Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin speaks to supporters during the Tea Party of America's "Restoring America" event Saturday at the Indianola Balloon Festival Grounds in Indianola, Iowa.
By NBC's Alex Moe and Andrew Rafferty
INDIANOLA, Iowa - At a rain soaked field in the first-in-the-nation caucus state, Sarah Palin delivered a speech in front of a couple thousand supporters that railed not only against President Barack Obama but also criticized the Republican presidential field.
Palin told the crowd at the National Balloon Classic field that the permanent political class and "crony capitalism" of both parties is what has caused this nation's fiscal problems. But she specifically questioned the Republican field of candidates -- asking if their campaign contributions leave them beholden to special interests.
"To be fair some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash and we need to ask them too, ‘What if anything do their donors expect in return for their investments?’" Palin said during the Tea Party of America's "Restoring America" event. "We need to know this because our country can’t afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers."
Right before Sarah Palin's speech at a Tea Party rally in Iowa, her supporters are hoping she'll say she's running for president. NBC's Alex Moe looks at whether she might grant their wish.
After the speech, Palin told NBC News the goal of Saturday's speech was "to lay out a plan that can help restore what is good and right and free about America and to start tackling the crony capitalism that really is ... the foundation of our problems."
On this day three years ago, Palin spoke as the vice presidential nominee to a packed convention center in St. Paul, Minn., at the Republican Convention. Today, she spoke to an enthusiastic Tea Party crowd in a speech that was sporadically interrupted by chants of "Run, Sarah, run."
But unlike three years ago, she pushed back against the Republican establishment, promoting the ideals of the Tea Party movement.
At one point, the former Alaskan governor even made a joke about the emphasis put on national polls:
Sarah Palin takes to the stage before thousands of supporters in Indianola, Iowa, to address Tea Party of America rally.
"Polls," Palin said, "they're for strippers and cross-country skiers."
One big question remained on the minds of those who sat through periods of torrential downpours in the Hawkeye State following the almost 40-minute speech -- Will she herself be a contender in the 2012 race?
"I've admired her ever since she came on the scene," attendee Miki Booth of Wyandotte, Okla., said. "This country is in bad shape and I'd really like to see us go back to the principles of the founding fathers and I think Sarah Palin can lead us back to those ideals."
Palin now heads to New Hampshire for a Tea Party Express rally on Labor Day continuing to fuel speculation that she will soon become a presidential candidate.

Sarah P. Princess dumbass of the Northwoods has spoken!
Shout out to JohnB, DesMoines,IA for the perfect title for her!
So, Silly Sarah continues to tease... in high school, girls like her were called **** teasers!
The horny old white ment just can't get enough of her...
She speaks the truth. Surely you can agree with her on this.
I see you edited your original comment. What an idiot partisan hack you are.
You are one sad puppy.
How could you say she spoke the truth Doug? They didn't even show her speech to the masses on Fox News! Apparently Fox wasn't willing to air her rants on the current republican candidates and here she drew almost as many people as Glenn Beck did in Israel.
Lmao.... poor old Feisty! There has been way too much popcorn and butter spurned this weekend. I was going to expound on some thing not palatable but, I do want to say..... you are an evil woman! And Im sure its difficult to even be near you. God its going to pour here and Im at the ball game..... TIgers need to beat the coff coff whitesox!
Sarah doesn't know what those words mean. She is just parroting lines from someone, and not very well, as usual.
Wow Bob,
Why do you think Fox has to put her speech on? You seem to border on the mentally challenged Bob.
You fit right in with the FR liberal crowd Bob.
Fiesty: We Red heads got to stick together....I notice that most of your criticism is of a personal natural. That's because they have no argument to to your arguments. You are dueling with unarmed opponents.
Say what you will about her, she is one of the few speaking the truth about the banksters and their puppet politicians on both sides of the isle. Of course, Ron Paul has been saying the same thing for years.
Well Doug from your posts you must be working for Fox News Doug. Mindless Doug. Misinformed Doug. Dumb as a sack of hammers Doug.
Sarah just got 20 more toothless rednecks to fantasies about her on a damn stripper pole.Half term Sarah will probley get half way up te pole and realize her tits are still on the floor and have to quit again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like a cat fight between Crusty and Ms. Palin...*hiss*....lmao...and I'm gonna bet my mortgage, left nut, and my savings account that Palin is a lot hotter than the female readers on this board...just a hunch.
I'm guessing all of that *popcorn*hit the hips for the gals here...lol
Lean Forward!
Hopey 'an Changey 2012
Never watch Fox news Bob. But, like I said, you fit right in with the liberals here. You being omniscient and all. In case you don't know Bob, that means all knowing. LOL.
Oh I know what it means Doug. And thank your 5th grade daughter for looking that up for you.
Doug Ponders: Really? Sarah has flip flopped so many times...what "Truth" does she speak...also attacking people who have contrary views to you on personal terms...like "you're dumb or you're stupid or you're a lefty or you're a socialist" without an intellectual argument is just inane. Where are your facts?
Last question...Who does Sarah Palin serve, other than herself. She was perfectly happy to go to Wisconsin and support the Koch brothers candidate in March. Give her a fee, I am sure she will attend.
Sarah knows that 70% of her own party doesn't want her to run. She's not running, she's just fleecing as many more bucko's from her small, but devoted cult, before she is completly dropped by even them. I'd love her to run, she attacks her own, and eats them alive, but I really don't think even she is that stupid.
Well, who'd a thunk! Redhead likes candidates to be beholden to their contributors. Guess she's glad that Obama is bought and paid for by the unions, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and Soros. Interesting indeed!
You must set your computer in your lap and wait for new "news" so you can make the first post. Without a doubt, each one makes you look more ignorant and uninformed than the previous. You are simply a lemming, you would defend the democrats if they started killing babies born alive. You would defend Obama if you knew for sure that Soros owned him because he does. You hang with the union thugs, welfare recipients, and left wing idiots because I suspect you could not make it on your own.
I think that Palin's brain cell just met it's other.
She speaks the truth of crony capitalism. You do understand that, right? It's one of the issues you bedwetting liberals have been whining about. Except when it applies to GE and your messiah.
Disgustingly stupid is my best description for folks who blindly criticize what they don't understand and blindly dream of a man.
...and I'm gonna bet my mortgage, left nut, and my savings account that Palin is a lot hotter than the female readers on this board...
And mmnord numbers is leaning forward, in order to catch up with his hand.
LOL!
Most of the country (except for a few of the mentally challenged) are sick and tired of this old gas bag. She ran out of wind a long time ago. She spouts off just enough to irritate her fellow Republicans and Teapartiers. Damn!! I love it.
Feisty Do you ever read the story and think before you type? Didnt think so!
LOL...That was a good one but I still haven't heard any dissention from my bet....lol
Palin's hot and you know it. Well, hotter than Rachel (scrap the brown hoodie)...lmao
Lean Forward Baby!
Hope & Change '12
She may not be the brightest bulb in the pack but she knows that most if not all the politicians are bought and paid for in this country, and has the balls to say so ..............
It is hard to believe that there are still people in this country that are dumb enough to follow this airheaded wack-just goes to show why this country is in such trouble when there are birdbrains out there that would vote for the wack-gee I got a job for you stuffing envelopes at home and you will make alot of money!! Wake up you dumber than dumb idiots-YEAH, YOU BETCHA!!!
Stroke it, nord.
And, check out the Engal/Maddow 9/11 decade review.
It will leave you limp, and un-gratified, and ashamed.
It never ends. FR is always good for a laugh. Thank the powers that be you people are the minority and probably incapable of reproduction for one reason or another.
Hilarious. don't forget your Obama/Biden 2012 bumper stickers.
Rick, that hardly makes her unique, or smart. Stating the obvious means nothing. IRoT, I wish it was. Tell your governor to go ahead and secede. We'll all be better off for it. If these dumbasses are the best you can offer the country (Bush, Perry) you should just go back to mexico. As for your post, please, Obama and Soros have met once, one time, and evern Soros complains that he has no access to this president. Unlike your Koch party where they beckon and all the little Repubs scoot to see who can get there the fastest. Sarah's time is up, now it's just any little thing she can do to get a headline and a little applause. Massively shallow.
feisty's showing 'Palin Envy' again..... this just in from the White House.... seems they are downplaying the much anticipated 'jobs speech', lol. Are we surprised? Even the President would prefer to watch the Packer/Saint game! Seems to be backtracking, eh?
Rick .. do you count quitting an elected position as governor to make Money on speaking tours ... bought and paid for
you people are the minority and probably incapable of reproduction for one reason or another.
Doug - Your naval gazing pondering is coming up all lint.
"Doug Ponders" sounds like many of the people who troll boards looking for postings about Palin so that they can praise her and use scattershot, middle-school girl critiques of others. One wonders if most of the posts are from Palin's daughters (who do know how to use social media) or just from her hangers-on.
I fail to see what being "hot" has to do with being a political candidate or with being a political pundit. Megan Fox is regarded by many as "hot," but I don't really think I would elect her even as a PTA PR person. Back in the day, Jane Fonda was considered "hot" (okay--this was a long time ago), but I am absolutely sure that her hotness had no positive effect on her attempts at political punditry. She was still a moron.
Palin's looks are fading, thank the lord, and soon even the 60+ -year-old men who "admire" her will have a hard time calling her "hot" with a straight face. I've seen a picture of her without makeup--and it was telling. The woman is a grandmother, her waist is thickening up, her neck is turning turkey, and even the pancake makeup isn't covering up fading looks well. Given that she cannot speak extemporaneously (which is why every question she doesn't have a prepared answer for is a "gotcha" question--even a lame one about what she is reading or what she will "take away" from a particular visit to a historical site), and that other pretty young women are being groomed by the ugly old wealthy white guys who pay her to memorize and deliver speeches, I don't think that even they will be interested in her "services" any more. She will go the way of either Anita Bryant or Amy Semple McPhearson--depending on whether she will be caught in financial or sexual misadventures.
The real question is why it is that the wealthy white guys have decided to parrot their views through moderately attractive, middle-aged, and not terribly bright white women. If the views stood on their own, don't you think that a homely person could get up and say them? Abraham Lincoln wasn't an attractive person--his views and his words stood on their own. If one has to "prettify" them with Sarah Palin--what ugliness and vapidity lurks behind them?
