By the way, here's some history for you. The Democrats were the party in favor of slavery. The Republican party was created to oppose slavery and was led by Lincoln. Once Lincoln won election the Democrats began to succeed from the Union because the feared the Republicans would end slavery. The Democrats fought a war to prevent the Republicans from ending slavery. Even after the war was lost the Democrats in the South refused to accept the result of Lincoln's emancipation of the slaves and they created the KKK to continue to discriminate against the Blacks which they did for over 100 years after they lost the war.
