Romney Girls

That’s right. There are now Romney Girls. It never ends. There are three of them. Triplets. And their first video from BarelyPolitical.com is an attack ad on Obama Girl. But note the Stephen Colbert-like sarcasm in BarelyPolitical’s description of the girls below.

Politico reports that Romney and his wife Ann were on Fox this morning joking about the video.

“Romney [sic] said: 'There’s nothing like getting a good spot on YouTube.' Then he made one of his charming asides about how he needs to get his wife Ann to stop putting on those 'hot pants.'

“Minutes later, Ann Romney appeared in the segment and host Gretchen Carlson repeated the hot pants quip. Mitt said, 'I guess in my wildest dreams.' Ann’s response, 'Not in his wildest dreams.'

From BarelyPolitical.com:

"Romney Girls Attack Obama Girl!
"Sunday night Mitt Romney criticized Barack Obama at the Republican debate. And the Romney girls are following his lead! The Romney Girls are identical triplets, but they are as different as Romney’s various viewpoints.

--"Frightening Romney Girl likes Romney based on what he stood for in the 1980s.
--"But Athletic-y Romney Girl likes him for completely different reasons - what he stood for in the 1990s.
--"And Infant Romney Girl likes him for what people tell him he should stand for today.

"All three are singer-songwriters and have a new video coming out soon!"

Can't wait for the Hillary girls video.....
VOMIT!
Once Newt gets in the race, we'll get to the real Soft Core Politickin'. Can anyone say "Hootersvill Rutabaga's"?
According the THE Colbert Report, Romney says the 'War on Terror' is the most important issue of our time.....
....... But, none of his 5 sons (they breed like flies) is fighting in this holy war !!

They're too busy campaigning for Mitt !!
All AWOL from the War on Terror !!
That's OK, we'll get someone else to fight !!

More from the ersatz presidential hopeful. Seriously, is the anybody as phoney as Mitt Romney??!!
I think Hillary should have the Hillary boys featuring Jerry from Corpus Christi, Texas ...
Romney and his family continue the tradition, as perfected by Dick Cheney, of finding every excuse possible for avoiding military service while more than willing to see the sons and daughters of everyone else enlist to defend their misguided and indefensible policies and mistakes.  While they blather on about demaocracy and the "war on terror" they, of course, never have time to actually put on a uniform and place themselves in harm's way.  Driving a bus across Iowa in search of votes is hardly national service. It's a power trip.
yeah ricardo, it would have a re-enactment of Bill and Monica in the oval office......
I nominate jerri for hillory girl # 1
are YOU fighting in the war?  just because someone isn't fighting doesn't mean they are bad.  It is voluntary...not a mandatory draft!
All of mitts kids being cowards is typaical repub strategy as all repubs are chicken hawks
Mr Romney is probably one of the MANY hidden closet gay republican men.
Mitt's campaign song-

"The girl over there with the hot pants on
Filthy MacNasty all night long
Get down ha! the one over there
With the mean dress ha!

I ain got time-I still dig that mess
Get down! but I like the hot pants
Hey! I like the hot pants"
"Hot Pants"-James Brown
What's up w/the coward comments?  Do you know how many Americans DON'T enter the military?  Look around you!  Be honest with yourselves!  You probably know more people that are not in the military than those who are.  Why does that make someone a coward?  How many of you have served?  how many of you are fighting this war on terror instead of posting on a blog about Mitt's kids not serving?  Do you think those who signed up, who are in Iraq right now with blood, sweat and tears...think that we are all cowards because we're not there with them?  NO!  I know some of them!  I know some who have helped lead some of their countries...they do not think we are cowards or expect us to sign up just because they did.  Where's the common sense here?
Buy a Winnabago and support the war - what BS!!!

Sounds like the 3 Romney girls represent the 3 faces of Mitt. They should be called Flip, Flop, Flipper.
Um, I have to wonder, did these girls even think that maybe offering themselves as multiple female surrogates for a Mormon candidate might not be what that candidate would like to see? The different sides of the same set of triplets thing is pretty funny, too.

