Romney, Obama on air most in NH

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
Dante Scala, who teaches American politics at the University of New Hampshire, breaks down the political TV ad buys in the early state on his Granite Prof blog:

“Over the last nine months, the Romney campaign has spent $2.4 million on ads at WMUR ($2,401,360, to be exact). That's about 75 percent of all Republican presidential ad buys on that station during this calendar year. In other words, Mitt has spent three dollars in ads for every one dollar spent by the rest of the field, all year long.”

On the Democratic side, Obama was on the air most this month. “From October 30 through November 26, Obama spent just over half a million dollars ($505,595, to be exact, Cosmo) on 502 ads. Some of these were 30-second spots, others one minute in length.  (The senator from Illinois likes the60-second ads.) Put another way, Obama has spent about $125,000 a week throughout this month to air 120-135 ads, or about 18 or 19 a day.  That's a large buy by Democratic standards -- but not by Mitt Romney's standards.”

Obama has spent more $ on ads but still trails Hillary by a significant margin in N.H.
Good job Obama, that was really smart to wait until people really start to pay attention to post ads!! This guy is just great!!
We are still waiting, Mr. Obama is it yes or no ?
With the theme that the increasingly desperate-sounding Clinton campaign is pushing that Obama has essentially traded money from the Hope Fund for endorsements in the early primary and caucus states, I find it supremely ironic that one of the recipients of a contribution from the Hope Fund (in the amount of $4,200) was none other than the Senate campaign of one HillaryClinton. Given the fact that she dumped $10 million in unused money fromher Senate campaign into the Presidential campaign, it's pretty clear that the Hope Fund has indirectly supported Hillary's campaign. Since these were supposedly all about getting endorsements, I wonder when Hillary will be endorsing Barack Obama. (And FWIW, some of the other recipients have endorsed Hillary.) By the way, here's a listing of all the House candidates who got money from the Hope Fund for House races: Altmire, Jason (D-PA) $7,500 Arcuri, Michael (D-NY) $5,000 Barrow, John (D-GA) $2,500 Bean, Melissa (D-IL) $15,000 Boswell, Leonard L (D-IA) $15,000 Boyda, Nancy E (D-KS) $2,500 Braley, Bruce (D-IA) $10,000 Burner, Darcy (D-WA) $2,500 Busby, Francine P (D-CA) $10,000 Carney, Chris (D-PA) $10,000 Castor, Kathy (D-FL) $1,000 Courtney, Joe (D-CT) $5,000 Cranley, John (D-OH) $5,000 Davis, Jack (D-NY) $5,000 Derby, Jill T (D-NV) $5,000 Donnelly, Joe (D-IN) $5,000 Duckworth, Tammy (D-IL) $10,000 Edwards, Chet (D-TX) $5,000 Ellison, Keith Maurice (D-MN) $2,500 Ellsworth, Brad (D-IN) $7,500 Evans, Lane (D-IL) $10,000 Farrell, Diane Goss (D-CT) $6,500 Filson, Steve N (D-CA) $2,500 Gillibrand, Kirsten E (D-NY) $2,500 Goldmark, Peter James (D-WA) $1,000 Hafen, Tessa (D-NV) $5,000 Hall, John (D-NY) $1,000 Hare, Philip G (D-IL) $5,000 Hill, Baron (D-IN) $10,000 Hodes, Paul W (D-NH) $10,000 Jackson, Jesse Jr (D-IL) $2,100 Jennings, Christine (D-FL) $2,500 Johnson, Hank (D-GA) $5,000 Kagen, Steven Leslie (D-WI) $2,500 Kellam, Phil (D-VA) $3,500 Kilroy, Mary Jo (D-OH) $5,000 Klein, Ron (D-FL) $7,000 Lampson, Nick (D-TX) $2,500 Loebsack, David (D-IA) $5,000 Lucas, Ken (D-KY) $5,000 Madrid, Patricia A (D-NM) $5,000 Maffei, Dan (D-NY) $2,500 Mahoney, Tim (D-FL) $5,000 Marshall, Jim (D-GA) $7,000 Matheson, Jim (D-UT) $2,500 McNerney, Jerry (D-CA) $5,000 Melancon, Charles J (D-LA) $5,000 Miller, Les (D-FL) $2,100 Mitchell, Harry E (D-AZ) $5,000 Murphy, Chris (D-CT) $5,000 Murphy, Lois (D-PA) $6,500 Murphy, Patrick J (D-PA) $16,326 Paccione, Angie (D-CO) $1,000 Perlmutter, Edwin G (D-CO) $5,000 Rodriguez, Ciro D (D-TX) $5,000 Salazar, John (D-CO) $5,000 Schakowsky, Jan (D-IL) $1,000 Seals, Dan (D-IL) $5,000 Sestak, Joe (D-PA) $5,000 Shea-Porter, Carol (D-NH) $7,500 Shuler, Heath (D-NC) $10,000 Space, Zachary T (D-OH) $5,000 Spratt, John M Jr (D-SC) $5,000 Spencer, Selden (D-IA) $2,500 Sulzer, Joe (D-OH) $5,000 Sutton, Betty Sue (D-OH) $5,000 Tinklenberg, Elwyn (D-MN) $2,000 Walz, Timothy J (D-MN) $3,500 Weaver, John Michael (D-KY) $1,000 Welch, Peter (D-VT) $7,500 Wetterling, Patty (D-MN) $3,500 Wilson, Charlie (D-OH) $7,000 Yarmuth, John A (D-KY) $3,500 I don't see any particular pattern of money going to early states (or even to Obama supporters). The main pattern is that a lot of these people were in very tight races (or at least races that were supposed to have been very tight).

