Richardson on Roswell

Seriously, Richardson, the governor of New Mexico, called on the government to declassify all Roswell documents. He brought it up himself when Chris Matthews was joking about Kucinich's UFO answer. He said the government hasn't "come clean" on the issue. His campaign will surely say he was joking, he has a sense of humor. But even though he was laughing in some parts of that answer, he wasn't joking about THAT.

Matthews looked on in disbelief and joked that this is shaping up to be a contest between the de-evolution party and the pro-UFO party.

Seeing a UFO isn't nearly as "bad". A UFO could be anything, not necessarily extraterrestrial, just an anomalous object in the sky. However, talking about Roswell in those terms is more explicitly claiming belief in extraterrestrial life.

there's plenty of evidence that non-terrestrial crafts and beings visit our planet - there's even an FBI document on the FBI web site from the period after Roswell that describes the Air Force stating they recovered a craft and non-human bodies. Dozens of government agents have come forward to discuss experiences and evidence of ET presence. It's official policy and encoded law for the government to hide the truth about this issue and other national security issues. There is ET interaction with the covert governing structure in the USA and some other countries. So one sees an air craft /object that one can't identify? A UFO if just that. They DO exist. Some people who call themselves "Skeptics" are foolish to deny that fact---especially if the observer merely reports an observation and makes NO assertions as to it being necessarily "Extraterrestial". So, on the one hand we've got story after story from MSNBC on the Bush administration's secrecy about Iraq et al, but on the other, one is casually ridiculed when he complains about the Government's penchant to keep a decades worth of secrets on UFOs (going back to the 1940s).

I'd sure that Mr. Montanaro was this tough with Mr. Richardson on those issues like his crazy health care plan, or the idea that precipitously raising taxes improves economic growth.

Given that Mr. Richardson was a very high ranking official in the Clinton administration, I'd imagine that his opinion on this subject (UFOs) is just a bit more informed than Mr. Montanaro. Perhaps Mr. Montanaro, rather than engaging in a thinly veiled ad hominem attack would instead present his readers with the reasons why he believes Mr. Richardson is incorrect in his assertion. Then again, in doing so, Mr. Montanaro might be considered a journalist...and God forbid, we can't have people like that in the media anymore.

Corso lived with the knowledge of what really happened there for years before writing this book. Gov. Richardson knows, as did his predecessor in 1947, that this was covered up by the United States government. Three hundred first and second hand witnesses? They know who flew the debris to Wright Patterson. They know who guarded the bodies. They know some that collected the debris. These people are sitting in our retirement homes, refusing to talk. Unfortunately, the government is using their sense of duty against them. This should not be a secrecy issue any more. Problems with the shuttle? Oil prices? Energy prices? All solved with disclosure of the technology that has been recovered from the Roswell crash.

I don’t know what Kucinich saw but I am sure he saw something that he could not explain. Richardson is right we should declassify all the information on any incidents that have become Urban Legends. That way the issue can be fully debated and hopefully solved. That includes all the documents on JFK etc. I believe in the governments reporting of facts but I hate the way the government allows people of more suspicious minds to create this cloud of doubt. By the way if there is any doubt about the attack of 9/11 that it was the government then there are nuts that will never be satisfied with what they see with their own eyes.

Jimmy Carter made a campaign promise to release all classified documents about UFOs. While governor of Georgia, he wrote to the U.S. Government that he had seen a UFO. Listen folks, I don't know how many of you may have heard of Lieutenant Colonel Phillip J. Corso former Chief of Foreign Technology Division of the United States Department of Defense, but he wrote a book titled "The Day After Roswell" in which he claims that the Roswell event DID involve alien space-craft. Now listen, this man worked at the Pentagon folks!! He was the highest ranking offical to ever make this claim and while on his death bed, he testified that he had told the truth about the event in his book. I have read his book with some skepticism but it wasn't long before I could not ignore the distinct air of truth in his account. All of the pieces begin to fit together. His account is incredible and very compelling. A MUST READ!

If you really want to be concerned about something, be concerned about Pakistan with its nuclear capability or about terrorist plans to acquire a dirty nuclear bomb. I know these concerns have the flaw of accuracy, but I'd still recommend putting them at the top of the list.
