Cop: Craig 'agitated and demeaning'

Additional documents released today by the Minneapolis airport police show that an "agitated" Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) returned to the airport-police offices 11 days after his arrest and complained that he had been "drug down to this office" when arrested on June 11.

A statement by police officer Adam Snedker states that, on June 22, Craig knocked on the window of the police headquarters and complained that he had been "drug down to this office" and that he hadn't heard back from the police in over a week. Craig was asking for information to pass to his lawyer. Snedker writes: "To note, Craig appeared agitated and demeaning during my first contact with him even though I did my best to answer his questions."

Craig apparently told Officer Snedker that he had been handcuffed during the arrest. The arresting officer, however, states that "I did not handcuff Craig" even though he was under arrest. Read the full arrest report here.

Im really confused, after reading the arrest report, just what did he do against the law? If the guy is a freak ok but this did not prove anything to me except that maybe there is a chance he wanted to do something maybe? When did he offer or accept? I tend to lean to the right but have never really heard of this guy. I am for law and order but there seems to be alot of speculation here. This seems like too much left to the imagination. Acording to the arresting officer, Craig showed him a business card showing he was a Senator, then said, "What do you think of that?" as if that would make the cop stand down. Maybe the cop should've said, "Notmuch" or "You're busted" or "I think you're a closet homosexual". Obviously Craig was hoping his power would kow the cop. The real irony is that Idaho is probably the most devoutly Republican state in the nation. In 2004, they voted for Bush by a larger percentage than any other, and Bush even made a special trip there to thank the state for their support. Coming at the same time as the resignations of Rove, Snow, and Gonzales (not to mention the numerous other "outings" of hypocritical gay republicans in recent history), this is the last thing their party needs. I'm from Idaho. If you remember the scandal in 19892 when lawmakers were suspected of having sex with house pages, out of the blue Larry Craig jumped up and said "I didn't do it! You can't prove I did anything!" He issued a pre-emptive denial that was weird and telling. This isn't the first time the man has done something like this, it's the first time he got caught. Maybe you reach halfway into the stall next door to innocently nudge the foot of the next door occupant,
like the esteemed Senator, but most of us don't.

And then when you get the nudge back, you put your hand onto the other side palm up in hopes of receiving a handshake or maybe just for a friendly wave. Or maybe you know guys that are expecting something else to be put in their open hand.