I'm no Palin fan, but I don't know how you can argue with the statement she makes in this article. I wouldn't vote for her (or some of the other GOP candidates), but I think I am objective enough to be able to agree with one statement she makes.
Jim Silver, I am not surprised at all... what else can you expect from the most 'laid back President' in our history. Someone should let him know we are going thru an extended recession/depression because of his socialist policies. Palin should direct her attacks in that direction!
The interesting thing about this article is that Palin is attacking "capitalism" ("crony" thrown in to make it a better headline phrase). Although Palin is a disaster as a leader or government official, she does have a real talent in sniffing out cultural trends that she can capitalize on. (That's why someone who had to go to four colleges to finally graduate in a marshmallow major is rolling in money today. "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." H. L. Mencken)
This might be evidence of a turning point where the incredible power of the corporations might actually be crumbling. I hope so.
LOL Dick. Truth be told, I watched the Rachel/Richard show on MSNBC ALONG with the Shepperd Smith one on Fox last night. I'm wierd that way, you know, watching ALL of the programming, not just what suits my political viewpoint...lol
Anywhosers, in my humble opine, Rachel wanted to make sure her viewers understood what a rotten, evil country we now have after 9/11, talking about ALL of the freedoms we have given up since 2001. Hell she even said as much in her Huff Post interview:
THAT was from the Huff Post.
Now contrast that to Shep Smiths' special on FOX Friday night where the theme was the rebuilding of lower Manhattan, the memories of those lost, and the memorials being constructed to honor them.
Quite the stark difference in my opinion. Watch both and quick being such a hack.
Lean Forward! (gotta love dem libs)
Bean - You nailed this thread.
Not a single comment from the left addressing what Palin actually said.
Sarah is right. I am not fan of hers, but the biggest problem in DC is crony capitalism. Look at Obama and his good buddy GE CEO Immelt. You know, the biggest tax dodger and adviser to Obama?
Both parties are filled with fraud, corruption and payoffs.
Obama and the liberals have transferred more wealth from 2007-2010 than any party in history.
The Republicans are no better - they pander, but play the same game.
The only people who deserve our vote are those wanting to pull back federal power and the size of the federal government. This means mostly new candidates, Tea Party folks, conservative Democrats and conservative Republicans.
As to the childishness started by the Red Head, it's just more typical 3rd grader behavior. I bet she misses it.
I may not be a fan of Palin, however she gets some respect from me. Maybe she can start a new trend of free market instead of insiders for insiders.
The Blame Game! What a Joke!
Liberal vs. Conservative, Conservative vs. Liberal you must pick a side!
LMAO!!!!! Have you ever seen ANY woman that looked good without makeup?!?!...lol....good argument.
And you have just pointed out the HUGE difference between you and I; I do not choose a candidate and then "parrot" their views. I have a complete understanding along with conviction of my views and then find a candidate that reflects them.
Don't be a sheep man.
Hope & Change '12 ......lol
Doug
You do understand that Sarah herself is just another puppet of crony capitalism, don't you?
She has her corporate backers and sponsors using her as their media tool to spread their agenda. She has pulled favors for corporate backers against the interest of the General Public on more than one occasion during the course of her political career. Just like any other politician. If you don't see that after a very short Google search I don't know what to tell you.
That's the misconception about the Tea Party. That they don't represent corporate interests but "the people". Look, right wing and independent friends. This is probably the least venom I've used talking about them. I'm trying to get you to see the other side. Go look at their backers, and what they do for money, and what political influence can do for their billions. Then come back and tell me truthfully they're not bought and paid for. Factually you cannot do so.
Yes I know the Democrats have strings being pulled too. I'm disappointed Obama's original vision has been distorted and derailed by Washington. Sometimes I'm disappointed he makes totally contrary deals just to bargain. I'm disappointed we're still entrenched in Bush's godforsaken never ending wars. And many other issues. But that's politics. They are influenced by big money, which is gaming the system on all sides. Yes even (especially) when it comes to the Tea Party. The whole independent demeanor they sell you on it with is just a charade.
As usual, Feisty ruins post number 1 by posting something worthy of being collapsed or deleted. Typical.... I guess she must be really jealous of Palin, she has so much more going for her than Feisty does.
lmao....that falls under the "no sh!t" category! Of course she's jealous. Chicks get that way very easy.
Lean Forward!
I will never be convinced that Sarah Palin is candidate-worthy on any level. That said, her comment about "crony capitalism" is spot on. No doubt, she was given 3 weeks to learn the term, and it'll take another 3 weeks for her to learn how it would be best defined and applied in these perilous times. She's 2000-late but she is definitely a thorn in the side of the Republican party. For that, I am compelled to say: "BRAVO!"
bean@home.....hilarious stuff. Stupid....but hilarious. Again, another know-it-all know nothing who pontificates about the color of their sh!t as if it's a minor miracle. Get me? Equating her looks with her politics demonstrate what a shallow thinking idiot you are. If one were a person who paid attention they would be making the case that Obama now agrees with Palin. But only if one paid attention. That disqualifies most of the FR'ers.
Please, Dangerous mind, do elaborate. And be specific, not the general bs accusations you followed up this statement with.
sarah! looks like your party is selling out to the corporate overlords time and time again! quick! accuse both sides of doing it!
Feisty and Dangerous have pretty much said what needs to be said. Here's my question: Who do you think is pulling her strings? No really...she is not coming up with this crap on her own. Who is really telling her what to say and when to say it? Her extemporaneous stuff shows her to be an idiot. She doesn't read just like the idiot Bush. She is not coming up with this @!$%# on her own. Who said to John McCain..."John your running mate will be the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin".? Some part of the republican power structure is pushing this woman. Who? I just don't get it. Is FUX the only thing keeping her out there? WTF?
"...she was given 3 weeks to learn the term..." (asknreceive). LOL! Ain't that the truth? One only has to go to her speech she gave while resigning as governor to know that she really just doesn't belong anywhere near a position of responsibility to the public. In my book, she stands for ALL of the wrong things and is annoyingly inarticulate too. Well, I will acknowledge that she is a fellow mom and wife. I like that. I just abide her lack of knowledge about the bigger world beyond our borders.
like 95% of the blacks did with Obama?
Oldsarge @ 1.4 et al...... perhaps the Palin folks have been perusing my messages (rants) on Newsvine for real... LOL..... The most recent - in answer to another poster= was about the lost opportunity of the Tea Party to be a force for good, equity, positive change etc , and serve a real purpose on its own rather than being a part of the repubs, and which also included reference to nepotism chronism in govt appointments at the state and federal level etc. Also in earlier messages and amoung other things, questioned the media's belief that the candidate who raises the most money wins the office/election, before the masses have even voted...... and about the the strangle hold lobbiests/special interest groups for big biz/the rich have on our elected leaders through their donations... etc.... After all polititians from both sides of the isle take monies from these corporations etc.....
Her speech made me wonder if her intent is to move the tea party or a segment thereof away from being the obnoxious intolerant idiot relative of the republicans and dinos, and instead try to clean up their act, get serious etc and become a real more centrist positioned third party in our country that is neither republican, democratic (or libertarian) instead being 'of the masses, for the good of the masses' party so to speak instead of what we have now where both parties seem to ignore the non big donor i.e. the small pocketbook class for the most part imo. Hmmmm
Note to Ms Palin and other folks/leaders in politics...... as the saying goes..."You are known by the company you keep"...... surround yourself with selfish selfcentered greedy, selfserving, insensitive, fiscally irresponsible, lacking in compassion and honor, power hungry, arrogant ignorant miss-informed canibalisticly capitalistic etc twits and they will make you into the image of themselves and a nasty little ineffectual twat out of you to boot imo......LOL
This Post = Delusionalist Ranting
Or very, very dry humor!
Why doesn't the shill feisty get banned for her constant hate speech? Because she is the community. There is so much prejudice by MSNBC that everyone sees it, yet it keeps going. Here is some news for the minions: Palen isn't running for president. Keep spewing your hate and show how diversity is working so well for you.
Sure, Doug! "She speaks the truth of crony capitalism. You do understand that, right?"
That's absolutely true. She says that, because she has no intention of running for real, so she won't have to grant favors. Everyone that runs for real will end up with people knocking at the door to remind them of the money they got handed. That's why it was a really, really bad idea for the surpreme(ly stupid) court to make it possible for every business to contribute tons of money in the hopes that they will be the next 'crony.'
"Why doesn't the shill feisty get banned for her constant hate speech?"
Yes. She is quite the bag of vomit.
But hesheit is a PAID bag of vomit for newsvile because hesheit always parrots the (communist) party line.
Now we'll see how long MSNBC lets THIS ad hominem post stand.
And how tolerant they are of fair and just, and for that matter, some refreshing truth.
@ Doug Ponders-Give Feisty a break, she is someone that has amounted to nothing in life and has nothing to look forward to but her welfare check and sitting around playing with herself waiting to be the first post on this forum. That and being a hero to her equally loser buddies here.
Give Fiesty a break. On one post she is a paid blogger and the next she is a welfare recipient. One of the other, but don't see how both could be true.
Actually from reading her post neither are true and instead of you giving an argument on how smart Palin is, you attack Fiesty with lies.
How can we expect anything any less from republican tea partiers?
This is a free country and if you don't like what Fiesty post, just don't read them. Isn't the tea party, the party of self responsibility?
If you think you are so smart, just make an intellectual argument of why you are right. Making up lies, just makes you look well, dumb.
Somethimes Fiesty gets a little emotional, but look at what we are against a party who have declared themselves the party of for the rich only and the rest of the country needs to buckle down and suffer so we can give more to the rich.
A party that demands we have all babies and then denies them food and education after they are born and they think they are christian. It seems all the republican christians are more than willing to starve a child to death after it is born, but by no means should a mother abort a child so she doesn't have to watch it starve to death later.
Thanks Americans First!
I don't sweat it - if my pet trolls are busy personally attacking me, at least they're not spreading their tea bagger crap!
You know they can't walk & chew gum at the same time!?!
