Is Fred borrowing an Obama line?

From NBC's Mark Murray and NBC/NJ's Aswini Anburajan
In David Gregory's interview on the trail with Thompson, which aired on TODAY this morning, Thompson said: "You gotta have change that people believe in. You've got to have changers who have credibility, and I like to think that's my history in politics."

An Obama spokesman -- who points out that Obama supporters held thousands of signs at Saturday's Jefferson Jackson dinner in Iowa that read, "Change you can believe in" -- tells First Read: "I guess it's more credible than him saying he's 'Fired up and ready to go.'"

The slogan "Change you can believe in" also headlined Obama's most recent campaign swing through Iowa.

Fred is welcome to borrow Obama's line as long as he discloses it to the public. America people know what is genuine and fake. If Obama become the democratic nominee the republican party cannot attack him the way they will attack Hillary Clinton.
Imitation...the mose sincere form of flattery!
obama's latest slogan:

INEXPERIENCE WORKS, JUST ASK BUSH!
Fred said "You've got to have changers who have credibility, and I like to think that's my history in politics"

-- would a Fred Thompson supporter please inform us on the changes that he has brought about during his history in politics? Does he plan further changes? Inquiring minds want to know.
He could borrow a line from Hillary Clinton, but he has to ask himself....

1.  Is it planted?
2.  Is it not a two sided question?
3.  Will it get him in trouble with Waitresses and Chinese dishwashers?
I am amazed that all you want to discuss is the triviality of an election that is a year away. Bush has vetoed a health/education bill that will help are children's future while he wants another 200 billion for wars. He has called himself a "WAR" president and as long as he and Dick have their wars he doesn't care about the fact that your grandchildren will be paying for their wars from their hospital beds. Yes!! We need "Change you can believe in".
Fred was asked what he has changed. "Depends" he answered.

"Just 7 weeks before the Iowa Caucuses and Saturday night in Des Moines belonged to Barack Obama!" --David Shuster on Hardball

The whole day was Obama's: a pre dinner rally with 4000, that then marched to the dinner hall. A huge show of support in the hall drawfing Hillary's section.

Here's a clip from Obama's JJ dinner speech that hit is out of the park:

'-- would a Fred Thompson supporter please inform us on the changes that he has brought about during his history in politics?'

then could obama answer too?
an empty suit

Fred also stole a Huckabee line when he said in  SC, "Governor, you can't buy South Carolina. You can't even rent South Carolina." This was directly stolen from Huckabee's Ames Straw Poll speech. I'd love to see the press ask the question all of this begs: Does Fred Thompson have any ideas of his own?
If anyone listens to the candidates on both sides of the aisle, it seems that they are all trying to act or sound(using his slogans and style) like B Obama. I will go with the original.

Obama08 for the fierce urgency of now.
Fred was asked what he has changed. "Depends" he answered.

Haha.
Fred needs all the help he can get.  He is looking wicked bad these days too.
It would be good if all the runners could be as cool as Obama and Hillary.  No need to attack  each other, the wee bit of difference between the Dem's is barely visible. We all want peace and prosperity.
Obama has a "plant" of his own.  Obama leaves nothing to chance:

To Tofun Disney,

Bush is a horrible president, but he had lots of experience. His father was a president. I thought you agreed that experience was gained through osmosis?

But seriously, Bush did have experience. He was a governor of Texas. As you can see, experience is not as important as you make it out to be.
Fred the entertainer. He reads scripts. He has no substance but does have a folksy delivery.
It's obvious.  Thompson is campaigning for Obama.  Good for him.
I would venture to say that Ron Paul is the candidate that has the most credibility and character of any candidate running for president.  He has consistently upheld his views in EVERY SINGLE VOTE.

Tofun,Disney...'

Did anyone else notice that Tofun,Disney appeared at the same time van moved to a 'higher plane of existance'

Is Tofun really van in drag ?
A harder hitting van ?
No more 'Mr. nice guy' van ?

Gee, van....
Did you REALLY miss us that much !!
Fred is borrowing from everybody and anybody, as he has absolutely no original thought on his own. If it aint in the script, forget it!!
It's ironic that there was once a radio program that made the claim..."the Shadow knows..."

Van
Fred, friends, was using code about his roots to his three TOP challengers, Guiliani, Romney, and McCain.

He's been Mr. Drucker of Green Acres, compared to those 3 city-slickers. By sending this code he's sayiing that those guys are no better than carpetbaggers or snake-oil salesmen who come around periodically to get a quick sale and be gone and unreachable when things go wrong.

It's a cultural and regional thing, but MORE cultural , now, with all those Reagan Democrats who are looking across the gulf of economic disparity to Reagan's shining city on the Hill whichthey can't even afford to visit.
well everybody follows a leader....ask Honda and now ask Obama.

In Mexico, for the week, but I do notice a few things that was not present in this commentary.

Van can't post winning polls anymore.

Hillary is fired up but her only fires are the one in her campaign and they are not good campfires.

Can someone shut Bill up already?  This two for 1 is starting to look like a Christmas gift some people cannot wait to return.

I watched Saturday night and it was great.  What you have seen from Fred, Hillary, Edwards and the rest is a deer in a headlights copycat response with no original ideas.

It's called 'follow the leader'.  It happens to Obama all the time.

Just wondering though.  Do Ron Paul supporters actually DO anything besides spam every other candidate's blogs and story comments? Their presence on YouTube seems like a full time job in itself.

I sometimes get the feeling there is this large warehouse building somewhere with no windows and hundreds of little computer stations where RonPaul worker bees are busily scouring the internet for anything that doesn't have Ron Paul in the title.  You know, just in case someone in cyberspace hasn't heard of the the CFR.
Nuanced:

Thanks for the laugh. Sometimes things get so heated on this blog that a bit of humor is very welcome.

See, I told you so.
Even REAL Neo-Cons like Thompson are using Obama's lines.
Well, I guess they might as well use HIS 'stuff, since he's using THEIR schtick from the 1990's about the Clintons.
Must be a reciprocal agreement among Neo-Cons.
Fred reads lines really well.  He doesn't much care who wrote them.
Better than fired up and ready to go!  that was a funny come back.
Van - It's ironic that someone smart enough to use the word ironic is dumb enough to miss out on my sarcasm.
Van - You'd think we could at least get along poking fun at the neocons in the GOP...
