Sarah Palin’s recent media appearances -- her TV show, her daughter’s Dancing With the Stars run, and her new book tour -- have whipped perennially high media interest in Palin to a froth. That all provides a pretty pleasant position for the former Alaska governor to be sitting in the week that her new book hits stores at the opening of the holiday shopping season. But, as always, the spotlight – and her recent spate of slaps at her critics – has its pitfalls for Palin.
Combine the extra publicity (including today’s new developments in the back and forth between Palin and the ‘blue blood’ Bush family, as she described it) with a pre-holiday week that’s notorious for its political news blackout, and an unintentional-but-fairly-glaring geopolitical tongue twister garners national headlines.
That’s what happened in a radio interview with Glenn Beck Wednesday, when Palin briefly mixed up North and South Korea in discussing the boiling tensions in the region.
“Obviously we gotta stand with our North Korean allies," she said, after expressing her concern that the White House would fail to react aggressively enough to the situation.
Beck quickly corrected the former Alaska governor, who had previously correctly identified North Korea as the aggressor, and the interview moved along.
The mixup certainly doesn’t help Palin’s efforts (see: her recent tackling of fiscal policy) to be perceived as an informed and serious leader on policy issues as she mulls a possible run at the White House.
That said, had 2012 possibles Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee (who memorably developed a reputation for a hazy understanding of some foreign policy issues back when he was making his first run at the White House) made the same slip, it’s unlikely anyone would have paused from their Turkey Day festivities to notice.

You'd think with her being able to see Russia from her house she'd be able to make out the difference between the two Koreas.
But in all seriousness, who gives a @!$%#? Where's my damn socialist turkey and cranberry spread?
G#@ Da##it, don't start that 'socialist turkey dinner' bovine-turdiosis again over here!
I wonder if she saw the smoke from her backyard.
Let's see, an understandable little slip-up is gonna destroy Palin's credibility. But Obama can tell us we have 58 states and that the military is a corpse, and he gets a free pass. I love the lib media.
well Spidey man - it is vitually impossible to destroy Palins credibility......can't lose what you don't have!
All Liberal's should be very thankful to the right for sending a gift like Palin. She keeps on giving the longer she is in the spotlight. They should also be campaigning for her in 2012, then President Obama would be a shoe in for re-election.
Are you saying North Korea is launching Turkeys and cranberry spread at South Korea?
Pirate- and winging punkin' pies like frisbees.
Jason,
If you saw Obama's most recent figures about getting re-elected I don't think even Palin could screw the pooch on that one. Of course he has a couple more years to make those numbers even worse!
If President Bush can be re-elected anyone has a chance.
"Palin's Korea Mix-up"
Sort of like Obama's: "I'll campaign in all 57 states" comment.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/57states.asp
Nope, if you had actually read what that said, you would know that it is not similar at all. All an objective person has to do is ask themselves this: Do I honestly believe that President Obama is unaware of how many states there are? And then: Do I honestly believe that Palin does not know which is our Korean ally? I don't think it is any partisan leap to realize that Palin is clueless, about Korea, and anything else.
I thought she said that " Oliver North was chucking pumpkins at the liberal media bumpkins who really don't understand what shredding the Constitution was really standing for"
Move along, there's nothing to see here. Obama made plenty of misstatements and it didn't make the news; like his comment about campaigning in all 57 states. MSNBC is so determined to trip up Palin that they will spring at any misstep. But they ignore all of Obama's missteps. Pretty obvious don't you think?
Nice try newday...earlier in the interview she stated that N. Korea was the agressor...she plain old jumbled South and North...now 57 states...not sure how you get that one screwed up...uh maybe the same way that Palin did...I am no Palin fan but seriously dude!
You folks are so stuck on the false belief that the so-called mainstream media is biased toward the left, you didn't even bother reading the full story before you called me a b@stard. Yes, me. I am left-leaning, so your name-calling was aimed at me for my beliefs and I have heard it so often I am starting to take it a little personally. IF you had bothered to read to the end of the article it actually noted that if one of the other repub hopefuls had made the same mistake people probably wouldn't have batted an eye. That's kinda a statement in your favor, don't you think? Would a truly biased, in-the-pocket-of-the-left, conspiracy run media source really want to point out that your little Alaskan darling might be given a different treatment from her male counterparts? Or would they just trash her for making yet another ridiculous statement? Yeah... that's what I thought. Enough with the school yard name calling!! I may disagree with your political views and who you choose to idolize, but do you see me resorting to such childish tactics? No. And you aren't going to, either.
For all the right wing nuts and their 57/58 state obsession... worth the repost!
OH GOODEE! I'm so glad you brought that up... Can I play along too?

Stupid is as stupid does
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GO THERE??? lol
Clueless!
I stand by what I said Dano. The idea that Palin has any clue about foreign policy is so ridiculous that it is plain delusional. But, the "true believers" will find a way to excuse her stupidity. But here is what Palin could do to prove all of us who laugh hysterically when her name and President come up in the same sentence. She can start being interviewed by real journalists, just like Condi Rice did, just like Clinton does, just like the men do. Until she does, she proves herself a coward.
I was wondering when you were going to chime in Feisty! Every politician since the beginning of time has made qoutes that make most people roll their eyes...especially if it is someone you are not politically aligned with. This statement was much ado about nothing! Granted Bush had his overwhelmingly fair share. Even if Will Farrell made up some of the best of them...I particularly liked the term Strategery! Unlike most of you left leaning people on this site we do not become obsessed with Obama's qoutes but rather his lack of political effectiveness!
P.S. Do you have a file of posts that you keep handy to just cut and paste your typical responses?
Palin washed her hands before talking to Beck and lost all her notes.
Dano-86

Other than the 57 states slip of the tongue would you care to elaborate?
Palin is not at qualified for the office she is seeking, but this North Korea slip up is the definition of a non-issue.
Do ANY of you read before you hit submit?
Then you wonder why NO ONE takes you seriously...
Read down a little further... they're really getting warmed up...
Someone remembered to toss in the teleprompter... lmao
Jemma: that was great, thanks for the chuckle! And to Paul who says that this is a non issue. I think it is important for a potential Presidential candidate to know our friends from our enemies...don't you?
One of the biggest drawbacks I've noticed to belonging to 1 of the 2 major parties is that you have to pretend tha half the political jokes out there AREN'T FUNNY.
Jemma,
Now that was funny!
Many of us believe he accidentally left of the words and territories. And I'll cut the gaffe queen some slack; but she only gets this one mulligan,
which is many more than have ever been granted President Obama.

A BUZZFLASH GUEST CONTRIBUTION

For those who still can’t grasp the concept of white privilege, or who are constantly looking for some easy-to-understand examples of it, perhaps this list will help.
White privilege is when you can get pregnant at seventeen like Bristol Palin and everyone is quick to insist that your life and that of your family is a personal matter, and that no one has a right to judge you or your parents, because "every family has challenges," even as black and Latino families with similar "challenges" are regularly typified as irresponsible, pathological and arbiters of social decay.
White privilege is when you can call yourself a "@!$%#in’ redneck," like Bristol Palin’s boyfriend does, and talk about how if anyone messes with you, you'll "kick their @!$%#in' ass," and talk about how you like to "shoot @!$%#" for fun, and still be viewed as a responsible, all-American boy (and a great son-in-law to be) rather than a thug.
White privilege is when you can attend four different colleges in six years like Sarah Palin did (one of which you basically failed out of, then returned to after making up some coursework at a community college), and no one questions your intelligence or commitment to achievement, whereas a person of color who did this would be viewed as unfit for college, and probably someone who only got in in the first place because of affirmative action.
White privilege is when you can claim that being mayor of a town smaller than most medium-sized colleges, and then Governor of a state with about the same number of people as the lower fifth of the island of Manhattan, makes you ready to potentially be president, and people don’t all piss on themselves with laughter, while being a black U.S. Senator, two-term state Senator, and constitutional law scholar, means you’re "untested."
