Obama and social security

Posted: Tuesday, October 30, 2007 10:17 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ's Aswini Anburajan
Obama has repeatedly pushed on the stump the idea that the best possible solution for social security is raising the cap on taxing income up to $97,000.  He never says that "all the options are on the table."

But one of the points that have been brought up critiquing "raising the cap" on social security is that there is no guarantee put forward by Obama that he would put those taxes into lockbox for social security.

Oh and voters love HRC's "I would create a commission".  Wow, that's really a tough stand!   Go Hillary... create a commission!  That is some tough talk!
Social Security, I can hear the loud hum of the third rail, it will burn and knock you out. It is one idea and possibly the least offensive to many americans. Lets all watch the anti-tax crowd argue whats wrong with this idea. I bet we hear some duzzies. We must as a scoiety take care to help all americans live the dream, if not we are just a bunch of fatalists and should never claim to be a christian nation again. My god and my country should be helpful, anything else is medieval.
