Carpenters endorse Edwards

Posted: Thursday, August 30, 2007 3:08 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
Hours after the 700,000-member International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers endorsed Clinton, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters announced it is endorsing Edwards. The 520,000-member union did not endorse anyone in the 2004 presidential race.

Carpenters?

Was it just Richard, or did karen make an appearance?
Hopefully, for Johns sake, Jesus is still paying his dues. Or did the INS deport him last week?
Some carpenters somewhere have now endorsed Edwards, hopefully Obama will get some plumbers somewhere to back him.

I like the way MSNBC reported Edwards endorsement without linking it to any negative reporting. If only that same courtesy can be extended to other candidates.
Carpenters are the reason we celebrate Labor Day.
Building a better America / looks like the people building a better america choose edwards, your gal got snubbed, sorry sweatheart
Bruce - That was my first thought, too.  Oops?  And I'm sure hoping Karen didn't make an appearance...that would be ghostly.
Carrie, "When I was seventeen, it was a very good year"-Frank Sinatra, Will you still need me will you still feed me when I'm 64"-Beatles-new ringtone.
Join John in 2008!!! He's our only real hope.
The carpenters endorsed Edwards because he employed so many to build his home.
"I Was a Caarpenter She Was a Lady"
"I Was A Carpenter She Was A Lady"
Now I have Carpenters' songs stuck in my head...LOL.  Seriously, though, good for Edwards.  I like to see him getting more support.  I want the best candidate to be selected, and if this helps him get more money so he can stay in the race longer, then I am all for it.
WooHoo!  John Edwards will be a great President!
what unions have endorsed the republicans?Watbanks or wall street millionairs?
After all those carpenters worked on his mansion, he should get the endorsement.  Man the money the Carpenters made off that building.......

Carpenters songs......

I know one Hillary sings to Bill every day......

..."And I won't last a day without you........
Gary you are to funny, Jesus was a good carpenter until he started hanging with the money changers.
But he rose above it and proved to have staying power, what a guy. Jesus was a real liberal democrat.
Yes, carpenters are hard working craftsmen who produce a product that can't be whisked off to china. It is people like these who stand tall as Americans and it is people like these who need to put the american society back together. Lets back our working brothers and suppoprt John Edwards in his quest to get the middle class strong once again.
The computer nerds choose Hillary and the working guys choose Edwards.  I find that very interesting...
H P Boston--Interesting question, that. If He were here today would his Sacred Heart be a Bleeding Heart?
Have a good weekend H P!
