Giuliani 'outrage' over Ahmadinejad

Posted: Monday, September 24, 2007 1:12 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Matthew Berger
Giuliani
spoke to a receptive audience in Portland, Maine, today at the National Troopers Coalition meeting. After his speech, he told Portland NBC affiliate WCSH that it was an "outrage" for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia University. "His government is helping the people to kill American troops right now, today," Giuliani said.

He also got a few laughs when he said he would not answer an audience member's ringing cell phone. "I got in trouble for that a couple of days ago," he said. Afterward, Giuliani attended a fundraiser in Portland before heading back to New York for several others.

Everyone should note that when Ahmedinejad said he would attack no country, that he does not believe or admit that Israel is a country. He has always refered to them as the "Zionist Regime".

Get ready for it. He is a fanatic and a consumate liar.
I'm not a big rudy guy, but i think he is outraged because the Iranians are supplying weapons that are killing americans, and his goverment is supporting both humas and hazbelah.  free speech is fine but alot of americans have lost someone they are close to in this war if the iranians are supplying weapons then i want this man arrested and tried for murder after he speaks

The idea,as proposed by the left,is that ''talk''can do more to get the Iranians to a ''table''.In the light of this,it is useful to observe that the EU,the IAEA,the UN,and now,in the form of Columbia University, the US,have all advanced platforms for this ''talk''.
To see what this has produced,we need look no further than what has been occurring in Syria and Iraq in the last week vis-a-vis Iran.

While Mahmoud was getting ready for his trip to New York, the London Times and REUTERS on the 20th and 22nd of this month had confirmed two things.

One. ''Blast At Secret Syrian Missle Site Kills Dozens''-Scientists and workers were attempting to fit a SARIN nerve agent on a SCUD warhead when the missle fuel mixture interacted with the gas, causing an explosion, which released the nerve gas over a section of the Syrian city of Aleppo.''Dozens of Iranian advisers died when the fuel caught fire and exploded''.

Two. The Times has now confirmed that a Israeli commando unit sent into Syria to gain evidence of nuclear weapons research ahead of the Sept.6 attack by an IDF airstrike returned with nuclear materials which bear markings of a North Korean origin. North Korea has confirmed through REUTERS [Sept.22,2007] that several of its scientists were killed in the strike. As we speak,Syrian diplomats are now in Pyongyang deciding their next move. The IAEAs Mohammed El-Baradei acknowlages that both the assistance of the AQ Khan network and the North Koreans have led to an increase of centerfuges being sent to Iran which have but one purpose. To extract weapons-grade uranium.

In Iraq,Irans proxy war continues with the capture last week,of a top QUDS Force operative along the Iranian border in Sulimaniyah Province, who is now being grilled by Army intelligence. Six others, all Iranians, were also captured by coalition forces who have observed increasing activity by regular Iranian forces along the northern Kurdish border which have resulted in artillary strikes from the Iranian side of the border.[NEWSWEEK Sept.07,2007 and VOA/REUTERS Sept.20.2007]

Lost inside of the argument that ''Bush is ignoring the recommendations of the 9/11 Commissions findings'' by virtually all of the top Democrats and their candidates for president is this, located on the Reports Page 241:

''This topic requires further investigation by the US government''.

What is ''this topic''? It is,as Mike Issikoff and Mark Hosenball observed in an MSNBC report on July 23,2004,the evidence gleaned by the 9/11 Commission through German intelligence that Iranian QUDS and HEZBOLLAH played a role in the 9/11 hijackings.[10 of the 11 so-called ''muscle''hijackers[those who used physical force to gain control of the aircraft],were trained in Iran and all held Iranian passports and of these, one,Ramzi Binalbish, traveled to Tehran in response to an invitation less than seven months before the 9/11 attacks].

Ahmedinjenad merely gains further currency for his mad desires by counting correctly upon the lack of US desire in the wake of the unpopular war in Iraq that he can do any and all that he wishes in order to create a new Iranian Empire, backed by nuclear and C/B missles,in the Middle East and that we will acquiesce in the furthering of this goal. Of everyone involved in this drama with its global implications, only Israel has played its cards with a strong hand in acting while the democracies ''talk''the deal into dazed stupification. The Democrats, frightened to death of their parties leftwing, will be effectively neutered in dealing with Irans nuclear and empire ambitions, and of course, will not act until it is too late. The left itself,as has been obviously displayed by its comments and support,is allied to the intentions of the terrorist HEZBOLLAH which it deems a ''freedom movement''.