Mutli-tasking is a skill that's eluded them... ;o)
You make a good point Fiesty. They can't multi-task.
Sometimes, I just get tired of the constant lies. When they are so dumb as to have two totally opposite ways to derogate a single person because they are jealous because you know how to post first a skill they have yet to figure out.
I would tell them, but it more fun to watch them make a fool out of themselves and prove their own stupidity.
Unbelievable that this Feisty Redhead is still here. She should be banned from First Read for good.
Isn't their rules of behavior here??
Ban Feisty? Why? When people even continue to post to her collapsed threads? Sorry if you guy just can't stand her. I have to live with you guys. Blog and let blog.
AnericanFirst said:
You mean like Feisty's Post 1?
Staring a post by saying something inflammatory or deletion-worthy doesn't make for a good thread. Just a busy-body Troll.
Bob-3374873 - Freedom of speech is why Feisty is still here. If that annoys you, so what. Just go climb back under your rock and you feel better after the hangover.
John-3078515 - See answer directly above.
Mad as hell - See answer, 2 above. I wouldn't be to proud of the crowd that agrees with you either. Also you might consider shortening your handle to just MAD, that would be more appropriate.
Joseph E - See answer, 3 above. Is English your native tongue or are you just another example of not paying attention in elementary school. "Isn't their rules of behavior here??" Should read- Aren't there rules of behavior? Just trying to help the uneducated.
willowbrook - Please refute what Feisty said that you consider inflammatory? Its looks very factual to me. Are you one of the old farts so was referring too?
amused.....Referring to Palin as:
Considering all she has accomplished, I'm pretty sure that "dumb ass" is not an accurate description. It is like I've already posted, Feisty is either a troll or jealous. Palin certainly has much more common sense and drive than our current President. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she can currently win a Presidential race as long as we have an obviously Liberal leaning Media, and people like Feisty, who spread hate and lies. I've had misfortune to listen to some of the Liberal shows as of late, and they copy each other in the stupid things they say. A poor way to get ratings. (But then, I hear their ratings are down, a testament to people "wising up" to these shows broadcasting mis-information.)
willowbrook - Princess dumbass sounds about right. Trust me on this, no polling required, no one on the left is jealous of Palin. Astonished by her stupidity but definitely not jealous. She the "quitta from wasilla". She couldn't win the office of dog catcher in Alaska. As for Feisty, she couldn't possibly makeup more lies than the stooges of the right. Not in a million years.
I am a liberal progressive, but I have to ask the following; Why does fiesty redhead get 1st post EVERY single time? Does she know exactly when a story is posted? is she paid?
It just seems too conveinient that the same ppl get 1st post every single time. fiesty is usually the 1st, then quickly followed by her fanbois. Navy, then quick shot is JoAnne, to counter. It just seems like a soap opera, and they ALWAYS have top spot.
Am I the only one that thinks this is all BS? LET the regular ppl talk you partisan hacks.
AirThief:
[Am I the only one that thinks this is all BS?]
No, contrary to what others will tell you, it's not some vast conspiracy perpetrated on you by the "lame stream media"...
[LET the regular ppl talk you partisan hacks.]
Nobody is preventing you from talking, unless you consider the ones collapsing posts.
Talk about returning to the principles of the founding fathers is political fundamentalism masquerading as patriotism. It reflects a lack of imagination, a lack of ideas, and a lack of courage to find new ways to tackle the problems we face today. How can we realistically return to 1776 for answers? Why do we need or want Palin to lead us backward?
Sarah Palin is good at complaining about the state of the nation. What she is not good at is finding and implementing solutions. She completely lacks the intellectual and organizational tools to help this nation progress. She ran away from her gubernatorial duties to cash in her chips, and now she criticizes 'crony capitalism'? She might want to take a closer look in the mirror.
Obama deserves the chance to implement his ideas. It's time we supported him and gave him that chance instead of stubbornly clinging to the failed ideology of the Republican party, and even worse, the wrongheadedness of the billionaire's dupes, the Tea Party.
So Sarah didn't announce her candidacy for president :(Â How sad.
On the bright side she was able to sell a couple thousand "Boobs for Sarah in 20xx (TBD)" t-shirts to the nearly 2,000 people that came from all across the country to hear her.
feisty's showing 'Palin Envy' again and is collapsed..... this just in from the White House.... seems they are downplaying the much anticipated 'jobs speech', lol. Are we surprised? Even the President would prefer to watch the Packer/Saint game! Seems to be backtracking, eh?
Jim Silver, feist once bragged that more people read her collapsed posts than the others!
I am not surprised at all by your information... what else can you expect from the most 'laid back President' in our history. Someone should let him know we are going thru an extended recession/depression because of his socialist policies. Palin should direct her attacks in that direction! I would guess that his handlers Harry Reid and company are also pissed!
Which of his policies, specifically, is Socialistic?
Wish I could have read the comment they slamed you on Sweetheart. Bet it was a fire-eater,just my kind. Just keep firing you will hit the target.
You Palin haters are wasting so much of your time....Why don't you wait until she is in the race??
The one above was for Feisty Red. Fire them up baby. You have always done a good job.
Why? She claims to know exactly how this country should be ran, but what do you bet she gets in the race and as soon as the heat is on her, she will resign.... Too much pressure.
I tend to agree on the "...she gets in the race..." part of your comment Tree. Not so sure on the resignation though. If she can't win she can't resign. She will ignore the heat in the race just like she and her ilk ignore facts. She cannot stand NOT to be in the mix (translate: ANY and all media).
I'd bet she has planned a 3 party/independent spoiler bid from the start. Watch her run, fall and then make speeches about it for four more years for that high dollar income. No pressure there 'cause it's all upside for her. A VP with a mouth and deep pockets like that airbag Trump would be just fool enough to take her up on it.
And who wins out of the 3 way between Perry/ANY GOP ditto head, Palin/Trump and Obama/Biden?
OBAMA/BIDEN 2011 that's who!
Dano
I try not to hate retards
Sarah Palin came very close to dragging McCain's sorry liberal butt across the finish line single-handedly three years ago because McCain was doing everything he could to sabotage his own campaign. Sadly, no one paid attention to the real Obama, so we ended up with the "Destroyer of Jobs" as Rush has tagged him. And he's not through destroying this country yet. His illegal in-your-face back door amnesty will be ramped up once he's figured out that the majority are finally sick and tired of him. He has gone against the will of the American people on every decision he's made so far and there's no evidence to suggest he will do otherwise now. Socialism is bad for America because it never works.
Your analysis sounds pretty sound to me Missy. One thing though. Palin is in this for the money, and the attention. If she has to blow some of her millions for a political run it is really going to cheese her off, so I look forward to her dancing around and annoying us who take politics more seriously. Then she'll do what she does best:
Quit.
I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..
* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re “exotic & different.”
* Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American story.
* If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.
* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.
* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.
* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well-grounded.
* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as aConstitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 2 years in theUnited States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.
* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.
* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.
* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your broken and disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.
* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.
* If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.
* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.
* If you’re husband is nicknamed “First Dude”, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.
OK, much clearer now.
Sister Sarah, what's next on your agenda? You promise to go away after 2012, ya think?
The contrast was very well stated, peace monger 69.
The ONLY thing I've EVER heard her say that makes sense. Overall, she is still an idiot and a loser though, just like the rest of the corporate sponsored unhonorable t-stains. Polarized to the point of stupid.
Nearly 2 1/2 centuries ago our forefathers stepped out on faith and declared this young country a new nation. Among other things it was created with the idea that all men were created equal.. ( I believe that included women also.) One thing they did not have time for was backstabbing, character assasination and the right of every parent to raise their children in a manner that would help them to be useful citizens. (Nothing was mentioned about not loving them if they should happen to stray from their raising.) Their No. 1 priority was God and Country (in that order.) They ate wildlife because it was what they had to eat in the beginning. No one thought it strange if they fed it to their children and no one looked down on them because they came from a small town (most of them were country folks.) The most sought after people were those with OJT not a college education.
Very few politicians today would voluntarily remain in a Vietnames prisoner of war camp because of his men and very, very few men would continue fighting for his country on the political scene like McCain did. Goodness knows we need someone up there that wants our country to continue being a free country.
There's so much more to consider but space is to be considered. The tea party was formed to do what they can to save our country. I've travelled all over the world and believe me its not perfect but its the best thats out there.
Yes, Mrs. Bridge to Nowhere, please lecture us all about cronyism...
Whatever it takes to stay in front of a camera and make more
money. Never seen a politician leave office poor.
Tea Party Argumentative Logic is: Make up what you can as fast as you can depending on how you think it will bolster your argument at the time, despite the last argument you may have had using the same "Logic".
This is one I worded in August, but holds true eternally.
Toasty McGrath
"Yes, Mrs. Bridge to Nowhere, please lecture us all about cronyism..."
She stopped the bridge to nowhere. Where have you been?
"In August 2007, Alaska's Department of Transportation stated that it was "leaning" toward alternative ferry options, citing bridge costs and the reluctance of Governor Palin to pay the state's match to the appropriated federal funds.[28] A month later, in September 2007, Palin formally canceled the project.[29][30][31] Palin stated:
I do enjoy the feisty shill's comments. They are like listening to a broken record. "The wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good, the wrong is good. Might as well say Satan is good since that is what she obviously believes.
Sell out America for welfare to those who don't want to work. That is her goal as an MSNBC shill.
While I feel strongly that all politicians are beholding to mega givers, who is Palin to critique? SarahPac, the cool bus and air travel. No--I don't believe that all that money is comprised of $5 bills in "Jesus Saves" or Confederate postal envelopes from white southern rednecks. While that illiterate moron isn't stumping to be the next pet rock she's on Fox of shooting wildlife for the camera---and money.
Sorry Bob, but she was for it before she was against it.
Those on the wrong side are their own worst enemies. The only message they have is hate. They bring up the racist card at every opportunity and it always fails. Their platform is "fail" personified. They say they want diversity while attacking anyone who doesn't agree with them. They are a self defeating lot.
Nice tits.
Funny, cheeta, that's exactly what I was thinking.

"I like 'em this long"
( That leaves me out....)
