'Joe is right'

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
It's a trend we've noticed at the debates, that many of the Democratic candidates -- sometimes more than once a debate -- will say, "Joe is right" or they agree with him on one stance or another (usually foreign policy.)

The Biden campaign tries to capitalize on it with an improved version of an earlier "Joe is Right" video. This one is set to music: "You've got a friend in me" and includes text on the screen: "Not so much parsing, but certainly piling on." (References to videos from the Edwards and Clinton camps, respectively.) Then, there's a montage of the candidates agreeing with Biden.

"Sounds like they agree," appears on screen. "Joe is Right. Find out why: JoeBiden.com."

G.Davis:

You can get all the domestic info you need at JoeBiden.com under Issues.  Domestic policy - connect the dots - it is all tied to the resolution in Iraq and how we will then deal with the rest of that part of the world.  Connect the dots.  Until we cut the expenditures there, there isn't anything of significance available for domestic programs.

Joe has written significant domestic policy legislation: Violence agains woman act, the Crime bill during Clinton's terms. Go camp on his website.

As far as SoS, read my previous comment.  How much good did Colin Powell do? He was used.  His credibility was tarnished because he implemented White House crap. Foreign policy is decided at the top not by the SoS.  Do you really think Condi Rice is determining current US foreign policy??? what a joke.

If the debate moderators would let every candidate answer the same question so we could compare their positions, maybe you would be more informed from just that venue.  But no, we play the entertainment and ratings politics game not the substance of the issues approach.

Go listen to Joe's presentation at the National Press Club at JoeBiden.com under the Newscenter, Speeches menu.  Then tell me why this man hasn't been prepared by life, events, and experience to lead this country.

Ask yourself, what areas of knowledge and experience are needed the most in our next president? Everyone says we're all sick of the partisanship in Washington.  Who of the current candidates has the best track record of pulling people together on tough issues?  JOE BIDEN hands down. Certainly not Hillary. Why O why do we want to go back to the Clinton/Bush battles???  Joe said in Las Vegas that he will even appoint Republicans to his administration.  This guy commands the respect of Republicans.  What more can we possibly ask for to reduce the partisanship and get Washington to work in some semblance of action? Who else will be able to do that? Hillary says "turn up the heat" and she's fought the right wing for 35 years.  Edwards says you can't negotiate, you have to "beat them". More of the same Karl Rove divide and conquer approach.  Enough.  Just go read everything on his website.

As far as his ethnic comments, Joe grew up at a time in our history when neighborhoods were ethnic and it was considered normal.  It wasn't racial profiling, it is the way ethnic groups have immigrated and been absorbed into this society.  Give the guy credit for where he's come from and his generational position in society. It doesn't make him a racist!!! He doesn't and hasn't even lived in Washington DC. during this 30+ years in the Senate!  He's commuted to his home every day the entire time. What does that say about his family values?????

People, whatever his personality flaws, this guy is a historical gem that would make an incredibly great president. He would truly restore America's place of leadership in the world. He get's it at a level none of the other candidates come close on.

Sorry, for the verbosity, Mr. Davis. But you asked.
G Davis:

Regarding Biden's health care plan, you can find that along with his plans for many of the issues you mentioned on his website

www.joebiden.com

Regarding his experience, here is a sampling from Sourcewatch:

Biden is a long-time member of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, which he chaired from 1987 until 1995 and served as ranking minority member from 1981 until 1987 and again from 1995 until 1997. In this capacity, he has become one of the most respected Senate voices on drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties. While chairman, Biden presided over two of the more contentious U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings ever, Robert Bork in 1987 and Clarence Thomas in 1991.
Biden has been instrumental in crafting significant federal crime laws over the last decade, including the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, also known as the Biden Crime Law. He also authored the landmark Violence Against Women Act of 2000, which contains a broad array of groundbreaking measures to combat domestic violence and provides billions of dollars in federal funds to address gender-based crimes.
As chairman of the International Narcotics Control Caucus, Biden wrote the laws that created the nation's "Drug Czar," who oversees and coordinates national drug control policy. In this role, Biden continues to work to stop the spread of "date rape" drugs, such as Rohypnol, and drugs such as Ecstasy and Ketamine. In 2004 he worked to pass a bill outlawing steroids like androstenedione, the drug used by many baseball players.
Staunchly supportive of education, Biden's legislation has promoted college aid and loan programs and has allowed families to deduct on their annual income-tax returns up to $10,000 per year in higher-education expenses. His enacted Kids 2000 legislation which established a public/private partnership to help provide computer centers, teachers, Internet access, and technical training to young people across the nation, particularly to low-income and at-risk youth.
Biden's expertise in foreign policy, national security, and arms control issues has won him considerable bipartisan respect. In 1997, he became the ranking minority member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and chaired the committee from June 2001 through 2003. His efforts to combat hostilities in the Balkans in the 1990s brought national attention and influenced presidential policy: traveling repeatedly to the region, he made one meeting famous by calling Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic a "war criminal." He consistently argued for lifting the arms embargo, training Bosnian Muslims, investigating war crimes and administering NATO air strikes. Biden's subsequent "lift and strike" resolution was instrumental in convincing President Bill Clinton to use military force in the face of systematic human rights violations.
I have been a Joe Biden fan since hearing his pearls of wisdom and seeing how he interacts with those around him.  You can see that he genuinely likes being a servent to the people and not a manipulator of the people.

I have been so disappointed that the media has chosen not to give him the attention he deserves.  As far as I can see, the majority of Clinton's experience is due her marriage and not as an elected official, Obama is in his first term as Senator and Edwards served a six year term as a Senator.

I keep hoping that Joe's race for the Democratic nomination will be like the 133rd Kentucky Derby when Street Sense came from the back of the pack to win the Kentucky Derby.

Run Joe Run
I want to hear more from Joe Biden!

I feel like the election is going to be rigged. I feel the "top" candidates are paying for their air time; they have the most money. The media and stations hosting the debates are at fault for this. It's almost as if they are picking and choosing the "best" choices and supplying them to the public, when in fact, they are not the best choices. Unfortunately, not all Americans do their own research and rely on what they see on TV. If media is saying Hilary is the front runner, most Americans may vote for her, without ever hearing about a candidate like Joe Biden who is the best candidate for the presidency out of either party. This is not opinion; it's fact.

The American people deserve to hear from candidates like Joe Biden, even Chris Dodd, who have actual ideas, and who don't dance around questions or give ideas thought by other candidates who created them! This is so frustrating. The media needs to make some changes.
Clearly, the longer one is in office, the more likely he will fall into disfavor due to a vote or comment made. However, overall, Biden by his record and performance, is the most likely to "walk the walk." If you haven't seen him in action, get some taped footage of him in action. I wish the press would do him Justice.  Don't make me have to vote for Hillary because Biden didn't make it....