Seriously, you have to wonder if this wasn't an attack in disguise. Same with the Hot for Hill girl - I saw her in an interview and she didn't seem like a dummy. She had to know a girl-crush video ain't what that campaign was hoping for.
I think they meant to say Romney IS a girl.
mikeeg, would you like to name all the children of past democratic presidents, vice presidents and current democratic candidates who have fought in any war?  Hmmm.  I didn't think so.
I have been told the same make-up artist that romney pays $1200 a week to put his face on also done the romney girls, do you think the romney girls are prettier than mitt? tough call
anyone who supports the war and refuses to serve is a hypocryte and a chickenhawk(coward) now if you want to defend chickenhawks right to be a chickenhawk go right ahead, just be honest, they are chickenhawks.
Jerry I knew you had desires for Hillary CLinton. For god sakes, please tell me you are a much better looking person than Monica was :).
Thanks for the YouTube link. Interesting all the media coverage of the Obama Girl. Did not know that she was on the Glenn Beck Show.
Great Blog. Cannot believe how much Chuck and Mark write each day. Thanks. Great info.

She'd leave Bill Clinton is a minute for me :)
The Republicans are known as pro-military and the Democrats are known as un-American, anti-war & unpatriotic. During the Iraq War, the Democrats who were against this war have been villified. I believe we should look at the Republican Party and their "support". The Republican Party in Congress received a "D" rating for their support from the soldiers serving in Iraq. I believe the Democrats in Congress received either an "A" or "B" rating. The lack of equipment the troops had were the fault of the Repubican's votes in the first years of this war.

If you're legitimately FOR going to war, then you should go. Every single Senator, every single Congressman who voted for this war (both parties) should be there as well as their families. During a war, I believe there should be a draft. When our "freedom" is at stake, we should all take part.

It's very fair.

I have read there are 35,000 ILLEGAL immigrants in the military. And our troops are on their 3rd and 4th tours. There's something very wrong with our system.
ohhhh...I get it mikeeg...you DON'T support the war on TERROR...so you can't be called a chickenhawk...even though you haven't enlisted personally!  So do you advoate terrorists like Rosie O'Donnell??  Whether you support the war or NOT... then by part of your own definition...you should still call yourself a chickenhawk if you're not serving!!!  bock bock!!
I agree with Renee and Brent.  I know very few people in the military.  Actually , on the Fourth of July, I was at a BBQ at my uncle's house in rural Iowa and I met a lot of military people - there were probably more in his backyard than I have met in my entire life up to that point.  But notice what I said - rural Iowa.  I'm from Iowa City, and not many people from Iowa City enlist.  It's a rural/urban poor/wealthy division.

Think about it this way, though.  If every able-bodied male and female enlisted when they were 18, what would the military do?  It would have no way of training everyone, no way of housing everyone...it would be a disaster.

As Brent said, we have a volunteer military.  That means those that have better opportunities will probably take them.  I admire and respect those who serve; however, I don't belittle those who choose not to.  I do think, however, that if you are going to be president and send tens of thousands of Americans into war, it would be helpful if you had some military background yourself.
Dave Hazelip the subject is chickenhawks, you know, those who support sending SOMEONE ELSE TO DIE while finding any and every excuse not to  put themselves in the line of fire, it is also called having an alligater mouth and a canary ass.  Good try trying to change the subject but it wont work with anyone having common sense and who is looking for thr TRUTH.
Maureen, I think all illegal immigrants should go to this war and after they have proven their allegiance to this country and carry the American flag proudly then they should be awarded citizenship.
Hey Brent, I was in vietnam. Why don't YOU sign up boy if your so worried about everyone else and having guilt about being a coward. Sign up boy!
None of the front running democrat candidates have served, and all of them have talked about their wiliness to send troops here and there. What's that make them?
On second though Brent, don't sign up. I don't want anyone else gettin killed for nothing.
I think that is a fair statement. If you are effectively pro-war public official responsible/or seeking responsibility for sending soldiers off into the field(in a situation that is NOT optimum)....then do something, show some sort of substantial sacrifice for your position.
The YouTube link appears to be failing at the moment, but I found another one in case anyone is interested:

I am linking it in the "Your website" in this comment in case this doesn't show up:

So, I guess that means Pillory is a chickenhawk since she supported the war and Chelsea never served.  You and your like are such hypocrites.
The Vietnam War taught us many things. It taught us not to "sign up" if we believe our government is fighting a war we shouldn't be in. It taught us that our government lies to us, day in, day out.

The anti-war citizens got it right on Vietnam as we learned years later. They are not as quick to sign up or send their children as they once were. They have learned not to trust Congress or our President. It is vital that we question our government and not blindly fight a war we should not be fighting. It's the moral thing to do.

There are too many people in this country not standing up for what they believe is wrong. Those who do are not unpatriotic or anti-war. They are quite the opposite. It is the ONLY way we can correct what's wrong in DC.

