ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- After speaking briefly at a restaurant, Giuliani walked outside and decided to see the neighborhood. So he took a peek next door at a

local business and decided to poke his head in, as he does sometimes on the trail. Apparently, he didn't know that Curves is a gym for women.

He saw one woman in a sweatsuit on an aerobic machine, said hello and quickly walked out to his waiting car.

I'm a man and I've walked into Curves before to successfully sell a product. I did it knowing it was Curves. I even admire the founder of Curves for moral reasons since she is staunchly pro-life as am I.

Guiliani is campaigning. If he DID walk into a gym and say, "Hey ladies, I'll let you finish your workout, but I'm Rudy Guiliani and I'm running for president. If I can count on your vote, I'd surely appreciate it," I would say THAT is news. Positive news and entirely appropriate.

This is much ado about nothing.

Women exercising at Curves are fully clothed. The exercise is low impact.

However, should a woman feel the need to change in and out sweats, as when coming from going to a job outside the home, she would do so in a closed-off back area far, from the establishment's entrance.

Wow, this is news! He walked into an establishment where women exercise. I exercise in an establishment where both men AND women exercise. It's not like he tried to go into the locker room.
