Restore Our Future, the Super PAC supporting Mitt Romney's presidential bid, has placed a new $1.7 million ad buy in Florida, bringing its total spending to $7 million and counting, according to Smart Media Group Delta, the ad-tracking firm partnering with NBC News.
By comparison, the well-financed Romney campaign so far has spent just $5.5 million in advertising.
Restore Our Future -- run by former top aides to Romney's 2008 presidential campaign -- has spent $2.7 million in Iowa, $1.7 million in South Carolina, and $2.6 million in Florida.
Here are the totals in the GOP Super PAC race:
Restore Our Future $7 million
Make Us Great Again (pro-Perry) $3.4 million
Our Destiny PAC (pro-Huntsman) $2.1 million
Winning Our Future (pro-Gingrich) $1.3 million
Red White and Blue Fund (pro-Santorum) $694,000
Santa Rita PAC (pro-Paul) $324,000
Note: While Winning Our Future will reportedly spend $3.4 million in South Carolina, Smart Media Group Delta has yet to see a buy of that size.

7 MILLION dollars is an OBSCENE amount of money to spend promoting ordinary white bread!
Talk about not getting a bang for your buck! lol
Feisty,
Talk about raising money and promoting candidates …
I love how people on the Right make so much noise about people that leave this Administration and try to make it about how bad a leader our President must be.
When you look at what really happens you find that most of them become fundraisers and/or organizers to reelect this President.
With much help from Fox News, Van Jones was forced to resign and ever since he has spent all of his time promoting the liberal ideas and supporting the reelection of President Obama. If he were not forced to resign then he would not have had the time for all of his activism.
Feisty come on Willard is going to spend more than that on his California remodel. Seven million is pocket change to this guy. Not unlike George W Mitt needs to be President because daddy ran for it and did not get it. He absolutely needs to be better than dad.
Dennis & Ray,
Good points!
What pisses me off is these super secret squirrels do all the dirty work, while Willard keeps his meticulously manicured hands clean!
But who will be outraged when the Super PACs for the President and DNC out spend those for the Republican candidate and the RNC?
Remember the largest fund raiser win in 94% of the contests.
With all that money you would thing they would dress him better ...he always has on "DAD PANTS" ....and thank god he stopped wearing those "suits in a bag "...bed in a bag... yes "suits in a bag " NOooooo !
This weeks Rasmussen poll. What do you fear most today?
36% Obama getting reelected
33% Unemployment
16% Iran getting the bomb
Since the top 2 choices in the poll are related to Obama and his failed policies, I don't think the Republicans have to worry too much about beating the community organizer!
George,
“36% Obama getting reelected”
So what the poll is saying is that 64% are okay with an Obama second term.
tell psmnbc to report accurately exactly how much OBOMBO spent
on his first election and now his re-election and who he got the
money from!!!! big unions, hollywood, wall street, green companies,
healtcare, GE, GMC, enviormentalist, left wing radical liberal progressive
marxists, communist groups, black panthers, etc.....but NO! you can't
even find his college papers or any records of his past. great reporting nbc!
$7 million dollars!?! My gosh, that's almost (but not quite) the cost of TWO vacations for the Obama's!
Say, It is better to wear Dad pants than the "Mom jeans" Obama wore to through out the first pitch at a White Sox game.
George Hayduke Sr
We know about a third of the electorate is Republican, so that "what do you fear most" answer is not surprising. What is surprising is only 33% fear a rise in unemployment - clearly Americans feel we have turned the corner on the recesssion - and that reflects well on Obama and his policies.
Dennis, I would say that the poll results show most of country (based on the poll) are outright afraid of a 2nd obama term and/ are worried about his abject failure with the economy! Replacing obama will improve the economy and then our greatest fears will go away! Just logic.....
@JSmith1:
Maybe the President should scale back in these times of austerity. On the other hand, all Presidents take vacations, and they are costly. Presidential vacations tend to be "working vacations" also--Presidents are not removed from the affairs of office no matter where they are.
