This is as bad as what happened to McCain in South Carolina eight years ago. The only difference seems to be the Bush campaign had the sense to do it only a few days before the voting.

It also makes the Clinton campaign's denials about the madrassa thing, as well as the more recent Novak thing, harder to accept.

I think they should have stuck with the kindergate line of attack, lol.

This whole story makes me think of a story my mother tells of my younger sister and I.  Mom would come into the room after hearing my sister start crying, to see me holding a toy away from her and about to punch her.  I got in trouble several times for this "Bullying" my sister.  One day Mom happens to watch my sister come into the room I was playing in, check to see if she could see Mom, and then go over to me, grab at my toy and sock me, she then sat down and started crying her head off.  My Mom came in, having seen the whole thing of course, and grabs up my sister asking her "What do you think you are doing young woman?"  to which my sister replied "But He hit me back First!!"

This Clinton volunteer was simply acting like a "Clinton".  This incident illustrates the mentality within the Clinton campaign -- "WIN AT ALL COST".

I am a volunteer with the Obama campaign in Minnesota.  I have worked on the campaign, first as a grassroots volunteer with an ad hoc organization, and now in conjunction with the staff now on the ground since Obama announced in January '07.  We have always discussed the other candidates with integrity.  In fact, we have been strictly advised that we are not to denigrate the other candidates in any way.  I say this because the kind of problem experienced by the Clinton campaign as described above is systemic--it speaks for the larger organization.  If this person, who was apparently well-versed in politics since she is a county chair, forwarded this hateful email to 8 persons, knowing it was untrue and a smear and that if discovered, it would be a problem and did it anyway, it is because of the culture of the campaign.  This is the same culture that planted questions.

When I was a volunteer at a speech Obama gave in Waverly, Iowa I asked the local Iowa staffer if I could ask Barack a question about energy that I personally was interested in.  The staffer told me that people associated with the campaign (I had my Obama t-shirt on) could not ask questions of Obama during the forum because it might give the appearance of a planted question.  I waited until after the forum and gave my question in writing to one of Obama's aides.  

The campaign was obviously going to make certain no questions were planted or even given the appearance of a plant.

This is the difference in the two campaigns.  One stands for integrity and one for politics as usual.  Which would you choose?

According to the Muslim bylaws once you are Muslim, you are a Muslim; If you are borne from a parent (s) that are Muslim you are Muslim. I suggest that someone ask Obama when in debate if "he is a Muslim and if he believe in the Koran. (he would need to give straightforward answer. He can not extend the answer.
About Hillary: Why each one of those that somehow don't like Hillary ask yourself a question "Why do I hate or dislike Hillary?", It is because I have been influenced by the media?.See what is happening now with disclosure of the inteligence report on Iran; the entire right wing machinery is trashing down the report, soon no one will believe the report and Bush will get his way. (Don't you get it?)This elections is not a game is the future of our nation. My friends this is your hands.
Now lets go to the facts. What better way to know that Hillary is the best chance we have to face the right wing cult machinery. i am PROUDLY independent and pleased to see the meltdown of the snake in the rose garden: Hillary Clinton. Much as i anticpated it occuring, i did not expect such a hollywood sort of event. i just want this country to see the dishonesty PRIOR to entering a 'contract' our congress is for whatever reason unwilling to break.

The Clintons have never had any values.  Every thing is in some gray area. Every thing is for sale. Why is it that some dirty trick comes as a surprise?

Well, it was bound to happen.  The first year that anyone other then an old white man from a wealthy family runs, everyone gets upset and begins with the racial slurrs.  Imagine how the southerners must be feeling -- they have to choose between a chick and a black guy.

Well I read articles on MSN, listen to the nightly news and listen to talk radio and feel that I am informed enough to know that I will NOT be voting for another Clinton ... The current administration isn't doing a great job and part of their problems stems from ( History Channel did a story on this) the Clinton administration when he had the opportunity to get rid of Bin Laden and didn't want to hurt the Bin Laden family so it was okay for Bin Laden to kill innocent people on Sept. 11th ..it seems to me that it has been forgotten already... So take the time to research before you vote...This woman isn't voting for her I think I have done my homework ...

In retrospect electing Obama might be just as bad as electing a Muslim to the highest office in the land. This whole election stinks of racism. Oprah only backs Obama because of his skin color. I have a concern about Obama; specifically his use of cocaine. Why is this a non- issue? Is it ok for the president of the United States to be a confessed felon? How many times did he use cocaine? What was the largest amount of cocaine was he around? How many drug dealers did he aid and abet? How can this country even consider voting for a man whose moral compass was so broken, and whose moral authority in such question? What are parents going to be able to say to their children if they are caught with cocaine if this man becomes president? Why are people afraid to ask him these questions?
