Chuck's thoughts on the forum

From NBC's Chuck Todd
My friends at Hardball ask me to keep tabs on the AFSCME forum and share my extraneous thoughts as these folks were speaking. Here's an excerpt:  "First off, what a great show. Forums are usually a bore but this one was fun to watch and Chris kept it moving. These candidates tried hard not to make news, but they certainly fed off the crowd which also kept the energy level up. Overall, it's a forum format other groups (both left and right) ought to copy. This works."  For more candidate-by-candidate analysis, go to Hardblogger.

Chuck; perhaps the debates should be re-thought and an open forum format instituted so that we, the voters, can fully appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate. For example; it is Hillary's lack of commitment (clear answer) to a subject that really pulls me away from her candidacy.
Chuck's comments seem to say a lot about what's been bothering people about the so-called debate format, it doesn't allow candidates, especially lower tier, to shine on their own merits.
I am glad Clinton took control again!!
Hey Chuck, thanks for the update and understand the quick nature, BUT a little more meat when you update.  What exactly did Richardson say of substance that connected so well?  How can he import that energy to his debate performances?  What was Obama's Humphrey line anyway?
I guess people still think Kucinich is fifteen.
As a Minnesotan, I am curious about the Hubert Humphrey line.  What was it?  Did Obama take a shot at HHH?
Hillary won't go into Scooter Libby because of Bill Clinton and his pardoning of Marc Rich.  very smart move I must admit on Hillary's part.
Kucinich IS more in sync with the "rank and file" than any other deomocratic candidate, (IMHO). If the media would just give him a chance and let him talk, people would begin to realize that he is saying what is in their hearts, and has the guts to do what needs to be done to finally turn this country around.
I am a Canadian political junkie and I think that Ron Paul is the most honest candidate for 2008 Presidential Elections.
JMHO.

Dennis Kucinich should be president. He's brillant. He knows the facts. He knows the problems. He's got solutions for everything and a Bill to back it up. Sadly, Dennis gets minimal coverage & loads of disrespect by media personalties. So, Chuck, you're in a position to change things; please, do something already!  Push the truthseeker & peacemaker to center front at 1) the next debate, 2) your very next "who's on top" story; 3) Who should be getting the coverage & who's not. Enlighten and educate everyone. Dennis Kucinich for President of the United States of America.
