Edwards is in -- via YouTube

From NBC's Elizabeth Wilner
Former Sen. John Edwards (D) told NBC's Matt Lauer on TODAY this morning that he's running for president to urge people to take action to change things and make the country better. He rejected the suggestion that his lack of foreign policy experience will be a problem, arguing that the current Administration has a wealth of foreign policy experience and it hasn't helped them figure out what to do about Iraq. And he repeated his earlier repudiation of his vote in favor of the war.

In an e-mail sent to supporters overnight, Edwards emphasized a new approach he's taking in this second attempt to win the presidency: posting video clips of himself on YouTube as he goes about his campaign in an effort to let supporters get a look at him that's unfiltered by the media. One emerging theme of Edwards' is that he spent too much time during his first campaign listening to his paid consultants tell him what to do and say, and not enough time letting people see the real him. This is evident even in Edwards' statement yesterday about the passing of President Gerald Ford: "President Ford once said, 'At times it feels as if American politics consists largely of candidates without ideas, hiring consultants without convictions, to stage campaigns without content… It doesn't have to be this way.' He was right."

It's a theme that could serve Edwards well if he has to campaign for the Democratic nomination against "real, unvarnished" Barack Obama -- and against Sen. Hillary Clinton, who seems to strike some voters as too cautious and politically calculating. From New Orleans, Edwards sets off on a series of town halls in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

Go John!!! What a relief to know someone really cares about AMERICA!!!!!!!! and truly wants change and improvement for this country that has been worn down by the rich in political control. Thank you John for standing tall!!
Al, You are correct. Certainly noone should ever be elected president based on good looks. Nor should their good looks be held against them. Many people thought JFK was a very handsome man...and a great President.[as well as many others] I would never consider that a reason to elect anyone to any position and I give my fellow Americans the same credit. By the way, Mr. Obama is also a nice looking man, should he not be considered? Larry, There is a vast difference between John Edwards and Jimmy Carter. John is by no means soft, whiney, or out just to make you feel good.[although you are certainly entitled to your own opinion] Neither is he a peanut farmer who left the farm just long enough to be President. I would never have voted for Jimmy Carter, although he is a good man/humanitarian, because he does not possess the abilities John Edwards has. John has all the qualities of a great leader, when a leader is what we need, and the smarts to make it all happen.
Well, John Edwards is correct about one thing, decades of foreign policy experience have apparently not assisted the Bush regime from the massive military blunder known as the War in Iraq. The usual GOP operatives will begin immediately to demonize Edwards, portray him as a "traitor" and the rest of the hatemongering that failed so miserably November 7, 2006. The last thing America needs is remnants of this miserable "administration" nor clones (Sen. Mc Cain) of it either....in 2009. I wish Senator Edwards the best of luck, and fortunately he knows exactly what a viper's nest of hate he has entered, having endured that despicable behavior in 2004.
Larry, go back to studying the Bible and thinking Charles Darwin is the devil. Kansas, aside, we've had a guy who stood up and made tough chices. The problem is, all the choices were wrong. Being strong doesn't mean someone who is unyielding and resolute. Strong means being able to make tough choices, accepting responsibility for those choices, not blaming someone else for mistakes and being able to admit when mistakes were made. We haven't had a President like that since Franklin Roosevelt. Therein lays the problem: he once said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." Now we have a President who wants us to fear everyone and everthing which is not in agreement with him. Sorry, that's not strength. It's more like being tough to mask his insecurity and inadequacies. When people stop being afraid, inconsequential men like George Bush will not be able to lead the greatest nation on earth.
Hey larry - how's that banning of evolution thing going? (And when did you ever hear Jimmy Carter "whine"? Did he call you one night?)