White privilege is being able to say that you support the words "under God" in the pledge of allegiance because "if it was good enough for the founding fathers, it’s good enough for me," and not be immediately disqualified from holding office--since, after all, the pledge was written in the late 1800s and the "under God" part wasn’t added until the 1950s--while believing that reading accused criminals and terrorists their rights (because, ya know, the Constitution, which you used to teach at a prestigious law school requires it), is a dangerous and silly idea only supported by mushy liberals.
White privilege is being able to be a gun enthusiast and not make people immediately scared of you. White privilege is being able to have a husband who was a member of an extremist political party that wants your state to secede from the Union, and whose motto was "Alaska first," and no one questions your patriotism or that of your family, while if you're black and your spouse merely fails to come to a 9/11 memorial so she can be home with her kids on the first day of school, people immediately think she’s being disrespectful.
White privilege is being able to make fun of community organizers and the work they do--like, among other things, fight for the right of women to vote, or for civil rights, or the 8-hour workday, or an end to child labor--and people think you’re being pithy and tough, but if you merely question the experience of a small town mayor and 18-month governor with no foreign policy expertise beyond a class she took in college--you’re somehow being mean, or even sexist.
White privilege is being able to convince white women who don’t even agree with you on any substantive issue to vote for you and your running mate anyway, because all of a sudden your presence on the ticket has inspired confidence in these same white women, and made them give your party a "second look."
White privilege is being able to fire people who didn’t support your political campaigns and not be accused of abusing your power or being a typical politician who engages in favoritism, while being black and merely knowing some folks from the old-line political machines in Chicago means you must be corrupt.
White privilege is being able to attend churches over the years whose pastors say that people who voted for John Kerry or merely criticize George W. Bush are going to hell, and that the U.S. is an explicitly Christian nation and the job of Christians is to bring Christian theological principles into government, and who bring in speakers who say the conflict in the Middle East is God’s punishment on Jews for rejecting Jesus, and everyone can still think you’re just a good church-going Christian, but if you’re black and friends with a black pastor who has noted (as have Colin Powell and the U.S. Department of Defense) that terrorist attacks are often the result of U.S. foreign policy and who talks about the history of racism and its effect on black people, you’re an extremist who probably hates America.
White privilege is not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is when asked by a reporter, and then people get angry at the reporter for asking you such a "trick question," while being black and merely refusing to give one-word answers to the queries of Bill O’Reilly means you’re dodging the question, or trying to seem overly intellectual and nuanced.
White privilege is being able to claim your experience as a POW has anything at all to do with your fitness for president, while being black and experiencing racism is, as Sarah Palin has referred to it, a "light" burden.
And finally, white privilege is the only thing that could possibly allow someone to become president when he has voted with George W. Bush 90 percent of the time, even as unemployment is skyrocketing, people are losing their homes, inflation is rising, and the U.S. is increasingly isolated from world opinion, just because white voters aren’t sure about that whole "change" thing. Ya know, it’s just too vague and ill-defined, unlike, say, four more years of the same, which is very concrete and certain.
White privilege is, in short, the problem.

Feisty,
I am trying to figure out what your point is by putting my statement on your response...anything??? That's right I forgot you never make any factual points but rather make snarky remarks and never post good and valid reasons for your argument.
Wow.
Simply, wow.
Dano are you really THAT dense?
You made the claim:
Sorry if your not bright enough to figure it out on your own...
All I had to do was scroll through the first 10 or so posts to prove you WRONG!
Kinda shoots your theory to sh!t now don't it?
The righties are so FIXATED on 57 states their foaming at their mouths...
Hey, Feisty: do you suppose that IR is setting things up at the Dew Drop Inn? Seems like we ought to toast the holiday, don't you think?
I merely pointed to the fact that Obama made the same mistake as Palin. Apparently you are too dense to completely read post 1.14. Read it line by line you will clearly see that I pointed to that fact! Ditto for your question Beverly.
I'll race ya there! ;0)
I think we have a lot of things that we can raise a toast to this Thanksgiving!
First round is on me!
Anyone got a good recipe for some popcorn stuffing? lol
I'll meet you there! Hope the music is playing!
Sorry Dano... no can do... my Dano secret decoder ring is on the fritz... ;0)
Still laughing, Feisty!
Wow! Oh well I guess I was dreaming for you to actually fact check!.
Happy Thanksgiving anyway! May all of your friends and family have a happy healthy time off!
You too, Dano!
Spidey/leiya/flyp
tell me - as we begin the 2012 cycle do you think you baggers and conservatives can come up with some 'New Talking Points"?
are you going to continue to hang on to 57/58 states? keep working the "teleprompter"? drain some more mileage out of the "brith certificate"? hang on to "corpse"? keep plying "death panels"?
good grief - at least Palin gives "new ammunition" everyday..
can't you all get together and call Tea Bag Central for something new?
Hey Greek Prince
How could msnbc be so determined to "trip up Palin" when she won't give them an interview?
Seems this time she got tripped up by Beck - what will happen to her if she can't get straight with her own Posse?
btw - if you havn't heard all of Obamas missteps - guess you havn't watched FOX News or listened to any conservative radio....
and lastly - baaaaawaaaaa! -
hey Feisty Redhead: Thanks for the Bush quotes post. It was rather comical. Doesn't make me like or dislike him any more. Just simply shows he has a future in comedy .:-) Happy Thanksgiving All
she doesn't even no north from south up or down and there are dingbats out there that would vote for this idiot?? Must be alot of inbreeding going on that we don't know about- she is a real loser!!
newdayDAWNING10
From the article above:
Reading comprehension?
Sylvan Learning Centers? (They seem to help 4th graders.)
Goddamn, this @!$%# got out of hand quick.
In the spirit of bipartisanship Dano... I'm extending a turkey drumstick! ;0)
Kidding aside same to you & yours...
NDD: Is that some Luther Vandross I hear on the juke box?
I agree with the first post by Dragon that most media on Palin is a waste of BTUs. This article is addressing some real issues, though only these two:
First, about the "blue-blood" Bush's, I watched the Larry King interview and the Bush's superiority (class, intelligence, thoughtfulness) over Palin was obvious. You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl -- no matter how much money the balloon girl celebrity makes.
Second, in a thread yesterday, in which a conservative wing-nut claimed that Harry Reid was embarrassing, I countered by painting the picture of embarrassing: Palin representing our country overseas. (Haunting, I know.)
It is legitimate for Barbara Bush to say Palin should stay in Alaska, and for Arnold Swarcheneggerto make fun of Palin seeing Russia from her porch. Palin is proud of her ignorance, yet thinks she should be taken seriously.
"Free pass"??? The right-wing is STILL blowing the "57 states" flub out of proportion. If you think all that matters is what the "lib media" reports, then why don't we see how many Americans will be more familiar with the "57 states" flub or the "North Korea" flub 2 years from now?
The right is going to have to start coming up with something better than whining about "biased media" every time somebody challenges their candidates. If they can't stand up to the likes of Katie Couric, how are they going to handle being the Leader of the Free World?
Thankfully, the fortunes of candidates like Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell proved that you can't win a general election by only talking to media biased in your favor and--in some cases LITERALLY--running from any press who might ask you a tough question. Hopefully that continues to be true in 2012.
Seriously, would you expect anything differently from this Mama Bear Grizzly, who doesn't know what countries make up the North American Continent?? That just may be the reason why she doesn't know her way home and stay there as well.
I think so Feisty, looks like the party started without us.
Unllike Angle who thinks hispanics look like asians; this palesin,
may think that all koreans north and south are indisguishable ,
perhaps, all look like hispanics for a change and the equator is nowhere near.