You ought to be able to find something more substantial to complain about, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure you are just being snarky.
Makes me wonder how much money the donors to these Super PACs have that they give so much money in a primary campaign without seeming to miss it.
I think these Super PACs are mostly meaningless. To think the candidate doesn't know what they're doing on his or her behalf is just plain stupid, for sure.
The money floodgates are, unfortunately, wide open. The only thing left to do is to force disclosure of all campaign-related spending, so that everyone can see who's behind what.
What on earth are they afraid of?
On second thought, I already know.
In the end people are going to vote for the re-election of President Obama. The simple logic is he saved the country from another great depression, after taking over from President Bush.
We all have to remember President Obama had sloppy seconds to deal with.
George Hayduke, talk about twisted logic; either that or your math interpretation skills are backwards. Dennis OH is absolutely right. 36% does not come close to a majority, 64% do not fear re-election of President Obama which is well over a majority.
Why don't super pacs just call themselves by their candidates names? I suppose their aim is anonymity, like the swift boaters' never had to say who actually funded their cause. giving money to a super pac is like putting a bag over your head politically. Evidently people who provide money to these SCOTUS created entities believe in a cause, but for some reason don't believe enough in them to allow their names to go onto the public record.
Who is OBOMBO? There is no clear listing when I Google search this person.
"Money can buy me love" seems to be able to? I wished I owned a TV Network, they are going to "Win" no matter who does!
The libs are whining about the 7 million Romney's super PAC spent but don't care about the $4 Million the of taxpayer Money the Obama's spent enjoying the holidays in Hawaii. Figures!
"The libs are whining about the 7 million Romney's super PAC spent but don't care about the $4 Million the of taxpayer Money the Obama's spent enjoying the holidays in Hawaii. Figures!"
I don't see anyone whinging about what Romney spends.
It's all fake outrage by you people. You know the truth. The President pays for his food and lodging for himself and family and friends. However, the Secret Service and Air Force one must be used in this case.
Where you guys crying when President Bush was taking his very long vacations?
@JSmith1:
If you do research before typing nonsense you would discover that Presidents pay for their own household expenses including private vacations. We do contribute to Airforce One and the security but that would exist no matter where he would go. How many vacations did G. W. Bush take and how long were they? Now compare that with Obama and get back to us.
Dwayne,

Hayduke, new gallop poll out today!
Obama approval rating: down to 42%
Obama disapproval rating: up to 50%
Analysis: not a good time to be a liberal / socialist!
That's the Daily Tracking Poll - doesn't mean much.
Just a week ago taday he was right-side-up at 47/46.
Job1
WHo's whining? How about your reining lib Queen in #1
You've got to wonder what these guys get out of it...they're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts!
So I figure there must be some big payback coming their way - tax breaks, government contracts, presidential pardons...I wonder how much Haliburton donated to Bush/Cheney.
All of the above? ;o)
Ursala, this $$ is being spent Now as a downpayment for a future Ambassidorship in case Romney(or God forbid another GOP candidate) wins the WH.At least these socalled Job creators are spending some of the $$ they've been sitting on for sometime now.
With that said, the Traveling Circus moves on to SC tomorrow & the RightWing BibleThumpers, will add thier Version of Presidential Politics to the Clown Show. It's gonna be a Fun, Fun, Fun, 9 days in SC. Will thier Hypoctitical version of Religion(No other God but My God) make a difference in todays GOP Political Race, or will they Swallow(and Choke on it) Mormonism & get behind the Corparate Politician?
I havta admit, it''s really Comical from where i'm sitting, watching 1 candidate after another Attack thier Sacred God of Capitalism!
ROFLMAO here @
Occupy SoggyBottom!!
In the case of Solyndra they got around 550M
Wall street have no qualms spending 7 million. They made more that a trillion times cannibalizing main street.