I'd bet MANY, in Alaska, could have a nice "tell all" about Sarah's Cronyism.....Ohhhh the stories they could tell! Would make a nice Book?
She cannot speak worth a dam, to remember, she has to write things on her hand(and then remember what she wrote, on it) Paul Revere, well she could rewrite history and make it very interesting.
Anyone, that would even consider voting this women into the most Powerful position in the WORLD, certainly needs their HEAD examined! I honestly think McLame choose her, so he would lose.Do you think he wanted to deal with what Obama has been? Just think if this pair, had been elected and where this country would be, if they had?
Anyone could look good on stage with a $350,000 wardrobe..........
I wonder if she knows WHEN Elvis was born???
shes nothing but a scumbag teabag ho!
Toasty rarely gets her facts right, sometimes she even pretends to be a man if it suits the argument. What she does believe in is socialism. Perhaps a Hugo Chavez relative?
RE: Bob Hall,
"The wicked walk on every side when the vilest men are exalted."
By the logic of the liberals, it was wiser to elect the inexperienced candidate at the top of the ticket than the inexperienced candidate on the bottom of the ticket.
We see where that got us. Y'all "hope" for the kind of "change" we have now? No jobs created last month- none at all- and Obama spends as many words on it in his weekly radio address? I'd have thought it rated a mention.
I guess his new economic plan is to ignore the economy.
You just keep up the vitriol about a person not running for office. It puts your intellect on display like no other issue. Anyone not fully committed to making certain Obama only serves one term who reads these posts will, undoubtedly, use the intelligence of these posts to inform their views of Obama's base of supporters.
Then he wonders why he isn't "cool" anymore.
She still just doesn't get it! She should have invited Ann Coulter to tag along with her useless tent shows! That surely would have ruined it for the GOP and Cons! Keep up the losing work!
How many times do I have to tell you all?
Envy???
Not hardly...
EMBARRASSED?
Definitely!
PS: *waves* to Bob Hall! ;o)
I have three daughters and I use Palin as an example of the kind of woman you do not want to be. She makes it harder for the women who are credible.
I too heard about obama now backing off his jobs speech on Thursday, lol! How long can we afford a President with no backbone? I would take Palin in a debate or fight over BO any day of the week and give odds!
feisty's showing 'Palin Envy' again and is collapsed.....

Who posted it? I'd like to thank them!
It is amazing that Feisty Redhead is still allowed to post here. Doesn't First Read have rules of behavior??

Don't worry, in two or three years each of Sarah's boobs will look like someone placed a golf ball in a sock.
...then we will be hearing all about how the "The Todd" is spending more and more time away from home...
But yeah...bras are wonderful, right?
Dude, when have I ever said I was anything but a man? Calling me names is incredibly childish, Bill. You want to talk the issues now?
Joseph, others have complained about her posts, but are apparently ignored. I think FR is a bit overwhelmed with the traffic and their 'Code of Ethics' have been compromised!
If you notice, feisty frequently is the first poser (poster)on each new thread at FR. She seems to get the threads first, before they are made public... or she just sits in front of her computer waiting to be the first one (woohoo!). Most of us just feel sorry for the old bat, she doesn't seem to have a life outside FR. Maybe that's why she comes off as a very angry and bitter soul.... attacking anyone who has an opinion!
First of all I think Mrs. Palin is a beautiful human being, I say that with honesty.
No sarcasm. She is easy on the eyes.
She has taken the Tea Party from obscurity to elected offices.
For those of us who try to hover around the middle we watched as many Tea Party members were elected as GOP members to Congress.
What I witness from the Tea Party members in Congress last month during the debt limit debacle has made me sure that I will no longer consider the current Tea Party members in Congress anything other than bullies.
That does not mean I consider Mrs. Palin a bully, in fact I consider her a cheerleader for the Tea Party. A very separate and distinct enity.
Mrs. Palin should not run for President this term, the American citizens have not yet recovered from the shock the last Republicans in the oval office administered them.
The American public really had no precedence on which to judge the Tea Party currently elected until the immature show put on by those already now in Congress.
Mrs. Palin should continue her role as the Tea Party “Cheerleader” it servers her well, she should let the GOP pick from their group of unelectable candidates, and stay as far away from that as possible.
The Tea Party is going to need a very good cheerleader in the future as these current members working in Congress have set a bad precedent in the minds of everyone who wants the leaders of the United States to work towards compromise, arrive somewhere near the middle on all issues and lead the country.
Good Luck Mrs. Palin
Wow, Feisty, this doesn't look like it's your day. Just about every comment you've made has been collapsed by the community.
Apparently Palin is getting under your skin more than other people from any side other than the democrats.
Got better things to do than listen to advice from this blowhard.
Humor is where ever you find it and Sarah never lets us down.
To bad she isn’t running for the office, dilution is the solution to pollution.
The usual suspects all collaped. I see that feisty ahd 92 approval rate on first ost, that she nearly always gets. So, there are 92 pan heads that agree with her and her wig. Only 70 million to go.
The hate speech is coming from the left/wrong. They can't stand that their massiah will lose because of his lack of experience. Even MSNBC is seeing the writing on the wall. GE (the company Obama has embraced which also pays no taxes), which owns them, is cutting its loses. Tisk tisk.
Funny news: Palin spoke at a tea nut party rally in Iowa and drew 2,000 A$$HOLES who waited for her in a steady rain for what ???????????????? I would be so happy if l never had to hear her name again. Hope the American people wake up and smell the rotten teabags. Palin is a "NUT"- CRAZY WACKO that -( can't run for dog catcher. )
Ahhh...the GOP/Teabaggers are lovin' them some U.S. Constitution!
~~Don't Tread On Me...Let Me Tread On Thee!~~
Wow, this thread is littered with collapsed libbie trash! Maybe conservatives are getting more active!
What I really want to know, is what Robin (2.38) is talking about! I'd enjoy hearing about redwig getting a little taste of the same crap she gives others who disagree with her wacko statements!
It's good to see that Sarah is learning new, big words such as 'crony'.

Collapsing posts is about the apex of action the Conservatives can manage to pull off. Other than not realize they are supporting President Obama. The Prez has just about given the Cons everything necessary to prevent any actual progress in turning around the ills of this country.
Both Parties are Complicit in the F#%@ing of the United States of America.
Happy Labor Day, Everyone!
Why would Palin even bother to raise this issue?
Everyone at First Read knows that Republicans got more in campaign cash from the corporations in 2008 than President Obama did!
C'mon.
Isn't that right?
It is right...
Right?
Anyone?
Feisty...?
You know they didn't. Obama and the rest of that crowd hope the mindless drones who support them don't know that.
Reallly?
And this RNC rhetorical garbage is ALL you have Ponder?
Pitiful!
Actually, "Rollingstone" magazine had a great article that told exactly what corporations supported which candidates...surprisingly...or not..Obama was the cleanest. The majority of his support came from individual contributions. You might want to check your facts...especially since the Supreme Court decision that allowed corporations to contribute anon. I'd love to see Perry or Romney's list...but we can't.
The Tea Party zealots and other aimlessly roving wanna-be's like the brain dead bimbo from Wasilla, Alaska and the geographically and History challenged Michele Bachmann have become a POX on the Republican party. Like a case of the clap that you would rather that none of your friends know about, and is very difficult to rid yourself of, this disease of the Republican Party will last well beyond 2012. Those infected Republicans may find solace at a Leper Colony in India. That might be far enough away from the constant, droning monotone of flubs, missteps, lies and gaffs that the disease presents. Good luck 'Party of Lincoln.' You'll need it...................(Previously posted by ME and still as relevant!)
Oh Bethany -
RNC spin souters like Ponder, Kirk and a few other tolls on here NEVER allow Facts to get in their way.
For them it is just ONWARD with the story, even when shown that it is a lie. They don't care - too blind to see the truth
Tell it to Goldman Sachs and British Petroleum (BP), Bethany.
They just loved candidate Obama in 2008.
Lots more than they loved Senator McCain.
In terms of money contributed, I mean.
It's historical fact that the money will go (largely) to the candidate with the most horse power to win. Republican or Democrat. The Corporations are just hedging their bets as they always do. You party zealots should know that. McCain (with the Bimbo at his side) was destined to lose. Stevie Wonder could see that coming................
bethany - If I ever have to depend on Rolling Stone as a news source, unplug me, I brain dead.
They have been exposed several times of making up stories, plagiarism, etc.
When were they purchased by Fox News independent?
Inde- From your post's you been un plugged for awhile! Facts or links about RS? LOL
DougPonders: "Drones"? Seems to me that the teabaggers are the lemmings following each other off the cliff. So many people voting against their own interests based on hyperbole. A political scientist, Howard P. Mills, wrote in the '50's that the Industrial elite ruled this country and whether you had a Rep. or a Dem in office, they still held the reins. After the supreme court ruling allowing PAC's nondisclosure, it is even more so.
Please, If you have a comment, support it with fact and reason, not bile.
The majority of his support came from individual contributions
Thanks for putting that out, bethany.
That fact speaks volumes!
Obama 2012!
bethany
Please, enlighten me. What "against my own interest" would I be voting for by not voting for the Big O? Which I will certainly doing.
If you are a person who follows politics and understands the ideals of America then you understand the predicament of having a clown in the executive office, ears and all. If not, then I have given up trying to explain to fools the folly of their ways. It's not my job. That would be the "bile".
Suffer not the fool.
Yeah, right. Individuals who donated the maximum SEVERAL times over by changing one letter in their name- check it out on the Federal Election Committee site- it's obvious to all but the mindless obots.
Obama- a one term President that makes Carter look good!
I know that other's have posted this same question but I will have to ask again, how is it that Feisty is always the first to post on this site?
... actually, Reagan made Carter look good.
IRoT,
Can you supply one example of Rolling Stone having been accused of plagiarism? One substanciated claim of false reporting? Just one?
All I could find was this.
