Rudy on Vitter, McCain

From NBC's Carrie Dann
In a press avail after his morning speech in Concord, NH, Giuliani took questions about John McCain's seemingly imploding campaign -- and also about Sen. David Vitter, who has endorsed Giuliani, but who has now admitted to being on a DC Madam's phone list.

On Vitter, Giuliani mostly dodged and said that he hasn't talked to the senator yet. He emphasized "this is a personal issue" and highlighted that he couldn't have achieved so much in the campaign and during his years as mayor without the good character of his staffers and supporters. "But," Giuliani added, "Some people disappoint you."

On McCain, he painted the changes in McCain's campaign as part of the ups and downs of the trail. "This is way too early for anybody to be written off," Giuliani said. "John McCain is a fighter."

You mean Vitter endorsed Guliani.
Matt, good catch. What was I thinking? Thanks.
No problem.  By the way, I really enjoy starting my day with reading your updates on here.  Thank you very much!
Of COURSE Giuliani didn't have much to say about Vitter!  We're talking about a man who's been playing Musical Beds/Musical Wives for years.  I'd like to hear what "Mr. Newt", the man who told his wife he was leaving her for another woman while she was in the hospital with cancer, might have to say?
This just in...GOP now believes inappropriate sexual behavior is "a personal issue."  I don't recall that statement during the Clinton White House.
Ha Ha, Write off McCain and Guiliani. Just another piece of snot hanging off Rudys nose.
In the GOP if you pay for extra-martial sex, that's OK because it supports the "free market".
Well inappropriate sexual behavior and rape are two different things. I didn't pay much attention to all that trash in the 90s, but it seems that's how it all started.
Rudy Giuliani, please be the Republican nominee for President! LMAO..I proclaim a dominant victory for Democrats in 08. Just stand back and watch em crumble!
Excellent, Nick, Deerfield, IL but they'll have you believe that it was because he lied to the Grand Jury. That's not illegal anymore, ask Bush.
Nick, skillful application of the double standard is what the republicans do best.  republican cheerleaders on this blog also excel at repeating or referring to unsubstantiated rumors and fabrications (see Dave at 2:09).
Hey Jim,  Newt has now divorced wife two, for his new squeeze which he was having an affair with when he was attacking Clinton over the Lewinsky debacle.  Thats why he resigned.  Now he married that campaign staffer, wifew number 3. The Republican family values motto..."NEXT!"
The reps are doomed in 2008 with this bunch of cheaters and neonuts...they either want to cheat on their wives or nuke Iran...shades of barry goldwater...we need a daisy commerical to show everyone how dangerous these guys really are...
Now we know why Vitter was supporting Giuliani.
OOhh! A high and mighty, Mr religious republican cheated on his wife with a call girl? I'm shocked, Oh my goodness no! Not Mr. family values republican!Well, maybe he and Rudy went to church together and prayed and God told them they were forgiven. But only if your a Christian republican, of course.