No one is suggesting for one minute that we should not go after the terrorists responsible for September 11th. It is unAmerican and unpatriotic to even suggest such a thing. It's an out and out lie.

Barack Obama got it right and he put his future in politics on the line when he stood up against the Iraq War. Hillary, Biden, Dodd, they were wrong. And it's troubling for me to give them my vote.
I agree, Carrie. Unfortunately this time around, I don't think any of the candidates from either party, other than McCain, have military experience, do they?
Hey Dave Hazelip! FDR had sons in the military. Harry Truman was an artillery captain in Europe in the Great War. He had no sons.  JFK commanded a PT boat in WWII and had it shot out from underhim by the Japanese. And his brother died in service as a bomber pilot. Jimmy Carter was in the nuclear submarine corps. Clinton did not serve. Gore was in Nam. Kerry was a swift boat commander in Nam. Bush was awol. Chaney was deferred.  Romney was deferred for Mormon Missionary duty in that black hole called France while his dad was the governor of Michigan during Nam.  I'm not much for this who was a hero stuff, but at least keep it honest.
The one message I would give to any young man or woman considering enlisting in the armed services - if you are going just to get an education or a job, the please don't sign up.  Regardless of what the recruiters tell you (and they get rewards for the numbers they sign up)you do have other options.  Unless you belive in this war and really want to spend your days in the heat so Halliburton and big oil can survive, don't do it, if you do believe in this war, Halliburton, and big oil then sign up.  My prayers will be with you, but I don't want to hear you complain when you come home hurt, sick, or unhappy that you went.
I would try to talk any family member out of enlisting given the opportunity.  Actually they would not even have to be a family member - just don't do it.  They can't fight a war if no one signs up just like they can't fight a war without the money.  If congress won't cut off the money, then maybe the good citizens will cut off the body count.

"What if they had a war and nobody came?"  anti-war quote, 1967 - 1971.
Good point Dave....Pillory (I like that)should have had Chelsea enlist.  Because obviously, we're not discriminating between male/female, Republican/Democrat here, right?  Those saying the Republicans didn't serve aren't answering the questions from posters about which Dems and their kids served are they?  nah - not a peep!

SAY NO TO
OSAMA
OBAMA
AND CHELSEA'S MOMMA!!
boy? BOY??????

umm...F in St. Louis - grow up please!  I agree w/Brent that those on here who are calling others cowards are cowards themselves.  Doesn't look like Brent was the one who started that!  Read all posts before spouting off like that!  By the way - thanks for serving our country.  I have served as well - but I don't bash others for not doing so.  Get a grip!
Look at all the republican cowards showing up. And they are all crying WAAAH!!!!!!!!. Well walk the walk you chicken hawks. You demonized anyone that protested this war as terrorists or liberals. Well guess what, I am calling you republican cowards out. Talking tough is all you republican cowards can do. None of you chickenhawks have the courage to serve but have no problem promoting  and extending the war in Iraq. Do not let the republican cowards weasel out of this arguement. You just have to look at the republican leadership to see true republican patriotism. aWol bush, 5 deferrment Cheney, and of course pimple on the ass Limpbaugh. These are your republican leaders. They are just like the republican bloggers here. All talk and no walk. Demonize or fire military people that do not agree with you, but then are gutless yellow bellied pigs when it come to serving. You republicans can not have it both ways. You either serve yor country or not. Which is it you cowards. Keep hiding behind your momma's skirt or actually serving for this country. Which one is it REPUBLICAN HYPOCRITS.
The last time I looked our military was a VOLUNTEER military. Maybe some of you have forgotten what volunteer means. F StLouis, I think it is great that you served our country in Vietnam. I’m sure you learned a great deal from your service and I am thankful for men and women like yourself that have served in our military. But does it make me, or anyone else for that matter, any less patriotic because we’re not serving in Iraq?  I’m sure if we had access to the Selective Service register we’d find that all five of Mitt Romney’s son have registered and that if there were ever a time that there was a draft in place they would gladly serve.  But, there isn’t a draft, which means that they don’t have to serve in the military.  For you to say that anyone who doesn’t serve in the military is un-American is assinine. It bafels me that people like you only have time to find faults in the candidates, rather than focusing on what’s really important
So Maureen "It is vital that we question our government and not blindly fight a war we should not be fighting. It's the moral thing to do."

Seeing how Cheney was probably politically wired back in the day, and he figured out Vietnam was a war based on lies that makes him what?