ROLLING STONE WINS 2008 NATIONAL MAGAZINE AWARD FOR COLUMNS AND COMMENTARY
NEW YORK, NY (May 2, 2008) – The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) announced Rolling Stone the winner of the 2008 National Magazine Award for Columns and Commentary last night at the 43rd annual award ceremony. The award is for three columns by contributing editor Matt Taibbi, “Worse Than Bush,” (June 14); “My Favorite Nut Job,” (November 29); “Obama’s Moment,” (December 27). This is the fourteenth Ellie, as the awards are called, presented to Rolling Stone, its first for Columns and Commentary and its fourth such honor in the last three years. In 2007, Rolling Stone won the prestigious General Excellence award. In 2006, the magazine won awards for Reporting and Photo Portfolio/Photo Essay. The National Magazine Awards are the magazine industry’s most prestigious editorial honor.
And this-
NEW YORK — Rolling Stone magazine won one of journalism's most prestigious awards for an article that prompted President Barack Obama to fire his military commander in Afghanistan. The Associated Press also won a 2010 George Polk award for its coverage of the Gulf oil spill, and the Washington Post won for its investigation on the growth of national security agencies.
Well Doug:
"If you are a person who follows politics and understands the ideals of America then you understand the predicament of having a clown in the executive office"
We do understand the predicament of having a clown in the executive office. He was there from 2001-2008.
Well, let's see here. Obama reneged (broke his word, lied) on his pledge to accept public financing. First he said he would and then. voila! He didn't. He is the first president since Watergate to do so. BTW: Public Financing was an attempt to prevent campaign 'shake-down-style' fundraising, something that Obama was in favor of prior to his breaking his promise.
That's a predictable response there Bob.
What say you of the current clown in office? Any criticism? Or is it all Bush's fault?
Should I go ahead and give you the liberal-approved response? Or wait on you?
Maybe so Mixed Bag, but Obama got more $$$ from the Unions than the Republicans got from the Corporations.
This is a very true statment. It has become so obvious how much Obama has rewarded the Unions for their donations. I don't see the same thing with anyone else, but it would be good to know anyway.
So let me get this straight...
Not only is Obama a marxist communist radical trying to destroy the free market on the altar of socialism... He's ALSO a heartless corporate capitalist robber baron trying to crush the working man in a blind orgy of profiteering?
No wonder the country doesn't take the Tea Parties seriously...
If you want a tea party go to England. Cup a tea anyone? the GOP/TP party is a joke and so are their brainwashed idiot followers. one day you`ll wake up to find that your party of the rich no longer needs your dumbasses and has left you by the side of the road. i never thought that there was so many brainwashed idiots in this country that would give that idiot scumbag ho the time of day let alone make that idiot a millionaire. she dosn`t even know what state the american revolution started and you want her to be president you @#@#ing pepole are @#@#ing stipid but i guess you already knew that.
Clever wording is often used to fool liberals, who lack the ability to seek inference.
Campaign finance law extant in 2008 precluded corporations from donating to candidates- the funds cam from corporate PACs, business owners, employees, and their family members in bundles.
That said, Bethany
http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.php?cid=N00009638
You might also check the Politifact site on the ratio of "small" donors and "large" donors to Obama-
75% of his donations were from large donors.
Fortunately, the majority of the electorate is more interested in results than hype. We tried Obamanomics, and the economy is on life support. He is going to give a speech this week- not The Speech, (because focus groups rated it "dud"), just a speech- which will impress no one at all.
So, why did it have to be before a joint session of congress?
Obama is flailing around desperately- but most people, (75%, according to Gallup), know he is clueless. Just goes to show you that a candidate who lacked the experience to be hired as assistant manager at a grocery store should never have been elected president of this country.
Cheer up- I'm pretty sure he'll get a talk show on his favorite network. You all will be able to hear his speeches every night, (rerun on weekends), and the rest of us can recover from this disaster.
What disaster? Our country though slowly is everyday better than what Obama inherited from bush. It would even be better if the republicans weren't obstructing every bill that could create jobs or even have a chance of turning our country around.
The disaster is the republicans deciding that working against America and its people from day 1 of his presidency. Republicans have shown over and over they only care for the rich. Even to the willingness to raise taxes on the working poor and middle class, they don't matter like the rich.
The republicans built this debt with tax cuts we had to borrow money for and then the unthinkable, never done before in American history to start wars without raising taxes to pay for them.
Now that we are here, raising taxes on the richest should be a priority, but no the republicans attack social security as the problem.
Yes there is a disaster and will get a lot worse if we vote for any, I repeat any republican for any office.
For the love of America Obama 2012
Bob1952,
He was a primate.
Rolling Stone magazine may be farther left of Obama (when he's being truthful)! How could anyone quote statistics supporting Obama from that magazine without a smile.... haha! I used to love Rolling Stone Magazine when I was younger, but grew up and saw what was really happening in the world. You libbies make me laugh! Please don't use it again to back up your weak support for this administration!
Funny thing about that - Corporate campaign donations to Republican candidates are down slightly, but corporate campaign donations to "independent Political Action Committees" is waaay up. Those "independent PACs" are supposed to be independent of the candidates, but even a cursory examination reveals they really strongly favor a particular candidate.
The end result is that corporate donations directly to Republican candidates is slightly less than for the Democratic candidate, but corporate donations by PACs favoring Republicans is far greater than for Democrats.
The libbie are all wound up over Palin, who isn't even running for President and I'm sure will remain a cheerleader for the Tea Party rather than be a candidate. What the libbies are overlooking, or in denial of, is that our immediate problem is the current administration, not Palin! But libbies are libbies and by definition will not admit that Obama is the problem. The following is a quote I found on the internet, but can't attribute it to anybody but an unnamed Czech:
Robin, don't expect to get a lot of love for that posting. A liberal admitting they've been suckered won't happen.... it's just not their style to admit they blew it big time!
It was Vaclav Havel, Robin. He, you might remember, was a hero of the Czech resistance, was imprisoned by the Soviets for writing plays that "undermined the date", was elected President, oversaw the peaceful civil "divorce" if you will, of the Czech Republic and the Republic of Slovakia, and has despised Obama since he first met him.
With good reason.
He saw him for what he was- all stuff, no substance. Angela Merkel and Nicholas Sarkozy share his opinion.
Yet, the nimrods who remain in his cult remain fizzed in their opinion that Obama has international fame.
It's more like infamy.. .

Oh Yea Robin it was so great before Obama got here! Lost in you Ire is a prophetic irony, People like myself, Independents, were so over George Bush and the Republicans we would vote for Barack Obama.
Sadder even, people like you would make the same mistake and vote for Bachmann or Palin.
Your a Partisan hack, nothing more, nothing less....
Google Charley Reese and The 545. And then think. Ahhh... Common Sense can be so freeing.
Once again Kevin, Robin is right on. You moonbats refuse to even admit the fact barry hasn't even lived up to the simple promise to close GITMO, a promise you would think anyone could keep but not barry. By the way which term was he planning to bring the troops home his third or forth. Were is unemeployment over nine percent, Feb 1, 2009 – The centerpiece of President Obama's domestic agenda is an $819 billion economic stimulus plan, paid for by the tax payers of this great country. How did that hope and change work out Kevin. Oh yeah and then there is the phucking big deal we who didn't want got shoved down our throats by the botox queen that didn't read it. You know why barry will not be bring the troops home anytime soon, the reason is Kevin they are a majority reservists, most will be unemployed when they come home. Kevin chant with me now, bring home the troops, bring home the troops, you've been in office now almost three years you POS bring home the troops. Instead of talking about our great former President of the United States George W. Bush start talking about what barry has done, you can't he has done absolutely nothing but lie about what he was going to do.
Charley Reese wrote a fantastic article concerning the 545 people responsible for America and its woes. Take off the Partisan Glasses and learn what is so simple to figure out.

yeah, I really want to hear about cronyism capitalism from a woman who is little more than a grifter who has found out she can fleece thousands of suckers, (oops -- I mean, supporters)....
If there is anyone who know something about shearing the sheep, it's Palin --
I hope american voters have enough since to see through Sarah Palin, Serious runners for Predsident does not put on reality shows on TLC. Money is her only concern not enough knowledge to run the country.
That idiot couldn't run a three wheel bicycle. She is just shouting off with her big mouth she can't control.
The message against crony capitalism is good. I only wish I could say the same for the messenger.
Are there no better messengers to tell us that which we already know?
Bob - I have to disagree with you. This woman is quite savvy. She's not presidential material, and I think she knows it. She knows how to make the money, though, and can count on the media for free advertising.
I think of her as a band that is past it, yet continues to rake in big bucks, from its fan base, by playing the same, old songs.
This is the smartest thing I have every heard Palin say. I wonder who told her to say it, and how much they paid her.
Seriously, Mrs. Bridge to Nowhere wants to lecture us mortals on cronyism...
In Alaska she was better known for trying to censor the books in the public library while still mayor. Republicans always think they know what is best for the rest of us.
Just like faux, went to court to win the right to lie. It was determined they had no obligation to tell the truth. Just like Palin more than willing to censor our information in the effort to push their views.
Yeah, Palin comes off as such a moral, conservative, god fearing Christian yet she had her daughter's boyfriend sleeping with her daughter right in her own house. She's nothing but a fake.
I don't know who she got to write that speech for her, but it had a good point (above)
Problem is, if she were to run and (gasp!) get elected, [Bwahahaha...hilarious, I know] she would proceed to pay several trillion dollar thank-you notes to some select few who supported her campaign.
Sarah would change NOTHING in politics, and we would be in worse shape than W led us to....
really? you are as stupid as i think. you seem to know nothing of her past politics yet you spout this bs.
Read a book. Not FR.
Man Ponder - it really gets under your skin when someone posts truth and facts at variance with the standard republican spin and untruths doesn't it. Afraid voters will fail to fall for your talking points and sales pitches and excuses in 2012? Well I don't doubt it - you should be.
Maybe YOU should read AUDACITY OF HOPE
instead of spewing RNC spin and double standards.
Again: DougPonders, but not too deeply. Why do you have to resort to personal attacks? Cause you really do not have an intelligent response! YOU need to read a book. You need to read several books...sometimes on things that do not agree with your ideology! Have you ever read Marx....Not Groucho, Chico or Harpo? A lot that he said is coming true!
On TV during Palin's Iowa showing, her idiot husband came right out and told a supporter "Sarah has a lot of debts to pay off". That's all she is about. Keeps the crap flying around to keep the money coming.