Will someone please ask Rudy if it was an outrage for Jesse Helms and other prominent Republicans to invite Roberto D'Aubuisson, head of the death squads in El Salvador, to a Washington dinner in his honor and to shake his hand and praise him.  D'Aubuisson was responsible for the death of Archbiship Romero and 3 American nuns. He was also known as "Blowtorch Bob," or simply "The Blowtorch," for his preference in using a blowtorch to torture political prisoners.
God, would I love to see a fact check against some of the misconceptions I hear and read about everything our "news" reports. A lot of people are under the misconception that Iraq was involved in 9/11! I see it as a testament to the effectiveness of our political propaganda.

By the way, did anyone read what Cheney's solution to Iran was? He wanted to goad Israel into attacking them and then using their reaction to that attack as a pretext for military action on our part! Bush is a front. Cheney is the real danger in the White House and always was.
Give me a break!!!  You freaking liberals are all the same.  Freedom of speech in the constitution applies to US citizens.  It doesn't apply to stark raving mad lunatics from Iran who deny the holocaust, say Iranian women have freedom (yeah right), and want Israel blown off the world map.  We are so bloody politically correct in this country...it is sickening.  By the way, check your grammar and spelling before posting something.
Bill Maher said it best on his show.

"Ahmedinejad was prevented from laying a wreath at Ground Zero because he would be using our national tragedy for crass political purposes...and that's Rudy's Job!"
It seems like Giuliani is outraged a lot these days. And nobody really cares.

I highly doubt the students at one of the top schools in the nation will be brainwashed by Ahmedinejad. People in other nations hate Bush (as they should), and he still speaks. Thankfully, fewer and fewer people are listening.
Maybe Giuliani & Ahmedinejad can get together and think of something smart to say...maybe
I have an idea, let's bring Ahmedinejad over for a talk here at my Foward Operating Base in East Baghdad and let him feel/see the casings with Iranian markings left over from rockets and mortar rounds that the local militias are supplied with by Iran and use against us every day. Maybe the US press would cover the story then.  Wake up America!!
Rudy Guliani is a total knitwit. I would prefer to listen to Ahmedinijad speak anyday; at least there's some truth to some of what he says, whereas Guliani lies about absolutely everything. What a jerk!
Freedom of speech Rocks!!!
You're all fools.  You hide the fact that you are simply parrots mocking what your partisan gods tell you with what you think is witty, smart-alec comedy.  Nobody cares what any of you have to say.  It doesn't matter what side you're on, you're all going to die someday and wouldn't it be nice to have had some more time to enjoy life without politics?  You have all been fattened to slumber, and when it comes down to it none of you would have what it takes to make a real difference.  Shut up.  thanks.
I believe the commentors need to move out of the USA and take residence in Iran.. It would do them and their families good to live in that truly oppressed society. If they wrote there what they have had the freedom to write here, they would be stoned to death. God help us that they can vote.
Rudy go put on your red dress and a little lipstick and go dancing.  That is what clowns like you do best.
Hatred, Hatred, Hatred - No wonder Liberidiots defend the Iranian Adolph - they share the same senseless hatred - they even share the same enemy - America.

RE: Freedom of Speech - Yes, my overeducated, under intelligent Liberidiots, like it or not, it's true  - No foreigner has a RIGHT to speak in America -it is a privilege that is denied Enemies of the State. Period - end of story.(Although I'm sure that Hitler or Jack the Ripper would have a welcome forum at Columbia to explain why they are the victims)

Ya know I've read everything carefully and it seems as though the people screaming the loudest about this monsters rights will be the ones screming the loudest for justice when we get blown up again. I wouldn't allow my child to listen to anything this sub-human had to say, and I don't think he should be able to go to Ground Zero either. What a disrespectfull request on his part which tells me there is no heart to this man just pure evil.
I wish we could be sure that the statements our government officials are making about Iran are any truer that the statements they made about the weapons of mass production in Iraq.  It all seems like a maketing scheme put on by the government to convince us someone is bad enough to start talking war about.  Isn't this is why you have opinions on both sides of the fence over Ahmedinejad's visit to Columbia.  Even though I feel he is someone I can't trust, I would be interested in hearing what he has to say before I ask him to get the h out of America.
My question is why Columbia University allowed this viper anywhere near the college. This creep should be barred from entering this country no matter what his stated purpose is. It's time we sent the United Nations packing and used the real estate for something truly useful!Since it's creation the UN has done nothing of value, and serves only as a forum for third world lackeys of the former Soviet Union.
To all you people who think ahmedinejad should be aloud to speak at our Universities, What words of wisdom do you think he will spew? His country throws people in jail or killed outright if they speak out against their leaders.Maybe you all should move to his country and find out how long you would last there! And to those who think there is no proof that Iran is suppling the insurgence with IED and other ways to kill US.Why don't you look at the pictures of the IEDs recovered.there is Iran writting all over them. It's beyond me why you people think he has anything to say to us but convert to Islam or die.He has said what he will do to all who do not convert to Islam. You should thank your lucky stars that you were born in a free country. To those who think how horrible Bush and "His"
goverment is: WAKE UP! Its all our goverment.Love it or leave it!Your people comments are so far to the left that I know you won't approve this at all.It doesn't fit into your agenda of republican bashing. But I had to speak out. John
Lee Holmes--No problem at all. It looks like faculty members with a political agenda applied pressure to silence someone whose views they disagree with.
Slightly different than the public pressure being applied to Columbia over Ahmadinejad but none the less insidious.
The explanation is that Columbia's administration has bigger civil liberties balls and hence are better Americans than the UC Irvine administration.
What do clowns like you do best Hot Dam?  I mean, other then making total fools out of yourself?
People love to throw that freedom of speech line out there.  Freedom of speech is for Americans. Our forefathers did not mean freedom of speech is for traitors.  Over half the people on this thread would be taken into custody and hung if it were back in the time of THomas Jefferson. Defending someone as evil as this terrorist is treason.  With freedom comes responsiblity for your actions and I think most people in this day and age think they can do whatever they want and say whatever they want with no responsibility for their actions.  THis means to continue to critisize our fellow americans and defend these evil terrorists.  Go visit their countries for awhile and use freedom of speech. I think you would change you tune or you would probably not make it back alive.

