'Dirty tricks' in Jersey?

Posted: Tuesday, November 07, 2006 8:53 AM by Alan Boyle

From NBC's Ron Allen
In New Jersey's senatorial campaign, Republican candidate Tom Kean Jr.'s aides are charging that opponents "already have resorted to Election Day dirty tricks."

Last night, vandals chained shut the Kean campaign's headquarters in Mountainside, N.J., and broke keys off in the door locks to prevent entry, according to aides. "It's Jersey ... this is not surprising," Kean spokeswoman Jill Hazelbaker told us. "It's the Menendez campaign, or their supporters," she added, but without offering evidence.

"It's just a lot of noise," was the response from campaign aides for Democratic incumbent Bob Menendez. They say they have "thousands" of lawyers at polling places across the site, especially where they expect problems - such as Essex and Hudson County, two big urban Democratic areas.

Menendez's folks are checking out a report of electronic voting problems in Essex County, where voting machines are reportedly defaulting to certain candidates rather than voters' choices. Whatever is happening there, they say that the problems don't appear to be widespread and that right now the voting process is "basically smooth."

Bitchin' and moanin' is NOT a policy....so, to all you leftist criminals who support Menendez and the Jersey way of doin' business - NJ is terminally corrupt and will tax itself to death.
Thank goodness I live in Wyoming where the only "mud" we throw is off our tires!
Irks me that someone who wishes to represent me then proceeds to reinforce negative stereotypes about the very state he wants to be elected by. Oddly enough I don't know any mobsters and I've lived in NJ for over 20 years now! I voted this morning and none of the votes on my machine were preset - perhaps people think they voted and left the booth and the next person walks in to find the last votes not submitted. Also maybe on top of that the poll workers don't know what they are doing to make sure everything is reset??? Not sure if that is a viable scenario, but sometimes a simple explanation is the best one.
By the way MSNBC, from reading the comments on this news piece, your subscribers/listeners are all socialists and liberals.......and so misinformed. We are at war with Islamic Radicals who want only to kill us. They are everywhere and we need to remove them from the face of the earth. Quit your liberal, washed up 60's protesting on support your country in finding and killing all of these animals. We will not have the freedom or opportunity to debate social issues that divide us if we don't stop these maniacs from killing us and eliminating our way of life.
For all the pontificating that is underway in this comments section I am truly worried about the state of our educational system. The spelling in the comments shows an inherent weakness in at least 2 of the three R's in education. Excuse me, but your ignorance is showing and I must ask how deeply it goes. And just in the way of governmental lesson, we are a democratic REPLUBLIC, not a democracy. I wince at those who show how much TV they watch through the mimicry of the mainstream news instead of finding out the truth and using their brains to actually do some intellectual thinking.
you gotta love election day
Political affiliations aside, the Kean Family has offered and sacrificed much for the state of New Jersey. It is grossly irresponsible that a staff member for the Kean campaign would make such a disparaging and thoughtless comment about New Jersey and other candidates supporters. Ms. Hazelbaker has done a disservice to New Jersey and to the entire Kean family.

Sounds like you have been watching to many Ron White Comedy specials....."I didn't want to be drunk in REPLUBLIC....I wanted to be drunk in a bar!!"
It can frequently get strenuous to separate the insightful  aroma products facts from the abominable.