Amusing that the most anti-palin vitriol seems to come from posters with female names. Audacity of Hope? Perhaps you should pay attention to that book, very informative, also his Dreams of My Father. I especially enjoyed where he stated that he actively sought out the radicals and Marxist professors, how he disliked his mother's race and who he looked up to. Nothing says liberal progressive better than his own writings. Nothing says socialist/Marxist better either.
And, I take it, YOU have a problem with "progressive" candidates?
Opposed to them?
Opposed = opposite
opposite of progressive is... REGRESSIVE
Please, please, please in the name of the United States of America DO NOT REGRESS BACK TO 2001!!!
If you have a problem with President Obama, THINK - - -
we, as a nation, can NOT take any more Republican presidents like W.! "Progressive" truly IS better for our country than THAT!
Nothing wrong with liberal/progressive if the best the other side has to offer is tea and economic terrorism.
Yup, nothing like liberal progressivism. Noting that Europe is currently enjoying the fruits of liberal progressivism as we speak. So, once Germany goes broke bailing out the rest of progressively liberal Europe, who will pay for the bail-outs then? Communist China?
Mygirl1: What's wrong with that? When I was a political science student, I wanted to know all sides. I wanted to explore all information. That doesn't make you a radical leftist. Quite the opposite. Knowledge is not bad....Knowledge is good! Sometimes knowing helps you know what you oppose...Like torture! Wow! Sit in a room full of Pinochet torture victims...Torture...never acceptable. "Socialist/Marxist..." do you even know what that means...because they are not the same. You're ignorance is showing...Oh so loud.
And again, you go there with no intellectual argument! You're propaganda is wearing thin! Please give facts and data or at least a reference to your clouded thinking. It it's Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh or anyone on Faux..Opps.. I mean Fox News, At least we know the basis of your knowledge and can combat it.
mygirl1 Do you know this vine is about Palin??? LOL just can't help yourself, turn off the faux noise, it's rotting whats left of your brain!!!! Good post bethany~~~
Bethany, like many leftists (but certainly not all), you appear to be ignorant of what connections between socialism, communism, and how both are part of marxism according to Marx himself
Marx absolutely believed and taught that socialism was the transition to communism from Capitalism. Go to his 1844 “Critical Notes on the Article ‘The King of Prussia and Social Reform,’” his 1874 “Notes on Bakunin’s Book Statehood and Anarchy,” in “The Second Draft, Writings on the Paris Commune”, and of course his Critique of the Gotha Program .
Marx sees the Dictatorship of the Proletariat as the socialist transition to full communism. From Critique of the Gotha Programme
Here's a definition from “New Youth” the marxist website that is appropriate to most Democrats
And from his partner Engels
stupid as I think
It's plain you (like most Palin haters On this blog) know nothing of her politics. If you did you wouldn't have posted your bs.
My, I'm off topic? Let's see here. Bethany brought up the Rolling Stone article on Obama's campaign contributors and then there was mention of Carter and Reagan, but thank you, humminbird, for stating the obvious. Yes, let's get back to bashing Palin, by all means.
Bethany: Do you understand the difference between socialism and Marxism? Do you understand where socialism got it's start? Are you aware that there are several schools of socialism? Have you heard of the European model of socialism? Amusing that you bring up Pinochet. Let's see here, what school of political and social ideology is responsible for the most repressive regimes, the most mass murders and genocides? Collectivism is a hallmark of both socialism and communism, ditto the re-distribution of wealth. Liberal progressivism borrows heavily from Marx and Engels, both shared the concept of the state's primacy over the individual, of the common weal being the supreme goal. The state. The government.
OMG........mygirl1 you need to line up the stars! I dont think you have made one statement I have disagreed with. Careful though the liberals get very vitriolic!
Jolly: Careful back, I think that the Palin bashers aren't used to having rebuttal and refutations. They are confused since they usually just have a Hate-Palin fest all to themselves on any article that mentions her name. Generally I ignore the posts since I know there won't be much in the way of intelligent discourse but when Palin makes a statement that is true, ie: crony capitalism coming from both parties, well, I have to defend that statement. Sad that the bashers aren't aware of the fact that both parties are culpable and that it is an important issue, especially during these economic times.
Doug, Sounds like you may have the same type crush on Palin that Gaddafi had on Congolese Rice.
Teabaggers and Repulsians want to regress this country into their illusion of what it used to be in the Golden Post War 50's and early 60's. They really dont have a clue about what those times were really like for many americans. For one, Americans paid a bigger percentage in taxes then than they do now. There was no Medicare and most elderly paid out of pocket, got help from their children, or simply did without medical care. Half the nation was living under some degree of segregation, and it was illegal for many couples to be married in many states. This was not a Golden Age for America like they imagine. Progressives want to move this nation forward to better times for all americans, instead of regressing to a time when things sucked for all but a few white rich folks.
It should be Doug Wonders cus your out there in lala land with that idiot ho!
Communism, the big scare is communism. I have never heard such a load of crap.
I suspect rush limpsomthing is responsible as he seems to be the brain of the republican party these days as Boner does everything rush says. Then faux repeats his talking points.
I am guessing if we raise taxes on the richest our next step is communism. This all brought to you by the man protecting his own tax cut. Him I can understand, he is stingy and he has got his and the rest of the world can just literally drop dead as much as he cares.
But the middle class who defend this crap, you have to very dumb if you think you aren't getting thrown under the bus with the rest of us non rich.
Doug Ponders,
Her stupidness speaks loud and clear. Where have you been? Listen to the woman. She graduated from college yet does not know the basics of the history of this country. C'mon, you've got to be kidding. She doesn't fool anybody but the kooks.
That speech could not have gone over too well with the Powers That Be in the Tea-GOP. After all, the "Teaparty" was set up by the Koch Bros. and Dick Armey's "Freedom Works" specifically to support crony capitalism and get their already low taxes reduced even more.
Oh, well, maybe they'll think its a good way to fool some people into thinking "there's no Crony Capitalism in the Republican Party" - even though it's the very working definition of Crony Capitalism. One need only mention Halliburton, or all the favors handed out by Gov. Rick Parry and other Republicans, or all the Government functions "privatized" and sold to the highest bidder with a guaranteed profitable contract (which costs the taxpayers far more in the long run) while Republicans controlled Congress and the White House.
My opinion of Sara Palin has gone up a notch - but it's still rather low.
When is my next book deal?
Hmmmm...Am I going to have a billionaire hubby after 2012?
Hmmm...
My question is, how much did Palin get paid for this speech????
Cronyism claim from Sarah? She had Todd sitting in her meetings along with the youngest in a playpen when she was governor of Alaska. Of course, she was paying him for his appointment as "first dud", oh sorry - that was "first dude"
Run Sarah Run!!!!
LOL, my favorite little dingbat has presented herself. She wants to bring back the past and re-live it!! Yeah!
Palin is warning of Cronyism ?? That's rich !!... Looks like they still make wonder bras too huh? Poor old sarah is like a bad penny, she keeps showing up to annoy.
It's like Nagin giving evacuation and hurricane preparedness advice to NOLA.
Sara running will be a gift to the Democrats !!
Anyone as sick of Sarah as I am yet? I was sick of her in about 6 months. She's so into her own self, so gleeful always at how adorable she is. How she knows she has the ability to con America, not me. Gag
She's anything but adorable with her incomprehensible views. Same goes for all the other Teapublicans.
Oh, she does love her speechifyin', and throwing out her zingers, and doing the book tour. What she doesn't like is actually governing, that's too difficult and not as much fun! That's why I think it highly unlikely that she'll actually run, not as long as she can still have fun teasing the crowds.
This Just In!
Sarah Palin will NEVER make an announcement one way or the other but she will not run!
"I've thought it over, whether it's the right thing to do," said Palin. "God told me to keep my own council -- or is it councel? -- and She said not to run but to keep my lucrative job at Fox News and keep raking in what She called "the shekels" in personal appearance until my looks fade and people lose interest.
Replying to a reporter's question about her future plans, Palin said she would soon have enough "shekels" to retire to a coastal estate the size of Crete. "Maybe I'll buy the Dry Tortugas -- if they are really REALLY dry," she said, adding, "I think they're in Latin America somewhere, aren't they? I plan on learning Latin before retiring."
Robert- Thanks for the laugh!!!! LOL LOL
She is unknowingly helping the Perry campaign. In the end, I think Perry will get the nomination as a result of the evangelical vote. But, there is no way America will elect another pseudo Bush! …So – She is only helping to reelect Obama!
Although I am not a Sarah Palin fan I agree with her assessment of the problem in Congress or as she stated the "permanent political class"; the good old boys and girls that have been around for more than a decade and by their incompetence have allowed so many major American firms ship millions of American jobs overseas and have run up trillions of dollars of debt creating enormous challenges to this nations very survival. There are no corporate CEOS seated in Congress but they still control our elected officials from outside the Congress quite well and have done so for entirely to long and at the expense of average Americans. Its a culture of corruption that runs all the way from Wall Street to Pennsylvania avenue.
It is a pretty common POV, so it did not require any great insight or original thought on her part. But it's funny that she had any criticism of capitalism at all, going by the knee-jerk reactions of her fan base that would lead to an immediate accusation of "SOCIALIST" if the comment was made by anyone else.
Palin and Bachman are an abomination to there gender and there party.
There's "there" and then there's "their", learn the difference Einstein.
Thanks to texting, righting - sorry - writting or is it writting is becoming a lost art.
omg!
idk... "lost art?"
ty
Mehhhh..I dunno. They may be ditzy and lack any real substance BUT I'm pretty sure men would pay them money for sex.
BURP!!
I don't know would they pay them there or their?

Many women were pissed when McCain chose Palin as his VP--it's offensive to say that any random woman would get the job done.
their
cableguy74
sounds like you're just another jealous liberal that we have conservative women who are both attractive and have real common sense about America.
I'm proud that both Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Gov Palin represent conservative views
All of the TEA Party candidates and their religious statements, I through there was a separation between state and religion. Keep religion out of government, even in campaigning. There are enough nuts out there who don't believe in GOD as it is, we don't need some others coming to the debates or what ever; and causing trouble because WE HAVE to involve GOD in our speeches and in punishing or condemning the DEMOCRATS or Obama.