Larry: the last time a president did something he believed was "the right thing to do," we sent troops into Iraq. Its time we get an honest, upfront president who's more concerned about poor and struggling Americans than his own "legacy." I too believe an Edwards-Obama ticket would be terrific because it would bring someone into the office who isn't there just for his own glory and because it would give Obama the experience he needs so badly to become president himself. I believe both men would be wonderful in the office, but Obama needs some more concrete plans and ideas first.
I will vote for John Edwards and he is very nice normal guy, except his good looks. I like his story of son who died by accident years ago. I too believe an Edwars-Obama ticket would be great.
I've been a life-long conservative, but on more than one occasion have voted for liberal candidates whose ideas, background, and political resume have made them the best choice in my estimation. This is certainly the case with John Edwards. In fact, I've yet to see any Democratic candidate who would cause such a significant crossover of Republicans as Edwards. As for tagging Obama as the VP, it would likely make that "Dream Team" ticket win by the largest margin ever - unless, of course, the Republicans come up with an even better duo. Frankly, given the baggage virtually all GOP possibilities carry, I think that's highly unlikely. Unless something changes drastically in the race, Edwards and ? will get my vote in a little less than two years.
Thank you Montagard Forugrad; Dover, DE. You wrote exactly what I have been thinking reading some of these blogs. Why do we need a "bully" in the White House? The tone of some of the writers, and a very small percentage, is one of hate and the unwillingness to join together with all people, even when we agree to disagree, and make the United States and the largest percentage of people who live here, happy again.
Let's make something perfectly clear. Edwards didn't lose NC in '04. Kerry did. Edwards won the primary even after he dropped out of the race. Make no mistake - Edwards appeals to the left and the middle. He will win if given the chance.
I am thrilled! John Edwards is the candidate that I voted for in the Democratic primary in '04. This is a man that has vision and that I sincerely believe will do his very best to make decisions that is in the best interest of our country. That is what this country is so hungary for.
A note on an Edwards / Obama ticket, I don't see it happening. I think it would be redundant. Both Edwards and Obama project a "can-do" optimism, and seem to talk about a less partisan state of politics. I think they have similar respective strengths, and similar weaknesses (the experience question). Unlike Kerry/Edwards where Edwards was supposed to bring the charisma and empathy, both Obama and Edwards have charisma to burn. It will ultimately turn on a question of who is more likely to get elected, and who is able to withstand the republican negative campaign onslaught. In that regard, Edwards has a campaign experience edge over Obama. Anyone who spent 3 months defending John Kerry has got to be wiser for the experience.
I have just watched a film titled "AMERICA, FREEDOM to FACISM" and highly recommend everyone to have a look. It is not a conspiracy documentary. I was very surprised to learn that our Federal Reserve is privately owned by the fat cats. If John Edwards can restore the Federal Reserve back to the people, he has my vote. The National debt will disappear along with taxes. John Edwards and Obama would be a dream team!!
Hi Joe from N.Y., When it comes to electing a President, and we need a really good one at this point in time, I don't think I'll consider who can raise the most money in my decision. About Edwards losing to Bush in the last election, I say we take another vote...right now, today. I don't think you would get the same result. Also remember, Edwards doesn't have Kerry in his way this time. That's surely what spoiled it for most of his NC voters last time.
I started to dread the upcoming onslaught of career politicians that would be vying for the Democratic nomination. As a bit of profile, I was a life-long Republican that had had enough of the elitist attitude and sneaky ways of the Republican party from negative campaigning, campaign slurring, etc. during the Kennedy, Nixon, Bush eras. Therefore, during Bill Clinton's 2nd term, I made up my mind to change my party affiliation to the Democratic side. I was very excited when John Edwards joined the primary race! How novel - a fresh face with fresh ideas to turn things around and make Amercia strong and accountable once again. I regretted that the DNC nominated John Kerry, but saw a bit of hope with John Edwards as his running mate. Alas, no one was fooled by the Kerry/Edwards ticket and the loss was felt all across the nation. I am so excited that John Edwards has chosen to run again! Since when was "experience" the criteria for running? I have always felt Mr. Edwards roots will be a reminder of the goals he has for this country. He brings vision and has our country's best interests at heart. You GO John Edwards! Where can I sign up to help get you elected???