If the entire media would leave this half-term half wit alone she may go away.Otherwise she is just a chalkboard screeching, biased pedant.
North Korea being the acknowledged aggressor doesn't mean that in Sarah's mind they couldn't still be our ally. After all, we, and our allies , are allowed to engage in pre-emptive attacks of aggression, if they or we, suspect they could be attacked. It's the Bush Doctrine that she had to go study up on after she botched the answer to that question from "Charley" Charles "gotcha" Gibson.
"Jason-Inthecenter
All Liberal's should be very thankful to the right for sending a gift like Palin."
And all conservatives should be thankful she belongs to them, and acts just like them.
And Obama said" I've been to all 57 states"...........and he still got elected..........now look what we got our selves into......Pat-downs of our private parts, being forced into healthcare that we don't want, didn't ask for....and our enemies being treated with more dignity and rights then citizens...while illegals are allowed to infiltrate our borders and Obama is sueing Az for asking for their papers.( hey lets see your birth cert you imposter)..but I have to get felt up by a gov worker all because I need to get on a plane... and the liberals had a fit cause Bush inacted the Patriot act...I don't get it I really don't????????..I hope someone sticks a big stick up Obamas orfice!!!!!
Yes, beanne, you very clearly don't get very much of anything. False equivalence is the specialty of the stupid, brainwashed, and misinformed.
Palin a Commie?! I KNEW IT!!!!
Well,
since you dont think that palin can make a speaking Mistake. we can't forget Obama talking about his Muslim Faith now can we.. just saying.
We can argue back and forth about Palin and why we love or hate her, but just stop and really think for a minute. What would happen to our country if she ran and won the Presidency? That would be the end of our republic and the end to the world's greatest democracy. My God.
Obama has already done more Damage to this country then any president in history . or then any Future president ever could. The man is the Laughing stock of the world.. and you liberals think Bush was bad.. Obama makes Bush look like a Genius...
Obama made a simple slip in his words. Palin made a simple slip in her words. I really don't buy this ridiculous notion that she doesn't know North Korea from South Korea. I think she's has that much knowledge.
What politician hasn't done something like these two slips of the tongue at least a few times during their careers? Find me even one, I dare you.
I actually can't wait to see the Presidential debates with Palin vs. Obama. He will make her look like a brain damaged fool even more so than he did to McCain.
@spider-737231:
"Let's see, an understandable little slip-up is gonna destroy Palin's credibility. But Obama can tell us we have 58 states and that the military is a corpse, and he gets a free pass. I love the lib media."
How many "little slip-ups" are you going to allow this woman?
Obama's prayer he prayed for the past 20 years is Coming true and he is the one making it all happen...."God Dam America- God Dam America"...Yes God has finally Dammed us with an idiot of a President that has proven all he can do is read from a tela-prompter and play golf and insult the American people and insult our fallen hero's and play more golf and vacation and party and show up on commedy central and pose on Rolling Stones and play more golf............And his wifey is sooooo proud for the first time in her adult life...ahhh now isn't that just peachy!
Steve-505729, seriously? Aside from all the baseless hyperbole, do you have anything else to prove here besides your hate for the president? We all understand that and, from the context, I think you may have some problems with his heritage, if you know what I mean (and I think you do).
Also, I'm not sure which world you live in, but it appears most of the world thinks more of our current president than his predecessor, but you just keep deluding yourself.
Spidey is gone with the dogma, it is not a liberal media she makes this stuff up on her own. Why can't people think clearly and on their own. Go ahead vote for her we have Palin and Iran has their nut.
Beane, how about you just grow up, OK? How do you know what Obama, or anybody else for that matter, prays? What person that does enormous amounts of public speaking doesn't use a teleprompter or something similar? Can you compare the number of days Bush spent on vacation with the number Obama has? How do you feel about Boehner, who golfs far more than Obama (and why the fixation with golf...)? Pose on Rolling "Stones" (I assume you are referring to the magazine Rolling Stone). Sorry if you are bothered that he appeared on Comedy Central...what show would you like to see him on so he can clear it with you? We all understand you hate the president and his wife, but why not just say that and quit with the silly rhetoric?
You know leftwing Nut Job. I hate Racist like you . I am not white but i do understand thats all that you have to use. Because God forbid anyone hate the mans policys,
but hey you continue to drink whatever koolaide the Incompetant in the white house Serves you. I dont really Care. OK. Thanks Racist..
For the hundredth time at least you belly-button gazing, mouth-breathing, Righties...obsessed w/ the obfuscation of 'slight of hand': Obama was making a campaign JOKE!!! He had gone on such a whirlwind tour of the USA that it 'felt like' 57 states.
The man is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Harvard Law School w/ a degree in US Constitutional Law and can recount more minutiae on states, capitals, laws, and amendments in his sleep than Syrup Ailin' could w/ the damn Constitution and a map of America in front of her!
Did you forget when he visited the Repunklickin' chamber and schooled those nincompoops in their own backyard sans teleprompter.
Give it up already; just because you're a moron (and didn't get the joke) doesn't mean everyone is a moron- get it?
Learn to spell, huh? I'm a racist? Good call...I am white, so I must be a racist, but you are NOT white so you cannot be a racist...got it. Can you tell me what Obama's policies are, because it sure doesn't sound like you have a clue. And, since you were "just saying", offer some of those quotes from Obama talking about his "Muslim Faith". Are you referring to his heritage? Interesting.
Can't you just IMAGINE Sarah Palin as President?
"Let's bomb South Korea and send weapons to North Korea. Wait! Which is which? Would someone remind me which ones are the good guys gain? Gosh DARN IT! This is SO confusing! Glenn? Where are you? I need help again! You sure BETCHA!"
Here you go Racist..... you should just shut your mouth. Obama was talking about his Muslim Faith. as you can see the George Steonallofus had to correct him. now loser.. I guess if Sarah Palin had a mistatement and its used to say Oh. she meant what she said.. Then i guess we can use the same Logic and say Obama meant what he said.. RACIST
Scott.
You are wrong. Obama claimed he had been to 57 states. Said he still had One more to go to and there was 2 that his staff wouldn't Let him visit.. Nice try ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws and for the Racist Leftwingnutjob since it didn post on the post above..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQqIpdBOg6I
Steve wouldn't be able to, Sean, the words you used are probably foreign to him.
LOL!
This reminds me of Obama's interview with George Stephanopolis when he said people were questioning his "muslim faith" and had to quickly be corrected by George:
"You mean your 'Christian' faith?"
"Uh... yeah, my Christian Faith."
And let's not forget how he visited all "57 states" during his campaign. lol
Too funny
Sean.
none.. i dont care one way or the other I believe his is Christian. but, unlike you i dont hold it against people when they misspeak,, like you and the rest of the liberals do when Sarah palin misspeaks....
But when its the Incompetant that now Occupies the White house that does it seems like you liberals come to his defence.. My examples are clearly used to show that OBAMA has done it on many Occassions and you liberals give him a pass
My personal opinion is that W had been too generous, and given the job of teleprompter Operator to a Democrat.
As for Palin's reference to the North being our ally, since she had said the correct thing earlier, obviously it was a minor thing, and she knows which side we are on. Being from Alaska, I can imagine how "North" just feels like the right side - at a very gut level. Nothing to do with Korea.
That being said, I too believe that Palin running for president would be a very good thing for Democrats. She chased off independant voters last time, and that was just in the VP seat. The GOP needs to find a better, more moderate candidate. Someone that can win back moderate voters. Or, the GOP needs to keep the unemployement rate above 8%. That would work too... might be easier to accomplish, given the lack of a moderate voice on that side these days.
Dennis,
Not sure if you heard this but the Economic news for the next 5 years is bleak with the Govts own reports keeping the Unemployment at 8,5 or above for at least 4 years.. Obama has done more then enough to keep his chances of being elected again at zero. At this point a Oyster could beat him
An ostrage has more brain power than anyone with the last name of Palin, or anyone who supports her and her Glamazon Tribe. She couldn't even manage Alaska for 1/2 a term and wants to rule the nation. Just say no to the media hoe!
ignet
LOL!
