Fred, interrupted

You might be running for president if ... you've got hecklers.

At a quick campaign stop at a Texas airport this morning, candidate-in-waiting Fred Thompson faced harassment from a young woman who was vocally displeased with the senator's conservative credentials. Her beef? Thompson's membership in the Council on Foreign Relations, a nonpartisan think-tank known as an influential heavyweight on US policy making.

The disgruntled woman worked her way into a reporter scrum and peppered Thompson with questions about his membership in CFR, which she derided as "the same group that's forming the North American Union with Canada and Mexico." Thompson, chuckling, replied: "Don't fuss at me, now," and went on to describe his participation in CFR and the American Enterprise Institute -- a conservative think-tank based in DC -- as sources for his "intellectual exercise."

The scrum went on, but at its end the woman's chorus of complaint started anew. "You are not a real conservative, sir!" she yelled as she was escorted out by police and TSA officials. "Please look into this, people!" Thompson ignored her on his way out to the waiting car.

Thompson's verbal scuffle with the woman -- who declined to identify herself to reporters -- might overshadow some other noteworthy questions addressed by the senator, including one about allegations that he has been funneling leftover PAC money to his son Daniel. Thompson called the charge "totally false," and insisted that his son's management of campaign funds is merely "common practice."

On the big "when" question that follows him around like his shadow, Thompson demurred again, saying that he'll be "making a final decision in the not so distant future," he appealed for patience with a touch of serene wisdom. "All things in good time."

****UPDATE****Per NBC's Clint Houston, on the ground in Hobby, TX....

In addition to Thompson's vocal heckler, a second protestor was asked to leave the premises at this morning's campaign stop in Hobby. Unlike his counterpart, the man went quietly out a back door at officials' request. Neither protestor was arrested after being escorted off the property by police.

Here's the kicker: The two were spotted leaving together in a car sporting a Ron Paul bumper sticker.

And they arrested the Ron Paul supporter, even though she used free speech.

Figures.

I'm voting for Paul.  Thompson's got nothing.

With the advent of the internet, many things are accessible that never were before. I agree with Tona.  Check YouTube and you can find information about the candidates, CFR, NAU, the Amero, and many things that they are attempting to keep secret.  While you're there check out the Patriot Act and find out what's really in it. Oh, and Gus, Ron Paul is very much against gun control.  You might just want to check it out.  Check out all the candidates and I think those that aren't part of the political machine or a beneficiary of it will be able to see why people are so passionate about Ron Paul.
I'm a Barry Goldwater conservative (that indicates genuine conservative to you moderate Republicans). Disclaimer: I don't support Ron Paul so save your tin foil rhetoric for someone else. I fought against McCain-Feingold as a member of the NRA and NRLC. Thompson was critical to McCain-Feingold. I fought against Thompson and his open borders buddy Spence Abraham on their votes on immigration in 1996. Fred Thompson is not the conservative he portrays himself to be.
Ron Paul is interrupted ALL THE TIME! And not by little women! Have you watched the debates? Why don't you ever report on that???
Fred Thompson... CFR member, denies NAFTA dangers, denies SPP plans for NAU, lobbied for pro-abortion groups, Hollywood actor, voting record indicates an  anti-2nd amendment stance 1/3 of the time, cannot even define Iraq War victory, will keep troops in Iraq 10 or more years, will not abolish IRS, will preserve and protect wasteful and unconstitutional federal departments, supports the Patriot Act!!! Need I go on?  Okay.  He's unhealthy, poor family man image, has had several marriages, terrible speaker, ugly, and married to a power hungry Washington insider that pretty much forced him to run for office.

RON PAUL = the answer to all of our problems.  Why?  Because he gets his answers from the Constitution and believes in the age old American tradition of LIFE, LIBERTY, PRIVATE PROPERTY, and SOVEREIGNTY!!!

Thompson makes things up as he goes.  Sometimes he's right, most of the time he's wrong.  Looking deeper into his record, you can't even trust what he says though because he doesn't even display fraction of the integrity that Ron Paul has.
He's dumb as hell, but friendly