Following the left's logic you wanna talk about the qualifications of supporting gay rights? BTW I'm not "pro war" I have friends that could die because of it.
Maureen, your right, troubling but vote democratic. Or we'll get Romney or Guiliani.
What a circus this presidental contest has become. People and u tube. Reminds me of the movie that was called boob tube.

Hmmm, a lot of high lottery numbers, deferments, and NG/Reserve in the ruling class.

Military experience rare among '08 candidates
by Andy Sullivan-Reuters

...Of the 18 announced Democratic and Republican presidential candidates, only Republicans John McCain and Duncan Hunter have served on the front lines. Three others served in noncombat roles and another two served in the reserves...

Republicans Sam Brownback and Mike Huckabee and Democrat Barack Obama had not yet turned 18 by the time the draft was discontinued in 1973.

Democrat John Edwards, who became eligible in the waning years of the war, drew a high lottery number that was not called when the lottery determined who would be inducted into military service.

College and missionary service kept Mitt Romney out of the draft until 1970, when he drew a high lottery number.

Rudy Giuliani also drew a high lottery number in 1970 after receiving deferments as a student and law clerk.

Democrats Bill Richardson, Joe Biden and Dennis Kucinich failed their physical examinations, as did Republican Tom Tancredo.

Republican Fred Thompson, who is expected to formally enter the race soon, received a deferment because he had children.

As a woman, Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton was not subject to the draft.

McCain's biography as a Navy airman who endured years of torture in a Hanoi prison is a central part of his appeal. Hunter, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, has made military issues central to his career in Congress.

Republican Jim Gilmore served in the Army in West Germany, while Ron Paul served as an Air Force surgeon. Democrat Mike Gravel served in the Army in the 1950s.

Democrat Chris Dodd joined the Army Reserve when he left the Peace Corps in 1968. Republican Tommy Thompson joined after law school in 1966.

The candidates' collective lack of military experience reflects the population as a whole.

Veterans accounted for 11 percent of the voting age population in 2000, according to the U.S. Census, down from 21 percent in 1970. By 2030, that figure will shrink to 6 percent, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

"Service in the military provides perspective on war, perspective on sacrifice," said University of Denver political -science professor Tom Knecht. "To the extent that we're losing that, that might be kind of a problem."

Maureen, I agree with most of what you said in your 12:54 post.  The problem is there are too many people who are quick to jump into a war and "kick ass" simply because their leaders tell them it is the right thing to do.  So, they follow blindly and without thinking condemn everyone who does not agree with them.  It is a derivitive of the "mob mentality" which politicians love and history usually proves wrong.  It is the same mentality which led to lynchings in the old west and the south (which, incidentally, were still happening less than 50 years ago); it was the same reasoning which justified locking up tens of thounsands of US citizens of Japanese ancestry while Germans and Italians were left alone; it is the same idiocy which allowed Joseph McCarthy and a majority of Republicans and conservatives to persecute hundreds of innocent people in their search for phantom Communists, as well as the more recent slaps at the Constitution by the same ilk; and, it is these same types of folks with the same thinking who posted "Irish Need Not Apply Signs" throughout American cities, took part in Kristallnacht in Germany and led countless pogroms against Jews, Armenians and anyone else in a minority throughout history.

History has shown what evil can befall the world when people blindly follow their leaders without thinking for themselves. Standing up for what you believe is right, wthout thinking or listening to your heart, because someone tells you to or the majority believes it to be so is, essentially, wrong.

Also, I don't begrudge ANYONE who has not served in the military nor would I not listen to what they have to say about the subject.  However, as a combat veteran, I know my frame of reference about war can only be truly understood by those who have also served.  I would be more willing to listen to the opinion of someone who has both served and thought through their ideas than someone who has not served and parrots the prevailing attitude.

How many of you who are saying that republicans should enlist have actually served???  What do you think would happen if everyone enlisted?  Do you honestly expect everyone to serve??  That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.  Yet - I bet some of you haven't enlisted either!  POT/KETTLE!  Did Hillary Dickory Dyke serve?  Why not?  Was she ever in the military?  So...I guess she won't have your votes, right??  And for all of you big mouths - be sure to sign up your sons and daughters as well - otherwise you're chickenhawks!  What poultry-geists!!!
Paul Miller
McCain has a son who has served in Iraq, and another in the Naval Academy. Duncan Hunter served 2 tours in Vietnam, and has a son that served in Iraq. The media does a good job of acting like trained seals when if comes to attaching the service of democrats to their names, and not doing the same for Republicans.
