Clinton as Paris Hilton?

Posted: Tuesday, October 09, 2007 3:36 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Athena Jones
One older man at the Dakota City, Iowa event, the last stop on Clinton's "Middle Class Express" bus tour, had a bit of beauty advice for Clinton.

Ernest Kellenberger, 84, brought a printout from the Internet with several pictures of Paris Hilton. He said Clinton should copy Hilton's hairstyle, pointing out a picture of the heiress with an upsweep. He said Clinton having her hair "all hanging down like she just got out of bed" isn't going to work, especially in foreign countries.

Here's the link to the printed page he brought.

Kellenberger liked the first style, on the far left.

Hillary doesn't care about helping the middle class. Since we are going to have to have a woman president sooner or later she wants to be the first in history. Thats her only goal.
What's 'not going to work' is the ability of MSNBC/First Read maintaining any journalistic credibility while continuing to run garbage like this.
It would be the same as putting lipstick on a pig.
In other news, Rudy, Fred & McCain have little hair to speak of, Mitt, Huck, Paul (do we include Krazy Keyes?)etc. have hair, some more than others.
Mitt and Edwards have the BEST hair.
Maybe the candidates can all get make-overs on national TV instead of these debates and we can all vote on the internet for the BEST makeover.
The inherent SEXISM of this story is obvious. What is less obvious is why you guys chose to run with it.

Van
I can't believe this is the only question you are reporting. Any more of this garbage and I will not visit this site again, please, we want real information, I can get this junk on Inside Edition.
First we get "Thompson is Tall." Okay, so........Then we get "Clinton as Paris Hilton," which seems like a gender biased statement. Stating the obvious and stating the inane----is that all there is to report?
Who cares what she looks like. You cannot change what is natural. Lets face it, she is not an attractive woman. It does not matter what make over she gets, it will not help.
Hillary looks feminine and yet very professional; I like the way she looks. I also like the way Paris Hilton looks; for her chosen career, she looks great.
Only if Hillary Clinton is caught in bed with George Clooney.....making a video to put on youtube.
What a nice fluffy, SEXIST story MSNBC! How can you folks take youself seriously as stewards of information in the public interest? I guess I know what "news" sight I will never, ever bother visiting again.
Everything the candidates PROMISE  during the Campaign is the VOTERS duty to note them down and also pester them of the course of their solution . Because the public can then make Non-Govermental-0rganisations and rent expensive Advisors to the BOARD they make and pick up money by posting the INFRASTRUCTURE that is enabled inside THE WORLD BANK's official website and get THE COUNTRY PRODUCTS going ....
Is this a news site?
This should be part of "TV News".
to " American Voter" in response to the lipstick on a pig remark apparently you have a lot of experience in seeing a pig in lipstick in your own mirror.
The funniest part of the story was that this was an 84 year old man who collects pictures of Paris Hilton.  Hey, I don't blame MSNBC for running a sexist story.  It simply reflects the culture (see some of the comments).
"It would be the same as putting lipstick on a pig." -American Voter

Just not as delicious.
Like Natlie Manines of the Dixie Chicks said after their winning a big music award several years ago, "We want to thank our hairdressers.  After all, it's all about the hair!" That was all that was being reported about them during the early years. I guess Hillary, if she wins, will be able to say the same thing.  GREAT REPORTING!
I don't think it is a sexist comment.
It would be sexist if Hilllary had to be more like a man to be respected.
The man who gave her the pictures would vote for her even if she looked more like a woman.
It is true that she is not feminine at all, especially with those chipmunk cheeks.
He was right in saying that her look would not be acceptable outside the US.
Women are respected for being women in other countries.
They don't have to be mini-men to be respected.
In fact, masculine women are not respected, because other countires respect feminine people more than masculine ones.
Look at Mexicans, Italians, Palestinians:funny, elegant, compassionate, sensitive.
They respect people (men or women)who read poetry (feminine people) more than people who play football (masculine people).
Another difference with foreign countries Americqan women have such laaarge lower jaws.
Even for men, they would be large jaws.
It's like: "get those cashews out of your mouth before speaking to me."
I think it is the growth hormones in American cows/meat/poultry.
Or the government is putting testoterone in our water to make us all more like the inferior sex.
Loud, obnoxious, chip-munky, and masculine.
It's nice to know that some men still value the feminine.
H will never be pretty and she's not yet a great enough person to have charm or real beuaty.
Still, trying to be plesant to to the senses is respectful, and she should respect us enought to get a good hair-do.
She is not good enough for Latin American, European, Arab standars, well, in fact, only America, and maybe England would accept a woman (or man) with such bad taste.

No, seriuosly, what are they putting in our food/ water.
Look at John Mc Cain. Look at the woman who was a doctor in Grey's anatomy, and now has her own show, or that red-head who has a gay friend (soap opera, with a woman whose every trait spells either baseness or stupidity), Michael Douglas, etc. (talk about every vice showimg up in that face).

People will look back and be like"why did these people want stars whose expressions were either empty or vile.

I've never seen faces outside the US.
It's like "the new human: all testosterone, no thought."

Anyone have any info?

I've never seen such faces as outside the US.

It's not about the physical face, but the expressions. Or in this case the accessories/haircut to show intelligence.

Is there a mind or a soul in Orlando Bloom? Brad Pitt?
So vapid.

I guess Americans would run in horror if they saw a person of substance.

"Help! a monster!" might be the contemporary reaction to seeing Maaria Callas or Melville.

The people in the news today!
Really you dont' see such stupid expressions celebrated outside the us.

And about the cheeks people are developping...
Anyone have any info?