This reminds me of Obama's interview with George Stephanopolis when he said people were questioning his "muslim faith" and had to quickly be corrected by George:
"You mean your 'Christian' faith?"
"Uh... yeah, my Christian Faith."
So what if the President is a Muslim which he's not!!!
And let's not forget how he visited all "57 states" during his campaign. lol
Too funny
This is even funnier; ignet...
In the days leading up to an interview with ABC News’ Charlie Gibson, aides were worried with Ms. Palin’s grasp of facts. She couldn’t explain why North and South Korea were separate nations and she did not know what the Federal Reserve did. She also said she believed Saddam Hussein attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001.

Also...
Sarah Palin delivered her first major international speech while in China-- One senior fund manager told The Times that the 80-minute lecture, and the lack of an opportunity to fire any questions at Ms Palin, was a disappointment. “You would think that with her team of speechwriters and a supposedly media-free environment Palin could have afforded to be either funny or thought-provoking, but she was neither,” she said.
http://animalnewyork.com/2009/09/what-did-sarah-palin-say-in-china-to-make-people-walk-out-during-her-speech/
And there’s more..
Oh but the speech, you know, blah blah something about Main St., and how Palin is unhappy with absolutely everything about American government except Ronald Reagan, who is LITERALLY dead. And head’s up, Palin has decided that what China really needs is a “mechanism” for dealing with the Uighurs. It is not immediately clear from contextual clues that Palin knows what a Uighur is (was?), but what’s crucial is that she definitely thinks it (they?) need (needed to?) be dealt with, somehow
Personally, I’ve always been really interested in the ideas, too, about the land bridge. Ideas that maybe so long ago, had allowed Alaska to be physically connected to this part of our world so many years ago.” Indeed, the land bridge from Alaska to Hong Kong. This is a geological thing she thinks about constantly. Why did Jesus destroy this friendly friendship bridge with the Oriental bankers?
The Wall Street Journal reviewed a recording of the event.” And published excerpts! but, later removed them.

Sarah’s ‘Palintology defined…
The Bering land bridge was a land bridge roughly 1,000 miles (1,600 km) north to south at its greatest extent, which joined present-day Alaska and eastern Siberia at various times during the Pleistocene ice ages (the Pleistocene (pronounced /ˈplaɪstəsiːn/) is the epoch from 2.588 million to 12,000 years BC covering the world's recent period of repeated glaciations). It was not glaciated because snowfall was extremely light due to the southwesterly winds from the Pacific Ocean having lost their moisture over the fully glaciated Alaska Rangeice ages. Ohhh lawdy, Sista girl is admitting climate change; I think!!!
Beringia Land Bridge Map
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Berengia_-_deglaciation_period.gif
In other words there is no bridge.
Sarah’s Hypocrisy
The Uighurs (pronounced WEE-gerz) are a Turkic-speaking Muslim group who number about nine million in Xinjiang, a vast, restive desert region of Western China. Many Uighurs resent rule by the Han Chinese, and Chinese security forces have tried to keep oil-rich Xinjiang under tight control since the 1990s, when cities there were struck by waves of protests, riots and bombings.
In the summer of 2008, attacks on security forces took place in several cities in Xinjiang; the Chinese government blamed separatist groups.

Not only is Sista girl culturally, geographically and many other important issues; amongst other things deficient. Sarah, she is a liar, an ingrate, and big time Hypocrite. She can advocate Muslim causes in a foreign land. Yet, here at home she fans the flames of religious bigotry and fear.
In all fairness to Palin, she has no idea which way North and South are, or who is allied with the USA. Golly Gee Willickers America wake up, and I don't mean Central America either, we need to deport them South back to Mexico!
I am amazed that you folks can still be gunning for a first rate citizen such as Sarah Palin. A light slip of the tongue and you are all over her. As a news network, have yuou ever had to print a retraction for an inadverant error? Give Sarah a break and accept her for what she is; a great American.
What was the topic again?
Said it before, will say it again, palin does not have the brains to be president of this country. If she runs and Americans vote her in then we would be responsible for putting a bumbling idiot in the White House. Imagine how we would be the laughing stock of the World.
I thought a hunter needed to at least know directions such as North, South and all. A compass maybe, a little bit of knowledge of maps. Hmmm, maybe her hunting trips are nothing more than foto ops?
I am actually surprised Beck corrected her. A reprobate interviewing a bimbo, now that is a circle jerk!
Obama said, "We have visited FIFTY-SEVEN STATES SO FAR... with only ONE MORE left to go!"
But that was OK ?
How many Americans NEVER hear of or MENTION that?
I could care less what "some former governor" says about "Foreign Affairs or Geography"...
Americans are VERY WORRIED about that MARXIST MORON in the White House, while the entire world is LAUGHING at him.
Few people or politicians around the world know who Palin is, but they ALL KNOW who Obama is and he has become the "JOKE of the world!"
Now THAT is embarrassing!
What is embarrassing and a JOKE is you taking your right wing fantasies and projecting them on the whole world.
There are slip of tongues and there are idiots who write on their palms to remember supposedly basic beliefs, spend 6 years going to five colleges, apparently dont know Africa is a continent, keep getting in personal and small fights with their mother in law, brother in law, grandson father in law and all sorts of low life trash squabbles, don't know anything, quit half way for a job and then seek another.
Now THAT is embarrassing!
"That’s what happened in a radio interview with Glenn Beck Wednesday, when Palin briefly mixed up North and South Korea in discussing the boiling tensions in the region."
I wonder why we didn't see any big stories about Obama claiming that we had 57 States? If I recall, he didn't correct his 'brief mix up". In fact, he even repeated it again later. Of course, the media dismissed it as 'fatigue'.
Obviously, PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome) is alive and well in the biased media.
Actually President Obama stated he had visited 57 states at the time.
Obama was just tired and couldn't read his teleprompter, so he tried to adlib. Bet he won't try that again. Sarah palin had six radio interviews and one tv interview that day, so One slipup is very understandable. She is not the President (yet), so what she says doesn't carry the same weight as Whatever Barrack says. This is really non-news at it's finest. Mayor Daley of Chicago, the first Mayor Daley. He would slip up all the time, but the people understood what he was trying to say, and they just loved him. Just as we just love our Sarah. You Betcha.
57 STOPS in 48 States. When did he ever repeat the "mistake"? I am calling BULLSH!T on that claim.
Jemma, is it left Korea or right Korea, which ones are okay?
HOW DARE the lamestream media ask Sarah Palin questions about current events in the Korean Penninsula! They've got some nerve!
...what was that? Glenn Beck asked the questions?
Oh...never mind.
That gotcha media back at work. LOL!
At least Glenn Beck knew enough to correct her! He's not always good with his facts, either!!
Don't worry. He corrected her, too. So all is well in Mooseland.
And she thinks she could be President, who would she pick for Vice President? Can you picture Palin and Christine O'Donnell ? Palin is one nut job!
Ms. Sarah isn't intelligent enough to be a nut job. She's just an example of white trash, who dragged and exploited her family for "fame". She "used" her baby's syndrome to elevate her in the polls when she ran against Obama. She is married to a redneck, who advocated seceding from the Union...her son was given the choice of going to prison on drug charges or joining the service. Her daughter's "baby's daddy" is a half-wit who wants his name in lights and the money that goes with it. How did it happen that in America, the real BEVERLY HILLBILLIES' WANT TO TRY FOR THE WHITE HOUSE?
ikie,
You are just an example of what Mrs Obama is soooooooo proud of for the first time in her adult life......
Can you please explain that response, beanne?