I want to see the next leader of this great nation be someone who will restore this country to what it once was. A leader who will bring back the jobs that have been lost to outsourcing to other countries. A leader who will bring the factories back to AMERICA. I am sick of so many items made in china. A leader who will work to make it so many Americans can afford to live and not just scrape by because they decide to go without the perscriptions or eating or some other necessity. Bring OUR TROOPS HOME. We can not save the world or suppport the world or even police the world. Get all illegals out of America. If they can not come into this country the legal way they do not belong here. Make the criminals pay for their crimes. There is a lot to be done to bring this country back to where we should be and to fix the disaster that we have now. Is John the right man?? We shall see. Show us your plans. Pay your debts like an honest hard working American should. We need a leader who will be strong as well as compasionate. for all AMERICANS FIRST and then the rest of the world. Get America out of debt. Stop supporting other countries and making their leaders rich. As the saying goes clean up your own backyard before you try to tell others how to clean theirs.
Larry, you screamed out, "FIND SOMEONE TOUGH AND WILLING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT NOT WHAT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL GOOD!" Well, I think everything Bush has done is wrong and it makes me sick and angry to even think about it. That he dropped the search for bin Laden to go after Saddam was wrong. That he used lies to justify the invasion of Iraq was wrong. That he botched the occupation is wrong. That he didn't provide the best armor to protect our troops from the very start is wrong. That he is ignoring global warming is wrong. That he is ignoring the billions of dollars that are unaccounted for in the reconstruction of Iraq is wrong. That he is ignoring the billions of dollars that are unaccounted for in the reconstruction of New Orleans is wrong. That he allowed the budget deficit to explode is wrong. That he ignored the contributions to 9/11 by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is wrong. That he set up the gulag at Gitmo is wrong. That he conducts wiretaps without consulting the courts is wrong (especially since he can consult after the fact). His building of a costly and disfunctional antimissile system is wrong. His desire to privatize social security is wrong. I could go on, but you get the idea. I feel insecure, angry, frustrated, abused, sick, and outraged. Now, about his being tough. Aren't you confusing toughness with pigheadedness? If you voted for Bush, you didn't get what you wanted.
Why do you have a bunch of babies as your anchors??? Like I care what they think about politics??
If I knew voting for Hillary would get us a Bill Clinton type presidency, I would go for Hillary. That kind of two for one deal doesn't happen often. Imagine if we could have Bill in there for eight more years! The best prez since JFK. And not hampered by a Republican led congress continuously starting fires for them to put out instead of running the country. A team like that could just about shovel up the mess Bush has made all over the planet. I would vote for Edwards over any Republican now on the radar screen, but I'm not sure this board today reflects much red state sentiment, or even a majority of blue state sentiment. He needs to go way further into what he has planned for this country and what he's about. The fact that so many respondants were pleasently surprised to learn he was running makes me wonder how much you know about him except his initial curb appeal. He could be part of the Democrats' driving genius for losing elections. I feel if there's a way possible to lose to Giuliani or McCain, the Dems will find it. What have we got going to counter the Republicans formidable dirty tricks department? The people who own America, whom Larry Joens, above, refers to as "fat cats", could suprise us with their capicity and willingness to explore the depths of human tawdriness, as was demonstrated in 2002.
