From NBC's Mark Murray
The first Democratic presidential cattle call will occur this weekend in DC at the Democratic National Committee's annual winter meeting, and the DNC has just released the speaking order for the 10 announced, all-but announced, or possible candidates who will participate. On Friday morning, after speeches by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and DNC chairman Howard Dean, Chris Dodd will kick off the cattle call -- and he'll be followed by Barack Obama, Wes Clark, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, and (last but certainly not least) Hillary Clinton.

On Saturday morning, Joe Biden will lead things off -- followed by Bill Richardson, Mike Gravel, and Tom Vilsack. The DNC says that each candidate's speech will be limited to about seven minutes. And as we mentioned earlier, we'll find out which songs they all will be using for their entrance and exit music.

Im curious as to how this order is chosen.
Lynette, I should have added that. Order was chosen by lottery and each candidate's schedule.
thanks....
Heh. This sounds like the pure blind dumb luck that used to have the likely top 3 finishers in a figure skating final somehow always end up skating last.
Lynette. The Seven Dwarves always come first, followed by Snow White.
I asked in the first place because the order is supicious. Lucky Hillary gets to "headline"..
One has to admit.....The Democrats have an impressive array of candidates for 2008. The only "wonder" at this point, is which one of them will become the 44th President of The United States.
If you haven't read up on Bill Richardson - do so. He actually QUALIFIES to be POTUS.
Luvadog, I've been watching and learning about Richardson for a few months now. You are right, he is very qualified, and I hope his candidacy gains traction.
Obama is speaking at a rally at 1130 on friday at George Mason, so i assume he will leave right after he finishes. Should be a busy day for him.
In fairness the qualifications aren't that impressive. So he's over 35 and was born in the US, wow! Not that I don't like Richardson, he's my favorite horse in the race. I just want to make sure that no one is under the delusion that "qualification" means anything.
Folks, We need to focus on this issues that will make America a better place to live and not who can make the biggest splash with their war chest or fresh face. While Gravel might be a long shot at best, I think his National Initiative concept has some great points and will help the people "that's us" to have some control over Washington. Everyone should read up on it at www.nationalinitiative.com. Sometimes good concepts come from unique origins.
