Biden gets the first laugh

Posted: Thursday, April 26, 2007 7:36 PM by Rob Merrill

From NBC's Mark Murray
Sen. Biden was asked about five minutes ago if, with the multiple verbal gaffes he's committed over the years (ex: calling Obama "clean" and "articulate"), he has the discipline to be president.

His response? "Yes" -- that was it, and it drew laughter from the crowd.

Biden has been making Gaff's since the 80's. It is part of his charm and the reason that people really take him seriously. A lot of people have felt what he says but he's the one saying it.
Having seen Biden several times in NH, I think he is great. I love his gafs, he is fresh and not scripted. Where is Gravel and Kuchinich?
My hero. Mister Clean and Quick !
Great response by Joe... silly question
I hope this question will get the press off of this ridiculous issue. Joe Biden has made a significant impact in the Senate for over 35 years and none of his comments have gaff's or not have never embarrassed anyone. His substance and specificity is far beyond any candidate on the stage.

Biden's response was great. Don't think he will get the nomination, but he'll make a fantastic running mate.
That was best part of the debate! :)
How does any gaffe even begin to compare to bush and cheney gaffes?
Quick thinking Joe. That was a great way to handle it.
Pretty smart, if you ask me. Reminds me of John Kennedy.
"Yes we can can, yes we can...."
Biden is the smartest and most qualified candidate. We should support him. Regardless of what anyone says, the race is still WIDE open.
Very humorous answer from Senator Biden; almost as funny as his hair plugs...
