Romney on the move

Has Mitt Romney's impressive early fundraising haul helped him in the polls? It seems so, at least according to a new Zogby survey measuring the Republican field in New Hampshire. In the poll, which was conducted April 2-3 (just as the GOP fundraising numbers came out), Romney ties McCain at 25%, while Giuliani is third at 19%.

By comparison, a January Zogby New Hampshire poll had McCain at 26%, Giuliani at 20%, and Romney at 13%. So that's a 12-point increase for Romney.

The only basis one can make that LDS people aren't "Christian" are that they don't believe in the trinity. I personally don't believe in the doctrine of the trinity. It is a man-made doctrine developed by a panel of people trying to create a standardized belief for the Roman Empire. It is not found in the Bible. There are Latter-day Saints, Christ Adelphians, Certain Episcopalians, Unitarians, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc., who read the bible and do not find it to teach the doctrine of the trinity. Labelling these people as "non-Christian" is insincere. Anyone who would label a fellow Christian as a "non-Christian" simply because they don't believe in the trinity has got to do more sole searching. Christ would not be labelling them as "non-Christian." Instead of name calling, Christ would try to teach. If you believe that the doctrine of trinity is a prerequisite to being a "Chrisitan" then you should try to convince people of that, rather than insult them.
Your right and there will never be a Mormon Govenor? There are good Mormons and there are great Mormons, members of the Church of Jesus Christ will continue to distinguish themselves because of their faith in the Lord. Get off the kick of pastor in chief this is not the issue, who has the best political agenda, Romney trumps both Mcain and Gulliani as a conservative. Iowa Daddy
Can someone tell me where Mr. Romney stands on maintaining the integrity of our secular schools and the sanctity of separation of church and state? Knowing and respecting many Mormons I know that they are no better or no worse than any other Christian sect. I am happily without faith but am always forced to vote for a candidate that is at least a professed Christian. I am more comfortable voting for those that i know are disingenuous about their faith. I feel they are less likely to turn my beloved country into a Christian theocracy. I know I will not vote for him but I hope that if he is elected that he will support the intent of the constitution. As I tell everyone, I will not live Peacefully in a Christian theocracy.
Dave from New York, do you assume Erik speaks for everyone from my state? If you do, you're crazy as he is. You make no sense.
Gary, from Bozeman - I haven't heard from Romney on the issue of maintaining the integrity of secular schools, but even the LDS church supports that wholeheartedly, and has even been closing many of their church-funded grade schools around the world, stating that children would be better off in secular schools. Mormons, after all, have the most to lose of all the Christian faiths from schools that indoctrinate kids in religion.
To Jerry, Corpus Christi What would Gore have done in New Orleans if he had bene President? We will never know that, but we do know that he helped charter two planes that evacuated 270 people. Just google "Al Gore" Planes "New Orleans" and plenty of sites come up about the event.