I wonder how Sarah would spell it, lol!
Larry, I just don't get it. Yeah, they're conservative. So what. Lots of people are. Even my dad, a staunch Republican, can't stand what he calls "blowhards": Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, etc. Bachmann and Perry fit right in. I am not jealous of these two women. I'm irritated that the SMART conservative women seem to have no voice in the Republican party.
And i could not agree with you anymore Bethie you think they could have found anyone a little bit smarter then those two? of course both are getting very rich so i guess we`re the dumbasses HUH!
cableguy: hey, do the women of America hold all men responsible for the idiocy of George Bush?? Come on. She's stupid because she's stupid. She's not stupid because she's female.
I say two tea bag hags are better than one, run lipsticked porker, run!
Don't be surprised if she announces her candidacy within the next few days, not because she thinks she has a chance to be nominated, but because she wants the number 2 spot. Unfortunately for her neither Gov. Perry nor Romney will pick her as a running mate. Her background is too similar to Perry's to add anything to the ticket, and Romney is too much of a pragmatist to consider her. If she enters the race the first casualty will be Michele Bachmann.
"If she enters the race the first casualty will be Michele Bachmann."
Nah ... I think Bachmann would just beat her into submission with that Titanium spine of hers.
That would be fun to watch....
Oh! No! You didn't go there. That's wrong on so many levels!
I mean UpStatejohn:"I say two tea bag hags are better than one, run lipsticked porker, run!" Wrong to the ladies and way wrong regarding our President. Whether you like him or not he his our President! So put your sheets back on the bed. You would rather have two very looney women over a black man. Got it! Please delay the cross burnings...if you can.
Ahh, hyperbole at its finest, thank you. So, it is OK to trash conservative women with vulgar sexual innuendo and calling their intelligence and anything else into question and holding them up to ridicule, but, to say anything negative about Obama, well, we must reference sheets and the KKK. Do you not see a smidgen of hypocrisy here?
Thanks for your post - one of the first intelligent ones I've read - we have a group of mean-spirited, vulgar grade-schooler mentality posters here - they wouldn't know a truth if it smacked them in the face.
Obvious references to dougponders, mygirl, jollyolsoul and larryrobinson...
if you read their (or is it there?) posts. As I stated above earlier: they are too busy obstinately spewing the RNC platform spin and sales pitches to understand facts and truth, and will resort to personal attacks on everyone who refuses to accept the gilded excuses and historical re-writes wingnuts and teanuts come up with to trick voters into letting them back in the White House.
Makes NO sense. Consider: 1990's President Clinton attempted to change the status quo in Washington and was met with fierce opposition from Newt & company (remember contract for America, etc.?) Still, he was able to reverse the deficit spending Reagan/Bush sr initiated which let to our federal budget being balanced (unheard of!) Now what happened? Bush jr comes in, does away with all Clinton's fiscally responsible policies and programs, and runs us, the nation, toward financial ruin. Of course W's friends, family and supporters did alright during that time, but the rest of the country has suffered since 2001.
Now they want us to allow them back in charge so they can rape us some more???? NO, absolutely!
Now listen to them yell, scream, and get upset that anyone would be "stupid" enough to oppose their bullying and expose the truth instead of blindly accepting their spin and untrue sales pitches. They will insist history did not occur as it truly did, that the facts - like these in this post - did not really happen, and they will loudly spout excuses and rationalizations in their attempt to explain away the truth...
Bottom line: Republican "regressive" fiscal policies and programs bankrupt the country; trickle down and supply side, while putting money in certain individuals' pockets, do NOT really work as they theorize and is BAD for the people; the out of control deficit spending (including low taxes, "breaks" and loopholes for the upper end wealthy and no-bid military contracts for Haliburton, etc.) will bankrupt this nation....
History PROVES this, regardless of your denial, excuses, rationalizations and talking point spin. Just a fact.
Therefore, we - the voters - are sick and tired of your greed and your adamant opposition to our President for endeavoring to reverse the mess. BACK OFF and cease the stornewalling. Our nation requires it!
Thanks not as stupid great post.
For those of you spouting about the brains of Palin, check out her revised story about Paul Revere and tell me just how smart she is. When as mayor in Alaska she tried to censor the books in the public library, that is something only the uneducated would do. Her and faux knows that censored information is better for pushing the right wing lies.
Bachmann, is so smart she signed a pledge stating that blacks were better off in slavery. Then she is going to produce $2.00 gas and if elected will turn around our country in 90 days. She is already on the payroll, shouldn't she be doing something for our country now? She has nothing but empty, can't even call them campaign promises, more like empty campaign lies. In tea land I guess that is smart.
Not so stupid: Gosh, so you don't like people who are actually concerned about the debt, the borrowing and the status quo that would continue with the debt, the borrowing and the bancrupting of the country. Why am I not surprised. Interesting as well how you focus like a laser on republicans and hold democrats guilt free. Perhaps you should investigate Clinton, how, exactly, did he 'balance the budget?' As to 'trickle down' what has happened as a result of Off-shoring jobs? As to 2001, can you remember what happened in 2001? A seminal event....come on, I know you don't want to acknowledge the economic impact of 9-11, but it happened.
Only problem the tea party is not concerned about the debt. How do I know? Because any person who truly cared about the debt would see that the tax cuts during war times was a mistake. Especially when in the rest of our history as a country we raise taxes during war.
If republicans cared about our country or the debt they would be raising taxes on the richest.
Yes, I remember 9/11 and that the most important thing bush could tell us is to go shopping and don't concern yourself that we are flying all OBL family out of America during a time when no other planes are flying. Yes I will grant you a small economic impact. But nothing like the tax cuts and wars did to our country. I forgot we are not allowed to talk about what bush did and left our country with just 2 1/2 years ago and you are whining about the economic impact of 9/11.
Clinton raised taxes is how he did it. Our country was growing and we had low unemployment. Quite the opposite of the lie that tax cuts create jobs. It was successful for America and that is why the republicans never want to raise taxes again.
This whole republican push is about privatizing America and selling her off to the rich to make even more money off the people. They envision an army like Blackwater all highly paid mercenaries and America can go to the dogs. That is only the beginning, but I can assure you that the rich get richer and the poor get nothing.
My Girl you sure are misinformed. It is hard to respond to all the lies you have been told.
My truth is your lie. And vice versa. Clinton did what? Clinton had a republican Speaker of the House, named Gingrich. Clinton, if you may recall, started out progressive and after reality smacked him on the head, suddenly became a centrist. Obama is experiencing the same magic moment. Think it is the all-powerful 18% been in office less than nine months teaparty doing this? Really? Or is it more in line with the fact that you can only tax and spend and borrow for so long before reality once again rears it's pointed little head.
See mygirl. This is exactly what I was speaking of: RNC spin, rationalization, escuses, and re-writes. If YOU were truly "concerned about the debt" you would have maintained President Clinton's fiscal policies and programs when we had them instead of supporting W.s tax cuts for his wealthy supporters and deficit spending. You are a day late with your alleged concern. Since you were not that concerned under W. you can not be concened now unless you wish to admit being a partisan, unpatriotic hypocrit.
Here is another point I made; deflection from the issue. It doesn't matter "how, exactly" The FACT remains that the federal budget was balanced when Clinton was President. No one needs to hear the spinand excuses and re-writes (e.g. "... it wasn't Clinton but the Republican congess." or "... it wasn't Clinton, but the dot-com bubble." or "it wasn't really balanced, only counted differently." etc., etc.) We have heard all the spin and talking points before; the fact is that we had a balanced budget in 1999. When W became President, the budget got un-balanced and disasterous deficit spending began (again.)
The final sentences you posted are the "excuses" and "explanations" I referenced. We don't care nor need spin and expanation why W.s presidency was a failure; we want and NEED solutions to fix the problems incurred 2001-2009. Obama wants to make those changes, but teabaggers oppose change and work to maintain the status quo as it is. The CHANGE is necessary! We HAVE to improve our situations.
I advocate supporting that change and improvement; that means supporting our President and not opposing/stonewalling against him.
Lets forget the spin, escuses, expanations and blame and deal with our real problems in the here and now.
Oh, please. So know you don't care how Clinton balanced the budget so long as it got balanced? Really? I mention Gingrich and how it was Gingrich who strong armed Clinton into balancing the budget and somehow it doesn't matter how it got balanced. Since when doesn't it matter, why, when a democrat is forced by a republican to do something.
Note: the debt under Bush had not reached critical mass until the last days of Bush.Had there been no financial collapse then we would not be having this discussion.
Interesting as well how you bash Bush and then turn around and make the astonishing statement that we should not look to the past but focus on the here and now. Huh?
As to spin, excuses, and explanations, please explain how Bush is responsible for everything happening with Obama. Dealing with the here and now and somehow you bring up Bush's faults and the teaparty as reason why Obama's policies are flawed.
Okay - once more for the LAST time. I'll type slowly so you can be sure to get it.
Before W., while Clinton was President, for whatever reason you want to believe, we had a balanced federal budget and surplus which would reduce and eventually retire our national debt. (Do you remember the national debt? The one Reagan tripled while in office with his trickle-down revisions?)
When W became President, he initiated tax rate changes (reduced rates for all, but MOST for his wealthy supporters in the upper end,) and deficit spending - un-balancing the federal budget and creating enormous federal debt.
Those are historical facts no matter HOW you want to spin it.
Between 2001 and 2009 this nation was led into disasterous economic problems. That is fact. The policies and programs adopted during that time, logically, MUST be reversed and we MUST get back to fiscal responsibility as we had under Clinton's administration.
This is NOT that difficult in the generalities; not rocket science, NOT so hard to understand except by the obstinate, hard-headed, blind teanuts who are upset basically that we had a good economy under a Democratic President, but financial disaster under the Republican President(s). GET IT?? Simple.
My statement is: What has happened, happened. Instead of spining to justify and/or excuse the Republican administrations, support our current President in addressing, overcoming and alleviating this nation's financial problems. It makes NO sense to adamately insist we keep with the failed programs and policies simply because they were initiated while the Republican was president, OR to obstinately refuse to support beneficial changes in policy because they are presented while we have a Democratic president.