There are 3 great religions: Christian Jewish and Islam. All 3 worship the same God. The God of Abraham.Yet the 3 are at odds with each other, but they wait for an event. Christians wait for the 2nd coming of Jesus, Jews wait for the 1st coming of the Messiah, and Islam waits for the return of the 12th Iman.We should be brothers all.and one day God willing it will be.Be ready!
"Freedom of speech in the constitution applies to US citizens.  It doesn't apply to stark raving mad lunatics from Iran" - Kevin, Fort Worth, Texas

Hey, I heard this permanent resident saying something I disagree with personally, maybe they should be thrown in jail.
If Rudy don't like what others say, Oh Well. He don't have to listen. A lot of what he has to say is the same garbage every American political figure has been spuing out all through out history. The Iran President is no different. Spuing out garbage at the political level. Don't wanna hear it Rudy? Don't listen.

Incidently. The Latin definition sums it up pretty well. Poli - means "many"  and ticks - of course means "blood suckers"
Politics = Many Blood Suckers!

Rings true with me!
Wow, I didn't know there were that many dumb s***s in this country until I read some of the garbage from these left wing dumb s***s.  May be we should let all the illegals in and allow them to take the place of the progressively stupid.
"Ya know I've read everything carefully and it seems as though the people screaming the loudest about this monsters rights will be the ones screming the loudest for justice when we get blown up again. Wow - You and I agree on Cheney COMPLETELY.
You may agree or disagree with Rudy's (or any other
US candidate's) view on Columbia's invitation, but
why must bloggers resort to vile and crude name calling of Rudy, Hilary, etc.? Most of their reactions are like those of a six year old. That's why the majority of blogs are absolutely worhtless!
This merely shows how a great democracy works.  Bush could not do this in Tehran.  Three cheers for Columbia and perhaps those complainig should remember we are in a country that proizes free speech.
I wish all of you "America haters" would move to Iran and TRY to practice free speech there.  Your philosophies mean nothing to these people!
Fortunately, Columbia University let Ahmedinejad speak today. And fortunately also, we here in America are free to hear him, and make up our own minds whether he is lying to us, and/or is a nut-case, any more so than Bush, Cheney, Giuliani, Romney, or any of the others.
Jill:

Freedom of speech does, in fact, allow Americans to speak about this issue, even if they choose to defend his right to be here.  The framers believed that political speech should be protected at all costs.  It receives an elevated place among the various types of speech that are protected by the First Amendment.

However, even if it didn't, saying that Ahmadinejad should be allowed to give a speech in a private (read, private - not public) American university is not treasonous.  Saying that Ahmadinejad should be allowed to attend a UN conference in NY is not treasonous.  First of all, we are not at war with Iran.  There is no espionage involved here.  There is no giving aid to the enemy.  I'd like to know what your definition of treason is.
I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it!

The USA is still proud to be able to offer that kind of freedom to anyone, including the Iranian "Mad Dog" who thinks the Holocaust is a myth.
Impeach Bush and Cheney and let Nancy Pelosi have a chance at running the country.  She certain could not do any worse that the current president.
I am surprised by Norah McDonnell after listening to her response and questions after President Ahmadinejad's appearance at Columbia University.  Americans should welcome an opportunity to listen to views of leaders of other cultures even if we disagree, after all this administration is already involved in sabre rattling. Additionally, we should hold suspect any politician who would try to restrict our opportunities for dialogue. Americans need to decide for themselves.

