Jeb Bush Jr. backs Rudy

Posted: Thursday, October 18, 2007 10:47 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
The Giuliani campaign announced today that Jeb Bush Jr. -- the son of the former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who is President George W. Bush's brother -- has endorsed Giuliani.

But there appears to be a split in the family. Jeb Bush Jr.'s more famous brother -- George P. Bush -- previously endorsed Fred Thompson.

*** UPDATE *** This is the same Jeb Bush Jr. who was caught having sex in a car in a Tallahassee, Fla., mall parking lot in 2000 when he was 16 (no charges were filed) and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest  in Austin, Texas in 2005.

Hey Little Jack from Houston....

You sound just like your hero....all hat and no cattle. Bush couldn't find his butt with an butt map and an extra pair of hands and it sounds like you have the same problem.
who cares who he endorses??? Why even waste the paper to write it down????
Yikes!  The American Taliban/Bush family needs to stay out of the US gov't!  Another four years of a Bush in office is another four years of damage this country can't handle.  All the Bush's should move to the Middle East where they can live with their oil buddies.  Let them die for their oil, not American troops.
I am of the same opinion as to what Al Sharpton said it is time for these United States to get out of the Bushy's for ever an to never never again return to them in any shape form or fashion young or older Bushies. Even the old man had better sense than to go into Iraq during the first persian gulf war.this whole war is about nothing but contracts for the elitis company's that supported the entire Bush family an it's coronies. i think they are seeking to destroy our way of life in the Unites States an to put everyone who doesn't agree with their way of thinking into the poor house especeily the middle class workers of this country.
This guy was caught having sex at 16?? Why isnt he in jail somewhere?? Why is there a young man whose life was totally ruined over a blow job sitting in a prison in Georgia?? This country is really screwed up...I guess its who you know or blow???
First of all, I would like to ask that people stop picking on Jeb Bush Sr. unless they know something about him. He was a remarkable governor who often didn't even really see eye-to-eye with older brother even though he is still a conservative. It's very irresponsible for people to criticize him simply because his name is Bush. In fact, it's probably his older brother's fault that his political career isn't soaring right now. there ARE conservative Bushes who now how to run things. If only he had been the first brother to govern a state...
I thank God every day for Ron Paul!

Finally, we have a chance to take back our country and end the Bush and Clinton royal reigns.

Never again will a Bush or a Clinton "lead" this country!
I would sooner hear the name Bush all day long than the names Clinton or (even worse) Kennedy. Remember, one can't put a cigar in the right hole and the other can't even drive across a bridge.

Say what you must - remember, liberalism can be healed.
Ive rather see one bush in WH,rather than one mommy in RG.
Morons, you are all morons. The sad part is that you don't know why. You have all let hatred consume you over politicians who have been crooked since the beginning of  politics. The Clinton's and Bush's belong in the same basket. You are being sold out by both parties just so they can get re-elected.
GASP!!   A 16 year old boy got laid in a car?

I'm shocked!!!  Shocked I tell ya!!!

(snicker)
jerry: You are not yourself today... I noticed the improvement immediately!
Chainbreaker in Miami ....one of the sole survivng SAP's who approve of GWB ... how many are there nationwide ..less than 10 .... oh Jerry in Corpus Christi ...I foget .. make that less than 11
Is it really any surprise that Jeb would endorse the most neocon of the bunch.  Also, what additional votes would this bring? None, exactly.

Juan:  I agree we should run our federal government strictly by the Constitution.  However, most people would like to pick and choose what parts they find favorable to enforce.  The parts selected depend upon your political leanings.  If a person is truly a adherent of the Constitution, then Ron Paul is the ONLY person who is willing to abide its precepts.
Does anyone care who a 23 year old endorses whether they are a Bush or a Kennedy or a Clinton. Give me a break people. This is not news, it's a JOKE! Please report on something worth our while CNBC.
I side with Jerry of Miami, FL and the comments made by that person.  As a 45 yr. resident of NJ, where politics are squirrely at best, I moved to FL.  While the environment, weather, lifestyle rock compared to the Northeast, this is the most back-asswards political and governmental procedures of any state up and down the east coast.  Bush and predecessors trashed the economy on feel-good tax rates, cronyism, poor supervision.  This state is just entering what NJ went through on Whitman's departure.  It's sad that people are so self-involved as the glorious first family. And people keep voting for them, as the world collapses around them.
No matter how good you think Bush is, there are not enough politicians with the basketBALLS to override his VETO for lower class child health care.  We are 9 short.  I am no Bushit but so much for making a change.
jerry: You are not yourself today... I noticed the improvement immediately!

