Good point, but this would actually be the second time when someone received negative support.  I believe Bush received something like 2% support of blacks which was within the poll's 4% margin of error which meant his support could have been minus 2%!

Bob in Denver, I can kind of relate to how you feel.  Steve King isn't my Rep. but he's from Iowa.  King and Tancredo are cut from the same cloth.  The sad part is that Steve King probably represents his constituents pretty well.  I once heard one of them (I grew up in western IA) go on a rant against government gone out of control when they installed crossing gates at a railroad crossing that sees almost 100 trains/day!

I think these comments illustrate why he is running this ad.  There are too many Americans that don't take border control seriously.  

Our border control and immigration process are a disaster.  Tancredo is pointing out some of the very realistic consequences of not taking this seriously.

Mr. Tancredo is stealing a page out of the Rove book of campaigning, attempting to scare people into voting for him.  The 2004 re-election of GWB was achieved with this tactic, and the American public won't fall for it again.  He should be ashamed.

I'm a Democrat and the facts support Tancredo and his message. Apparently, telling the truth now is deemed "controversial." That's not a good sign for our country.

On the three "border issues" -- ie the terrorists, the massive drug shipments, and the foreigners who cross our borders without control by our government...

First, the FBI and CIA still hold to their estimate from several years ago that 60 terrorist cells are already here in the U.S. and that our unsecured borders provide the easy route in and easy escape out for them and others who seek to destroy us. But Tancredo is somehow inaccurate in restating this.

Second, none other than our own DEA, the Drug Enforcement Administration, has said with specific statistics and maps for everyone to look at, our southern border is how 90 percent of the drugs Americans use come into this country. To be perfectly sarcastic -- hey, it's only the losers of our society who would use drugs, so this clear threat to us doesn't really matter, does it? Doesn't really hurt our society or cause us to pay more taxes at all, does it. Tancredo states the obvious.

Third, the millions of foreigners who have come here secretly, without processing and without our approval on a case by case basis -- by following our current immigration laws -- are seemingly as important if not more important as our citizens to our elected leaders: Few speak out on behalf of citizen' rights but instead back the demands of illegals, because they have no political courage. Again, Tancredo does, and is considered strange for it. Amazing.

So that's the state of America today. Spineless leaders, another huge special interest group of foreigners that doesn't obey our laws, and an American society that apparently doesn't want something else from our leaders.

Tancredo speaks the truth, but some don't want to hear it. I applaud his efforts.

What is truly sick is that people argue Republican vs. Democrat when it should be citizens vs. politicians.

Tancredo is right. The problems of unchecked immigration in California, Texas, New Mexico is spreading like a blight into Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Idaho.
It is a matter of numbers..39 million in 7 years is more than the population of the State of California.