Now we have the big three and I think the democrats can be proud that we have three leaders who bring different qualities and stregnths that can benefit the country, and prove valuable in the campaign. I am most excited that Edwards has returned to the top tier of the pack, with Hillary and Obama. Of these three, I think he has the most to offer, in terms of experience, compassion, relating to the middle class person and I will be supporting him enthusiastically and looking to find my role in his campaign proudly. He is in my view, the best candidate the democrats have had to offer since JFK, and I think they rather foolishly turned over the keys to the brass ring to the wrong man in 2004. In Edwards, we can be proud that we have a well experience, sincere, well qualified, people person family man to support. That's the ticket for Dem's in 2008. Put Obama on the ticket, which reading these blogs seems almost to be a unanimous consensus, and how can the Democrats loose. Obama will be class to the Vice Presidency and play a vital role in and Edwards administration. Man, I like the sound of that. Let's go make it happen guys, starting today. We got two formidable candidates on our hands, and can't be complacent. By the way, if you haven't checked it out, look at his oneamericaommitte web site. It's trend setting in presidential political and could hardly be improved. You'll come to respect our man's qualities even more, and be inspired that there are still such decent politicians in our country whose greatest gift is hope and the knowledge that we got work to do and together we can get it done. Let's go do it guys, we got our work cut out for us, but it's very doable.
John Edwards is the right man for the job, and I like Joseph Biden also. How about an Edwards/Biden ticket? Both men are independent thinkers who have a lot of common sense. Biden has been speaking out about getting our troops home for over a year. John Edwards is correct when he speaks about the "two Americas." I think the two of them would help turn our country around. I also think Hillary and Obama can't get elected, even though both are good people. I just want the Democrats to get behind someone who could win in the presidential election. Edwards is the man.
John Edwards has a date with destiny. He possesses a vision of an America where a return to the pedestal of worldly respect is paramount. John wants to even the playing field for hard working Americans helping them achieve their American Dream. John Edwards will successfully reinvent his push towards the White House. He has a date with destiny.
Hillary is calculating. she is also despised as much on the left as on the right. I am not a supporter of Edwards but, wish him luck. I think his supporters are a little too fanzine but, let them have thier fun.
I just saw Jamie from Illinois. Had to comment. We all here in Illinois support our senator. He has been a fabulous senator. His record is quite impressive and has done alot in the senate. Let's hope he runs.
John Edwards will win the Democratic nomination in '08. He'll be the first Democrat since former V.P. Mondale (also a failed V.P. nominee in the previous election of '80) in 1984 to win the nomination while in private life. Sen. Obama is a SuperNova, and SuperNovas burn out. Sen. Clinton will, indeed, win the N.Y. primary, and others (i.e. Maryland), but won't be nominated. To be crass about it, the U.S. elected GWB in '04, and isn't about to turn aound and elect a woman or an inexperienced black person in '08. Dems sense this---they'll want a winner in '08, and they'll nominate Edwards.
To Peter, from Pittsburgh, Pa. As for those "unaccounted-for billions" from the various disasters, how does the hint "in the pockets of the same elitists who started one and ignored the other" strike you? Cheney is collecting millions from Halliburton and I do not believe for a moment that it is all from "work previously done and not paid for", it is for providing those no-bid contracts that have allowed some of those billions to be unaccounted for. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, bush, and the rest of the current excuse for an administration will leave office multiple, multiple millions richer than when they took office. Where did it come from? Where do you think? Proof of this statement at the moment? I have none, but public records released after others with similar (NO ONE will ever top bush & co. for corruption.) sneaky, closed-door administrations have all shown a TREMENDOUS increase in their personal wealth immediately upon leaving. I would like to how how a person increases their money exponentially if they pick up any of the costs they claim to, on salaries that are public knowledge. bush ahs failed miserably at everything he has turned his hand to and I will still bet he leaves office a billionaire or close to it. I would like to see a great change in the way one very important thing is done. I want to see these pensions STOPPED for these ex government employees who are convicted of crimes or have to resign in disgrace. I find it insulting that anyone in the working class would have their financial situation severely changed if they were caught doing wrong but politicians can get away with anything and still have a life-long wallow at the public trough.
