... Giuliani? His campaign's communications director put out this statement on the about-to-start AFL-CIO forum: "Debate after debate, the Democrats ignore the threat of Islamic terrorists and fail to address the Terrorists' War on Us. Yet they have no problem talking about raising taxes on the American people. Each of the leading Democratic candidates has made campaign promises that will lead to tax hikes. It's about time they play it straight with voters and are honest about how much their tax hikes will cost the American public."

A candidate that puts tangible consequences to political actions. Compare that to others that make promises with no remorse about who it effects.
It's about time the republicans play it straight with tax paying citizens and are honest about how much their war in Iraq will cost us now and in the future. Also how much they have spent in the past  six years on pork barrell spending, sacrificing nothing while our soldiers and citizens pick up the tab. Dems probably would'nt need to do away with special tax cuts if we could recoup all those tax dollars we have wasted invading a nation that clearly had nothing to do with 911.
Republicans accuse Democrats of the "Tax and Spend" Democrats.  The Republicans are "Borrow and Spend" Republicans.Took U.S. 200 years to run up a national debt of $l trillion dollars.  Reagan and George Bush Sr. increased national debt to $4.4 trillion in just 12 years.  Current President has National Debt nearly $9 trillion dollars.  Republicans are taxing current and future generations.  And, borrowing from China.
Rudy says any spending increase results in a tax hike. Is Rudy trying to say that the Iraq war will lead to higher taxes? Is anything the Democrats are proposing more expensive than the Iraq war? By his logic that makes the Republicans the biggest tax raisers in history. We already know what the Republican Iraq war tax hike will cost Americans -- over 1 trillion dollars.
