The press flocks to Ohio

From NBC's Patrice Fletcher
COLUMBUS, OH -- Some facts about media coverage in this key battleground state. Per Mary Webster, the assistant director of the Columbus' public services, they have had 35 requests for media parking permits -- which beats the record of 13 in the 2004 presidential election. That is 35 requests from 20 media organizations for satellite truck spaces. Meanwhile, the Ohio GOP has had more than 40 media requests for its election night party, and the state Democratic Party has requests from 67 outlets for its own party.

Many real time blog reports of irregularities in Ohio. What are reporters seeing at polling places in Franklin, Cuyahoga and Hamilton Counties?
Think of all the Ohio GOPers with ethical problems: Tom "I steal money from Ohio workers and funnel it to George Bush" Noe, whose wife Bernadette ran the Warren County elections commission for the 2004 election. Remember the "terrorist threat" that forced them to lock down the building and keep any media out during the counting? Right, that's when they stole Ohio. Governor Bob Taft, complicit in the Noe theft and also convicted of not reporting golf games. A small crime, but likely just the tip of the icebert. Deborah Pryce? Right, she turned a blind eye to the ring of child predators operating in the highest echelons of the Washington GOP establishment. DeWine? Just a Bush lackey who lies through his teeth and needs to be handed a stiff defeat. Ken Blackwell? Classic Uncle Tom Fascist wannabe. Suppressed the Democratic vote in 2004 by not providing enough voting machines thereby creating 10-hour waits in Democratic precincts. Refused to count tens of thousands of legitimate provisional ballots. Ohio, wake up and throw these Fascists out. Their time of reckoning is upon them; it's a good thing Halliburton is building all of those concentration camps here in America; we're going to need a place to put all the Fascist thugs (Halliburton management included).
Not surpised
I agree with Jamie of Boston
Voters across America! Report voter suppression and get the media involved. Take your cellcam to the booth with you, ready to record your vote being flipped. Take back America!
Jamie from Boston is right on
You know they won't throw the Facists out, since they work for the GOP. I have no doubt that they will steal State again, by any means possible. Hopefully, the presence of the Media might put some fear into them.
I live in Ohio and agree with Jamie in Boston. Believe me - we in Ohio are doing our level best to throw the bums out! Go Strickland; Go Sherrod; Go Dems!
If the Fascists retain their ill-gotten hold on power in this nation, then the time for the second American revolution will be upon us. One definition of tyranny is when absolute power is vested in one leader. With the executive branch and both houses of Congress in the hands of the GOP, we can all see the damage that has been wrought on our nation. Think of a canoe with everyone sitting on the right side: it will capsize and sink, just like our nation has capsized and is sinking. If we don't put some weight on the left side of the canoe that is our country, then the America we all love will forever be lost. The corporate media does what it can to provide cover for the GOP by failing to contextualize the news, by failing to explain the impact of their decisions, and by intentionally failing to connect the dots with respect to premeditated crimes. The Iraq war was planned for years prior to 9/11, and the "intelligence" used to scare Americans into supporting this illegal and immoral war was manufactured by forces sympathetic to the cause. Yet the media constantly reminds Americans that the Democrats don't have a "united message" or solution for Iraq. How about this: We will ratify the International Criminal Court and turn the entire Bush cabal over to stand trial for war crimes. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, Wolfowitz, Perle, et al have the blood of almost 3,000 American troops on their hands, as well as somewhere between 100,000 and 700,000 Iraqis blood, nearly 25,000 injured American soldiers, and almost $300,000,000,000 in looted American treasure. We as Americans who have been wronged by these Fascist thugs are demanding retribution and accountability for these crimes. The entire administration as well as its legislative enablers are currently guilty of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the Constitution, and they should be tried and punished thusly. It's time to organize a massive march on Washington and to lay siege to the levers of OUR government. Let's remind these Fascsists that WE are the people, that WE demand to be heard, and that WE will demand legitimacy and lawfulness from our ostensibly elected leaders. The Bush administration has repeatdly shown a brazen contempt for the will of the people, and I think the time has come to show them, with force, what brazen contempt can look like. Do we really care so little about our country that we're no longer willing to fight for it? Let's rise up and throw the bums out.
Let us see who the brilliant people are in two years. Mark this information down: Unemployment for October 2006 is 4.4%; Consumer Price Index is 202.9, and the inflation rate for September was 2.06%. People want a change from that? I will take that information any month of the year.
Mike in Dayton, you must have a job. Explain that to the people who lost jobs at Lexus, Ford, or any of the other large factories in Dayton.
I just hope the people of Ohio vote out Jean Schmidt. Then she can get on her broom and fly off into the sunset.
I find it interesting that 6 of the 11 comments about voting in Ohio are from people outside of the state. I am in the military serving in Colorado but am still registed to vote in Ohio and have done so via absentee ballot. Go throw bricks at your own state!