Alan, NJ The libbies complain about Romney's 'venture capitalist' background yet technically Obama is a bigger one! Didn't he fund Solyndra? That one didn't work out too well for the taxpayers/investors did it? It did get Obama some campaign contributions though....
and the Fast and Furious program... can't we also call that an Obama venture capital funded deal?
Aren't the liberals funny and hypocritical?
Don't forget about the 443 million no bid contract to Siga Technologies for a smallpox vaccine that could never be tested by the FDA. Siga is owned by a billionaire Obama contributor and bundler. Part of the Dollars for Donors program Obama has for his 1%er club.
Alan, to say nothing of John Doerr, (the ongoing scam that is Fiskar Automotive), Steve Westly, (various green scams totaling more than half a billion tax dollars), George Kaiser's OTHER scams, (it was more than just Solyndra- he got half a billion for "recharging stations" for electric cars, another half a billion to bring broadband to about a dozen homes in the Mid West, and other, sundry scams that have been revealed by iWatch- but not touched on by the media), -
And the big dollar donors who got themselves appointed to federal boards overseeing the release of federal dollars to programs promoted by, guess who? Other big dollar donors.
This guy makes Teapot Dome look like a parlor game.
Teapot Dome! Ha how old are you, don't tell us you are so old you used to be Ron Paul's babysitter!
Forrest,
The best part about all of the non-scandals is that unless someone is prosecuted none of it will play with the voters and other than negative ads there won’t be any news coverage.
Right, Dennis.
If Obama committed murder in the Oval office in full view of the press, it would not count, according to you, because Holder would not prosecute him.
I have been saying for more than a year that we need a special prosecutor- I was against allowing that statute to lapse, even though it happened during the Bush administration. Not having a special prosecutor has given Obama a license to steal- and he has taken full advantage.
However, your delusion that the public does not care? About to be put to the test. If you don't think those third party ad-buyers you so decry will not run ads highlighting the theft of taxpayer monies for the purpose of repaying Obama's big buck donors, you have another think coming.
Obama shelved in 2012- and his Dollars to Donors program goes with him. Too bad we can't force him to repay the Treasury.
Four billion a year in subsidies for oil companies, that is 8 solyndra's a year every year, and republicans would kick their grandmothers in the ass before they stopped shoveling taxpayers money into the the pockets of the most profitable companies on the planet. So stop already with your false concern for taxpayers money going to contributors to political campaigns, call your republican reps and complain to them, police your own, dig into Haliburton, quit worring about a little lunch money go for the big score.
And I've been saying for years that the AG should be an elected position - 6 year term.
And in the case of Halliburton, how much, Alan? How much?
And how many lives were sacrificed to cover for it?
At least, with Solyndra, nobody had to die.
Forrest, as you well know, there is a world of difference between a tax deduction, and a bushel of cash pushed out the back door and into a donor's pockets.
Not only do you know it, but the electorate knows it.
Nice attempt at spin, but, I gotta tell you- it's wobbling.
Badly.
Tax deduction no way, a subsidy is a cash payment, I'm not the one spinning.
Green tech subsidies, oil subsidies what is the difference. Except that the oil industry is already established and is the most profitable business in history.
Read and learn' Forrest
http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2011/05/12/good-question-why-does-big-oil-get-taxpayer-subsidies/
There are many other sites. Just Google "do oil companies get tax subsidies".
If you really DID believe they got cash, a la Solyndra, you have been badly misinformed.
Now that you know the truth, I expect you won't be using that particular trope again. Am I right? I hope so.
Ignore no jo, folks. She's paid by the RNC to distract voters from the hypocrisy and scandals of the Republicans running for office. She's working like crazy to turn the conversation away from the billions special interests are paying Republican PACs to return the financial sector to "business as usual."
AM getting all agitated.
Here's a difference Annie dear, Solyndra got a taxpayer handout to do nothing. Halliburton actually did some work.
