Biden camp whacks Edwards

Posted: Tuesday, August 07, 2007 8:34 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
Chuck already mentioned how Biden seems to be doing Clinton's dirty work for her. Well, here's some more proof. The Biden campaign just issued a research document noting that Edwards supported North Carolina's Right to Work law when he was running for the Senate in 1998.

“Tonight, John Edwards said that he claimed to be a leader on union issues throughout his career," said Biden communications director Larry Rasky in a statement. "The public record does not square with Sen. Edwards’ memory.”

I would love to see that document.  I just visited Biden's website and saw no mention of it.
I'm with you, Don.  The Washington "establishment", ie., Biden and Hillary, seem to go overboard in attacking Edwards.  What are they afraid of????
Edwards just became a friend of labor when he started running for president.
Edwards and Obama are hypocrits.
Biden. Get your false facts outta the south. We don't want you down here, we want our boy Edwards. Think again if us Dems stand a chance without the south in the general election, cause we're not voting for Obama, Clinton, or yourself. How about you talk straight to the issues rather than bash us and Edwards.
I am a native North Carolinian who voted for John Edwards when he ran for the Senate.  I must admit though that I have no memory of him being a labor guy or in the "trenches" for the labor movement.  North Carolina has been (unfortunately) an aggressive, anti-union state.  I have belonged to the union and have had family members involved with union activities especially the Teamsters.  I have never heard John Edwards name being mentioned until recently.  Being in the "trenches" does not mean showing up for a photo op.
Biden was on fire last night.
"I'm a fool to do your dirty work, Oh yeah"  Steely Dan
They all gotta attack the real leader.  Hildo should drop out before she damages the real democrats chances
The unions have often visited the south trying to get
people to join unions when all the mills in the south
were non-union. There was even a movie made about this "Norma Rae". These people weren't use to getting decent wages or good working conditions. They had a
hard time trying to get unionized, the textile mill companies fought them tooth and nail and finally some
were unionized. Unfortunately because these companies
finally had to paid these people working at the mills
a few more dollars under the unions, they closed most of the mills across the country and outsourced the work to foreign countries willing to exploit their workers and pay a low wage.  John Edwards realizes
now that the only way you can get a decent wage when
a company is not willing to pay a decent wage, health
care, and good working conditions is to join a union.
He is for the unions now, even if he wasn't then, quite possibly because he didn't know how the workers
get exploited without a union.  Many people don't know how this is still a problem today, and why people are living in poverty although they work, even two jobs.   Joe Biden is full of crap, he probably feels that Hillary might pick her as his running mate
if she gets the nomination.  John Edwards is the man
for the people.  Does anyone think RFK knew just how the people of the rural south and urban gettos lived before visiting these cities, and finally realizing these people really needed the help of federal government, since nothing was being done at the state level.  With every task you take in life you learn, and if you are John Edwards you try to change things for the better.
Edwards is a phony, Biden is the real deal. More than 30 years in the senate, held several chairmanship positions on committees, Joe Biden is the man to beat in '08!
DAFFY DUCK BIDEN IS A HEAD CASE. IF EDWARDS DOES NOT GET THE NOMINATION I'M VOTING REP.