Greek Prince,
You must get your misquoted facts from the Bimbo. I bet you don't know what Continent you live on, anymore than Sarqa does. Get a quick reality check, whoever you think you are! Allowing for more ignorance is not what is needed to get our Country out of this terrible mess started by Bush and Chaney with their War in Iraq for WMDs.
Provided you followed the news, I'd hardly call the recent election the tsunami slaughter (proclaimed by you and your conservatives), since they didn't win the Senate. Even Alaska choose a write- in candidate ( for the first time in 50 years) for Senator, which was different from the one Palin backed.
At least now there is a better balance in D.C., provided the Party of "NO" can see their way through for once to try working together for the best of their Constituents and not their self-centered, self-serving Party philosophy accompanied with greed.
Dang that Glenn Beck with his Gotcha questions.
Elderly Vet Arrested for Allegedly Threatening to Kill Obama. A 78-year-old Navy veteran and retired New York Police Department cop has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill President "for what he has done to this country." Bowden, who is white, said… "he was thinking of traveling to Washington, D.C., to shoot the president because he was not doing enough to help African-Americans,"according to an affidavit filed in the case. He also said he wanted to kill himself.

It's this kind of misleading and hateful rhetoric emanating from Tea Party Queen, Sarah Palin, and the right which sets off the nuts. How many more nuts are there lurking around?
This country does not need a Sarah Palin to lead it.
SPOT ON Beverly! Thanks for posting this to remind these right wing nitwits...
All this hate talk is not for naught!
Hate SPEECH has consequences an God help those who are perpetuating it if something should happen to President Obama!
Now Feisty,
What could possibly happen to Obama??? Sure, there are nuts on both sides of the mainstream, but I think our Secret Service have security pretty well down pat. The real danger is when he goes abroad. there are people in other countries that aren't afraid to die at all. As long as they have a shot at their target. Now that's scary.
Fiesty old spice, thank goodness we have you, the queen of civility on the vine to show us the way!
Please folks dont pile on. There are so many trash-baggers that truly believe in Palin and will vote her or anything she recommends (including even O'Donnell that Rove pointed out could not be elected dog catcher). Many will follow this woman over a cliff
We cant allow them to see the light until they have nominated her. Help them make the mistake of nominating her. And if you are in a swing state with party line voting, please register Rep early.
Judging from this month, this is one way we can stop our more challenged country folks from returning power to policies that crashed our country and economy collectively in 2008 after 8 years of Republican control, massive tax cuts, spending with no attempt to pay for it, and endless expensive wars.
The only way I see that being my problem is if she were to actually win.
Now that will not happen. The WHOLE country will come out to vote in 2012 not the more rabid, self assured even though they are wrong, ill-informed right wingers.
Even with the typically skewed electorate in this off election year, the not-able-to-be-dog-catcher and the-war-we-are-in-is-exactly-what-we-are-in candidates could not overcome reason in the American people.
If it does happen, then I guess we wont be the greatest country that we thought we were. We would have already been done before we vote any of that group as President. Granted we did horribly twice in 2000 (arguably) and in 2004.
Mums the word. Romney will be so sweet to her that he'll look just as stupid. And if he isn't sweet, he'll look mean. Oops, I probably said too much...
Ignorant people will follow ignorant people. The rightwing Teabaggers are living in denial. There are 11 potential rightwingers more qualified to run for President of the Repug party of No. None of them support her and don't want the imp on their ticket.
"Mums the word"
LOL!!!!!! That is so so funny.
As Sarah led the throngs to thee edge of the cliffs she looked back one more time to see how many there were, & to her surprise she saw another mass gathering behind a man leading them to another cliff. It was a dear friend of hers John McCain with staff in hand.
Palin's Korea mixup?
So what's the story.
What's more ignorant?
A simple tongue-slip, or 400 comments from people who cannot even read a simple article obsessing and ridiculing about something that didn't happen?
The biggest problem for the Republicans in 2012, is trying to keep Palin from running. McConnell as much as said so.
Under the Bush Doctrine, our allies are allowed to be the aggressors. Sarah's associating the North's aggression and their being, erroneously, our allies is "logical" after Charlie Gibson schooled her on the Bush Doctrine. She is pathetically ignorant.
Judging from BO's actions to date, am surprised he didnt say it instead of Palin.
????
to mitchj. the thing is he didn't say it she did, so!
hey, mitch j: oh, i see, you're too busy watching fox news to make an intelligent comment
C'mon, J. Richter- you didn't see something like this coming up as soon as we started in on Palin (agian)?
Its' the old 'redirect' manuver. You will see it many many times the rest of this thread.
Obama's approval percentage=39%. Looks like all you brillant left-wingers are in the vast minority. Now, do you really think you can win the presidency in 2012? Well do you, punk?
Greek, Sarah Palin is polling even lower at 29% so at least my horse IS still in front of your "pit bull with lipstick"!!
Actually Greek Prince I do think the Dems willwin the Presidency in 2012. Why you ask, because I'm confident in the intelligence of most US voters who will have 2 years to see the Repubs have nothing new to offer as solutions to America's problems.
Ike0716, well we will see, won't we. How did you do on your predictions for the midterm election? The dems (who favor perpetual losers) will nominate Obama and the repubs will run Romney WITH Palin or Huckabee as VP. The repubs will win in a landslide. Obama is over. Hope and change is dead. LOL.
I think this is the part where I make a flagrant comment about assassination becoming a civic service if Palin gets close to the White House in any tangible sense~
Romney has no chance in winner either!
Mitch, Obama is an educated man and yes, he had a slip of the tongue, but Palin is the "proverbial tongue that is tied".
The poll this week showed that if the election was today, Obama would win over Palin 48% to 40%.
I hate to say it, but the more she talks, the lower her number in that poll will go.
Greek Prince, a couple of things... First, what was Bush's approval ratings over his term again? Oh, yeah, and what was the hero Reagan's in his first term? Just wondering...
Also, that last sentence in your previous hope is very telling:
I guess that says it all - conservatives just don't think people should have any hope (that is obvious by what they say and do), and they do not actually want change - they want corruption (re: Tom Delay...yes!) and overspending and tax cuts in a time of war, etc.). Thanks for clarifying.
What Sarah Palin doesn't know and doesn't care to know could fill more books than her ghostwriter has written for her in the last 2 years.
What gets me is many people actually think she wrote the books.
What is even more confusing to me is that she HAS a journalism degree, but hired ghost writers to pen her books. You would think writing would be a passion for her since that is what she majored in. I think she thumbed her nose at all of her first book readers!! Really "Going Rogue" if you look at the definition of the word rogue is definitely something a Christian would not proudly call themselves!!
roguenoun, verb, rogued, ro·guing, adjective
–noun
1. a dishonest, knavish person; scoundrel.
3: a mischievous person : scamp
4: a horse inclined to shirk or misbehave
5: an individual exhibiting a chance and usually inferior biological variation
Or maybe she is admitting that she is inferior biologically to the rest of mankind!!! Maybe she is one of those people with boy/girls parts, or maybe she has a tail.
...a very well worn much handled barbie doll....
"a very well worn, much handled barbie doll." This is the best quote of the year!!!!
Jody,
what gets me is that people actually think Odumbo wrote his 2 books....
"Odumbo" - how very grown up. And who do you think wrote his books? Have you yourself read them? Do you have any idea what is actually in them? I have both, and I have read them - is there anything you need clarified? Are you in denial of Obama's intelligence? That's a little silly, isn't it?
The first book was written in the 80s when the guy was a nobody. Go read something please.
JR - You do realize it's impossible for these idiots to read anything that doesn't include pictures! lol
Can she see North Korea from her home in Alaska?
more memorable quotes from presidential candidates:
"The police acted stupidly"
"We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us"
“And it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion”
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”
these are but a few.
Every quote above is arguably agreeable to at least more than half or nearly half of the country, myself included. Seriously.
