Paper flying

From NBC/NJ's Carrie Dann
Ouch! The Rudy camp just sent out a snarky release attacking Biden for his slams at Giuliani.  They're reaching back to Biden's failed 1987 campaign, which was derailed after allegations of plagiarism.  It's something that is very rarely brought up, at least here in Iowa.

From Giuliani's press shop: "The good Senator is quite correct that there are many differences between Rudy and him.  For starters, Rudy rarely reads prepared speeches and when he does he isn’t prone to ripping off the text from others.  And, Senator Biden certainly falls in to the bucket of those on the stage tonight who have never had executive experience and have never run anything.  Wait, I take that back, Senator Biden has never run anything but his mouth."

That smarts!

Team Biden, for its part, issued  a list of instances during the debate when rivals complimented the Delaware senator. “The phrase most often heard on the stage tonight was, “Joe is right,” followed closely by the phrase, “I agree with Joe," says Biden campaign manager Luis Navarro.

*** UPDATE *** No one can accuse Team Biden of being sluggish.  It only took Biden's camp 27 minutes to react to the Giuliani release that brought up his less-than-proud moment 20 years ago.

From Communications Director Larry Rasky:
“We are well aware that former Mayor Giuliani will attempt to drag this race into the mud where the Republicans like to wage their campaigns. It’s pretty obvious that they can’t defend themselves on the real charge that Mr. Giuliani walked away from the cops and firefighters who were waiting for the 9/11 Commission to be enacted and the Biden crime bill to be restored.”

It appears you are only concerned with the chance to repreat Republican wise-cracks not in the serious issues of war and public policy in the presidential debates.
He said several times that he does NOT believe in UFO's and the government should declassify the documents to clear up all this nonsense.  I think he was quite clear about that.  To even suggest otherwise is to completely misinterpret his comments.
Joe IS right.  Julie is a one trick pony and a fraud - a noun, a verb, and 9-11 in every sentence.
Rudy Giuliani, "most uninformed person on foreign policy running for president."  Joe Biden

Rudy Giuliani, "total wackjob.  Don't let him get his finger on a trigger, any trigger, especially not the nuclear one."  Me.
One problem, Biden didnt plagiarise. At least from what I remember.
Senator Biden just demonstrated how he quick he will be against the mudslinging in the general election.
I have never been so certain about a candidate as I am about Biden.
As a republican, I would probably vote democrate if Guliani won the republican nomination.  Besides 9-11, really hasn't done much.  Agree with Biden on this one.
With Clinton holding a huge lead among Democrats in national opinion polls ahead of the November 2008 election, rivals Barack Obama, John Edwards, Chris Dodd, Bill Richardson and Joseph Biden all took turns aiming shots at the New York senator in hopes of bringing her back to the pack.

Who do you think won the Philadelphia NBC - MSNBC News Democratic Presidential Debate?

.
If this was academia, them be fightin words, but he's a politician, water off a ducks back.
Who in their right mind would try to make this a real issue, oh yeah, Rudy, the dummy with Podheritz's hand up his butt. he sounds like the little train that could, I think I can, I think, I can, I can think
you know, I think.
I agree with those who feel Giuliani is the best candidate, and I disagree that Clinton is the better choice on the Democratic side. There really isn't any good choice there, and she of all, is least favored. A debate is suppose to show how candidates differ, and those who attacked her had a right to, for if it were you and she had a substantial lead, you would as well show that she is a flip-flopper, and thus deserves to be put on the spot. Not only that, she is a deceptive human being, a liar, and a manipulator with no self respect. To be with a person (Bill) just to boost your political agenda, regardless of how loyal they are cannot deserve respect. It is something they all must earn. To say we must leave Iraq immediately... it is too late for that, the war is on, the war will continue, and there will be even greater challenges ahead. The USA cannot hide or run any longer. Blaming anyone for that is immature and irresponsible. Clinton has no experience with the level of seriousness this entails nor does she have credible answers. As well, none of them do, which is why a Republican will win. It is not a popularity contest; it is a choice for the greater person that has the best chance of getting priorities completed successfully. This takes previous experience with business and a level of success unsurpassed by others.
PS. She won the debate at 40%? Are people blind or just nuts?! I vote for nuts!
Sounds like its down and dirty time.  So what else is new.  Why work on the issues.  It doesn't matter, none of you are going to fix anything.  You just want to keep that government paycheck and that fat pension coming in when its all over.
This just shows how strong Biden is. With this upstanding and quick response he simply blew the Republican out of the water. We should start paying attention to who our real leader is. THAT WAS AWESOME!
Biden all the way!  I am excited to see him doing so well in the debates and last night clearly demonstrated, yet again, why Joe Biden should be leading this country.  Right now the polls are all about name recognition and I anticipate Joe Biden will continue to move up in the polls, as he is currently doing in Iowa, and will eventually be the Dem. nominee.  He is certainly the best candidate to take on the Repubs. and is the most electable candidate from either party.
Joe Biden won the evening hands down...I hope all who have posted positively here will send what they can to his campaign...
"Wait, I take that back, Senator Biden has never run anything but his mouth."

-- substitute Mayor Giuliani and ass; now it reads correctly.  On second thought that diarrhea is from his mouth. Rudy has such class; really he is nothing but a thug in the mold of Mussolini.
Yes, Biden won even though he got the fewest questions and the least amount of time according to the Dodd clock.  THE CORONATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED--THE VOTERS WILL DECIDE.
Rudy Giuliani on 9/10 was having eggs thrown at him.  He was despised by the minority community, he was considered a maniacal headcase by most New Yorkers and granted 9/11 gave him an opportunity to use his power grabbing style and take charge when the City needed it. Mike Bloomberg would have done the same with less ego and greater productivity.

Ask Police Commisioner Bratton in Los Angeles how he feels about Giuliani.  Ask the next two police commisioners (Safir & Kerik) who were tied up in civil, criminal & ethics charges about their former boss.  Ask his two former wives how he treated their lives together and how well he could be trusted.  See how he spent like a drunken sailor and left a fiscal mess for Mayor Bloomberg.  Compare Rudy to Christie Whitman.  The US thought Christie Whitman, then Governor of New Jersey, a darling of the Republican party and in reality she was despised by most of her home state and barely won re-election against a first term candidate.  Rudy is the same, the US doesn't know Rudy, but New Yorkers do.  Oh, it took another US prosecuter to get John Gotti to jail, Rudy got beat three times by Bruce Cutler and please look no further than Rudy's own dad as far as family values.  He served a great deal of time in jail.
Joe Biden, in my opinion, won last night's debate in Philadelphia. Please give him an honest review. He's a straight talker with commanding knowledge of the issues. Joe's message can resonate in the 'Red States' and actually bring the country together.
