Ch-ch-Changes...

Posted: Wednesday, September 05, 2007 12:52 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
The Clinton and Obama presidential campaigns today both are going up with dueling TV ads that talk about change. Clinton's ad, which is running in Iowa and New Hampshire, concludes with this line: "If we have the conviction, she has the experience. If we're ready for change, she's ready to lead."

Obama's, which is running statewide in Iowa, ends with Obama saying, "We are going to take back our government; we are going to make a change."

"Change" versus "experience," of course, has been one of the constant themes between the two Democratic front-runners -- with Clinton now touting that she possesses both attributes.

You mean Hillary is ready to lead....again
Hillary Rodham Clinton will be our first female democratic president. Go Hillary!!
It's good to see him show what he's done to bring about change.  It's not a campaign rhetoric, he's got the experience to show it.  Let Hilary show us how she's going to bring change and what experience she has to prove she can bring change.  Cause I ain't seen it.

Go Obama
Hillary will lead us into the side of the road !!
She's already helped Bush lead us into Iraq !!
Where is she leading  us ?
Into Iran ?

Saying Hillary represents 'change' is taking a page from George Bush's strategy.
George Bush is a 'reformer with results' !!

Look where that deceptive advertising took us !!

Don: as first lady, Hillary was nothing but a 'glorified housewife'.
Gee Archie, shouldn't we do something about al-Queda?
Stifle yourself, Hillary !!

Senator Clinton trying to be two things at once...again.

I don't get the Dem love for her, she has more faces than JoanneWoodward in "THe Three Faces of Eve".
Looking for the missing HSU? Don't worry the Clinton's and their cronies will find him in a private box at the Olympics in China.
Women are better leaders than men it's know as multi-tasking.  Women think with the head on their shoulders, men with the one in their pants.
Hillary doesn't have an original thought in her body.  Change ya like a lepard changing its spot.  Experience, what experience- goodwill ambassador as first lady.  What has she ever done to help any community in America? Nothing.  People drank too much kool aid during the bush years don't fall for it again.  Obama 08!
I can hardly wait until Hillary "Pebbles" Clinton and " "Bam-Bam" Obama have to join forces and perhaps even the same running ticket. Talk about animosities. Oh well, a match made in Heaven - NOT!
We love you Hillary and will be voting for you all the way on election day!!
You got that right Susan! Go Clinton!!
I wouldn't follow Madame H to the latrine if I were about to wet myself.
She's a power hungry elitist who knows absolutely nothing about the military. (Except how to give our technological secretes to the Chinese).
Don't get me wrong.
If it's social re-structuring you're looking for (more taxes, and financial re-allocation, socialism). A loss of individual freedoms (especially the second amendment). Educational reform, (No one fails who tries hard)who cares if they can read. Womb to the tomb health care that the government (You and I) pays for.
Then long live the Queen.
Sierra,
You forgot about the Hillary run secret and illegal health care reform meetings she ran as that "Glorified Housewife"...Give me a break
the hillary blathers / "If we have the conviction, she has the experience."

seems to have been a misprint, it should have read

"we want to experience hillary's up coming conviction"

has anyone seen any poll numbers on how many voters think she will be arrested before the primaries?
If you want change, pay with large bills.
We need Clinton and Obama together in the White House now.  Maybe we can get friends back then so everyone else in the world won't Hate us.
has anyone seen any poll numbers on how many voters think she will be arrested before the primaries?

Very good MK Mo...check with Van he is the keeper of the polls   LOL
"If we're ready for change, she's ready to.." She's ready to change her position to anything that will get a vote. Nothing new there, politics as usual. Better to have a President by lottery.
How about gaining enough experience  (Hillary)to keep your husband home, first......I know Billy can hardly wait until the elections are over so he can go back to dating....  I know that was REALLY ugly, so no editorials needed  LOL
MK - Are you aware of a crime for which Hillary has been charged?  If so, please share.  Otherwise, it's kind of hard for their to be an "upcoming conviction."
Connie you are correct! Clinton/Obama would be fabulous!
If Obama gets the democratic nod, do you think he would ask Hillary to be VP??

What would she say??
I figure all the torture and embarrassment Hillary went through with her husband and she is still standing, is incredible in itself. She's got my vote.
PYRRHIC / Women are better leaders than men it's know as multi-tasking.  Women think with the head on their shoulders, men with the one in their pants.

Susan, Miami / Hillary Rodham Clinton will be our first female democratic president. Go Hillary!!

