Tancredo on partitioning

From NBC's Andy Merten

Tancredo came out pretty strong against yesterday's passing of the Biden-Brownback bill in the Senate, which suggests a three-region partition of Iraq, by Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds.  He said Congress can chose to authorize war, fund a war, or not fund a war, but added, "You cannot micromanage it from the Congress of the United States."  It's too bad the format of this forum doesn't really allow for rebuttals between candidates -- it'd be interesting  to see Brownback's response to this.

How dare a Republican try to find a solution to the problem in Iraq. That implies that our war president doesn't have one. You are supposed to criticize and attack the Democrats, not work with them to help America. Get with the party program Brownback.
Does anyone realize how silly Washington looks to the world? All this congressional wrangling just puts the world's focus on our ineptitude and weakness.

Although many in Congress and most of the nation
believes this administration is incompetent, congressional arguments exposed to the press do little good if Congress is incapable of changing anything.

The real problem is that America put its credibility on the line the moment our leaders insisted that democracy and capitalism are the answers to all the world's problems. Ever since Bush took office all he's managed to do is show how corrupt and impotent this system really is.

The fact is, our enemies are making fools out of the
Bushies and therefore all of us. And even worse, this idiot has made me reconsider whether our system works or if everything that I had previously believed in is just an American dream and nothing more.
What an idiot! The military isn't supposed to come up with political solutions, the Congress is supposed to come up with political solutions.