The reason you see such "hate" is because it is a reflection of the souless hate mongers adn despicable war criminals we have in the White House. Does my "blog hate" bother you more than the slaughter we unleashed in Iraq for VERY questionable reasons? And we already have the "Bully in the White House." He's been neglecting US security while plundering for Halliburton. PS - I don't feel even a little guilty about calling BushCo the murderous blackhearts that they are.
Hey, message to all you Bush haters out there. HE CANNOT RUN AGAIN. The Dems better come up with some kind of a candidate with some sort of an idea on what he stands for, or he will lose big to Romney or McCain. As for you conspiracy people always yelling about Haliburton and such, look who Pelosi is picking for the top jobs in Congress. Face it people, politics is about money, always has been, always will be.
"PRAISE THE LORD" for 8 year terms. Yes, Dan your right about that. BUT, if we keep the mind set that politics is about money, always has been, always will be. Then they have won. I believe with the technology we have at our hands today with the internet, the people can take control of America again. There is the old adage...There is power in numbers. Have you noticed how cockroaches run and hide when they are exposed to the light? We must challenge our elected leaders to walk the straight and narrow or end up on youtube.
Fee, fi, foe, fum - I smell the blood of a Republican.
Edwards...oh no..what shall he do?? he doesnt have daddy Kerry anymore which means he might actually have to answer a question without saying... "Well..John Kerry and I...." Can he do it..doubt it...who is going to hold his hand?? I hope this country doesnt vote democrat...if we did that we might as well hand ourselves to terrorism...and all that liberal...love you love me view...GOD HELP US....good thing we still have Republicans!
Sorry Dan - you're right again. There is NO evidence* that Halliburton is making any money from this Iraq adventure. That's just my crazy "conspiracy" nonsense. Thanks for the balance. BTW - the cancer known as "Bush" is a medical condition not limited to the retarded monkey himself - many have it and could run for president. ....(*unless you can read!)
Only one thing to say: Edwards & Obama, this is the winning ticket. There is not a more attractive duo. The republicans do not have the personalities to match Edwards & Obama.
John who? So What.
Regarding John Edwards' current comfortable circumstances...it's an unfortunate truth that, even after campaign financing laws and others that supposedly level the playing field, the only people who really have the time, money, and know-how to go out and mount political campaigns (at least, for major offices) are those who are affluent. People of modest means who have to go to work every day would find coming up with both time and money difficult. And, back to Edwards, he did have humble beginnings, so he wasn't always so well-off. As long as Edwards keeps the "two Americas" idea as part of his political stance, he will be a decent candidate for all people. It's too early for me to make a decision because we don't know yet who else will be running--but I like what I've seen. Some have suggested an Edwards/Obama ticket--that sounds good. And kudos to Edwards for choosing New Orleans as the place to kick off his campaign.
Hello all I hope everyone is doing well. The more I have thought about John Edwards the more I like the idea of him running for President. More important we as Americans need to stop being hateful to each other just because we are Democrats or Republicans. All Americans need to pull together and quit being pulled in by negative campaigns. We have gotten to the point that we are hostile to each other instead of being proud Americans. I think that they should make it illegal to run Swift Boat type campaigns. Let’s face it if they have to win races by making their opponents villains that should mean they can’t run on their own good merits. How many of us are proud to be Americans right now? We need to pull together and stop the partisan rhetoric and vote for the best candidate instead of who has an R or a D by their name on the ballots. Americans need to come together and demand honest politicians. Excuse me if I just used an oxymoron though we should demand that politicians lead by example instead of empty promises. Our children should be able to look up to these woman and men in public office and not hear about a bunch of scandals. We as Americans have lost our personality and our pride and we need to get it back. There will always be corrupt public officials but it would be nice to make them the exception instead of the rule. Thanks for reading.
Time is marching on and some must we the people. We must begin to start our honest search for our next leader and not depend on those who believe they are the right ones. This country has been at the hand of those who has the less to lose and therefore leave very little in way of substance for the future and our youth. When will we wake up and take back what was not a perfect dream to begin with and start all over again for a true method to make our country alive and well for the first time.
