Mondale endorses Clinton

Posted: Sunday, November 04, 2007 3:18 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Athena Jones
CLINTON, IA, -- At a lodge here along the Mississippi River, Clinton received the support of former Vice President and presidential candidate Walter Mondale.

Mondale, who was the first presidential candidate to choose a woman as his running mate, stressed Iowa's importance in the nomination process and urged people to come out and help Clinton make history. "Much is expected of you because, time and again, the citizens of Iowa have been showing themselves willing to take the extra step to get the job done. In Iowa, you just don't vote in the caucuses. You've got to go to the caucuses and you've to stay at those caucuses until the last vote is taken," he said.

The former vice president said Clinton's experience in public life and as first lady made her uniquely qualified to be president, and that she would be a president who would put people, their families, and the needs of Americans first. After a tough week for Clinton -- which included her stumble during the Democratic debate and intense criticism from her rivals in both parties -- Mondale applauded what he called her positive campaign.

"One thing I like about her campaign is that she's stayed focused on her positive vision for change. She knows this is not the time to tear down our fellow Democrats with personal attacks," he said.

Clinton told the audience she was honored to be here with Mondale. "I urge you to participate, and I ask you to consider my candidacy," Clinton said. She then asked that the podium be moved so that she could address the crowd more informally.

"If I could have some help, we're going to get this podium out of the way here and I think that a couple of strong young men could come up, and even some strong young women, and move this out of the way," she said to chuckles in the audience.

After her stump speech, the senator answered questions on Social Security, abortion, low birth-weight babies, regulating industries, and how to prevent so many wars.

Mondale stated that Hillary would bring "change".
I almost laughed out loud. I've been online for 10 years and EVERY time I have signed on,  I have had to look at Hillary on one site or another. That's 3650 times. I simply couldn't stand another 4 years. I wish she would do us all a favor and drop out of sight -- maybe go home and be a homemaker or something uniquely female -- wife and mother?? --
and let us breathe some fresh air.

1)  I don't trust any Republican - full stop!  I give all of them a grade of Z- (by comparison, Satan and Osama bin Laden get an F-).

2)  I don't trust any of the Democratic candidates - all but Barack Obama get a Z-.

3)  Don't cheer, Obama - you need four more years of experience.  I give you a grade of 'incomplete'.

4)  I have lost all respect for Senator Mondale, for endorsing a DLC supported candidate (DLC=666).  But also, Mondale has endorsed Hillary's non-answer 'answers' - to me, anyone who cannot tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth while running for office is a traitor, and should be executed.

For her to be executed would be appropriate karma, since she supported the unwarranted execution of Rickey Ray Rector (issues involved detailed at http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9E0CEED91F3EF936A15752C0A964958260&n=Top/Reference/Times%20Topics/People/C/Clinton,%20Bill.

5)  GOP also equals 666.

6)  There is only one person who is fit to be elected President in 2008 - the junior Senator from Wisconsin, who is a better Christian than all the GOP voters, employees, and officeholders, DLC, Mormons, Catholics, Southern Baptists, reprobate rapist Nigerian-supported Episcopalians, and NRA members and Faux news employees - combined.

7)  I would rather be burned at the stake, dipped in hydrofluoric acid, treated 100 times worse than a Jew at Auschwitz, and burn in hell, than vote for anyone else but Russ Feingold.

8)  If Hillary doesn't like that, she can shoot me like the treasonous coward that she is, having one of her enforcers do it, in the back - if she wasn't a coward, she would not give 'non-answer' answers, and she would shut down her attack-dog response office.

9)  She's just like the boys now - avaricious, evil, rapine, seeking power at any and all costs.  This is not a positive, Hillary.
John Edwards 2008.

He is the only Democrat with a comprehensive agenda. It's on his site. Check it out!