Clear now?
Alan, the Solyndra loans began under President George W. Bush. There's a nice big photo of Bush giving a speech in front of Solyndra, touting the green energy facility. Go check the facts and quit putting all the blame on the administration you don't like. It's petty and it's tiresome nonsense.
Ah, our local fascist Little Amy telling others what to do.
But don't fret Little Amy, you'll never be ignored. You provide way too much humor to ignore.
Oh, yes, JoAnna, Halliburton did great "work" in Iraq -- like electrocuting soldiers in the showers, and securing the oil fields -- they ARE secure, aren't they, JoAnna?
Although, one might make a VERY plausible argument that, while it was "good" work, it wasn't necessary work, and that it was ginned up so that Halliburton, Blackwater, and other defense contractors could feast off of it.
And don't forget, JoAnna, more than 4,300 soldiers died so Halliburton could do it.
I suspect that same money would have done better "work" at home, say fixing up roads and bridges and building schools and stuff, and wasted a LOT fewer lives.
And after all that time, we left Iraq so well-prepared, that Republicans are already screaming about how it's falling apart.
Well, I could have told them that. In fact, I did.
And what were YOU saying about it, JoAnna, during all that time?
The difference? The oil industry actually produces something.
Aha ... here is the JoJo NoJo tag team ... I must be in the poetry corner. JoJo reads poetry NoJo but she won't tell me who. Do you read poetry NoJo? I would love to know which poets you gals read.
You don't want to go through this drill again with oil, do you, JoAnna?
So you're one of the few that believe Iraq was a setup for profiteering by the Defense industry. Ooookay . . .
Your tin-foil hat on tight AM? Lets hope so, I think you're being monitored.
And I'm glad you're reading me again. Apprécier!
"Drill". "Oil". Very good Annie!
You might want to double up on the thickness of that tin-foil hat. I think "They" are controlling you.
Anna:
Obviously you are out of your knowledge comfort zone when it comes to military contractors.
Military contractors are a neccessary animal hence being the military was drawn down tremendously during the 90's. The Clinton administration was always hostile toward the military thus came all of the contacting work.
Who do you think are the contractors and the employees of the contractors? EX-MILITARY.....Active duty personel get out and come right back to work the next morning in the same job as a civilian. Why do you think Halliburton has a line rolling around the corner with people waiting for an interview? I guess that is a bad thing with the unemployment rate spiraling down (sarc).
Go take a look at the board of directors on some of the contractors sites. See if you recognize a lot of your Democrat idols sitting up there with the cigars in their mouths. Those Democrats to whom you thought couldn't do anything wrong.
Amy is a fascist, I thought she was a communist or a socialist or a Marxist. No wait she is none of those she is an American capitalist she goes to work each day in the private sector and hopes that she can make a personal profit from her own hard work. She works to provide her own living, she gets no subsidies, she gets no tax write offs, she can't depreciate her car or furniture as a capital expenditure, because she is not a wealthy job creator, she is just a women who works at her job, and pays her own way, is that now considered a fascist. She is not a fascist, she just does not make enough money to have even more money lavished upon her. She is a democrat and the only difference between her and 99% of republicans is that she realizes she is a democrat.
JoJo
"And I'm glad you're reading me again. Apprécier!"
Apprécié
So which is it Grumps?
Hey Annie, look what I found! Turns out your Governor has found a half BILLION dollars in savings for your state. That will help in fixing up roads and bridges and building schools and stuff, don't ya'think?
Source: http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/walker-waste-panel-identifies-nearly-a-half-billion-in-savings-4j3oe30-137023378.html
Governor Scott Walker - what a guy. And congratulations, you and all Wisconsinites!
I bet you're proud Annie, and you should be.
JS1,
Walker waste panel identifies half a billion in savings
GOOD solid numbers when Walker does it
BAD, deceptive accounting when Obama does it.