Fight On John, We need someone in the highest office to fight for the poor and needy. It is only then that this country can reach its full potential. A potential so lacking now.
I cannot believe some of these statements that I have read about name calling a such. Look at the facts before you talk about someone. Look who has run this Country for the past 50 or so years and tell me that it hasn't been going down hill since the 50's. You call Bush a murderous backheart when we the people have been allowing doctors to kill innocent unborn babies for years in the name of choice. A bunch of you want to sugar coat real with names like fetus, abortion and choice. I and everyone else in the world makes choices everyday. It is all just a legal way to get away with murder. Some of these same people that want this choice harp about the way we put people to death in our prisons. Well at least they had a chance in our society to prove themselves as hard working citzens and didn't. Now you want them to be treated better than the men and women that was accused of mistreating those cowards called terroist. John Edwards is not going to be our savior. We put him to death over 2000 years ago. Oh, But lets not talk about that either, right. We took control out of our schools and have tied our teachers hands on keeping our children in line. John will probably do good in the polls only because of the liberal media portrays everything that republicans do as bad and whatever democrats do as ok. Look at when clinton was in the highest office and all the media could say was does character really count. As soon as he was out and Bush was in that is all they talk about was he character. We need to quit giving all our hard earned money to illegals and lazy people that don't try to earn their keep. Also anyone that is against the consitution and waves any other flag around like it is above the US Flag should be thrown out.
Amy in Vermont, I'm awaiting the Congressional Investigations. What really drives me crazy is that in addition to the unaccounted for billions going into the pockets of the well-to-do, the tax cuts allow them to keep more of what they "make" (or steal or defraud, maybe a better word is "get"). All this while the numbers of uninsured, homeless, and hungry skyrocket. And, some people want to call this a "Christian Country." It is beyond disgusting.
Happy New Year Coalition Members. It happened, many incumbents got voted out of office in the November election! It proved the people are still sovereign as the Constitution provides. At least we have some balance of power now in Congress. But the work isn't over. Many Democratic and Republican Congressmen are ignoring what the vast majority of Americans want. They represent Corporate America, especially mult-national corporations that through lobbyists, buy the loyalty of congressmen and get the laws they want. Remember Nafta, Cafta and Shafta! Are opportunities for our descendants getting better? Through normal caucuses and elective procedure it seems that the will of the people is lost. The Constitution was not set up this way - the Sovereign in a Republic is supposed the will of the citizens and the Congressional law is supposed to represent that will. The Coalition, CMCL, thinks the only way to restore a government of, by and for the people by use of the internet. The CMCL believes that the news services are restrained. The only person in the media that is diligently reporting the effects of offshoring jobs through corporate welfare and subsidy, the destructive effects of permitted Illegal Immigration and the intended failure to protect our borders is Lou Dobbs on CNN. What can we do about it? VOTE. How? Promise Congressmen that if they fail to legislate to preserve the quality and safety of the United States, they will be in office only one term. The Internet provides the freedom to convey information we generally don't get through the news services. With complete news through the internet, voters can restore integrity to Congress, change the contaminated elective process where m oney buys loyalty and Congressmen ping pong between government and industry. Fear of loss of elections and fairly balanced competition through nationally controlled elections would restore honesty to the system. It wouldn't hurt, either, to get Congress to remove the hurdles they have erected making it nearly impossible to have any other parties have a voice. Other news: It is obvious that many corporations and therefore many Congressmen and the Administration wish to dismantle Social Security and Medicare. Why? They