The republicans sure seem to be tracking to the far right in this primary season.  I find it very off-putting, does anybody really care who they chose to run against the democratic candidate?  They are all turning their party into a joke, well, G.W. Bush did a pretty good job at that.  I have a hard time seeing how they are going to recover from this in the general.  I suppose a combination of Hillary and stupidity of the American people.

You might know that I am not a Sen. Clinton supporter, but if it comes down to her and Giuliani, she will have my vote--assuming I don't abstain in protest and there isn't a better 3rd party candidate.  My mom said to me awhile a go that if all things are equal among politicians, vote for the woman.  Sounds like sound logic to me, who am I to argue with my mom?  Much more, who are you to argue with my mom?

Speaking of meaningless rhetoric, I invite Maria Comella to give us the quotes of when Rudy stood up and spoke out for conservative principles over the last 6 years of the Bush administration and Republican controlled legislature to criticize the runaway spending, huge deficits, foreign war adventurism, shredding of the constitution, and federal power grab. If no one can come up with an instance then Rudy is either a johnny-come-lately conservative or just-out-of-the-closet conservative. No true conservative could observe the last 6 years without speaking out for the good of the country.

you can always google Ron Paul and see if his stance matches up with yours. If nothing else, the man speaks the truth and doesn't fall in line with anyone or anything - except the Constitution.

Hey, I don't want to hear how bad someone is, or implied problems about other candidates .... what I want to hear is what the candidate who has the center stage would do if they were elected to the highest office in the land!!
I don't want to have to vote for "the lesser of two evils."
I'm tired of hearing what nasty people the several candidates opponents are.  It's getting old and we are not even close to the run-up to the general election (nationally).

Certainly, no democrat candidate has offered any reasonable solutions to these problems.

McCain, Rudy Tutti and Dead Fred all vying for "Head Neocon" behind the most non-republican conservative president since Lincoln started spinning in his grave (soon after Hoover, for those keeping score) is like Moe, Larry and Curly having a "biggest stooge" fight. It's freakin' priceless. I'm sure I'll think of it and lift my spirits when things seem low in the re-education camp.

Like you, I can't get enthused by any cadidate from either party.  I am tired of all the charges and counter charges already and we still have a year to go.  It becomes harder and harder to know what to believe, harder and harder to discern which candidates are sincere and which are simply putting out canned, scripted speeches. If things don't change, all off the undecideds may well have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

After the American Revolution I am sure that there were many divergent opinions with respect to policies for the US to implement, but our forefathers managed to reason together and formulate a Constitution that
has stood the test of time.  If they could do that, why can't modern day politicians put aside their personal agendas and work together for the good of all the people of our country?  Political campaigns don't necessarily have to be this divisive--we just need candidates who accentuate their positives rather than pointing out the negatives of their oponents.

The other question is that if (and a big one) he gets elected would Democrates let him do anything. I think Hillary is a better candidate especially if she stops voting yes to stupid resolutions like Iranian Republican Guard thing............

What about AMERICAN PRINCIPLES? The boys are positioning for the primary, too bad that message will bleed into the general election and how will they change, they will flip-flop and become middle of the roaders. This will be their downfall, they can't be in the conservative mold and then be something else in the general election. We have been watching their posturing and when they re-posture we will be their to see that they are just a bunch of panderers.

When did Mayor Rudy Giuliani have the time to establish a track record of supporting conservative Republican principles?  Was it between marriages? While publicly supporting the pro-choice proponents? While publicly supporting the gun-control proponents?  Perhaps I missed it while he was out doing all these aformentioned other things (which just happen to be less-than consistent with conservative Republican principles).

I haven't heard word one on any of the rest except more of the same and anyone who things THAT'S going to happen w/o taxes is living on the same planet as the aliens Rudy was talking about saving us from.

A "tax cut" without a cut in spending is really just borrowing from our decendents and is just stealing from someone else's pocket.

"stopping the illegal alien invasion" -- not stopped. The invasion surge was caused because the conservatives allowed the minimum wage to drop so low that only illegals would do the jobs, and then they compounded it by not going after the corporations doing the hiring of illegals.
