Richardson on Iran

From NBC's Jenny Anzelmo
Richardson

today spoke before the Center for National Policy in DC, where he outlined his views on Iran and the Middle East. His overall message was to engage Iran in direct talks with no preconditions and with no illusions. He believes that with the help of other nations -- especially Russia and China, which have more leverage with the country -- the US can begin to integrate Iran into the global community.

“In short the message to the Iranians must be clear: Work with the international community and you will be safe and prosperous. Continue to defy the international community and you will suffer." He also said that "no constructive dialogue with Iran is possible until we break the vicious cycle of suspicion and hostile, incendiary rhetoric. If we want Iran to improve its behavior, we would do well to stop threatening to attack them. And we should not fund Iranian émigré groups in the delusional expectation that they will somehow be able to topple the regime.”

Richardson applauded Condi Rice for “starting to break this ice." But he then went on to take a stab at the Bush Administration for calling Iran an “axis of evil” -- saying that would only continue to fuel hostility between the US and Iran. In order to move forward, Richardson said the US must “acknowledge this difficult shared history” with Iran, while encouraging the Iranians “to come out of the cold, and to build a more constructive relationships not just with the us, but also with the international community.”

Here is an interesting approach from Richardson. The question is: "will he be able to withstand the hatemongering and warmongering that comes to us on a daily basis from Israel and its zionist allies among us??". Bush has already gone to a war in Iraq in the interest of Israel now Clinton, Giuliani, Romney and other presidential candidates are slowly being manipulated by Israel and AIPAC into a war with Iran, with even more disastrous consequences in the future. I, for one, do not see one candidate among the Dems or Reps who will be able to return America and its policies (especially foreign policy) to its people. Not one. All are slaves of Israel. See Rosner's list at www.haaretz.com to understand how I could have come to this conclusion. We all are kidnapped by the Israeli government through our perverted democracy. And if this text will be censored than it is more than clear how far this kidnapping has gone.
Whodathunk it...Rice is actually showing some diplomatic skills.

Of course, she still works for the clowns who ignored hundreds of years of history and invaded Iraq anyway.

I'm sure their cowboy 'tough guy' stance on the world stage wasn't helping Condi win hearts and minds.

Let's hope they give her a longer leash...I mean, Bush is going to have to come up with SOME kind of success before his term is up.
No basketballs, chocolates, and 8000 nuclear fuel rods? Here's another question. What do you think got N Korea's panties in a wad more? Bush calling them part of the Axis of evil on January 29, 2002? or Clinton on December 16, 2002 Addressing 1,500 paying guests at a dinner in the Netherlands saying "We actually drew up plans to attack North Korea and to destroy their reactors and we told them we would attack unless they ended their nuclear program,"?
let's keep in mind that the iranians are hiers of two great empires in the past 'the persian and parthian ' empires. this in itself warrant the element of pride in a people that have been oppressed by european and american economic interest in the past one hundred years.  governer richardson is correct in recognizing that the iranian society will not submit to continuing threats by an american president any more than we as americans would if we were in thier shoes.
Which Clinton was that Dave?
 IF it was BILL well he is not running for President.
Hillary is going to be THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF so can the shots at Bill.
H P Boston / the only people who are going to vote for clinton are on the east/west coast, that ain't enough to get the job done, please don't waste your vote on hillary, it's too important to make sure a dem get's elected in 08, do the right thing for your nation sake
"Israel and its zionist allies among us?" Gee, John Doe, did you copy that right out of the Hamas press kit? "All are slaves of Israel." Umm, okay.

Alex, how about hatemongering for $100, please? (Oh, and John Doe, by the way, I'm Irish and Italian, in case you somehow want to work my countries of ancestry into your global Jewish conspiracy.)
I'm sorry I forgot. I'm not "allowed" to bring up anything from when democrats last ran the white house. You remember that when your girl is in office. I'll be on the look out for Janet Reno in a tank coming to "burst me into flames" because Hillary is President LMAO
Dave TN, all the right wing EVER seems to have in the way of argument is "well..CLINTON did so-and-so..."  We are talking about the FUTURE negotiations with IRAN, not N.Korea, and if every left-winger did it your way, every one of these threads would degenerate into rehashes of the screwups and shortsighted blunders of BUSH I, REAGAN & NIXON.  How constructive would that be?  Following that logic, after the democrats win the white house in '08, do we really get to blame every new screwup on BUSH II?  Great to have someone out of power to point the finger at, huh?
MK, and just who do you suggest HP vote for, then? Wait, let me guess - the "people's champion" John Edwards? Talk about wasting your vote. Why do liberals insist on making the mistake of thinking that just because America is fed up with these idiots in the White House and a corrupt Republican Congress, we now want radical Leftists running the country? Thanks, but I prefer a middle, moderate way (detestable though such a way is to the radicals on either side of the aisle). I'll take Biden any day.
@MK,MO

