From NBC's Mark Murray
A new Survey and Policy Research Institute poll shows Clinton and Giuliani leading in California. On the Dem side, Clinton is at 37%, while Edwards and Obama are tied at 15% each. Perhaps most strikingly, among women, Clinton is at 45% -- versus 13% for Obama and 8% for Edwards.

On the GOP side, Giuliani is ahead at 25%, followed by Fred Thompson at 16%, McCain at 14%, and Romney at 5%.

The poll also finds that just 25% of Californians approve of President Bush's job.

"SOME WHERE OVER THE RAINBOW"  That is your song Hillary.
" I AM WOMAN"
"KEEP ON KEEPING ON"
The undecided numbers are significant. I suppose they shouldn't be unexpected, given how early it is. Still, they show a lot of room for movement. I wonder how these numbers track with earlier polls from California - anyone remember seeing any?
Nah the polls are,"Give Me a Kiss to Build a Dream ON"

WE are "California Dreaming."

SO SILLY 45% poll for Hillary makes me want to sing!
I know it is sooooo early.
Polls are irrelevant, all the numbers you read are either manipulated or outright lies, ignore them
Sounds like every repubs nightmare could possibly happen. Hillary Rodham Clinton-the first female U.S. DEMOCRATIC president.
2 years or less from the election, who cares what is going on in the land of fruits and taxpayer ripoffs? Must be taking the polls in southern california, Can't believe the pink broads and extreme left in northern california would vote for Hillary, she is way too mellow for them to even fathom.
California is different. Californians are not like others. California is technically a member state of the Andromedia galaxie. You know, kinda like Florida is part of Cuba. Like Cheney is a member of the legislative branch when that's convenient to Bushies and a member of the executive branch during other times. It's all very complicated. It would take a novel-length document to explain it, but the document would be top secret.
At this point maybe instead of "just 25%" approving of Bush's job it should be "an astounding 25%".   There are a lot of con artists who would love to get a hold of that list.
You go Hillary!  Whatever happened to Ken Starr?
I should be noted that at this point in the 2004, Joe Leiberman was the front runner and by August 2004 it was Howard Dean. In one month, Kerry went from polling at about 5% to polling at 49%.  There was simalar movement on the GOP side as well. These polls provide some nice fodder for us political junkies but none of these polls really means very much until after Labor Day.
I want A new "KEN STARR", we can spend a billion or 2
to get the real criminals, the ones in the DIRTY HOUSE.
They give the mafia a BAD name.
If you think that way H P, then Joe kennedy was no different then George Bush.
Joe Kennedy Jerry? Oh man, you're more pathetic that I thought. You gotta go back THAT far?
NEVER underestimate the Clintons. They are very powerful folks.
the only thing the so called "powerful" clintons can accomplish is putting rudy in the whitehouse, it ain't worth the risk, pick another dem for the nations sake, save our country don't nominate hillary, think about the children
These polls show that the superior name recognition and political experience of Hillary Clinton is overwhelming her opponents for the Democratic presidential nomination.
I feel happy fot Hillary!
So basically the public is ready to volley back from the Bush family to the Clinton family.

Meanwhile, we have radical Islam trying to attack us and my thought is that a united country is the most important thing we need to achieve...enough of the Red State/Blue State thing.  Electing Hillary Clinton ensures us a continued divided country.

My gosh, you mean to tell me there isn't a candidate that we can vote for that would be a unifying candidate for the US?
Yeah Susan, Monica and Vince Foster found that out didn't they?  Sheldon, being a canadian, being in a country with 3 tugboats and a mule for your armed forces, you just worry about your own damn country and we americans will worry about ours!  California is just one state that, for reasons that escape me, seems to love Hillary.  i guess their taxes are not high enough.
Giuliani, Fred Thompson, McCain, and Romney are all a bunch of flip flopping, lying, unqualified IDIOTS.  People need to turn off their TVs and eduacate themselves on politics.