Can't we all just get along!
Ha read my post slowly and carefully, and you will figure it out, Evelyn Woodhead.
Dennis, the debt ceiling was raised back in August. It will be raised again in a few weeks, yes that's correct, Obama has burned though it all in 6 months. Show us the accounting practice where Obama has "Saved" anything.
JS1,
Over 1 trillion dollars has already been cut from the spending and if you remember Obama wanted 3-4 trillion and Boehner walked away.
Don't forget the additional 1.2 trillion that will be cut.
Hey Thetotas, jump in the water is fine, just a little muddy.
LoL That's what they make you think so you don't realize they're controlling YOU.
As for Walker, don't celebrate just yet. What Walker thinks is waste and what I think is waste may be two very different things.
Let's just wait and see what the "changes" he refers to are.
By the way, the guy quoted in the article, Cullen Werwie, is the same guy who recently received immunity for testifying in the John Doe probe that just resulted in the arrest of three more of Walker's stooges and is getting ever closer to Scotty Boy. Just so you know who your heroes really are.
Have a good one, JoAnna. As I said before, I always read. I don't usually respond.
@ ITM -- And your point? MY point was NOT that Democrats can do no wrong. Au contraire. MY point was that it's not only Democrats who are in bed with their donors. And YOU, unwittingly, proved it.
You don't read very closely, do you?
Later.
Forrest,
Just a little muddy, me thinks its more like quicksand.
Well Mr. Obama will certainly have a chance to renew his hope of, as he promised, "cutting the deficit in half by the end of his first term" when he comes out with his FY2013 budget which comes out in a few weeks. How much do you want to bet it doesn't come anywhere close?
And Dennis, please, these 10 year plan trillion dollar cuts mean very little when there is $50 trillion dollars worth of spending. We need to see the cuts, and not cuts in anticipated growth but actual cuts, in this years budget. Future Congresses are not obligated to these so called "out-year cuts".
JS1,
There you go again, changing the topic.
Any future Congress can write another law undoing anything ... what's your point???
Nah Thetotas just a little mud-wrestling, come on in, it's fun, you can't get hurt, I don't play too rough.
Joanna,
What's your point? I certainly hope you chastise each and every president/congress that has raised the debt ceiling. Feel free to extrapolate any conclusion from the data below, but I don't either party has an argument.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” …….. Senator Barack Obama - 2006

Think we got a leadership failure today RM? I do. Senator Obama thought so too, back in 2006. What do you think RM? You can think, right?
What a waste of money?
Can't buy my vote.
Obama 2012
JoAnna - RM can think but it is becoming more and more apparent you just parrot the old GOP mantra. Do as we say not as we do. Try to think a little yourself - it may hurt for a while but it will do you a world of good!
Joanna,
A recent post you had written berated a few people for hurling insults. I see you're certainly not above them.
Are you questioning my ability to think solely because I see things differently?
I think the fact that we have been raising the debt ceiling since 1919 is part of a larger issue. We haven't been able to pay our bills for 90 years. Of course I am over-generalizing, because I'm not taking into account for the depressions, wars or other economic factors. However you get the point. Its easy to pass the blame. I'm impressed you've given President Obama that much credit.
Out of curiosity, who are you supporting in the Republican primaries?
That's a lot of scratch for 25%...
or at this point, a poor R.O.I.
Continuing on your musical thread from FT, maybe Romney's PAC needs a new name. (really, can you "restore" a future that hasn't happened yet?)
I suggest "Money Can't Buy Me Love".
Not bad, but reality trumps satire on this one...

"I've never seen one"...then 12 seconds later...lol
If Mitt wins by less than 20 points, look for the MSM to spin it as a "loss"....
dangerfield,
I do believe my choice of song, the O'Jays "For the Love of Money" may have been more apropos than I realized.
JoAnn,
You can NEVER go wrong with the Beatles!!!!
