Edwards questions Clinton's truthiness

Posted: Sunday, October 14, 2007 1:57 PM by Chuck Todd

From NBC/NJ's Tricia Miller
John Edwards has made his criticism of Hillary Clinton's vote to classify the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization part of his stump speech, but today he added to it.

Saturday, Clinton repeated her response to Edwards' criticism, saying that she saw her vote as a way to apply diplomatic pressure to Iran. In today's New York Times, however, "backers" were cited as saying it was a sign that Clinton was shifting from primary to general election mode, bulking up her national security credentials in anticipation of facing a Republican with a tough national security reputation iin the general election.

"Instead of primary mode and general election mode," Edwards said, "how about we do tell the truth mode all the time?"

He was speaking at a house party in Dover where he also received an endorsement from Friends of the Earth.

Whay the heck is truthiness??? Are we inventing words here?
Is Edwards nuts?

Iranian rockets have been used to shell US personel and our aerial recon have caught them setting these rockets up.
Iranian supplied weapons are killing US troops and Iran closes its government meetings with prayers for the death of the United States.

The Iranian response is that the CIA are terrorists because they somehow bombed Hiroshima years before the CIA even existed.
I would score this exchange for John Edwards.  Also, his retort was a pretty good line.
Tell the truth mode...what a novel idea.  It sure would be nice to see more of it!
No matter how many times it is explained I still don't understand how trusting George Bush to use diplomacy is an intelligent course of action. It may make sense in theory but we already have the proof that he can turn any diplomacy tool into a war making tool. He says he is the war president, I've never heard him call himself the diplomacy president.
VOTES FOR WAR:

Please note these are votes FOR WAR, not AGAINST WAR. These are votes for war against Iraq and Iran.

Obama:     0   Great judgement
Paul:      0   and he's a Republican !

Edwards:   1   but he apologized for his vote
Biden      1   Ho hum
Dodd       1   Ho hum

McCain     2   Bomb, Bomb Iran
Brownback  2   War monger
Clinton    2   here with her Republican friends

QUESTION 1: What is the difference between Clinton's Middle East policy and McCain's Middle East policy ?

QUESTION 2: What is the difference between Clinton's Middle East policy and Bush's Middle East policy ?

QUESTION 3: Would Hillary be Clinton II or Bush III ?

Hillary demanded that Bush withdraw from Iraq before he leaves office, but she says she wouldn't leave before 2013

QUESTION 4: What is the difference between Hillary and Bush ?

Hillary Clinton, 15 years of dishonesty, scandal and divisiveness
Since Hillary has had her ability to tell the truth questioned from day one, it does make a fellow wonder why Edwards finally figured it out now.
HILLARY CLINTON'S lead in the race for the White House is now so formidable that, even with his Nobel Peace Prize, Al Gore considers her unbeatable
This from the guy who says he's decided to take matching funds not because he can't raise any money, but out of principle?  Puhleeze.  Johnny Boy wouldn't know the truth if he tripped over it.  What a phony.
That was nice snap. lol.
The word terrorist now means, people we don't like.  Since the word has lost its original meaning, I supposed we can call the army of a foreign country, which is clearly hostile to us, terrorist.  But to the poster who said that this Army fired on our Army in Iraq...that makes them our enemy, no doubt.  But the word at one time, meant something different than enemy combatant, or one army firing on a different army.
