NH senator endorses Romney

Posted: Monday, October 29, 2007 10:53 AM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/National Journal’s Erin McPike
On the morning of his filing in New Hampshire, Romney got a nice boost to his Granite State campaign. Senior Sen. Judd Gregg (R) endorsed Romney and will join him in Concord for his presidential filing.

GOP strategist Mike Murphy, who had a business relationship with Romney until early last year and worked in 2000 for McCain -- who won the state -- was once unimpressed with Gregg’s backing. Gregg had supported Bush eight years ago, but Murphy told the New York Times that the help of Gregg’s team was less of a boon and more hype, saying, “They can't even deliver a pizza.”

Still, Romney’s announcement of the endorsement today noted that “in 2004, he received the highest number of votes in any election in the state’s history.”

With Romney's huge lead in Iowa ( http://www.campaigndiaries.com/2007/10/romney-crushes-field-in-iowa-democrats.html ), it appears more and more likely that he will manage a one-two punch in IA-NH, making the nomination essentially his...
Who cares ?
Lets wait till the votes are counted.
With Romney as the GOP nominee, the Dems will be in the white house in 2008 for sure!  He's an idiot flip flopping panderer of the worst kind! He's a bush clone! We're sick of the culture war he's sure to keep fightin! We're sick of idiots who pander to the religious freaks with nonsensical stuff like family values! Last I checked, we're fighting a terrorist war, we're in deep environmental global warming trouble, we're on the edge of a health care disaster, our economny is being held together by chewing gum and rubber bands, and China is being allowed to buy us up one by one! Oh, yes, Family Values. That's the ticket to solving our problems. Its BS, and we all know it. It hasn't made things better for us having voted that way for Bush and company.  We're waking up to this crap.
There is NO WAY this country will have a Mormon president. aint gonna happen, sorry.
A Mormon could win sometime...just not this idiot.
Romney would be a disaster for teh GOP and for the country. Gregg's endorsement means nothing; Southern NH is a Boston suburb...Romney was going to win NH anyway. The battle there has always been for 2nd, and with Fred ignoring NH, the Granite State isn't really important, except maybe to the chattering classes.

Daniel, Mitt will win IA and NH, but no one else is really competing....he'll get smoked on 2/5/08, and will be history.
There is NO WAY this country will have a Catholic president. aint gonna happen, sorry.