Or Spinal Tap...:)
Do I have to come right flat out and tell you everything?

dangerfield - A classic moment in debate history. I still can't believe that one got by me when I was actually watching the debate.
Jon Stewart 2012!
Shame on Romney for not telling Americans he exported jobs from America.
Here's a quote from Bain's web site...
"We help clients ensure that IT offshoring and outsourcing decisions are based on business strategy and help set up deal structures, capability networks and sourcing agreements to deliver enduring results -- lower costs now and flexibility for the future.
Strategic sourcing is the process by which organizations determine how to access the right IT and business capability at the right cost. Sourcing must be managed effectively across the four key dimensions of management, resources, services and business processes.
Outsourcing of IT or business processes is just one option of sourcing strategies, often unleashing tremendous value. With strategic sourcing, Bain can enable clients to ensure sourcing decisions are based on business strategy and to help set up sourcing agreements to deliver value now and flexibility for the future."
Bain and Rommo outsourced all the jobs here in America! What do you think he will do if elected? Outsource all gov. jobs to where... India, China .. why not, GWB did with all the tax cuts, and acct.skills that landed right into Obama lap. The GOP left our country in a deep recession and look at who they blame?? What about the deregulation of banking and the seating of only GOP judges to the Supreme Court---which led to Citizens United- look how well that is doing. UNFAIR CONCEALMENT OF DOLLARS SPENT TO HIRE A PUTZ TO THE WHITE HOUSE to further business interests. The GOP cannot even remember what they are told to say in debate. Example-Rick Perry. The rest of them are a little better at recall, not by much. There is Ron Paul who is just old enough to plunge our country into a communist state just before he keels over laughing! My vote is for President Obama. He will lead us out of the mess the GOP loves.
is anybody else sick of fiesty deadhead?
If you don't like her you don't have to read this blog. There...your problem is solved.
I will definitely be reading this blog the day after election day.
The moonbat blubbering will be priceless...
Right Bob, just like the republicans elected McCain like the wingers were predicting here on First Read.
Oh, that is right, McCain was not elected.
But Bob wants Romney and his Bush advisers so he can finish the job destroying America that Bush and his advisers started. If you loved how Bush and the republicans left our country you are going to love Romney even more.
Remember the republicans love and protect the 1% more than they love America.
Who do you love more?
That 1% BS has become a facade. I would like for a serious set of journalist to go out and break the so-called 1% down into categories; Democrats, Republicans, whatever. I want everyone to see there are just as many Democrats in this country with money coming out of their arses as anyone else.
You cry about 1%, but actually the top 25% of this country is not hurting. What is the cut-off? I guess someone making a mere 300,000 grand a year is hurting according to Democrats.
O when Bush killed thousands in a war that was unnecessary and Ashcroft let him do it but what you describe would be horrible? Hypocrisy is alive and well on the far right.
$1 Trillion is a ton of money to be cut! I mean, imagine if there was a Presidential candidate that cut that in his first year. But, that's nonsense, no one has ever proposed that.
That "Super Committee" was so on par and efficient, that in the first time in our countries history, we had our credit downgraded. That's fiscal responsibility! Wonder why Obama didn't just circumvent the Constitution to make such cuts as he'd like. I give Obama that, he's been good at ignoring silly laws and checks & balances we have in place to get what he wants.
Ron Paul 2012.
Obama and Bush are both at fault. Don't be completely deluded, please. Last I checked, Obama reauthorized the Patriot Act despite the deaths of Saddam and Bin-Laden, signed the NDAA, pushed for the Internet Killswitch Act that would allow the President to shut-off the internet in the private sector for any reasons of "National Security." But, fear not! We have SOPA now that can continue the raping and pillaging of civil liberties in that pesky Constitution of ours. Don't forget, Obama never went through Congress for involvement in Libya. We managed to capture Saddam and went through the procedures to try and sentence him. But, yeah, Obama is the glowing bastian of freedoms and sound economic policy. I bet Obama doesn't even have any funding from Wall Street.