don't want to pay anything. It's not enough that many multinational corporations pay no taxes, they feel they have no social responsibility either. The latest - a bill being proposed now, will give Illegal Immigrants the rights to Social Security if they have worked here 1 and 1/2 years, regardless if they have stolen the identity of someone else, or used a forged SS card! For we legal citizens to qualify we get benefits based on the average of 40 quarters or ten employment years at retirement. Finally, the plan to open the borders of Canada, US and Mexico and eventually all of North and South America, with free flow of labor and a new currency has has exposure nationally through Lou Dobbs, This is a continuation of a plan to eventually combine North and South America into open borders for a 2 continent labor pool and adopt a new currency for all countries. Also it would combine social safety nets (if there are any). This information was reported by a Senior Citizen group who sued under the Freedom of Information Act and was finally revealed after three years of litigation. The plans were being made by the Council on Foreign Relations. Guess who would benefit? These things mentioned today pose a serious threat to at least middle-income America, and especially to the future of our descendants. As citizens are learning of them, more are voting. That's good! The internet allows the CMCL and other groups to provide information the news services aren't providing. Congress is unlikely to seriously address most of their flaws. As in the past, they will talk about it only as campaign rhetoric. An alerted public who are concerned about their descendants need to make Congressmen concerned about their jobs through our votes. When we are successful in Making Congress Listen about problems listed here, we can get the tainted election process changed from Lobbyists vote to the popular vote by nationalizing the election process. If you are concerned about these things, please forward this information on to people on your address lists. Best wishes, The Coalition to Make Congress Listen
John Edwards is not a "Corporate Lawyer" - that I could probably forgive - he's an ambulance chasing trial lawyer, who hit the jackpot by making specious and highly questionable claims on behalf of his clients. He has never made nor produced anything. And if anyone should know about 2 Americas, it would be Edwards, who would probably be the richest man ever elected to the White House. Why doesn't he "give" a little of that fortune away? That might make all of his 2 Americas rhetoric seem at least a little bit genuine. And before you jump on his bandwagen, please find and listen to his Tim Russert interview. His inability to explain his various positions - and the timing of those positions - on Iraq is pretty illuminating. But even more telling - and certaining far more amusing - is the internet video of Edwards spending about 10 minutes "fixing" his hair. I'm sure it would get his some votes on Castro Street in San Francisco, but he'd better hope it never surfaces in Iowa.
I think that John Edwards is the best politician out there at this time. Seems to have less garbage than the rest.
I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE THAT PUT HIS OWN AMBITIONS BEFORE HIS FAMILY!! I DON'T CARE THAT HIS WIFE WANTS HIM TO CONTINUE, MAYBE SHE SHOULD STAND BACK AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT REALLY MATTERS IN LIFE. SHE SHOULD BE WITH HER CHILDREN TOTALLY AND GIVING THEM THE MEMORIES THAT THEY WILL CARRY INTO THEIR LIVES. I LOST MY MOTHER AT THE AGE OF TWELVE YEARS FROM CANCER AND I CAN TELL YOU THOSE LAST TWO YEARS OF HER LIFE WERE WHAT I REMEMBER. SHE WAS VERY WEAK AND NEEDED HER FAMILY 100%. EDWARDS WILL NEVER BE THERE FOR HER AND THE CHILDREN AT THE END---HOW COULD HE? THIS IS A MAN THAT THINKS THE COUNTRY WON'T GO ON WITHOUT HIM----HOW MANY FOOLS HAVE THOUGHT THAT ONLY TO FIND THEY ARE ONLY A RIPPLE IN THE POND OF HISTORY. I WOULD ADMIRE HIM MORE IF HE WOULD SAY, "MY FAMILY COMES FIRST AT THIS TIME".
As the only canidate that has a comprehensive plan for eduction, health care, rural policy, as well as a plan to get us out of Iraq, I have no choice but to help John Edwards for President, as a person of substance1
Clinton ,president Clinton is or was responsible for the flight of jobs to China, why should I assume his wife as president would be any different VOTE FOR EDWARDS
Can someone explain what is going on with the Florida primary date and whether a Florida voter can ever vote for a Democratic candidate in the primary?