I see by your post that your intention is to elevate the discussion by demonizing those that don't share your views. Let me help too.

I heard that Rush is planning his next "Rushstock" rally and they want everyone to dress alike but they can't decide rather to all wear Brown-shirts or go with the basic black military cut with epaulets and double lightning bolts. It seems that a minority are in favor of the brown-shirts but a dominant majority really, really, like Black and silver. So to settle it the leaders of each faction are going to meet in the men's room of the Minneapolis airport and draw swords to see who wins. Short sword loses and will be forced to submit.

There, you called us traitorus scum with Islamic Fundamentalist leanings and I called you and yours mindless latent homosexual fascist sheep with sadomasochistic tendedcies.

A waste of space, a waste of time, and another nail in the coffin of rationality.
Welcome to CROSSFIRE!

Kevin, Fort Worth, TX

I love you.........you made my day! and "ditto" is all I can say
For the record, no news sources are free from bias.  CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, Ny Times, and all others.  Everyone has an agenda.  They are lying if they tell you otherwise.  Your job is to take in as many points of view as you can, then decide for yourself which sources is truth or not.  In most cases you can learn from all sides.  Don't be a lemming.  Ask questions and decide for yourslef.  But every point of view and source has value.
"Hatred, Hatred, Hatred - No wonder Liberidiots ..."
"May be we should let all the illegals in and allow them to take the place of the progressively stupid. "  Bush supporters?  (Got to agree - there are  A LOT of really, really stupid people in this country.)
TO NICHOLAS:  YOU MISSED THE POINT COMPLETELY.....THIS WHOLE THING WAS ABOUT IRAN..YOU HAD TO BRING UP THE FACT THAT H.R.CLINTON WAS A WOMAN. RE-READ YOUR FIRST COMMENT.....WHY EVEN GO INTO IT....JUST TALK ABOUT THE INITIAL ARTICLE INSTEAD OF INCORPORATING HILLARY INTO IT...AS FAR AS I CAN SEE...YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TO EVEN MENTION IT...
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???
I have no repect for anyones, any nations or any religions who put women at a second class citizen.
I sometime wonder if them polital leaders or religion leaders came to the world from  boars instead of a human!
People don't seem to complain when Israeli politicians have REPEATEDLY mentioned wiping out the Palestinians.  Of course, they've called it innocous names like TRANSFER, and have sickening monikers for human shields, such as the NEIGHBOR POLICY.  I can't understand why Rudy and the Jewish public affair committee's are so upset!  Israel is one of the worst offenders of human rights.
Wow. How short some of there writer's memory is. Just 6 years ago America and it's values were attacked. the very same liberals that are now spouting the same old tired political phrases are forgetting that we are fighting a group that would ban all free speech and would have women behid a mask without ANY freedoms. How foolish most of these comments are!
I agree with all you say here, Bush really does suck.  You all have said the truth about the evil one in thr WH.  Good call Bush haters we ate ONE!!!
Kevin from Texas, did you flunk history in school or are you illiterate? The First Amendemnt applies to everyone, foreigners on our soil as well as our citizens. Did you also think that maybe he is just an act because what he says pisses us off? Abbie Hoffman did the same thing 40 years ago, the more outrageous you are, the more people will believe you. the mullahs in Iran ae the rea power, this guy is a loud mouth meat puppet.
Everybody talks about Iran supplying weapons to Iraq as though that act alone justifies our nuking Iran yesterday.  Look at your history, folks.  The US has supplied weapons to insurgencies the US considered more favorable to the US than the ruling faction in many countries at many times.  We're not (so far) a pariah state because of it, though we may have more enemies than we would if we hadn't engaged in such reprehensible tactics.  You don't have to be a "leftist" to think that the US and other nations should be held to the same standard of international ethics and law... just a reasonable person.  I don't like Iran's theocracy either - but I think its leader should have a voice.
Yea, Giuliani! He's outraged over Ahmadinejad. That's the kind of Rebumpkin we want in the White House. But first, he should pass an IQ test to make sure he scores over seventy. We don't want another Bush.
The outright distain that many of you use against the President of the U.S. no matter who it is, is a sign of your lack of Patriotism. No foreigner has the same rights in the U.S. as the citizens of this country. This is our birthright. So it goes to say that you would support amnesty to all no matter their intentions towards our great country. This is a mockery to all who have fought and died to give you your birthright. Those brave souls did not fight and die to allow Iran or any one else to come into our land and speak lies as though it was the truth. The fact that you wish to let him be heard speaks to your inability to separate right from wrong.
I hope that your distain is not the attitude of this country, if so, we will lose our constitutional right to be free.
