CNBC/MSNBC/WSJ debate

NBC-NJ's Erin McPike reports that at one of Romney's "Ask Mitt Anything" events in New Hampshire this weekend, a supporter confronted Romney on Saturday with a disdain for liberal media. The last questioner at the last “Ask Mitt Anything” forum of the day asked, “Why would Republicans like yourself allow frantic anti-Bush Democrats like Chris Matthews to control the debate?”

Romney explained that the candidates are averaging one to two debates a month and don’t get to choose the questions. He instructed the attendee that Matthews had handled the first GOP debate of the cycle in California: “I thought he was pretty fair at that, to tell you the truth.

“In some respects, what you can hope for would be for a commentator to go over the line and say some outrageous things,” Romney said. “We’d all pounce on him like white on rice.”

Is this a sign McCain will go after Romney at the debate? McCain’s up with a Web video aimed at Michiganders, which interestingly features Utah Gov. John Huntsman. And check out this Arizona Republic piece previewing the debate for McCain. Notice the mention of Romney, whose father was governor of the state: “McCain won Michigan's 2000 primary and hopes to repeat in 2008, although this time he will face former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who was born in Detroit and whose father, the late George Romney, was a popular governor of Michigan.”

Asking Chris matthews to be fair is like asking the Boston red Sox to lay down against the New York Yankees.  He is about as biased as they come, no wonder he is on MSNBC.
Chrissy has really lost it lately.  He was swearing again when he was a guest on the Scarborough program the other day. Matthews must really think he's someone special when he thinks he can use that type of language on the tube.  And does anyone think it's weird that MSNBC takes so much of it's program time to promote it's other programming?
The Media House Hold is a terrorist movement, it spreads death, destruction, threats, suffering, molds hatred, aids terrorists threats, glorifies murder, preys on the low class, destroys lives, used to convey biased comment, supports spreading filth and is use to destroy the moralbeing of America.

With all that said, I'm sure you idiots of the Media think you are Gods!

Your the major conduit for all that is wrong in this country, Allthe Media supports is what I prestated!
all the other candidates should just keep they're mouths shut and let ron paul talk, maybe they would learn something useful, they can save all the neocon b.s. until they have a meeting with bush

Must stand for how this guy DRINKS breakfast. Meds and alcohol taken together can be dangerous...
romney is no favorite son
What's wrong with Chris Matthews?  I like it when he hits on his female guest, he's so cute when he tells them how good looking they are.  But I especially like it when his partner David Shuster ambushes his guest with partially true (he so sneaky) facts.

This will be an exercise of 'consciusness lowering' !!

Has anyone ever documented so much STUPIDITY in one room ?

An idiot's delight !!

Where is Joseph Goerbles when the Republicans REALLY NEED HIM ?
Pouncing like "white on rice." How can it be anything else with this repub-boys club.
Ron Paul is going to dominate this debate(if he actually gets a chance to speak)...he is the ONLY guy who knows economics up there...he is the ONLY guy who isn't pandering up there.

Essentially this is how I see the debate will run:
All of the rest will pander and talk about cutting taxes...and Ron Paul will be the only one who'll want to abolish the IRS, the FED and cut SPENDING.

And since this is a typical follow up question...here is the answer....the reason you can get rid of the IRS...is because IRS makes up for 33% of Federal budget. Which means that if we cut the IRS, all we need to do is bring our spending down to Year 2000 levels. (Does anyone in their right mind think thats impossible to do?)
Sierra:

May be time for a 40% tax increase in San Francisco if Michael Savage decides to sue the city for elected city officials using their powers to destroy free speech.  I would ask for $100 million myself.
i saw a black cat tease a white mouse until he killed it with his claws seems like a lot of countries do the same thing before they go to war
jesus blows up ballons all day sits on the porch swing wathcing them fly
Sierra, go back to jr high and learn how to spell before you insult others, dumbo.
I see First Read filtered the flood of opinions about Chris Matthews’s outspoken bias.  Guess they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them.
Hey doh! Sierra, spell consciousness. Ah, doh! An idiots delight indeed.
Of course on the heels of the Board of Supervisors in San Franscisco going after Michael Savage, now congressman Henry Waxman (d-Ca) saying his investigators are listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannitty among others.

I thought Henry Waxman was against taxpayer waste.
Must have been a dream.  Why are the taxpayers paying people in washington to listen to the radio?

Wait, Chris Matthews is too liberal?

Who are the other stations suppose to throw up to battle the likes of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Reilly?

Seriously people... what has this nation become... Presidential candidates should have to face tough questions... we don't need this kind of division in this country anymore...
--HMT MI--obviously, if he has to call in his brother to say something nice after the debate.

I love Romney's statement after a stump-speach when he told the people they could Ask Romney Anything/it DIDN'T mean he'd Answer Anything. Such a chump. If he's poked with a needle he'll surely explode, he is so full of hot air. Not even his stump motto means anything.

It's easy to stump-politick in a room full of supporters for the cameras of c-span.

...over what "line" Romney? ooooh, threatening the commentator! Watch out rice, Romney is here! The commentator isn't running for President! He is Not the one on the line. more hot air.

I am excited to see McCain will stand up to Romney's high-school-personality-contest campaign!
The repulsivecans are vieing for our attention, we will shun them. No reason to listen to the same old schtick. The message, vote for me, I'm almost what you want. Too bad the rebums can't take something from Fred, something from Mitt and combine them with the truth of Ron Paul, they would have the super candidate they have always dreamed of, a pretty Ronald Raygun, with the charm of Will Rogers.
