Dodd's new global-warming ad

From NBC's Mark Murray
Dodd's campaign just announced that it will be launching its third TV ad, which will run in Iowa and New Hampshire -- states that this weekend will be hosting an '08 awards dinner and a presidential debate, respectively. The subject of the ad: global warming.

Says an announcer, "All the Earth's creatures are threatened by global warming. One candidate for president is doing something to stop it: Chris Dodd. He's the only one with an energy plan that has a courageous corporate carbon tax to transform American industry. It's the plan Al Gore and Bill Bradley call 'creative,' 'honest and bold.'"

Dodd's third TV ad? Those first two were quite a success weren't they....raised him from 1/2% all the way up to 1%....great job. I think Dodd needs a new PR firm.
All I can say about all the global warming hub-bub is: God forbid we screw up because guys like Al Gore were wrong, and we put thousands of tons LESS of polutants into the environment in error. What a disaster THAT would be, huh, fellow inhabitants of Earth!!
The world is going to end and only fear mongering Liberals can save us, but first you must give them full control over your life. Looking forward to the helicopters circling over head checking for banned outdoor grilling. Just hope they don't get in the way of the jet setting "I paid my sin tax" Liberals peaking down on flyover country. Taxes and fines, fines and taxes.....
Competence and leadership, leadership and competence....

Dave,Tn: Only a very few people left that fails to see that we are having climate change. When you can't breathe, can't grow any crops and feed people you will finally see what "us liberals" are talking about.
Connie I didn't say the climate wasn't changing. It always has and always will continue to change. Growing crops? Let's say the Liberals were successful. How well do you think those crops will grow without C02? This is another bullshit scheme that will end up killing the poorest people in the world. CO2 from what I've heard is ninth on the list of greenhouse gases. Water evaporation being number one. Try putting all this money into desalination systems and running pipes to bring clean water to people in Africa and watch the anti human ecoloons scream NNOOOOOOoooo that will increase Global Warming. I'm still waiting to see Gore back up the lies in his movie against some real scientist. Not just the ones who've sold their souls to the UN. Why would anyone trust the UN to do anything? Oh yeah if something goes wrong you can't be blamed.
The Global Warming hysteria has always made me laugh. Here is the deal, people: 1) Global Warming is probably happening though I know that just 30 years ago you same people were talking about global cooling so who knows. 2) If it is happening, it may or may not be caused by human beings. 3) If it is caused by human beings, we may or may not be able to turn the tide. It may very well be too late. 4) It is possible that economic destruction caused by the "cure" will be far worse than the disease and will result in far more people dying all over the world. 5) The results of global warming may include some positive results as well as negative ones. 6) The Earth may just correct itself in a generation or two. For people to talk about this in catastrophic or even apocalyptic terms is just ridiculous and amounts to an undeclared religion. Extremists are far more dangerous to the world than, for instance, Christian extremists. If it weren't so serious, I would have to laugh but the fact that true believers are often in positions of power scares the cr#p out of me.
And to make matters worse, some liberal nitwit(can't remember which one) wants to add a 4% tax for some kind of Carbon Credits. Al Gore pays his fair share of Carbon credits, even if it is paid to a company he co-owns1 What kind of nutcase pays money to his own company!!!! Chris Dodd is the saviour of America? Chris, do us all a favor, go back to the Senate and be borish and take Hillary with you!
But Connie- if we try to slow the warming, we might cut into the dollars the 'me-first' corporations and their stockholders might get! I'm sick of those holes of the bung variety not caring about anything other than "I got mine- screw everyone else that comes along behind me". Guess that makes me some kind of 'whack-o', huh?
I saw Gore being interviewed about two days ago and when asked if he had thought of taking further steps after the Supreme Court decision, he said there were no intermediate steps between the court's decision and violent revolution. After six years of Bush, I think we should have plumped for the revolution.