I'm just warming up.....

Considering that children are being given birth control shows the government mindset when it comes to sex education........

Considering all the attacks i have fought off in here, it is laughable about censoring me.  I don't personally attack anyone here, I just show them why they are wrong.

anyway, I saw an interview where hundreds showed up for the board meeting to discuss the budget, but only 24 people showed up for the meeting about birth control and 11 year olds.....

Like I said, either some parents really need parenting classes or there is something going on we don't know about....

I really could go all out here and burn both sides of my bridge, but I will refrain....
"it was the rightwing fruitcakes who opposed the US entry into WWII...they wanted to buddy up with hitler"

Bush's grandfather Prescott was a nazi collaborator - while in the US Senate! Henry Ford was a known Nazi sympathizer.

Little Jack - you don't know jack, but then none of the ideologs ever do.

Comparing Bush to Hitler isn't fair, because Hitler was good for his country, at least at first. Bush has done nothing but suck life from this country.
For Jerry in Miami, perhaps if you lived in an area of Florida that hasn't been annexed by another country and isn't a vortex for our state's tax dollars you would understand the difference between state officials' responsibilities and local officials' responsibilities. But I guess it's easier to blame Jeb because, after all, he's a Bush. BUT, it's wasn't Jeb's fault that with the money it would take to build 1 fantastic school up here that would last 10 years, we have to build or repair 2 schools down there that will both be obsolete or destroyed in 5 years because you don't know how to elect local officials who can handle drug crime and illegal immigration or can resist kick-backs. All you all do down there is lose control of ELECTED officials then want more money to fix the problems you're too weak to band together and stand against. BUT when you can blame a Bush, chances are someone will agree with you. Nice to have a safety net ...
What a total bunch of idiot respondents, Bush one, two or six are head and shoulders above any of the liberal choices on the Democratic side of the spectrum.  Rudy, Fred and Mitt all make the field of liberal demo's look like brainless bafoons like they are.
We are wondering why little jeb is even newsworthy, can anybody in journalism tell me please?
Hey Charles from Kansas City, that was Neil Bush, Not Jeb Jr with the hookers in Thailand.
give me a break, Jeb was a friggin DISASTER for florida and we are now all seeing the damage. Sound familiar? Typical Bush republican rule. Destroy all that is good.
Jeb Bush, Jr. Does he have a green card. last I heard he was joining his sister in rehab. That's because his family spent so much quality time bringing the both of them up right instead of worrying about their own political careers.

Bush is not perfect...but thank GOD he was in the White House on 9/11. Al Gore, Mr. Flip Flop would be talking about economic sanctions against Al-Queda for what they did. Instead, we kicked some ass. The Democrats are a bunch of whiners and cry babies. GOD, I wish Reagan were still president. Also, as a firefighter that went to ground zero looking for my fallen brothers, let me address Mr. Guliani. He was a solid leader. All the men and woman in the FDNY salute him for all that he did.
Florida will vote for MITT!!! Go Romney!
Thanks for the update if it were only relevant except to show the authors bias.  as if these were "major crimes"  not just the regular activities( and very mild in comparision to some teens) of modern teens.  hope this gets to all you NY and other liberals who just use this administration as a whipping boy(as if any of the dems could solve any problems as evidenced by the new dem congress);
thank god for the Bushes( and the Cheneys)
Do I understand this correctly?  You are negatively associating a 16 year old boy having sex in his car with politics?  And is being drunk in public REALLY a matter of social and political debate?  If you are saying that the caliber of man who supports Giuliani has sex at 16 and drinks in public, then you are talking about 75% of American guys.  Leave the politics to the politicians.
Gulliani have the same problem Clinton has. They get endorsement from currupt fellon.
The Gulf War during President Bush's father's term is the last time that congress declared war you moran.
GIVE ALL THE BUSH's SONS AND DAUGHTERS A RIFLE AND SENT THEM TO IRAQ
love al you complainers who think we live in a nation ruled by a king who makes all the decisions. we have MANY who make and influence policy.  This is what makes the US DIFFERENT.  So keep blaming one guy and his family.  What about all the rest? I guess they could solve ALL problems(real or percieved)if given a chance, or is it just a chance to be blamed for all these.
I find this once again to be very funny and of course very inaccurate.
1.Joe Kennedy Ambassador to Germany in the 30's (JFK's dad) wanted us to stay out of WW2 not the Republicans
2.Isn't sex with an 11 year old illegal?
3. Bush has not granted any pardons since he has been in office.
You libs are crazy, get a grip, smoke some tree, relax you aren't going to win in 08 anyway. Get ready for anothe disappointment. You have only your vengful arogance to blame.
Oh
4. Get out the Bush's was Rev. Jesse Jackson not big Al
Once again I got my response blocked by the censors
you only see the #4 correction I made to this debate
Thank God there are more of the Bush Family.  If we get another Clinton in the White House, we need more Bush to clean up their mess.  Also, Hillary would be a disaster compared to Bill (and all Bill did was run up more deficits when we had a great economy in the 90's)
What does what he did as a 16 yr old have to do with today?  Boy I thought that that was supposed to be private when under 18.  And he is not the present Bush.
this board is so unrepresentative of America.  it is the looney left.  some of us actually like accountability, and think people can handle themselves; thus, the republican party.
Mark, Union, NJ

