Clinton reschedules Rutgers speech

From NBC's Andrea Mitchell
Rutgers' Center for American Women and Politics has announced that Hillary Clinton has rescheduled her appearance there for this Friday, April 20.

She was to address the center on Monday, but it was cancelled at the last minute because of the floods.

Clinton has had a longstanding invitation to speak at Rutgers, which she acted upon after the Imus controversy. However, given that the Virginia Tech shootings have eclipsed the Imus story, it's unclear whether her speech on Friday will receive the same amount of attention it once had.

I don't appreciate First Read's sly, aside, remarks. Can't you just report without the spins?
What I would to know is why haven;t Our First Lady L. Bush tried contacting those wonderful young ladies to encourage them and to say how proud of them she is. That she support them 110% or something to show her love for them and her support. Late to New Orland her husband, and not at all to the support of these young ladies but next day to Blackburg Va. And they seem to wonder why Blacks feel the way we do about our President and his wife??????????????????!
It is very unfortunate that this lady, Andrea Mitchell is always slanted when she is doing a political report on democrats. The same goes for this fellow, Chris Mathews. Why can't you just report the news? A man like Chris Mathews has had a long standing evil agenda on Clinton. Adrea Mitchell is just like him. No doubt Chris Mathews voted for George Bush in 2000 after having spewed filth on Al Gore. Shame on them.
In response to M.J. Alford: Well, the First Lady isn't running for political office, and has no need to capitalize on what should have been a non-story. And which 'Blacks' are you referring to? Or are you generalizing and saying you speak for the opinion of all 'Blacks'?
So Slipster, Laura Bush doesn't have to pretend to care since neither she, nor her husband, is running for office? It's just as well. I'd rather someone not be consoling, if it's just pretend. However, sometimes people truly do "feel" for others, but make such a public display of themselves that it just takes everything away from those they are supposedly trying to console. I say do your consoling in private, but I guess that's hard if you're running for president.
Does America realy want a past and present President. I see a real problem with that situation. Just who would realy be running the White House?? Better meaning . ""who is getting it on in the next room?? This is all about Gender and we will pay for that mistake if it comes to be!!!! Self serving is not a LEADERSHIP QUALITY!!!! Her agenda has nothing which will America is ready for. So consider your Vote wasted if you want a coat tail hanger for a President!!!
People, this is a blog--they are supposed to give opinions. NO one finds it troubling Hillary Clinton's apparent media grab!!! I'm so ashamed of being a democrat right now