He spends more because his last name isn't Clinton. It's called name recognition.
yes or no.. what's wrong with obamaites? They don't think Barak should apply the same standards to himself as other?

He doesnt seem to want to talk aobut his 100,000$  discount on his house when the market was booming, or his support of Mining corporations lowering standards with his support, and their checks to his campaigns.

Yep, he's "special" all right.

Edwards!

"He spends more because his last name isn't Clinton. It's called name recognition."

Thanks God, his name ISN'T CLINTON. It's called name recognition.
Hillary messed up pretty bad with that Obama campaign finance hullaballoo.  She dipped herself straight down into the depths of every stereotype people give her- deceitful, deceptive, spiteful, manipulative.  She proved the stories true that her campaign routinely pushes negative news about the other candidates while she claimed to "stay above the fray".   Just add it to the list of one more ignorant move that will continue to chip away at her and help Obama climb the ladder.

REAL Change, BETTER America... NEW politics...
We NEED Barack Obama.
Is it a  y e s or  n o , Mr. Obama ?
The comment above concerning the donations, especially the one to Clinton's campaign, is very interesting. First Read should do a story on that and ask Hillary to respond to the facts concerning her funding from Hopefund.
You can list as many as you want. Bottom of line is people now want to know the anwser, yes or no, straight anwser, shouldn't be that hard. This is only one issue to show Obama is not that honest as he said he is. Obama can not be trusted.
I did some digging and found that Obama's hopefund did give Senator Hillary Clinton $4200 for her re-election campaign.....

I guess Hillary is paying back Obama because the amount was too low??????
Is it a  y e s or  n o , Mr. Obama ?

Just FYI, I doubt Mr. Obama will be joining us on First Read this morning. Maybe you can submit this question on his website.
Poor Obama, everyone mentions how Hillary sounds scared... it's nothing more than fear or plain old ignorance. Hillary is a picture of complete calm, and when I get to happily crow to everyone once Obama endorses Hillary as the Democratic nominee. This will happen, of course, after Hillary sweeps NH, IA, and SC.
As a Democrat interested in politics, I am still trying to figure out where Hillary's support is coming from in the polls.  Everyone that I talk to, even die-hard Democrats, are suspicious of her.  She may have the name recognition, but few people I know want to return to the Clinton administration.  Bill Clinton's misbehavior is the reason we have George W. Bush as our President today.
Even though I personally favor Joe Biden, Obama reminds me of JFK,  I would love to see these two get together.
Nock..nock...who's there? The American People, Mr. Obama, awaiting your answer. yes or no ? About you Campaign finances remember ?
'...Nock..nock...who's there? The American People, Mr. Obama, awaiting your answer. yes or no ? About you Campaign finances remember ?
It's Johnny...'

There's the Clinton 'campaign' at work
All these 'new bloggers' (hi van)
All they talk about is a manufactured issue ?

This looks silly
they're accusing Obama of doing WHAT HILLARY DID !!

Hillary is showing how desperate she is
Would she be attacking on such thin issues if she were confident ?
Bringing up campaign finance will only point up how crooked she is

If she panics like this after a dip in the polls...
What would she do if she were President (sic) ?
Call Bill ? Call Madeline Albriight/Half Bright ?
Complain that Iran was 'swiftboating' her ?

Hillary's not ready for prime time
She's weak and insecure
She votes for war to look strong
But that only shows how weak she is

Back to the drawing board, Clintonistas
How about Barbara Bush ?
She's an 'experienced' woman !!
And she's not as crooked as Hillary