But I don't think you will find 1% of the country that want to stand with North Korea.
What a moron. The first quote was not even by a Presidential candidate. And this article was about Palin. It's no other Presidential candidates fault she said it so why bring them into her trash dump.
OH GOODEE! I'm so glad you brought that up... Can I play along too?

Stupid is as stupid does
Right back atcha pal... ;0)
LOL.
You need to see (12) in video. Always brings a tear to the eye its so funny.
sorry Feisty, Bush isint running.
although its probably his fault-right?
Hmm, 1) the police DID act stupidly. Arresting a man trying to enter his own home. Just as the TSA is acting stupidly now. 2) Seems like I remember something like this from George W Bush's second inaugural address. So there is a precedent. 3) Well, not to sure about this one. These klingers were already klinging before they got bitter. 4) and 4, Sean Connery said this in the untouchables. Seemed appropriate then too.
Ah, thanks for the stroll down memory lane Feisty.
Ok, last pile on, promise:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/11/22/palin-wont-waste-time-on-couric/
Makes me think of that billboard saying "Miss me yet?"
I've got to say, I do miss those quotes spoken so often, that you'd think he was a standup comedian. You just can't make up stuff like that!
You know it... a couple of years ago Hallmark put that out in one of those talking cards... couldn't resist picking it up for the hubby....
Although, it did lose some it's punch with 'W's sh!t eatin grin!
Memories... misty water colored memories... ahhh... the way we were! lol
You betcha! Wink! Wink!
feisty, boy you spent a lot of time researching Bush. Where did you get all of these misstatements from? Must have come from some Bush-hater website. Get a life.
Feisty. Those are always a great reminder. I've always wondered why the media seems to be so critical of President Obama's professorial nature. Reading these quote, now I know, rarely does Obama give them such memorable lines.
That said, I am inclined to excuse most mistakes candidates (and presidents) make even though I laugh as much as everyone else. I excuse them because I'm not giving speech after speech, in a different town every few hours and a different state every couple days. Anyone who is reasonable knows that Candidate Obama did not mean to say 57 states but he probably felt as if he'd traveled in that many but it is funny. I excuse Bush for constantly getting his thoughts mixed up but laugh everytime I read or here them. I can cringe at Bush's and Palin's persistent "nucular", I can laugh that Palin had to call then candidate Joe Biden "Joe" because in debate prep (and we heard her say it in stump speeches) she kept calling him O'Biden.
The problem with the Korea mix up is that it wasn't long ago she did the same thing, and before that she was flummixed by the fact there is a North and a South Korea; she had no comprehension, as shown by her remarks at that time, of the Korean War and why there is a North and South Korea--she was stumped by it. That folks is not just a slip up to laugh at and excuse, that is simply lack of knowledge. If she is to be a serious candidate, she'd better stay home and study geography, history and foreign wars; she needs to study the United State's foreign relations past and present.
Greek ????
Thanks for confirming you live under a rock geek princess! lol
The police did ACT stupidly. Police ACT stupid all the time. Obama wasn't a candidate when he said that, he was a sitting President at the time, and he was and is still correct in his assessment.
Police use the "system" of false arrest to "process" you and thereby harass you. They take you in, knowing that they can't make the charge stick, but penalize you for making use of your rights by running you through their time consuming process. Much like the exercising of free speech near Bush rallies was infinged upon by false arrests of people wearing t-shirts that the Bush people didn't like to see.
It is happening now at airports where if you don't want to be groped for five minutes, or irradiated, they will charge you with indecent exposure for stripping down to your underwear to try to speed up the invasive inspection.
Hey Greek Prince, I'm pretty sure those came out of W's mouth.
Ike0716, I don't doubt it. I never said that Bush was a great speaker or intellect. I had rather have a fine republican President who makes a few misstatements than a lying S.O.B. democratic President that is destroying our country. Seems to me the the recent election confirms that belief is shared by much of America. LOL.
We shall see in 2012. Most of America get busy working to build the country instead of a most paranoid portion easily misdirected with hateful appeal portion that shows up at midterms. Everyone knows that the midterms always skews left, right, insecure, older and retired.
The mid-terms went the way they always do. Obama deserved to lose the house. He retained the Senate, and if Harry Reid decides to enforce the rules, you may be in for an enourmous surprise.
Hey, Greek Prince - I'm sorry, I must have missed something - aren't midterms called midterms because they are in between the full elections where the president is voted on? You seem to think Obama lost the election, but he wasn't running.
You would rather have a "fine republican President", huh? Even if he is a liar? Even if he resigns in disgrace? Even if he is sitting while suffering from dementia? Party above all else, right? Who cares if the country goes to hell, as long as your party is in charge, right?
Also, calling the President of the United States an SOB is not only rude, it is childish. If you don't like the man, which is obvious, just run with that instead of resorting to inflammatory rhetoric. It is disrespectful to both the man and his mother.
Greek Prince
I'm calling you on your hyperbolic BS. A FEW misstatements? A FEW?
come on, I actually had a calendar with 365 of the suckers and they had a volume 2 the next year. At that point I resisted; because sadly,...it just wasn't funny anymore. I will give you this much, however, "W" was frickin' ELOQUENT in comparison to the half termer from Alaska. And I mean THAT sincerely.
See what happens when she doesn't have the foresight to scribble her national security notes on her hand!
That'll teach her... lol
Feisty- would you please respond to Bob Hall, so we can collapse........YOU?
See what happens Buzz when you ask nice? ;0)
Ummm Bob....
I tried to decipher your rant and SUPRISE was unsuccesfull! Having said that... in case you weren't aware I'm a BLEEDING heart LIBERAL!
And worked my ass of to get OUR President elected....
*Take a deep breath there dude*
????
Bob, last I checked FOX only allows right wing talkers, liberals are not allowed. Greek Prince. Head over to FOX with Bob, they prefer totally disrespectful language and name calling.
I think you get about 500 million hits when you google 'Bushisms'. For you teabaggers, Google is something you do on the internets!
LOL
Thanks for the collapse. The truth hurts doesn't it?
What on earth was that all about Feisty?
You're guess is as good as mine NDD!
Either Bob's already basted or reading comprehension is not his strong suite! lol
Strange all the same.
Hey... maybe just seeing my name sends them into a frenzy these days!
They can't collapse fast enough... ;0)
Hey... maybe just seeing my name sends them into a frenzy these days!
They can't collapse fast enough... ;0)
Or maybe 99% of what you say has no value...
And the other 1% is usually incoherent. lol
Hey Fiesty old spice! You know that butt you worked off? I got a hundred that says it found you again! Anchors away me boys!
Expected.....enough said!!!
OK She can see Russia from Alaska. She is not sure what Africa is and now she thinks President Obama did not react quickly enough to come to support North Korea. How in GOD's name can people want an IDIOT of this magnitude to become President?
Because a large portion of americans are even bigger idiots than she is. Can you say tea party?
If you look up the word loser in the dictionary you will find liberal as an example. LOL losers.
Because a large segment of the electorate believes everything they hear from Glen Beck, Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh.
They continue to believe the President was not born in the United States and that he may have been a poor student at Harvard (presumably Harvard knew 20 years ago he would become President so they graduated him Magna Cum Laude just in case)!
Sadly, many Americans are uneducated and are preyed upon by charlatans like Beck, Palin , et al.
Shelia, we don't have access to Obama's college records and papers for a reason. Could it be that they show he regarded himself as a foreign student from Indonesia and that his papers reveal a radical leftest disposition that many Americans would find to be anti-American. Maybe not. He can resolve these questions by releasing the documents.
Dear Greek Prince: What President has offered up his college records and papers for people like you to examine? Like you would KNOW what a thesis was? The man got into Harvard Law, which probably accepts about 6% of applicants, and for whom you had better have a 168+LSAT and extremely excellent grades from undergrad, as well as a pretty good resume of activities. Why don't YOU apply and see if YOU can get in.
