NBC/NJ’s Erin McPike reports from the post-debate spin room: The way the Romney

campaign put it, Giuliani attacked him personally on the immigration issue. Several representatives said that he got "nasty." Romney counsel Ben Ginsberg also said that he thought the debate had too much of a focus on social issues, and that CNN spent too much time on gay marriage.

Both Ginsberg and communications director Matt Rhoades called Thompson's YouTube video the first "negative attack" ad of the race. Ginsberg said his reaction was "extreme puzzlement."

Spokesman Kevin Madden addressed the Confederate flag question, and said that both South Carolina residents and Romney consider the issue to have been dealt with, and the campaign's understanding is that voters want to hear about kitchen table issues, so that's what they would rather spend their time on.

Moreover, as Huckabee had a live shot with a network, an older reporter -- we don’t know who it was -- was trying to push his way through to ask some questions. A Huckabee campaign aide kept saying, "Easy, easy," but the reporter knocked him over, causing him to fall to the floor.

Huckabee saw this and said, "Did he hit my guy? Get security. Get him out of here." About four security guys came over and tried to get him to leave, but he resisted a bit. He finally was escorted out but was not arrested.

From the Spin Room, More like the local gas station Sh!tt house!

Is it not gut wrenching trying to understand the barriers which the Washington self serving Paper Hangers have placed before the American People?? Is it we the People go through the ""Process"" of electing a ""NEW"" president every four years only as a act? While the Home steading Washington self serving Paper hanger serves to what useful factor? Conjecture and mis representation of written law to be twisted to serve those in the Paper Hanger club.
Spokesman Kevin Madden addressed the Confederate flag question.

I suppose the stars and bars crowd will not vote for Mitt next year.

The Confederate flag issue is NOT settled as far as SC natives are concerned. That flag is a white supremacist poke in the eye to the US Government. Please read the book "Rally 'Round the Flag Boys." Also, read the SC newspapers of 1962 and you will understand just what that flag is all about.
I have been saying for months now that Huckabee was going to "catch on".  As one who follows politics on both sides of the aisle, I can honestly say that the ONLY thing Huckabee does not have is a good dose of what I like to call in the GOP..."The Smarm Factor".  He is a great Orator, but on the Republican side, he does not have the "smarminess" of let's say...a Rudy Guiliani, and that's too bad, because my Republican sister, who is now waking up to these debates really does like Mike Huckabee, but he does not have a chance in the National "How Dirty Can You Get" Elections.
I intend to vote for Huckabee otherwise not sure what I will do re a different candidate.
The people in Arkansas would vote for him again as governor if he could run. He is popular with the whole state.

Manuel Soberanes for President.

Yes mikeeg, No one could pay me to watch or listen to this bunch of meat heads lie and yak for hours!
Sad for the repukes that not one is worth a free ride to never, never land. Imagine the nut jobs having a difficult job trying to vote for any of them.  It would be a choice between constant vomiting and frequent diarrhea!
Jumping into my little time machine I've discovered that the Dems take total control of Congress next year.

In that case I will be voting for Huckabee......my short term memory tells me that One-Party Rule doesn't work.

Besides, I love news about investigations, and there will be alot of those!
Romney will carry no state in the South after his flag comments. And a GOP candidate in the primary or national election has not done it without the South in a long, long while. Shocking Romney made the statements as Romney belongs to a racist cult which is already unpalatable with many voters. His campaign has ended. Rudy's "Sex On The City" scandal will sink his whitehouse aspirations as well. Much changed last night.