Republican "hurt feelings" which actually began with Nixon and Watergate, do not need to be justified, excused, explained nor avenged; support our Chief of State in rectifying our economic woes for the benefit of ALL U.S. citizens.
Can you understand this?
Not as stupid, great post, but I am sure she won't get it. Her head is plum full of lies and her whole phony world falls apart if she lets them go.
Thank you for typing slowly, I will return the favor. For both of you.
There was double digit inflation during the 80's recession. Reagan cut marginal tax rates which were at approximately 80%. By reducing tax rates he increased tax revenues (I know it is difficult to understand the concept, especially when under the influence of demogoguery) Reagan got inflation under control and during his administration the GDP grew at the highest rate since WWII. His economic record is marred by a rapid decrease in the rate of household savings. Under Reagan the debt grew from 1.79 trillion to 3.76 trillion, doubled, not tripled.
Clinton refinanced the debt with short term high interest bonds which gave the appearance of a reduced debt. He also took money from Social Security and added that to the general fund (something he learned from Johnson) He signed the Balanced Budget Amendment which was written by Newt Gingrich and the Republican congress although democrats still want to give him credit for that one.
Well Americans First, you called that one correctly...
Saw the same spin, excuses, justifications and rhetorical talking points coming didn't you. Oh well!
If truth makes their heads explode, I believe we have not choice but to explode a bunch of heads.
mygirl needs to stop believing her misinformation she receives from emails.

Not one of you addressed the Balanced Budget Amendment why is that? Nor were the numbers of Reagans debt addressed. The supposed refutations to my post do not address what I posted. notso: read what you cited, noticed some codicils in there.
Well here you go mygirl.....
The fiscal shift in the Reagan years was staggering. In January 1981, when
Reagan declared the federal budget to be "out of control," the deficit had
reached almost $74 billion, the federal debt $930 billion. Within two years, the
deficit was $208 billion. The debt by 1988 totaled $2.6 trillion. In those eight
years, the United States moved from being the world's largest international
creditor to the largest debtor nation.

Republicanomics at its best...
Again in 2012? NO THANKS!
Palin- the joke that keeps on giving. Run Sarah Run!!!!!!!! Polls for strippers and skiers, a stolen joke but a funny one!!!!!! Give to the half-timer at Sarahpac.you betcha wink wink.com!!!!
You too can also be cause ya betcha. "wink". What a whore!
With just a little practice she could probably also turn backflips in the street. Sounds like shes testing the waters
for a presidental run.
Funny how this uh, woman gets on the tirade of republicans being offered money for favors, when this woman is making millions of dollars at speaking engagements for the baggers, yet there is no clue as to what she's doing with her money. How much money has she stuck in a politicians pockets to get the things she wants. Oh, and she won't run for anything except to the bank to cash all that money given to her by old geasers who think that she was looking specifically at them in her speeches. Get wise, gentlemen. Can't have it, wouldn't want it when the package is opened. Personally over time, I think she is starting to look like a wizard of oz character.. You know, the bad one that flew around on a broom and scared everyone.
Stop hatin'.......You jealous??????.....It is a free country, you can jump your shyt talking azz out there and do the same thing if you have game. If not shut up and keep it movin'. She isn't losing any sleep over the fact that liberals dislike her.
People might be saying your woman looks like an Oz character....the little one that Dorothy put in the basket.
IntheMiddle,TX-1st mistake, where did you get the notion that it's a free country. It's only free if you don't get caught. And to unmask your mom as my woman, is a shame to your mom. She isn't losing sleep over the fact that liberals dislike her, are you kidding. Clean your glasses off and take a good look at the woman. She might not be losing sleep, but something's going on with that face. She's probably staying up watching infomercials on how to get rid of those saggy eyes, and that turkey neck. She's a dead ringer for one of the birds she stood in front of during a news conference about a "certain thanksgiving" a few years back.
Yeah... we used to be a free country - now we are just awfully cheap instead of free...
inflation you know.
Can someone plug her idiothole please?
With what? Nudge nudge, wink wink.
Know what you mean..eh?
I wouldn't risk the well being of THAT particular plug, wink wink.
Nah, you 'equality' loving liberals here can't do much except use sexual innuendo as a puerile attempt to degrade and demean.
mygirl1: YOU ARE OFFENSIVE! You have no argument. You like to label all people who do not agree with you as "liberals". We're not all "liberals". But you would actually have to know the definition of that to know it. By all means...do a google search. Liberal...not such a bad thing!
Bethany: Amusing, you don't see anything offensive with 'plug her idiot hole' and 'saggy eyes' or the well being of 'that particular plug' but you find offense with my use of the word liberal. As to liberal, I am using it in the contemporary context, once upon a time a liberal was what would be labeled as 'teaparty' today. So, which definition are you using?
Eugene Saxe-if someone would plug her idiothole, her head would look like an oversized pin cushion.........
My goodness, what an intelligent remark.
Well, your girl Palin isn't saying anything intelligent, we're just trying to fill in.
So you don't think that corporate cronyism is a concern? Said cronyism coming from both parties? Have you complained about the corporations buying politicians?
oh please...what a courageous stance ..."corporate cronyism". She sounds like a school girl. Watch her reaction if anyone actually asks question number two, "and what do you plan on doing about it, specifically?" (then you can rush on here and complain about her being 'hounded' by the media asking her questions that are just too tough for her.)
Part of me wants to see her run because I think it would be funny, and part of me would be scared to death if she ran because people would be stupid enough to vote for her.
So true.
Stupid people voting? Yeah, I agree, just look who got in office at the last election.
Hope you're talking about the congress! Cause what a bunch of idiots! They would see our country default than do the right thing. Dumb asses that got our credit rating lowered....and cut funds for the poor...and created no jobs. Very stupid people voting against their own interests.
mygirl- you mean in 2000 and 2004, yeah your right stupid people voting, your words!!!
little bird: Actually I was just repeating the comment from post #23. You may construe it however you want. As to voting for congress, interesting how there was a democratic super majority for two years. In that time the debt rose to heights never before seen in American history. If it is stupid to want a nation that is solvent and not borrowing and indebting not only our children but our children's children into perpetuity, guess I'll go with stupid. Whose interests are truly at stake here? Seems there is much fighting over maintaining the status quo, which, by all indications, is a failure.
mygirl You are correct that congress is Dem, but you forgot the house is GOP. Unless you were out of touch during the budget debate it was the house that held the US hostage. The house speaker let a gaggle of Teabag Rep run him around by his nose trying to make us all believe that it was the Dem's fault. Palin is a Teabagger.
First, the house had a democratic majority prior to Nov. 2010. Second: It was a congressional mandate that the budget be passed prior to that time, it was the responsibilty of the democrats holding the super majority to pass a budget, they ignored it and did nothing. If a budget at that time was so pressing then why wait? Pelosi stated that the budget was too hot of an issue to pass at that time (ironic considering how able they were to focus on HCR) and the issue was tabled.
The democrats have not offered a budget, the compromises that were 'offered' contained items that were beyond unsustainable. Obama offered a budget that increased the debt by trillions and reduced spending by billions. It was so bad that the Senate voted 97-0 against it. The republicans have offered several budgets, rather than offering a budget or two of their own, the democrats were content to demogogue the republican budgets.
There was never any danger of a default, despite the political theater. The debt ceiling has been raised 81 times in the past and there was no danger that it would not be raised yet again. As to the S&P rating, their contention was that there was too much bi-partisan bickering for a viable compromise to be reached. Their other point, an issue that gets lost in the hyperbolic rhetoric, was the unsustainable debt and the ability of the government to address it.
I guess we must not watching the same news, me NBC you Fox. Are you a staffer to any GOP candidate?? We get staffers in here all the time, even had a Rep Sen here before, or at least one of his staff that posted the same refference to oil drilling bills that were sent by email to the residents of my state. Just wondering.
if you're addressing your comment to my post #23.7 and you're concerned because I might be a GOp staffer, well, no, I don't work for any political office nor do I belong to any political party. I can understand your confusion since I'm not bashing Palin and actually asking questions that require answers beyond...Palin is a slut, stupid, ugly, pinhead, etc. elementary school level diatribe.
Also, I don't own a television, what passes for news is nothing more that ideological pandering to certain mindsets so, no Fox or NBC, CBS etc. Like Hilary, I think Al Jazeera actually gives a more salient newscast...which I catch via the internet.
She has no chance of winning even the nomination. And based on her track record she has no stomach for the grind of campaigning or governing.
But for the first time I think she may actually run as a third party candidate because of these reasons. There would be no danger of actually having to be president or participate in primaries and debates. Plus she would stay in the spotlight she so desperately craves. As someone mentioned earlier it could be her and Trump.
I'm sure such a scenario keeps karl Rove up at night!
Oh, yes, in the last election, 2010, stupid people gave Republicans control of the House and enough Republican Senators to filibuster anything. The resulting gridlock means nothing can be done to improve the economy or bring back jobs - but of course the Republicans WANT a bad economy, as bad as they possibly can make it, so they can "Blame Obama" and take control of the White House and Congress in 2012.
Of course, if enough people catch on to what the Republicans are up to, the 2012 election results will not be what they expected.
A historic moment folks. Sara Palin made an honest statement in public. She criticized the GOP for crony-capitalism, practiced by Bush-Cheney and the last Republican Congress, which cost countless billions.
However, SaraCuda couldn't make a whole speech without partisan attacks and lies, which she did by including Dems. Dems have some warts, but crony-capitalism isn't one of them.
Chuck
GE +Imult (who sits at the right hand of the "father" in the WH) AND is supposedly the Jobs Czar is supposed to keep jobs here in the US..........GE jobs going to China and Korea. Also does not paying $14million in taxes due to Obama looking the other way finish the math problem.
Now according to your dictionary this is "friendship....not cronyism....ha ha ha ha ha ha
Jump Sheep Jump!!!!!!
Ya that speech is going to haunt her, the Repobocrats are owned by the multinationals and special interest groups - they are not going to like anyone who tells it like it realy is!!
I think we ought to find out who her speech writer is and vote him\her for president
Absolutely true.
Crap! Michael, you got my idea down before I did! Well said!