Would you look at the names of these outfits. "Restore Our Future", "Red, White, and Blue Fund", etc. are the names of these incredible deceivers that now dominate our politics. The Supreme Court and the Congress have combined to make the truth of who is screwing whom almost impossible to determine. At least the contributors should be made known. I think we have a constitutional right to know who these whores are. (And I don't think they have a constitutional right to lie anonymously.) We wonder why so many voters become disillusioned or why so many voters appear unable to find the cheese. This has to be one of the big reasons.
Using your analogy, we know who the "Whores" are...the candidates themselves...for they are the ones who have been bought and sold.
No, we need to know who the "Pimps" and the "Johns" are...who is running these SuperPACs and who's giving the money?
I sincerely hope you are applying that label to BOTH sides including your beloved Obama.
I will see if you will echo those same sentiments once this general election starts. When both candidates come to the table with a mere billion a piece, I want to hear you loud and clear.
ITM---the Supreme Court has spoken---this is all legal behavior. I don't blame the President's supporters for doing the same thing that Republicans are obviously doing. They aren't even pretending to be subtle about it. Why shouldn't the Democrats fight fire with fire?
The Supreme Court prevented us from having a transparent democracy. And now they're going to draw the redistricting map of Texas...Scary, to say the least.
When you win elections in redistricting years, you get to draw the map. Isn't that what Obama said, "We won" get over it?
ITM,
Very true except there are Federal laws that must be followed - TX isn't following the law is the claim so now the court must decide.
Don't you like courts?
Hence " The Rule of Nine" The President has no real power, Congress is deadlocked, someone has to govern - George Bush's Supreme Court. Note: Don't be to sure they will always vote right or left!
Tom Delay's on Line 2. He's ready to give that "draw the map" thing another go.
$7 million is nothing......wait till Obama starts spending his war chest
For some reason, everytime I read one of these articles, I keep hearing the Pacman song in my head, and it always end with that noise you hear when the Pacman finally gets caught.
Just heard the new song......."When Mitt Came To Town"
It's about a sociopath corporatist vampire, that drains money and unloads carcasses
The libs are whining about the 7 million Romney's super PAC spent but don't care about the $4 Million the of taxpayer Money the Obama's spent spending the holidays in Hawaii. Figures!
Duane---what is your source for the cost of the Obama family's trip to Hawaii?

Also has photos.........how about those Broncos
I wish the Broncos luck against New England--they will need it.
To me it is a sad fact of life in our country today that the security requirements for any President require separate transportation and accommodations when he and his family travel. This costs money. Even though George Bush took many more vacations than President Obama, I never begrudged the cost of providing for his and his family's security. I don't see why every vacation the President takes has to be accompanied by this silliness.
Was a natural response for me.....have cousins in Pa
They beat the Pats I may start believing in miracles......
SF, Bush took his vacations at his own ranch in Texas. Obama takes vacations in Hawaii and Martha's Vineyard to hang out with his fellow 1%ers. Which do you think cost the tax payers more? Security hanging out with the 1%ers or a 1,600 acre ranch? My guess is security staying in beach front hotels in Hawaii cost a little more than a hotel in Crawford, Texas
I can not believe the RWNJ's are still obsessing over vacations... lol
Hey Rocco - chew on this!
Now go back to bitching about teleprompters will ya? lol
Feisty,
Don’t forget every one of those 77 trips (on average 1 every 5 weeks) caused additional cost to local authorities plus all the set up and tear down of all the top secret communications equipment.
Then there were all the meetings with his staff – what was the cost of transportation, boarding and food for them?
Did he bring the WH staff including cleaning and kitchen – a lot of staff and security people to take care of?
Right?
Looks like this is what the right wants to focus on, rather than the flawed candidates they are offering up! lol
This is just the gravey........the main course is Obama's own record.
