Fmr Army Sec. endorses Clinton

Posted: Monday, October 01, 2007 2:41 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Athena Jones
Louis E. Caldera, the former secretary of the army, today endorsed Clinton in her bid for the White House, her campaign announced. Last month, Clinton picked up the endorsement of another major former military official, Gen. Wesley Clark.

Caldera will join Clark and Lt. General Claudia Kennedy on Clinton's Veterans and Military Retirees Committee. "Hillary Clinton is the candidate with the experience to deal with the complex challenges that our nation faces,” Caldera said. “I am convinced that she is the leader with the strength to bring the change that America needs.

"Her record of fighting to give our soldiers and veterans the life-saving armor they need in the line of fire, and the health care and support services they deserve when they get home was crucial in my decision to endorse her.”

Caldera, a West Point graduate, served in the California State Assembly and later in the administration of President Bill Clinton as managing director and chief operating officer for the Corporation for National and Community Service, the agency that sponsors the AmeriCorps volunteer service program. From 1998 to 2001, he was Secretary of the Army, the first Hispanic to serve in this position.

Caldera is the son of Mexican immigrants and could help in rallying Hispanic support.

Way to go ! hillaryclinton.com
This is a good endorsement for Hillary. I'm glad that some military people can see her as a leader.
Apparently caldera had to resign as President of the University of New Mexico due to "poor chemistry" and arranged a $72,000 buyout.  Wonder what caused him to leave?
***** Stop The War & Corporate Corruption *****

Why Don't You Know Ron Paul??????

The corporate media will not give Ron Paul any  Exposure. Because, NBC is owned by GE. GE is one of the world's largest war-makers. They make things that go boom. They make $Billions on war. A Ron Paul  administration would be bad for business. CNN is owned by AOL. Majority share holder is Saudi Royal Talal who is also partners with GHWBush in The Carlyle Group. Another major warmaker. And on and on. You get the picture. This is why they are doing a Media Blackout on him. Because they don't WANT YOU TO KNOW THE TRUTH!!!!!

GOT TO LOVE HILLARY ! hillaryclinton.com
Notice how Hillary get endorsments from out of uniform military people. She hated the uniform in the WH and the troops are not fond of her at all. So this, like old Wesley's is rather worthless.

Obama's new 93,000 givers is making Hills team crazy. They have no idea why he is getting so many new ones and  she is not.

As the MSM starts feeling overly used by her and Bill, they will start doing more real stories about her and come Jan things for her will be different then they are today.

The Dems have a real chance to change the dyamanic with Obama, Hillary is not th best choice. I am amazed at those of you out her that just wantingly desire the Clintons back in the WH. it is irrational and unhealthy.
"GOT TO LOVE HILLARY !"

Amy,

As a matter of fact, I don't.
Clinton Obama is unbeatable.
Obama rocks!!! As for Clinton, I don't see anything credible from this endorsement, it is just MSM way of throwing another name out there for no reason, to say "Look people do support her". Yeah, the hell right, one has to wonder what is wrong when people that were around you the most (from Clinton's own administration), starts going to the other side!!!

BARACK THE VOTE!!!
We all love Hillary !  hillaryclinton.com
HILLARY CLINTON THE NEXT PRESIDENT. hillaryclinton.com
"GOT TO LOVE HILLARY !"

"We all love Hillary !  hillaryclinton.com"

"HILLARY CLINTON THE NEXT PRESIDENT. hillaryclinton.com"

Does this make anyone else think of that disgusting pink meat from a can? What was it called?? Oh yeah: Spam.
Must be lookin' for a job.
Really CitizenJ, you are on a roll today!! Keep it up!!

Barack the vote!!!!
Even the punctuation on this article is off (Simple minded Hillary supporters wouldn't catch it, being those with a higher education DO NOT support her).... Ask Gen. Clark about his email server from all the criticism that came when he endorsed her. And to think I supported him. <blah>
I truly don't understand the "Clinton/Obama '08--an unbeatable ticket comment."  Nobody believes such a ticket between such completely different individuals could exist.  Is this the Clinton-folks' attempt to marginalize Obama?  Secondly, a Clinton on the top of any ticket is beatable.  If you ask me, it sounds an acknowledgement from Clinton supporters that they don't believe she can make it by herself.  There goes the so-called inevitability.
1) I'd like to hear more about their roles and relationships with Bill.

2) Crystal, I like 'Barack the Vote.'  It's catchy, like G-Obama '08.
looks like hillary selling out to keep the war machine humming along got her a couple of endorsements,

hillary has no intentions of ending the fiasco in iraq, looks like from her vote on the iran scam she intends to get us involved there also, class act
if obama is so pro military , why doesn't he join up?

he's still of age.
Yes go to ...hillaryclinton.com
Go Hillary Go ! hillaryclinton.com
Steve you are exactly right, Ron Paul is the only conservative in the race from the republicans.
Tuck - "if obama is so pro military , why doesn't he join up?"

And if I recall, Chelsy Clinton is of age and what is she doing? After all, her mother did vote for the war in the first place.
Go Hillary Go!  November 2008 cannot come fast enough!  WE LOVE YOU HILL!!!
HILARY IS A LOSER. PERIOD.
How is it possible that she raised 27 million in one quarter??? I bet there is more deception happening. Wait, listen, and learn..it is inevitable she will lose and all will be grateful she is gone. Deep breath.
For all the liberals who have bought into the "Hillary is automatic" BS stop and think. Our party has an opportunity to do something great if we pick the right person to lead the change. Hillary can't be the person because like so many others she only has the ability to look back, not forward.
A lot of you here don't give Hilary the credit she deserves.  She is by far the smartest candidate of either Republicans or Democrats.  She would have to be to have ever gotten where she is.  Don't think for a minute that a woman doesn't have to be far superior to any man running just to get a foot in the door.  She'll make a great president and since we've had men as president for over 200 years and look at what they've done, let's try a woman.
//Laurie, Manasquan, NJ - She is by far the smartest candidate of either Republicans or Democrats.  She would have to be to have ever gotten where she is. //

Being an abused wife makes Hillary smart?
we need to balance the budget  bill did that we need to get insurance national. we need a leader  but not the bs of george bush. he has all but ruined our economy .i will vote for you
