Congratulations, Mr. Obama. You deserve it.
Amen I am in St.Louis Obama we will deliver for you
Obama 08!
These unions that endorse Obama or Edwards are showing some back bone.
It takes courage to stand up to the Clinton 'mean machine'.

Considering Mark Penn is a 'union buster', why did the AFT support Clinton ?
It seems odd.
Makes me proud to be a Kansan!
Makes me proud to be a Kansan!
Endorsements are not worth the paper they are printed on.  We'll see if the "show-me" state SEIU will "show-up" to the polls!!
GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations, Barack!
We'll see you in Denver, August, '08!
NO WAY HE CAN WIN
Thank you to SEIU for those endorsements for Senator Obama.

Barack Obama's support of working men and women has been clear throughout his whole life.
GO SEIU
JC, StL Missouri:  I guess the only endorsements that count are the ones that go to Hillary?
I'm still voting for Edwards in the Missouri primary.
Who is Obama. Why did he plan plan to run for a presidency? Because he is half black, half white? If that was his primary reason to do so he is mistaken. Race has nothing to do with running for the highest post in the nation. Rather it has to do with capability, sinserety and most of all accountability. If he is all of these and more, he might have a good bet not because of his mixed race as many ould like us to bleive.
Wish the Dems could run Obama, Hillary and Edwards on one presidential ticket.  Then we could clean them all out of politics in one election.
Pretty sad when this is the best news the Obama campaign has.  He has been far behind Hillary for months and has fallen even further behind in the last month or so. Hillary is now polling at 50% or above in a field of 8 candidates which is amazing and a real testament to the quality of the campaign she has run.

Obama has no relevant experience to offer at this time. Two years in the US senate hardly prepares someone for the presidency.  Obama and Edwards never had a chance against Hillary – she is simply too strong amongst democrats to beat.

The National said they weren't endorsing anyone. Some other states have endorsed Edwards. What's the tally on who endorsed who?
Great thanks to the SEIU for backing the best candidate. Congratulations Barack! Obama '08!
At this very moment Vanreuter, NY NY is experiencing a brain aneurysm.  How can it be that the inevitable Hillary doesn't get all the endorsments?
The reality is that the '08 election will be determined in the purple states like CO, AZ, NV, NM, MI and Montana.  Hillary cannot carry those states.
csh, IL:  You are by far the biggest idiot on this blog...Obama at 10% capacity is better than Hillary at 100% capacity.
To Real Democrat, Ok CSH, IL is stupid, but before you give him the "biggest idiot award" please consider the comments of Thomas Aby!
Thomas Aby, is that you annefrank of dailykos fame? yikes.

annie has weirdest tin foil hat conspiracies.
Obama is real Hillary is washington corruption..and we can not wait 8 years without assurance, with war...Clinton cant convaince republicans but Obama can vote Obama to stop CLINTON-BUSH familly.. 40000 died ,3000wounded now again IRAN war ????? where are we going with Clinton again???????????where? where?
Please go to Obama's website and read his speeches and points of view. You could also read his two books. His writing shows his tremendous intelligence and depth of person. His upbringing and mixed race has established in him the ability to see issues from all sides,to think reasonablly, to unify and ultimately to problem solve and get things done.
hmmm, this is a slap at edwards (not CLinton)... anyone know they dumped Edwards?
Do you really think Hilary is for the little guy?!This is the only good news for Obama my arse!!He has raised nearly 2.1Mil in two days from grassroots small donations. Hildabeast(as she's known in my house)takes lots of money from lobbies and PAC's.Obama refuses to do so.Hildabeast is running for her own glory, Obama is running for us.
* Degree from Columbia University in Political Science / International Relations
* Community organizer/activist in the poorest part of Chicago
* Civil rights attorney
* Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School
* President of the Harvard Law Review
* Constitutional law Professor
* Illinois State Senator for 8 years, passing legislation creating healthcare for 150,000 citizens, ethics reform, and the videotaping of interrogations to prevent coercion
* An honest, positive force for true change in our government and our lives
If you think Hildabeast has more governing experience than Obama you are simply wrong. If elected President Obama will have 11 years to her 8.She is pretending that being 1st Lady gives her leadership experience to be Pres. All she really earned as 1st lady is alot of corrupt bagage and humiliation on a world stage from her husbands infedelity.
It's going to be great when NY SEIU make there annoucement.
"Real Democrat" Being referred to as an idiot by you is actually a perverse form of flattery.  I’m not sure you’ll know what that means though.

I must have hit a nerve - I guess it must be depressing to hate Hillary and have to face the fact that she is winning this race.
you can go to the dialy kos website and view Hilary and Obama's voting record on the votes where they were both present. Obama voted progressively 17 times and Hilary progressively only 4 times. The rest she voted with the Republicans. She votes like them then bashes them out of the other side of her mouth.Obama says what he means the 1st time and stands behind it.
Obama promised a different kind of campaign “The Politics of Hope” but has had to resort to attacks as he falls further and further behind Hillary in polls and money.

