Subscribe to RSSContrary to a report out today, a top HuckPAC official tells First Read, "There is no truth to the rumors" that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is reconsidering a run for president.
"The governor is still content with his decision to stay out of the race," the official said.
A Reuters report contended Huckabee hasn't shut the door on running. The source says it is true that Republicans have reached out to him to reconsider -- something the source says is not new. But Huckabee has not changed his mind.
Another Huckabee source also tells NBC's Andrew Rafferty, "There are people asking him to reconsider, but that is not something he is doing right now."
The rumors about Huckabee are the latest to surface following stumbles by Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry in recent weeks -- and the continued lack of enthusiasm for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Romney, by the way, will appear as a guest this weekend on Huckabee's FOX show.

Thank you!!!!!! I'm so lucky! I heard the sirens go off down the street, I went out and stood on the sidewalk just as her car went by and I saw Michelle Obama in profile, putting on her sunglasses, and she's BEAUTIFUL!
A large group of girls in soccor uniforms were bounding down the street earlier and I heard one of them tell her Mom on a cell phone "I got a hug!" They were very excited.
I'm so glad the weather was fantastic for the First Lady's visit. Maine was sparkling in the sunshine. I'm so happy I got to see Michelle Obama!

The mainstream media and the establishment is searching feverishly for a candidate that can completely eliminate Ron Paul from the GOP primary but so far are coming up short. Democrats and Republicans both fear the change in direction that Washington would have to do if Paul were to be elected and both parties will do whatever they can to keep the status quot. Don't be fooled and actually listen to the candidates and check their past voting history and the choice will be clear.

The Republicans know they need somebody else to run (because the current "field" looks more like a pasture), but the Huckster sure isn't it. Huntsman is now the only one I could possibly consider to be a legitimate contender for my vote (though I still like Paul's position of getting us out of the wars NOW), but he has no chance of getting the nomination. I think the President will get a second term, and that his on-the-job experience will serve the nation well.

I just heard from a credible source that the RNC has a new method for selecting the next to step into the race. They bought a black windowless van they pull up to people on the street and ask if they are Tea Party and if the response is yes they hogtie the person throw him in the van and they have their newest candidate.