Not one Dem from the bunch that are candidate now will benefit the American people. Most probably there is only Chuck Hagel (and he is a Rep) willing and able to stand up against the zionist conspiracy (@Gerry: ofcourse there is no Jewish conspiracy, but there damn sure is a zionist one! The best proof of this is the ubiquitous, fake and evil charges of antisemitism when one criticizes Israel, which you also try on me). Our country will not succeed untill we fight a complete war against terrorism, that is Israeli terrorism included! No presidential candidate will dear to say or act on this. He will be killed by the Mossad quickly. That is the kidnapping of our democratic values that is taking place right now. We are stuck!
John Doe -

"He will be killed by the Mossad quickly"

Well, by that logic you'd be dead already too. Look, I'm sorry if I seemed to imply that you're an anti-Semite. What I meant to imply is that you're a whacko.
Our current dilemma in Iraq is the result of both "Liberal Stupidity" and "Conservative Greed." (Or is that Halliburton greed?)  It is evident by our naiveté in getting rid of Saddam without thinking of the consequences or the logistics.
While we may be manipulated by Israel, we definitely are being manipulated by Iran and Saudi Arabia.  After decades of Iran fighting Iraq and decades of Saudi Arabia and Iran fearing oil competition from Iraq, they have brilliantly out-sourced their war to the US and it is now our soldiers that are caught in the cross-fire of the “criminal culture” that is left behind as a legacy of Saddam.
And our oil dependency is paying for ALL of sides of the conflict.
Richardson is the only “politician” with the credibility and the sensibility to get the mess resolved with minimal future bloodshed.
However, the “quick solution” may be to recognize the total mess we have made in Iraq and just “out-source” it ourselves and have China send in the 350,000 “Peace Keepers” it will take to disarm the country door-to-door and border-to-border.
China is the ONLY country with the manpower, credibility, resources, technical skills to rebuild the country, and self-discipline to do it.  And they need the Iraqi oil even more than we do.
When did he start going by his last name only?
YOU Gerry (I hate to admit) are right(way right?)

MK,MO can save his concern for others, I do not have to explain my vote to any one. I am a democrat, a bleeding heart, card carrying liberal!  I will vote for the dems that are running, the one that makes the cut, will get my vote. PERIOD.  I also like Biden, and Edwards and Obama. But I truly TRUST Clinton. Gerry if I were(GOD FORBID A REPUB) I like Hagel also.
MK,MO - right on 'bro. You know what I don't like about HRc's campaign? It's the beltway bigmouths and the big media center types telling us that Hillary has got this thing won. Uhhh, WHO CARES how she is polling in national polls of Dems and those leaning Dem! Here in Iowa, she's in third.
Richardson is moving up and mark my words he will finish first or second. I've seen them all over the last few months and Richardson is hitting his stride - Obama too.
What a concept, actually talking to other countries (or people) instead of just hurling insults. It amazes me that so many people can't rise to that level.  Bill Richardson is about as far as you can get from being Ann Coulter (that's a compliment). He even goes so far as to compliment Condi Rice. Though I think it is a little late for her to be taking on the duties of Secretary of State -- but better late than never.
@Gerry, Alaska

Your backing out from the evil charge of antisemitism that you have made is to no avail...it is there for everybody to read...it does not help to say that you did not mean it that way, because there is no other way to understand a charge of Jewish conspiracy.

Furthermore, now that you had to retreat on that one (the evil and backward charge of antisemitism is often (ab)used by zionists) you try another fruitless act of stigmatisation by calling me a whacko. Right... haha.

Who is the whacko here: me by saying that we should have a president who does not get us stuck into war in the interest of a foreign country or me by saying that we should fight ALL terrorism (including Israeli), or you who is turning a blind eye to the terrorism, hatemongering and warmongering of Israel that got us stuck in Iraq and right now and right here is trying to manipulate us once again into a war with Iran!

I think you are the whacko, and a dangerous whacko indeed and fortunately more and more people are waking up to the dangers of fascist zionism. You must have heard of your friend Abramoff and his fate....
Remember Dave, I don't give a damn what the liberals think, I bring up Clinton quite a bit, like now.  Bill Clinton made a deal with North Korea and the midget people strung him along until by the time President Bush came into office, they already had the bomb ready to go.  Just like Bill and his little cushy dealings with the chinese, he was willing to sell the country down the river and got used like he used his women. We conservatives bring up the clintons quite a bit, because they are the poster children for what they did to lead the country into a war with islamofacism.  between their greed, their using of people to get what they want, their ability to manipulate people and events to put themselves ahead in the most selfish ways possible, they are fodder for us on the conservative side.  Just like you libs like to tear apart the Bushes, We will continue to study, dissect and tear apart the so called Clinton legacy.  Just like you libs will remember Bush for the iraq war, we will remember Clinton for using women as his personal cigar humidor.
@Jerry/Christs Body

Please bear one astronomical difference in mind. The cigar of Clinton did not kill one single human being. The Bush (zionist) regime on the other hand killed hundred of thousands... of which thousands were our very own family members. And they still get killed, every single day! All thanks to Israel and its continuous manipulation.