Huffington Post......remember them???? They are a little obcessed with it also.......#11.2
Hard to believe that so many people think that Obama's policies are helping!
He's even worse than bush! What are people smoking when they can think that our economy has turned the corner? We've got one more shoe to drop people!!
you don't have so sound so excited about it.
I wish you people would realize that the isn't about left vs right!
Both sides are working for the corporations.
Ron Paul is the only one that isn't bought and paid for!
"...Money,
it's a gas.
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash..."
(Roger Waters)
He sure did too.......Waters made millions. And deservered every bit of it. Great show!!
Romney had an affair with his hair stylist a number of years ago...don't believe me? then try to prove me wrong. If you can't, then my statement becomes unquestionable fact.
Both sides are going to spend enourmous amounts of money to win this election. Instead of using it to create jobs or feed the poor these rich guys and some of their greedy backers will spend as much as they can to make it happen.
Yes, Obama has super pacs working for him too. Why not? You gotta fight fire with fire. The difference here is that the GOPacs are spending so much on primaries and causcuses while Obama PACs are raking in the money for the November battle.
No one should complain as we have allowed this to happen.
Romney is a predator who loots workers pension funds and then the business go's bankrupt ...This guy is scum..and doesn't deserve to be president ! The peoples biggest fears are he will get in and loot the social security and the medicare funds and split the profits with his other wealthy friends...leaving the seniors of the USA broke ...Just another Washington politician ! His father George would be so ashamed of his son ....its just sad ! He dad was a great man !
obvious you have never done any research in to Bain Capital and Romney's record while a partner. Even most DNC analyst say there is nothing there and he did a good job. Need proof.......watch how fast this issue goes away. Morning Joe even had Democrats on the show this morning stating the same.
This is why democrat must support President Obama! The rich are funding Romney's and Super PAC!!
And Obama's Wall Street masters are funding his.
the unions are also Obama's big gravey train.....,..$$$Millions and foot soldiers both. They are PACs also.
Trying his best to buy the presidency...
And Obama is going to spend even more than he did in 2008 in an attempt to stay in the White House!
Agreed! Democrats must support Obama! He hasn't finished what he started: destroying civil liberties, out of control spending, and just to think, the police state hasn't even really got going! Next on the docket, financial collapse and hyperinflation!
Police state??
It wasn't Obama that ordered (illegally) that every register of every phone call made in this country be turned over to the F.B.I. Did you miss it when Bush did that? Did you miss it when he ordered that any international call could be listened to? Did you miss it when Bush ordered that anybody suspected of terrorism could be detained indefinitely - even some citizens - without lawyers. Did you miss it when Cheney joked that a little water (referring to water boarding) was a no brainer? Did you miss that? Do you watch/ read the news? Bush should have been impeached for outright defiance of the constitution. Obama has restored some semblance of constitutional rights. He should more but there was alot to undo.
JaeE: Just think what you'll be saying in two or three months when you and your republicans will be put to the test and you're going to see major cuts across the board. Included in there will be defense and social programs just be ready to eat your peas hahahahaha.
About this SuperPac thing!!! I have no problem with it really!!! I know their will be democrats and republicans going toe to toe fighting for a chance to run this country in the direction they want it or think it should go. So I'll say "Game On ladies and gentlmen!
This is not shocking at all America! This number is still very low, and the "Romulian's" Wall Street "Donors" have a lot to give. His old economic "Buddies" at Bain the "PAiN" Capitial are spending money on the "Romulian" at a record pace. That is fact!
Just goes to show, "Money does buy happiness." He'll manage to buy the election some way or another. Time for election reform, do away with these PAC's.
Of the current crop of Republican contenders, Jon Huntsman is the only one who doesn't appear to be PANDERING to the tea party extremists. He is articulate, intelligent& moderate. Very refreshing , it reminds me of what Republicans used to be. I hope he does good in South Carolina.
