Goodling News Is Bad News For Gonzales?

Posted: Thursday, April 12, 2007 5:59 PM by Chuck Todd

From NBC’s Mike Viqueira
The House Judiciary Committee is "strongly considering" offering former DoJ official Monica Goodling immunity in exchange for her testimony in the U.S. Attorney matter, according to one very solid congressional source.

Goodling had preemptively asserted her Fifth Amendment rights and has declined to be interviewed or to testify before Congress. Last week Goodling's lawyer exchanged sharply worded letters with House Judiciary over her refusal to testify and over whether or not she had rightfully invoked the Fifth.

Per Pete Williams, Goodling's attorney, John Dowd, has no comment on the immunity question.

As a reminder, Goodling has resigned from DoJ.

THIS reminds me of Watergate. Whitewater and Monica did not remind me of Watergate at all. But "missing" e-mails and missing minutes on Nixon's tape are so closely related.
"High-ranking DoJustice official" Goodling, is a proud graduate of the PAT ROBERTS LAW SCHOOL (!) -- along with about 150 other "Legal Eagles" in the Bush administration !! Does the blessing of a televangelist and his $$$ donors really qualify these kids to hire & fire U.S. Attorneys ???
Well, she's a smart girl. She learned a lot in law school. Someday soon, she'll be in Playboy or Penthouse, as one of the "Girls of the AG Scandal"
Whatever Monica was doing at the White House was probably very Un-American and best and criminal at worst. Zealots always seem to justify means to an end.
Just when you thought it was safe to back into the White House...MONICA II!
this is going to get ugly before its all over, yeah!
