Clinton today. Her entrance music was none other than Celine Dion's "You and I," the song chosen by internet voters. She delivered her typical stump speech with a twist -- adding in a line about Philadelphia or crime in each section. Clinton usually talks about the people she deems to be invisible to the Bush Administration. In addition to the child in a crumbling school and a single mom looking for affordable child care, she added in a mayor "struggling to turn the tide on all problems that every city confronts." Later, when listing the goals she wants to set -- among them universal health care and energy security -- Clinton called for "getting police back on the streets so that we out-gun and out-man the criminals, and we can begin to take our streets back like we were in the 90s."
She drew upon her experiences as first lady, stating her knowledge of how hard the job is makes her the prime Democratic candidate. "I'm very proud to be making history running as a woman for President of the United States, but I'm not running because I am a woman," Clinton said. "I'm running because I think I am the most qualified and experienced person to hit the ground running in January 2009."

Bill Clinton -- not Hillary -- would be prepared on day one. When Clinton repeated her line she would be so today, she received a lengthy applause. A few moments later, she said she's not out to talk badly about any other candidate. "I'm proud to be running with such great candidates. One of the blessings of this election is you don't have to be against anybody. We have a lot to be grateful for and the Democratic party will stand united because we know how much is at stake in this election."