Dorm girls at UNF / We love you Hillary and will be voting for you all the way on election day!!

F STLouis / You got that right Susan! Go Clinton!!

you chicks need to look past hillary's mommy parts thing and vote for the best candidate, very lame gals, use your brains instead of your vaginas
In 1992, President Clinton was less experienced than Bush senior. Also been married to a president does not count as experience...with that logic one can argue that Phil Jackson a great basketball coach won a lot of NBA championship, Maybe his wife should be in line to be the first female NBA head coach.
Obama however, does have experience.  He has a type of experience which Americans need. His history in public service supports his position as a change leader. He is not a copycat like the Clintons, who will say anything and do anything to get into office...Now if Richardson is not running for VP, he should have been out their defending his ownership for the words Experience and Change.
President Hillary Clinton.... THE WAY AMERICA WILL BE!

VOTE FOR SENATOR CLINTON...... A BETTER AMERICA!
Emmy - The Clintons have a very long history of public service.
And here is MK again, obsessing over mommy parts.  Does that mean that everyone supporting Obama, Edwards or any of the other male candidates are obsessed with daddy parts?
ALL THE ABOVE TOPICS BOTHER ME.  IT GOES TO SHOW YOU WHAT A STATE THIS COUNTRY IS IN, AND WHAT IT IS HEADED FOR.  DISASTER....TB CA
Obama is giving up the "smokes" to lead by  example so what do you think if Hillary really wants to lead and set an example on healthcare she pledge to drop about 30lb.

BTW...who suggested she wear those belts around her middle
This post confirms it. The media is missing the real point. This election is about America's obsession with sex and race. This is about a white woman vs. a black man! People don't support Hillary because of her message (which is weak and pandering) they support her because she is a white woman! Obama's message is way stronger and promotes change but like the history in this country white American women will toss him back in the field when all is done.

BTW it was on the backs of black people that lead the way for change in this country so white women and everyone else could get equal rights. Thanks for not giving Obama a fair shot white women! I guess you still benefit from the oppression of black men.
MK MO so sad you are so sad, must be because your tiny little thang is so hard to find!  You could never handle all the "chicks" with brains let alone any "mommy parts."  Sad little old man you need some more fun in you drab, empty life. Yup it is well known you hate women or maybe just afraid.
Hillary following Obama's lead again.  Stop copying and get a message of your own.  Ooops I forgot you don't have a message.  Just ride your husband like Seabuicit into the Wh.  Maybe, if you rode him more often when wouldn't have had to suffer through the stain dress saga.  Never again!
PYRRHIC:
'Women think with the head on their shoulders, men with the one in their pants.' .....

PYRRHIC, you're getting us guys confused with Bill Clinton. Bill was the man who thought with the 'head in his pants'

All men aren't alike, PYRRHIC!!
Let me introduce you to Barack Obama and John Edwards !
If you vote for either of thes guys, you'll respect yourself in the morning !!
(and you won't get cooties)
Actually I'm becoming OK with a Clinton/Obama ticket. I'm not sure if she would ask him (He would steal some of the spotlight) nor I'm I sure he would accept (He would not like to be second fiddle). I was ardently Anti-Hillary at first, but even I must admit that I'm growing more OK with her being the nominee.  I think Clinton and Obama together could CLEAN UP in 2008 in a way that neither could to by themselves or with another running mate.!!!
Doug Dick Ca whoever..Who the hell made you the fashion police?  Why don't you set a example and shut your big mouth.
RH   'If Obama gets the democratic nod, do you think he would ask Hillary to be VP??'

RH, if Obama gets the nomination, Hillary can be the cleaning lady after the Inaugaration !!

I just hope she's smart enough to do the job !!
Vote Clinton/Obama
Vote Obama/Clinton
Vote Edwards/Clinton
Vote Clinton/Edwards
Vote Clinton/Biden
Vote Biden/Clinton
Vote Richdson/Clinton
Vote Clinton/Richardson
VOTE...VOTE...VOTE...VOTE!
Bill and Hillary Clinton are full of it. Here is what he said on experience in 1992. Please check out his statement on you tube.