Greek Princess is surely never going to respond to that one. Well said, NewdayDAWNING.
Thanks, Paul!
Why give those two dumb twits any media sapce at all?
''Sarah Palin and President Bush have new books coming out this fall. You know what that means? This could plunge America into a huge crayon shortage.'' —Jay Leno
This woman is clearly not capable of being our President. She also said that Africa was a country, not a continent a few years ago. Come on, folks. She's a good speaker and would make an acceptable talk show host but Commander in Chief??? I don't think so.
Cindy. I was just about to mention Africa "the country" but you beat me to it.
Poor Sarah has at least shown some improvement. Previously she didn't know North and South Korea were separate countries.
Comedians and satirists everywhere should be giving thanks this holiday season for the gift that keeps on giving in Sarah Palin. The material from 4 years in the White House would put every comedians kid through college. (If they can find one after she starts world war 3 with her superb foreign policy know how
Here's the truly sad part: If it were you, or me, or anyone else with any brains at all- and we screwed up and embarassed ourselves this many times, we would eventually realize we'd shot ourselves in the foot one too many times, and give up. Even if WE knew what we meant, we would have to sigh heavily and throw in the towel. But Palin? noooOOOOOooooo. She will turn this into a vendetta against everyone that milks it for a laugh or mentions it at all.
Trust me. Hide and watch.
And before some Palin supporter(s) say "yeah, but we could say the same about Obama"- no, you can't. We ALL make mistakes and speak wrongly from time to time, but not ALL THE DAMNED TIME!
And Drive-by-Observer: When Obama makes a mistake, or misspeaks, he admits it, laughs about it, and corrects himself. Palin (and congregation) simply blame the lame-stream media and the Libs for her screw ups.
Hey Whatever, to paraphrase Robin Williams "Sarah Palin is a self opening pinata. She is a gift" But you know, someone had to replace Bush for political comedians' source material.
Actually Whatever, to most 'thinking' conservatives, Sarah Palin is "the gift that keeps on taking".
I am forever hopeful that someday liberals and conservatives will be able to sit down and actually work out ideas which benefit everyone. Oh well... we can all dream, can't we?
The more she speaks, the more I hope she does run! LMAO
I wonder if she can see North Korea from her backyard as well?
I guess moonbats are the only people who can have a small mix up while speaking? (Obama and 57 states) You guy's, both MSNBC and FOX need to really start reading what you post, this is not news. This is reality, and SH!T happens!
With Sarah in charge of anything sh!t would be happening all the time. This is what we are trying to avoid in the Nuclear age.
Obama meant to say fifty-seven stops, on his campaign tour in 48 states some of which he visited twice. It was a mix-up of two words that begin the same way phonetically while trying to keep straight the numbers of stops and states at the end of a long day. If you truly think that President Obama, having been born, and resided, in the fiftieth state, is unaware that there are only 50 states, then you are an idiot.
If you think Sarah Palin gives a rats as about geopolitics enough to bother keeping North and South Korea separate in her mind, you PROVE yourself to be an idiot.
That woman only cares about her own, and money. She's a crazy, brainwashed end timer. She only cares about Isreal's existence because we can't experience the Rapture if it isn't there to be destroyed. NUTBAG TEAbaggers. GEEZ!
fool?...

Like I said yesterday I am 100% behind Sarah for her 2012 Presidential Bid. She made a verb-age mistake who dosen't? So I will continue to support her until Novenber 2012 and at that point I will change my mind!
Whhooop! There it IS!!
Thank you, Dude.
Maybe the ticket in 2012 can read 'The Maverick & The Rogue'......now, that's a winning ticket!
...oh, sorry, that was tried before! My Bad!
Capt.Smash
Like I said yesterday I am 100% behind Sarah for her 2012 Presidential Bid. She made a verb-age mistake who dosen't? So I will continue to support her until Novenber 2012 and at that point I will change my mind!
Just like she got ...
* the vice president's constitutional role wrong after being asked by a third grader what the vice president does.
*she got punk'ed when a prank caller pretending to be Nicolas Sarkozy asked her to go hunting if she didn't bring along Vice-President Cheney. Sarah said she'd be careful.
* she got her First Amendment rights backwards while suggesting that criticism of her is unconstitutional
*she explained the $700 billion government bailout of Wall Street to Karie Couric, CBS News interview
* she said i'll try to find some and bring 'em back to you when asked by Katie Couric to cite specific examples of how John McCain has pushed for more regulation in his 26 years in the Senate
You go right ahead. Sarah has made too many faux pas
Beverly, thanks for the reminder.
If you are that stupid now. You are going to still be stupid then.
Bob Hall-900721
If you are that stupid now. You are going to still be stupid then.
Sarah is that stupid.
A slip of the tongue........anybody else, it would not even be a story, but it's Palin so lets CRUCIFY her. Burn her at the stake, draw and quarter her. He he, you libs crack me up.
Bet there will be more rants about this than any of the important things on the agenda. I have never seen such a large group of people be so scared of a successful, powerful, beautiful woman........how pathetic.
Isn't the problem here that she said it and not that it's being reported?
Like Butch told Sundance...the fall will probably kill ya!
yeah proud republican like you guys are doing obama, right. such hipocrites
A slip of the tongue is no big deal but when you have a big long string of them dont you think that is an indication of a persons knowledge and proof of their lack of ability.
This is reality time to face it, Palin is no more then a political barbie. If for some unforeseen curse she would win a presidential election we still dont have much to worry about. When the media tears into her for her obvious lack of leadership and all the comical Oppsies she will do she will resign claiming its too hard.
Do we really want someone that quit a political office running the USA?
Either way I for-see much comedy will ensue and Saturday night live will have an endless amount of subject matter to satire.
Mr. Republican, I think you've mistaken fear as pity. We're not afraid of Sarah. We're shocked that so many people can actually listen to her seriously and see her as presidental material. She's just not that smart, so I challenge you to show me how she has shown real critical thinking. I'm not talking about the slander, the complaints, or her opinions (death panels, etc.)
Please assure me that you're not taken in by her because you think she is beautiful, successful and powerful. You see, that is not what makes a president.
Omg, you really have been drinking the Kool-aid if that's what you think the disgust with this woman is all about. Your comments just reflect how out of touch with reality you people on the lunatic fringe really are.
So why doesn't the media tear into Bam Bam...he has an obvious lack of leadership...I don't necessarily back her for President....but if we are comparing apples to apples let's take a look at present mental giant we have holding office.
Scared? Not at all. I laugh at her just like I laugh at David Letterman. I don't think he would make a good president either.
wb52: Isn't it obvious that the media does "tear into" Obama's mistakes. I mean you had to hear about it somewhere didn't you? '
People make mistakes, educated people admit they made a mistake and move on while the uneducated blame someone else for their mistake.
wb52- You are joking right? The media has torn into 'Bam Bam' on both sides for the last two years. Meanwhile, Palin insulates herself from all media outlets except those on the Right and she still can't avoid making ignorant statements- to someone like Glenn Beck of all people!!! Was that 'gotcha' journalism? LOL How many stupid things does woman have to say before Republicans will finally accept this? What do you think is going to happen to her when she actually has to start doing REAL interviews?
Yeah I agree, this is taking time away from more important stuff like Paris, lindsey and Britney
Why are these liberal ass holes so afraid of Palin? I don't get it. I know that liberals are way smarter (so they say) so why are they so afraid of a woman with a funny accent fromWasilla, AK and probably has zero chance of being nominated for the presidency by the Republican party. So, please inform me you libs why you hate Palin so much???
Simple: Stupidity and delusions of grandeur are dangerous. Being stupid and not knowing you ARE stupid is a recipe for disaster. Got it?