Also, Obama and Hillary have IDENTICAL voting records related the Iraq war with one exception – Obama voted to confirm Gen Pace and Hillary voted against him.

Why don’t you tell us what these votes were that Hillary voted with the Republicans?  I’ll anxiously await your response.  Here’s hoping you can back up your argument with facts.
Isn't it interesting that MSM hasn't given MA Gov Deval Patrick's endorsement of Senator Obama the same attention it gave to John Lewis' endorsement of Hillary Clinton?  No one can discount John Lewis' place in history and contributions to the African American community.  I know I owe him a huge debt of gratitude that I can only repay by fully exploiting the opportunities that he and others created for me.  But all that said, John Lewis has NO political influence on the national level.  Outside of GA and old guard of the civil rights movement, he has very little name recognition left. We witnessed 23 years ago that his endorsement of Walter Mondale over Jesse Jackson did not move one measurable percentage of the Black vote away from Jesse Jackson.  With all that said, it seems odd that the MSM would give his endorsement such importance, but, by comparison, give very little coverage thus far to Gov Patricks' endorsement of Senator Obama.  Not only can he have great influence in his neighboring state of NH, but Patrick is only the 2nd African American to be elected governor in the ENTIRE history of the country.  That's significant, especially in comparison to a congressman from GA.  But of course fair coverage wouldn't feed the MSM's narrative of Senator Obama not being "Black enough", eventhough apparently Mr. 'Blacker than thou', Jesse Jackson, wasn't "Black enough" for the civil rights establishment in '84.  Then again, he probably was "too Black" for them.
If Hilary is such natural leader and Obama so inexperienced, why did he make a speech at an anti-war rally in 2002, predicting to the tee what the results of this war would be? He was told not to risk losing his senate race because of this stance, but he speaks in truths. Hilary voted to allow Bush to take us to war,now saying she was voting for inspections Yeah right, so who's the naive one? She has no judgement and votes with the political winds.
cash...is that short for cash, as in Hsu cash? Keep referring to your Vinod Gupta-generated polls and Mark Penn's pulling polls out of his arse to buttress your notion that Hillary has that big of a lead. Meanwhile, us Obama supporters will continue to outraise her, outorganize her and deliver more voters to the polls come primary season. This is a battle against the entrenched Democratic establishment almost as much as it's against the Repugnantcan establishment. Since they both represent the same Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton  dynasty, it's time for both to go away and a breath of fresh air to replace them. That change, that REAL change, is embodied in Barack Obama. And csh, one last thing, one challenge for you. Please list for me and the others why Hillary is perceived to have more experience than Obama?
Great News , this will give the other chapters more courage to back Barack !
csh,IL and the rest of you haters: Obama 08! we will not be stopped!   oh & thomas aby is it? you are hilarious, does anyone ever take you seriously?
During the Youtube debates Obama said he would meet with the leader of Iran in the first year of his presidency without precondition, a complete and different point of view then the Bush Administration. Hilary took the Bushlite stance and called Obama naive and inexperienced. Now she with all her grand judgement has given her signature to open the door on Iran to Bush. She now says she would meet with Iranian pres without precondition. She is a fraud.
BC-BC stands Before Change
America is waking up from the Bush Clinton amnesia

Bill is right, GIVE (title of his latest book) americans a Break
barack the vote
Obama is still the candidate of hope and change. Hilary tried to bash him many times and whenever he points out the diffences between them based on the facts, her campaing cries out "foul, what about the politics of hope?" what nobody's suppose to point out her truths, because why, shes a woman?!! I thought she wasn't running on that fact, but on her imaginary experience.
csh, you don't really subscribe to that old Hillary rant about Obama's attacking her do you? I figured you for a little more experienced, a little less naive than that. Hillary loves to be seen as the victim - she's not. When Obama made his pledge he was talking about the personal attacks that so define the Repugnantcans. He never said he wasn't going to point out Hillary's or any other candidate's flip flops, half truths and errors in judgment. It's come time, now as people are starting to pay attention to the race, for Obama to draw the critical distinctions between him and Hillary. For one, her blatant error on Iraq and the huge miscalculation on Iran. This nomination fight is more about judgment than experience - of which Obama has more than Hillary. Now that's a fact, csh. I know you've been anxiously awaiting our reply. I just backed my argument with facts. I'm still anxiously awaiting your reply on why you think Hillary has more experience than Barack.
Massachusetts SEIU union endorses Edwards -

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2007/10/massachusetts_u.html

That's 4 SEIU chapters for Obama, 11 for Edwards... none for Clinton.
MSNBC, why the bias against Obama?
You guys give one or two sentences coverage about Obama when it is positive but you write a full page about Hillary when the news is "Hillary sneezes!"

Where is the context? where is the meat?
Good point Dawn,

How about Deval Patrick's endorsement for Obama? It shows a clear bias when you guys ignore this and write an endorsement of Hillary by Carole Simpson who is a retired ABC news anchor who used to fill in on weekends and very few people know unless they are real news junkies. Shame on you MSNBC!
