Obama camp responds to Romney

Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton issues this statement about Romney mixing up Obama's and Osama bin Laden's names today: "Apparently, Mitt Romney can switch names just as casually as he switches positions, but what's wrongheaded is continuing a misguided war in Iraq that has left America less safe. It's time to end the divisiveness and fear-mongering that is at the heart of Gov. Romney's campaign."

*** UPDATE *** After a house party in Merrimack, N.H., reporters asked Obama for his reaction to Romney mistaking him for bin Laden. He said, "I don't pay too much attention to Mitt Romney."

Obama is right not to pay too much attention to Romney's tripe.

What scares me is that many mentally challenged American voters, of which there are millions, WILL pay attention.

It's the same sort of theatrics Romney used when he stood next to a girl with a sign that said, "Obama/Osama, and Chelsea's momma!" he had a big smile back then too. This guy is gross. What all these neocon nuts like Romney need to do is lean back against the ample silicon enhanced cleavage of their trophy wives, lest they fall off the stage and crumble into unranium depleted dust all at once. They're out of touch, out of time, and out of line when they attack a good man like Barack Obama with childish name calling and try to make him look bad. In effect, what morons like Romney wind up doing is just taking us all for a ride on the top of the ol'd station wagon, like he did when he tied his cocker spaniel to the roof of his car for an interstate trip in the 80s as was documented. Don't be the dog on the roof, condemn this moron's words against Obama and demand he makes a public apology!

How readily you all forget. Teddy (hiccup) Kennedy did the same thing to Obama, what, three or four years ago. At that time, the reaction was "He mis-spoke! An innocent mistake! Osama/Obama! Chuckle, chuckle, ha, ha!". Where was Obama's statement of disgust and indignation then? I guess any offense taken had to be shelved when it was over something said by the Big Red Nose. But with Romney, it HAS to be an evil Republican dirty political trick, orchestrated by Karl Rove, no doubt. Ooh, scary. Typical liberals picking and choosing your outrage, living by the double-standard, instead of standing on principle. And you wonder why people have trouble trusting you guys.