If you think Clinton is going to win the election, think again. If the MSM failed to point out the inconsistency, we will in the blogs world.
Obama agreeing to be Hill's vice president is akin to tying himself onto a train wreck. With all her negative points and the Republican slime machine not even in gear, Hillary will lose so why would Obama want to be tied down to a loss? He has to position himself for 2012 if 2008 doesn't work out for him.
obama as a vice prez would be a good choice. He needs some experience,he's both naive and inexperienced, and a climber.
Let's give his a chance to show something as VP
The woman couldn't clean up her husband messes why do you think she can clean up or change washington dc.
BTW it was on the backs of black people that lead the way for change in this country so white women and everyone else could get equal rights.

Revisionist history is not dead...........
I can just as well say that it was the blood of white males that spilled by the gallon during the civil war to free blacks from slavery. But it was more about economics than slavery. Still it as always been America as a whole that led the fight to end slavery across the world. It's tiring to hear people still trying to lay a guilt trip on the caucasan race.

PS: Sufferage came before the civil rights movement.
Can some Hillary supporters PLEASE tell me what issue Clinton can call her own? Name ONE she can hang her hat on. Why are we supporting the most divisive candidate on either side? If Obama/Edwards is just as good as Clinton why not move on to someone without the baggage? I'm not going to repost my thoughts from yesterday on all of the issues she lags behind in. When I was in school, if two kids were fighting, BOTH were removed as not to stir up the other kids. In this case, it's Hillary and the Repubs (Rove, Bush and the gang). All of my Rep friends generally have a blasé response to all of the Dem candidates but Hillary (foaming at the mouth).

Forget my questions above. Riddle me this my fellow blogers: If part of the Dems chances of winning the white house is a low Repub turnout? Why would you nominate someone who virtually guarantee a high Repub turnout possibly losing another tight election?

She is the wrong woman to represent the first female pres.

She ain't Bill folks. You can bring him back.
Vote for any Dem. but her.
When voters say they want change, I don't think they mean a return to 1992 which is what Senator Clinton seems to be offering--at least this is what I have gathered from listening to her on the campaign trail. She's given us very little detail with regards to her plans or approach to specific issues, and I don't want to base my vote on rhetoric. I'm not saying Senator Clinton couldn't be a good candidate, but she needs to do a better job of explaining what it is that she brings to the table.
someone didn't read their history books correctly.  The civil war was not about freeing slaves it was about saving the union. The emancipation proclamation freed slaves in the south after the south had already succeeded from the union and had it's own government.  Freeing the slaves was a by product of the war and the north exacting its revenge on the south.  Who knows what would of happen if Lincoln lived, he never thought blacks could be interegrated into white society and was a backer of sending the slaves back to africa.

As far as the suffergate movement only helped women get the vote, no access to higher educaton or jobs- the civil rights movement and affirmative action help women far more the women movement.
come on guys lets be civilized. Both milestones need to happen ,but i say since women got the right to vote first, let the brother get to be president first.
Senator Clinton is not authentic. She can take many positions on same issue depending on audience and will defend all of them. For last few days she is talking about change ONLY because she wants to show the people that there is not much difference between her and Senator Obama on change and on the top she is more experienced. She is even using Obama's words/phrases in her new stump in a planned way just to do that. Well that also says she knows she is not inspiring. Her own words does not resonate with people. She has to steal phrases/words from Richardson or Obama to get her point across.

35 years of experience of doing what Mrs Clinton? What did you achieve other than "still standing after 15 years of right wing attack machine". Why it matters to American people if you have fallen or still standing? What matters is what you achieved in all those 35 years. That 35 years include wife of Arkansas gov for 8/9 yrs and first lady for 8 yrs. These are not political posts or elected office. There was no way you could be a NY senator if you were not a 1st lady or had a last name of Clinton. Please support your claim of experience and strength and change with specific example. If you don't have the right judgement, can't provide the right direction to the country in difficult time like on decision of going to Iraq, then what your strength or experience worth anyway? Just campaign rhetoric, slogan is not enough conceal the fact that you have no significant achievement. This time it will be difficult to make american people fool like Bush did.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I am sure American people are not ready to be fool again!
Rh,my friend you need to check your history . we were not even close to the first to try to free slaves across the world accualy we were of the last so called civilized nations to end slavery under a lot off pressure and embarrazment from the european countries, And the civil war was not about slavery to the north ( for the most part it was about kepping the states together ) But for the south they did spell plenty of blood to try to keep blacks inslaved . I love america but thats the real.
Please folks, we really need to WIN this election!  Hillary has huge negatives and will get out the Republican vote.
PLEASE, lets be pragmatic and nominate a candidate that can WIN.
The steaks are way too high this time.  PLEASE be realistic - this time.  PLEASE!