If you recall we elected Clinton twice...He has the morals of an alley cat. Where were his morals when he was screwing around with Monica in the OVAL OFFICE, and teh others he was screwing around with while governor of Arkansas...Not saying the Bush' are any better, but people in glass houses...
Hillary has no morals either.
Dear, Rick - Syracuse, NY. I must say you really are ignorant. Were do you get your information, CNN.

Rudy 2008!!!
maybe he was drunk when he made the endorsement;  he meant to say Ann Coulter
"What a total bunch of idiot respondents"

You fit right in.
AAAANNNNDDDD Hillary Rodham Clinton will be our next president. HAW! HAW! Crybaby republicans? OHHHH yes, we will see millions of whiney, sissy crybabies on election day. WOOOO WEEEE!! Can't wait.
Cella <gives cheer>  I was thinking the same thing as I read through these... Mississipi and Georgia  (remind me not to visit there)

George Bush IS the worst president in the history of the United States.  This isn't coming from a democrat, I like to keep my options open and not vote blindly.

All you have to do is look at the state of the country compared to what it was 6 and a half years ago.  Bumbling idiot has dumbed down the entire country with his FAKE southern roots.  I have never been more embarassed as an American than to have this buffoon appointed once and elected once to represent me.
Jack, not only was Roosevelt (a democrat) the President when we entered the war in WWII, but his successor Harry Truman (also a liberal Democrat) ended the war by using the A Bomb on Japan! We also had a Democratic President who led the country to victory in WWI....Think about it!
Pleassssssse.  Get with it you ignorant people....
The real danger to our place in the world is the ignorant people who do not back their own president.  So you may stick with the Hildabeasts/Clintonites of the world. This is all due to the lack of world understanding. You all refuse to see what the real message is behind the Bush Administration.

Ya'all forgot the Twin towers, which rained down our countrymen falling hundreds of stories instead of being burnt to death?

Well I tell you I never will. I am proud of the Bush family and what he is doing to keep my family safe.  How do you sleep at night?  Pretty good I bet. Thank your President.  Not the leftists who would soon allow terrorists to make your daughters, mothers, and Grandmothers wear burkas..... Or off with their heads....Duh..... Gilroy CA.....
You idiots!  What do you think will happen WHEN we can no longer import oil from the Middle East?  Our economy will be shot.  Better start getting used to hunting and gathering ...
Somebody said on the radio today the Republicans are coming down to FL any day now to get Jeb Bush to run for President.  I say Giuliani gets the nomination because he has the "Smarm Factor" going for him.
Okay Jerry, I just can't take it anymore.  Jerry, children are being given birth control because "children" are getting pregnant without it.  The question is not will they start havig sex if we give them birth control but rather can we prevent pregnancies by having the birth control available.  I'd rather prevent pregnancies than stick my head in the sand and pretend that sex is not occuring among young teens.  I can tell you this, lack of information on sex and birth control doesn't stop teens from having sex no matter how much you wish it were so.  You know these are the same idiots that get all self righteous about abortions.  They want to prevent abortions and in the same breath they want to limit access to birth control.  You just can't have it both ways. So Jerry get off that bandwagon.
