she would be an embarrassment, and for that reason I hope she does not win. But still, it does suggest that the left is scared when they find the need to do a story on everything she says.

But Sarah, Sarah, what would you do to improve the economy, to face those challeneges and resolve those issues we have internationally in Afghanistan, Iran and perhaps N. Korea? How would you create jobs in America? What would you suggest we do about the failing State budgets? What services or fed programs would you cut? How would you balance the budget and reduce the deficit? How would you help to keep people in their homes. What are your ideas on reforming HC? How would you handle a natural disaster in the U.S.? What do you think of our public education system and how would you improve it? What would you do with the 20 million illegal immigrants in this country? Etc., Etc.?

I wonder if Palin would have torn it down on her own if the teacher wasn't there. It would have been nice to have caught that on film but it was bad enough that she didn't just walk by but the rudeness to go up and confront someone on there own property and tear down a sign...very thinned skin. Sometimes if you don't laugh at yourself could lead to inner problems. Palin Paranoia a scattered brain thought that everyone likes me and confront them when they don't but walk away feeling like they do after speaking to them...hey I coined it but you can use it...