Eric0798,
By "lunatic fringe" do you mean the majority that handed your ass to you Nov.2nd?
Greek Prince. Do you use this language only on FR or is that your normal way of speaking?
This liberal does not hate Sarah Palin but I do NOT want someone as incurious and obviously unqualified to be president or for that matter, senator. If completely a full term as Governor was too taxing for her, how would she survive the pressures and criticisms that go with being President She can do her TV and radio shows and have people write her books for her but she isn't smart enough to be president--even republicans who like her personally have said that.
Jody, I have never thought that Palin was qualified to be President of the United States. In fact, I hope she does not run. She is too big of a target and can do more for conservatives by speaking against the liberal/progressive destruction of America. Yes, I am upset at the way liberals cannot carry on a political debate without calling their opponents stupid, ignorant, deluded, etc. The majority of the country considers themselves to be conservative. Most conservatives are just as intelligent, socially minded, freedom loving and dedicated to democracy as any of you that condemn them with childish labels. I am willing to have a reasonable debate without name-calling if you liberals will do the same.
She's got an awfully big tongue!
Proud Republican- No my ass wasn't handed to me by your "lunatic fringe" majority. Factually, Nov. 2 had more to do with, #1 Independents falling for Republicans this time for a variety of reasons and #2 Many moderate Dems staying home. So please spare us and don't equate your support of a classless moron like Palin or your arm chair analysis of Nov. 2, with the majority.
Proud Republican - just wondering why right wingers feel the need to resort to violent imagery to get their point across? Burn at the stake, drawn and quartered, crucify, second amendment remedies, gather your armies, Beck wondering outloud about killing Michael Moore... I could go on, but you know what I am talking about. Really, crucified? Her slip wouldn't be news if she wasn't so quick to jump on others for their brain farts! So she hates "gotcha journalism" while playing the gotcha game herself? She's media whore. She loves the spotlight and the sound of her own voice. Put yourself out there day and night in all media and then critisize the same media for noticing you? I hope she does run for pres. The other GOP candidates will shred her!
She is fun to watch!
ey good ol sarah"thequitter, edithbunker"palin, her and coward beck ey
She probably thinks North korea is right next to North Dakota
Love it.
Sarah Palin is a symbol of American exceptionalism, something the Dems and the Far Left can't seem to
stomach.
The only thing Sarah symbolizes is mediocrity and the Peter Principle.
JuvenBachan
"Sarah Palin is a symbol of American exceptionalism"
How dare you speak so blasphemously about this great nation, you jerk.
Can't argue with that...she is an exceptional twit.
juvenBachan;
Exceptional-ism what is that? Cut the crap, Don't use big words if you do not know the meaning of them.
Tea bag stupid is showing off again!
He is simply being eustrigenous. I made up that word just now, because Shakespeare did it too. So, me and The Bard - we are tied for first.
The concept of "Amercian exceptionalism" is flawed. (Yes doubters, it's a real thing. Look it up, there's books written about it.) By it's nature it's discriminatory and is a viewpoint driven by over-inflated egos. That really doesn't fit with a country that is about equality, opportunity and unity. Exceptionalismcan never be associated with some national idealism because it's principles run counter anything at a true nationwide level. People who use the term do so to separate themselves from everybody else as being superior. Political exceptionalism isn't much different from religious exceptionalism and in fact, so called American exceptionalism and religious exceptionalism are closely tied. Palin may fit this ideology, but it's not what the America is about. It's fine if you want to be that way, but don't try to say that this somehow represents the country that the Constitution defines. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, you've got it backwards. Exceptionalists have no stomach for Democrats or Progressives. By it's nature, exceptionalists have no stomach for anyone but other exceptionalists.
But ideology aside, Palin is exceptional alright! She's one of a kind. (Thankfully!) When I think about exceptionalism and Sarah Palin together, it reminds me of our exceptional children who ride the short bus. They are unique and quite lovable in their own ways, but you wouldn't want one of them to grow up to be President either.
She's exceptional, all right. In all the wrong ways.
ONLY if "American Exceptionalism" means "booger eating moron"!
And Odumbo does not know how to pronounce the word Marine Corps....what a bumbling boob w/o his telaprompter...2 more years of this commie in office, a few more invasive laws on our privacy and Micky Mouse could beat BO in 2012........(if he's not impeached before that)
I am so sick of him invading into my personal life...today I came home on a holiday weekend and got a letter from my company telling me that I have to prove I have other insurance or I will be enrolled in their insurance plan by the 28th of Nov...ok thats Sunday...I get home at 5 pm from working and this is a Holiday weekend so the office is closed.......so now are you telling me cause I have no way to get my info in before the 28th I am going to be forced by Obama to buy an Insurance I not only don't want I don't need.....wait till this happens to those who live in the Hood.........I am sure this is NOT gonna go over to well w/ those folks!...This is what you liberals call an educated man.......This is what I call a Dictator.....funny how he likes Chavez so well he even joked about stopping off to see him on his way home from his last trip.....Dems are nothing but Libs and Libs are nothing but Commies........
You must be joking. Sarah Palin's very existence proves that American exceptionalism is a myth. If she qualifies for exceptional, then I would hate to see what you call unexceptional.
Why do you Republicans celebrate mediocrity or straight-up stupidity? I mean, I would have thought that after W. you would have learned. I thought it couldn't get any worse but you neanderthals never cease to amaze!!! I can't wait to see what clown you will thrust upon us all after this!!! LOL
Beanne- This had nothing to do with healthcare reform, but I am glad your company cares enough about you to insist you have insurance.
Glad they did it because America's Emergency Rooms have enough unemployed, working poor and the freeloaders like yourself who elect not to have health insurance flooding their lobbies.
You make Palin look bright. Commies, really Commies??? Are you wearing an I like Ike button or what??? Why not call people pinkos??? What are you 8 or 80??? Because you are either really stupid or really old.
Either way I am sure you know a great deal about being a dictaster.
I think we are being unfair to her this time. I mean, after all the ribbing we gave her about not keeping notes on her hand, she probably was afraid to post a small map of the Korean Peninsula on her hand for this interview.
I mean, really!
drive-by, have you ever accomplished anything in your pitiful life like Palin has? Have you even had your 15 minutes of fame? You comments would be funny if not so pitiful. Get a life.
Yes, get a life, and don't forget to support Lipstick even if she doesn't know North from South!
BTW, what is that Greek Prince crap, anyway?
What is that Starderup crap? I don't have to explain my handle to you. Do you object to Greeks or is it princes? In any event, get over it.
I just wondered what a Greek Prince would be doing supporting someone that advocates border security. Just saying.
I'll get over it if I want to get over it. Isn't that what your idol represents? Free choice. Personal freedom?
Greek Prince
Greek, the same could very well be said about your comments. What exactly has Palin accomplished? Nothing much, write a book? Every half wit out there writes a book these days. I have done wonderful things in my life and I don't want 15 minutes of fame. I like my life private and feel no need to get approval of strangers.
Please you sit around defending this women all day tell other people to get a life? Look in the mirror.
two words:
"hope and change"
lol
????
Are you referring to this month's positive jobs report, today's unemployment claims, this quarter's 2.5% GDP growth in comparison to -787,000 jobs lost, -6.4% GDP loss on Jan 2009 and $700 billions bailout in 2008? Slowly but surely that is hope and change. It might take time and the weak hearted might type trash and try to turn the policies backwards to what crashed everything after 8 years, but this hope and change is good.
Mis-direct. You will see that attempt many time the rest of this thread. Didn't I warn you?
drive-by, now I know you are a smart liberal. You can predict the future. Did you happen to predict the democratic slaughter in the midterm election? Look into your cristal balls and tell me who the next president will be?
cristal balls!
Ok, Sarah, you can come out now.
Do Greek Princes have cristal balls? LOL at the idiots that come out in Lipstick's defense.
I'm LAUGHING at you.
